I had a very good experience here. Shawn Young assisted me. She was very patient and did her best to give me a very good pair of glasses for a reasonable price. I would not expect most people with their individual needs and wants to get 2 pair of glasses for $60, but I would expect to get quick service, an eye exam, and reasonably priced glasses, and I was called in to pick up my glasses before I expected them to arrive. I hope that you all have as good of an experience as I had.

My Husband and I both loved our experience!!! We were seen earlier than our scheduled appointment. All of their associates were very attentive, polite and very professional. We loved Sherry Hampton especially because she was very funny, down to earth, super friendly and really went the extra mile to help us feel at ease with our overall experience and purchase!!! I called around lunch and made an appointment. Showed up, did the eye exam it was quick. Then Shay helped me find a pair the was good for me. She explained the different lens protections and my prescription. All in all good choice for a glasses store. Highly Recommend

Everyone was super friendly and professional. We walked in to get information and were able to complete an eye exam and purchase glasses. We stopped by, because they were open late on a Saturday and had a $59 Special advertised for an exam and two pair of glasses. We didn’t end up getting that special, because we wanted higher quality lenses, so out of pocket was $$$, but the rest of the experience was great! Shawn was a great help. She walked us through the details of the special and their BOGO sale for the higher level frames/lenses. She explained every charge and every discount, including the military discount. The doctor is only there one day a week, so the exam was done via telemedicine - on a video monitor with the help of the optometry assistant. They have the ability to make some lenses in the store, but ours had to be sent out. Turn around time is typical, 10-14 business days. Hoping we get them sooner. They also had an available credit plan. So far we are pleased with the experience. I will update the review if anything changes.

Today I went in and got my first pair of glasses. The wait wasnt bad even though they were busy and I got in and out fairly quickly. The best part was SHERRY who helped me. Never came here before and usually I’d have to wait hours or even weeks for glasses & paying $300 out of pocket. But I came in here and they patiently waited for me to find a pair that I liked and they made my glasses within minutes and I paid $160!!!! Came in today for an appointment at 5, they were pretty busy but handled everything amazingly even being short staffed. The lady who was running the front by herself, I believe her name is Sherry, I’m bad with names if I’m wrong, she did great handling all customers. There was another lady, I didn’t get her name, but she did my eye exam, she complemented my tattoo and told me about hers. Very comfortable and friendly environment and highly recommend. I made my appointment on line and received specific instructions on what they expected upon arrival during the pandemic. Upon arrival I was temperature checked (my mom and I both) and I can not say enough about the young ladies who assisted me during the eye exam and after. They were completely professional, courteous and really took their time with me making sure I was happy with the glasses/sunglasses I was purchasing. I loved that they really cared about their customers. Great customer service is hard to find and they really go the extra mile.

My first time coming here and I loved it in the start. I was able to make an appointment the same day that I called and everything. I ordered both my glasses and contacts from here. When I went in to pick up my glasses I had no issues. But when I went to pick up my glasses that was a different story. The lady that gave me my contacts had her mask under her nose to the point where I could see her top lip. We are in a pandemic!! She comes in contact with tons of people everyday. And she’s wearing her mask like that? Yikes. She should be wearing her mask correctly to keep not only herself safe, but everyone else that goes in there safe. She tried showing me my contacts order but I asked her not to because I didn’t want her touching my things because I felt un safe because of how she was wearing her mask. Please do better and care about your customers well being. Eye doctors are essential, we come here because we have to. Very disappointed.

What I experienced is that they have a small and poor selection of frames 2 pairs for $59.95 with a free exam and a larger selection of expensive frames forcing customers to buy the expensive frames. Dont let the 2 pairs for $59.95 fool you. Americas best has a better deal...go check it out!

I was skeptical about talking to the doctor over a screen but everything went so great! I got to leave with a pair of contacts and they said my 6.month supply should be in within 5 days! I would definitely recommend this place!

I was very disappointed with Stanton Optical. I guess I didnt read the small print. An actual doctor does not do your exam. All readings are done by a technician. You then speak with a doctor via TELEHEALTH. I want a doctor to ACTUALLY LOOK in my eyes and check for cataracts, retinopathy, and any other abnormal conditions that a tech may not be trained to catch. They need to be more transparent with their advertising. Im tired of all this telehealth stuff. It has its place in medicine for sure but sometimes you have to actually touch a patient to give an adequate exam.

