My family from out of town wanted to receive some firearms training and range time, but I was hesitant about doing it in Killeen. My concern was a high-strung, rapid-fire instructor, who although their intentions are well-meaning, wouldnt be able to relate to people who literally havent fired a gun in their lives. I had nothing to worry about. Instead of me writing a long, boring paragraph, Im going to write this in bullet points.* Excellent student-to-instructor ratio* Classroom location was quiet with no distractions* Classroom setup was ready for us well before start time, with plenty of training aids for hands-on* Instructor was personable, motivated, and showed a genuine concern that everyone was safe and prepared for the range* in my opinion, there are 2 types of teachers. The 9-to-5 clock watchers, and the ones who have a love and passion for what they are teaching. Damon is the latter.* Results of the range? Within 4 hours, five people who were completely untrained and unfamiliar with firing a handgun, became confident individuals in employing a handgun safely, and on target. A win for the community.
This may because of Covid, but hes never there. My hours are random when Im off so I dont know when Ill be off myself. Says hes closed at 1800 (6pm). I called him to pick up a fire arm i bought online. Tells me to see him 2-6 days once the firearm arrives there. Payed for 2 day shipping just for it to sit in his store for when he feels its convenient to let me stop by. Then one of the three times I got a fire arm sent to him. Told me to wait 3 days when hes in town. I ask if 3pm is good? Not for him. He told me 630pm... Then when I get there. He tells me while Im filling out paperwork hes be working on something at home for the past few days and how its frustrating. So he lies to me. The other two times, I order a pistol, waited 2 days after he told me come by, as Im on my way, he cancelled on me. TWICE! Then now my last time Ill use him, I order a pistol. Pay for 2 day shipping. Waited 5 days and he tells me he made me wait multiple days because he wants a to do many people as possible instead on one at a time. But one of the times I called him while waiting he said he lived about 10 mins away. I guess you get what you pay for.... and also its a concealed carry class... not a gun shop. Google adds him to it for some reason.

Super friendly and enormously helpful. I was having a hard time getting a lower delivered for my new AR build and Average Joe Guns went above and beyond. So thankful. I will recommend them to everyone.
I had a pleasant experience here at this establishment. Damon was VERY helpful, and informative. I will most definitely refer my friends and family to pay you a visit.
Damon very knowledgeable, even in these days my ordering was simple and easy. Delivery was a little longer than I liked but not his fauly and uncontrollable, but he kept me posted on situation.
I had an Awesome experience at Average Joe Guns for my LTC class; Damon is very professional, informative and made the class very interesting. He was very encouraging because some of us were really nervous but we all passed, yayyyyy!
Nice spot, but WAY over priced guns. M&P is a $400 gun and they have it at 800
Got triple charged and got no refund after contact him twice