I called to schedule an appointment and was very adamant over the phone about if they take my insurance or not. The man assured me that they did. When I went in the women that assisted with the exam were very helpful. However, at the end of my exam I had to pay full price for the exam. She explained that I had the insurance but I was prime. She was very helpful and even showed me where I could use my insurance to order my contacts. The only issue I had was the gentleman on the phone that assured me my insurance would cover most of it. The women in store were very friendly and professional.

I am so glad I found this place just recently being stationed at Fort Hood, TX with my husband. The associates were super friendly, professional, patient and welcoming! I was able to leave with my contact lenses, free solution bottle and case to include my glasses being done within 15-20 minutes same day! The licensed practitioner who conducted my exam was also very patient. My experience at Stanton Optical in Killeen did not disappoint!

I was having a bad day when my glasses broke while I was working. Mind you that I work looking at a PC all day and I am quite blind without my glasses so I walk in and handed my broken glasses to Christia and said I need help I need new frames. She took the time to find frames that would fit my lenses since the ones that broke were not available she was awesome great customer service she deserves a raise people..

One star is too much for them!The day my husband went in for his appointment the female helping him was more concerned with eating her breakfast 5 minutes after they opened then helping him. Then they told him 7 to 10 days and we werent thrilled with that but okay. After 10 days we checked on the status and it said another week and would be ready today the 11th of May. So we called to check on the today and now its the 18th. We have gotten two different excuses, 1st. they messed up the order and had to redo them and 2nd that ups has a hold on them for some reason. They have been extremely unprofessional and who knows what the next excuse will be. After being fed up with their excuses I asked what it would take to just get my money back and they told me they would get back to me in a few days as to whether or not they will do that. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Honestly I don’t post reviews but this place really upset me. I came in for an eye exam today and it was very busy which I completely understand. I waited patiently and had a pleasant time with the lady who helped me with my eye exam. She was so kind bless her heart. She was multitasking the best she could and was still very kind to me. When the exam was done they told me to wait in the front for my prescription. As I waited I was continuously overlooked. Those who took the exam after me were helped effortlessly as I continued to wait. An hour later I finally got someone’s attention where they seated me at a desk to be helped. 30 mins later still no help.I saw that everyone was busy but the moment someone opened up I got overlooked AGAIN. I am one who does not like to feel so upset and angry so I had to leave and once I was they were finally ready to help me. I don’t feel like someone should get upset in order to be helped. There was also an elderly man who went waaay before me also being overlooked. I’m never going back again n I definitely will not be recommending anyone else to go either especially elderly who are easily overlooked. My payment for my eye exam wasn’t worth it honestly.

Attention All Medicaid families only- My experience with this place wasn’t good at all. Very unprofessional when it came to the most important 1st step... Running your insurance ahead of time before you set an appointment. That didn’t happen at this place. I was told that I was in network, and we set an appointment. Just to get there and be rushed to the back, eye exam was done virtually, no in house Drs. Then afterwards, they laid out how much I’m supposed to pay, when like I mentioned before, my insurance is Medicaid. I was told that they only “Work” with Medicaid. Terms I tell you are important to pay attention too. The supervisor that was on shift, straight up threw her employees under the bus by saying she’s gonna have a talk with them, that they should’ve ran the insurance ahead of time. UNACCEPTABLE! That tells a customer a lot about what’s going on in this facility if you can’t take account for your own employees. Because after all where are they getting their training from... the sky?

I was very impressed when I went into the office over a year ago. I purchased glasses that were BOGO however I decided that I wanted contact lenses and wanted my prescription so I called and asked them if they were able to email it to me and was told yes and verified my email. Before the end of the call the guy asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment for contacts, I said no because I found them cheaper somewhere else. Needless to say after a few days and a few more requests for the script, I still have not received it via email.

Everything was super easy and simple here, and went by rather quickly and professional.

Prices are good but dont have much selection for the advertised deal. If you need glasses now this may not be the place for you. They take 3 to 4 weeks to get them in. So slow! Americas Best is $10 more but my husband had his within a week. I should have gone there for my daughter also. Lesson learned.

Have been wearing glasses for 1 1/2 years and by far my first visit here I love this place. The associates are polite, funny and helpful. They helped me with a huge inventory of glasses which is awesome, gave me a price breakdown, and shared with me on how to read my prescription. I even got my glasses same day with the help of their in house specialists. Big thanks to Kayla and Brian for making my day! I will definitely be back!

Review pertains to my experience calling to schedule**Upon calling to schedule, I requested to be scheduled at the same time as my husband if possible. I gave date/time of his appt, and the gentleman that I was speaking to (CJ) offered 2 timeslots for me. I asked him to give me whichever would be closer to my husbands and get us in and out quickest. He was very vague but very sneaky at skating over my questions and requests. Several times I referred to my husbands name and appt date/time.At the end of the call, he said we will see you both this Friday. I felt like something was wrong so I called to ask my husband if I had the correct number. I DID NOT! I HAD CALLED THE WRONG OFFICE AND THE GUY WAS APPARENTLY SO STARVED FOR PATIENTS THAT HE DELIBERATELY MISLED ME!! The dishonesty was completely uncalled for. I will never schedule here because of this one interaction. It is unfortunate because this could possibly be a good eye doctor. I will never know.

Id have to say the only good thing about this establishment is that the staff is very nice and polite at all times. But the over all service is not quite up to par. One of the lenses was scratched due to machine malfunction, which happens, so they rush ordered the new lenses. There was no communication after that. If we wanted info we had to call or go to the store to find out anything. Even after we were told we would get a call from them. I dont think we were called back once. Then we never received the lenses. I come back a few months later to find out about them and they did what they could to find them but again, never got a follow-up call. Had to keep going to the store to find out anything. They eventually told me that they they werent able to locate the glasses. But they did offer a refund or a free pair of glasses. But I still had to go to the store to find out the status on it. But anytime I went they were very nice and polite. I gave them 2 stars for politeness and compensation.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience here! Do not waste your time! My sister in law needed new glasses and saw Stanton’s special with the free eye exam if you get your glasses there. We went through the whole process and it wasn’t until she PAID for her glasses that she was told it would be up to two weeks for her glasses to arrive at the store. As if they couldn’t have informed us of that BEFORE we spent our money? They offered her temporary contacts which she had NEVER worn before but obviously she didn’t have a choice otherwise she wouldn’t be able to see or function. It’s been nearly three weeks now with no word from Stanton. When she went to the store today to talk with someone in person they proceed to tell her, “Oh, your glasses are right here.” Completely wrong style, frame and prescription! How could it be screwed up so horribly? Now she’ll have to wait two more weeks (if not more) for another pair of glasses and of course they don’t have any contacts to offer her. Absolutely awful customer service, just save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Don’t do business with them, they will give you a lot of negativity.

This was an interesting Odyssey. First of all, my eye exam was not done in person. It was done remotely via computer and TV screen. The guy barely talked to me. Got my prescription, done. They gave me a contact lens trial pair. With it I could not read the street signs when I was driving. So I got a re-examination done, this time with a live person. But that is only possible on Tuesdays. Thats the only time they have a life person in the office for exams. My prescription was adjusted and a different kind of contact lens was decided upon. When I looked up the price for the contact lenses, they charged me $86 for a 6 months supply of contact lenses. (I just need it for one eye). I looked up the contact lenses online, and a three month supply was between $13.95 and $16.95 For the Acuvue Oasis. and there were a lot of well-known suppliers offering this same lens. I had also been told that they come in 12 count boxes only. Online I found three months supplies (6 lenses) just fine. Im not particularly impressed with the way they do business. The only reason I gave them two stars, is the staff. They are very nice. Definitely, definitely not going back.P. S. Thank you for your reply. However, I do not feel I can trust this business. The discrepancy in price for the identical lenses is just too ridiculous.

I ordered glasses through them. They said they would be ready before I deploy back to Fort hood. They werent ready before i left. Ive tried calling every day to have the order transferred or shipped to my house. THEY WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. went to a location in Killeen they said I need to call the one I went to in el paso to have the paper prescription faxed over. Once again they WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. Been on hold over an hr every day for 4 days at different times of the day and not one person has picked up.

This is the worst facility I been waiting on contacts from this place since January. Then I call customer service and they havent even processed my order from January and I paid in full. If I can give the a -5 in stars I would.

My family went in today to get new glasses. I was very disappointed with the limited amount of glasses that they have for their 2 for $59 deal. They literally had 6 pairs of glasses and they were either half the size of my face or small enough for a child. We ended up doing their normal deal of buying one and getting one free. We found two pairs for $109 and expected to pay $109 and thats all. However the woman was trying to charge us nearly $400. After telling her that wasnt going to work she was nice enough to give us a discount and she was able to lower the price to $170. We obviously paid it because we had already done the eye exam at that point and so there was really no turning back. It sucked expecting to pay $60 and end up having to pay $170. They need to be more clear about their deals and tell you before you pay a cent! Thankfully Sheri was able to help us. Sort of. Honestly your better off going to Walmart or buying glasses online.

I got a great eye exam at Stanton Optical in Killeen, TX. However, I was there multiple times trying different contacts and then they ordered COMPLETELY WRONG ONES. Now I am working out of state and keep calling customer service and in hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected. I dont know if anyone knows what is happening with the daily ins and outs.

I wish I could write a better review, because there were some positive aspects to my visit. The Optometrists was top notch and very professional, the facilities were clean and well maintained, and the staff was pleasant. After picking out 2 pairs of frames, I was told to return in an hour and they would be ready. I gave them an hour and twenty, and returned to...neither pair being ready. I was told one pair had chipped a lense when putting them in the frames, and as they were for sunglasses - they would have to remake both lenses. My other pair were not ready either. I sat around for a while, only to be told...neither pair was ready. 15 minutes shy of 4 hours and I had no glasses. I offered to return the next day. I called them at 12:30 to check the status, and was told the sunglasses were being put together, but the progressive bifocals would take up to 14 days! This was in no way mentioned or explained to me when I ordered and waited for them the previous day. In all fairness, my son ordered two pairs of glasses, and his were ready that day and on time - so for basic glasses, they were on point.

Christia the brand manager was the sweetest from the moment we walked in . I wasn’t even planning on getting glasses but they had such good deals and so kind that me and my husband bought two pairs each. Very quick service . Got them within ten minutes with my new prescription. Definitely going back!

I called to check the status on my order of my 2nd pair of glasses. I was told there is a hold on the delivery. The customer service representative said they dont know when they will be in. I asked if they are going to refund part of the cost and was told again they dont know when they will be in. I will NEVER go back to them.

Stanton Optical is quick and efficient!! I went to the ER today and the doctor says I can’t wear contacts for the next 2 weeks. It’s 4:30pm and I call everywhere, but Stanton Optical said come on in... eye exam done in 15 minutes picked out a pair of glasses and sun glasses... Was going to be pretty pricy, but Bryan helped me out!! He knew this was unexpected expense and made it so I could walk out with at least a pair of glasses this evening. I had never had glasses, much less an eye exam. These ladies were amazing!!! Christa helped me pick some sweet frames while Teresa was getting my exam ready! They were great, then Brittany got my glasses ready in minutes!!!!! Christa was the real MVP though! She worked with my budget to find me the perfect glasses!Please stop by and ask for these lovely ladies!!!

Full five stars. These people really are here to help. They will do anything they can to make sure you get the glasses you want and need. Its such a relief for my partner and I to be able to see again!

My daughters glasses broke late Friday night and I was able to get an appt Saturday morning. Great service from everyone we talked with. Sherry was exceptional. There was a system hiccup and she did her very best to get my daughter a pair of glasses the same day. I would recommend to Stanton company to somehow find a way to let your employees know the glasses will be sent to the factory prior to them completing the transaction. Other than that everything was great!

My appointment was made super late, I live an hour away had to rush there, & they didn’t even have my information. BUT both the people that helped me were super kind & extremely understanding. I appreciate them. Totally recommending this location to all friends!
