I dont usually write bad reviews but this is the Worst place to shop for guns and ask for questions. Easily gets iritated. And the kid with long blonde hair and glasses is not much of a help either to the lady. Acts like you owe them money. LOL .yall can do better customer service than that. At the end of the day youre still in business and hoping for buyers to come in so act a little more competent especially to the boy. Atmosphere here is different

I guess everyone has their own bad experiences of customer service. Employees were friendly. Alot of stuff wiped out due to the AR ban that might be coming or not. Only thing I did not like was when I asked for 223 ammo and they had one box left but the gentleman said that box is expensive regarding the price. Maybe he was just helping me out but that was the only thing I did not like. Other then that no issues with the store.

Ive bought a couple guns there, and they are a little overpriced (depending on the item). So far Ive deal with the owner, or his wife, and theyre ok, just need to coax them into info. The younger guy there though, it seems like when you have a question, or god forbid, want to ask him advice for any reason, he acts like its a major inconvenience. Kind of like dealing with a teenager, short, curt answers. Ill probably go again, but wont deal with the kid

My husband and I went to look at a couple of their products and upon entering the store were looked at, nonetheless never greeted. We continued down the aisle when an employee asked the caucasian gentlemen behind is if he needed assistance with anything. My husband and I were never greeted and completely ignored the entire time. We were uncomfortable and decided to leave. Clearly we were not welcomed and in my opinion, it was because of the color of our skin. We didnt want anything from them but good and genuine customer service. No worries, we will take our money elsewhere!

Very rude customer service. My friend and I picked up a firearm he bought online and had transferred to them. Upon arriving the store, the man was extremely rude and would not let him see the gun until paid for. Very poor customer service and extremely unprofessional people. Very helpful gun store! I went today and purchased 2 pistols from them. Both firearms were new in the box. The one I purchased for my wife was 78.00 less than academy and the one that I bought was about 10.00 more than academy. This place had a very friendly staff and just seemed superNice to me. I highly recommend!

If you want to get ripped off, this is the place to go. They have dozens of used guns for $60-$250 over what you can buy them brand new for at academy. I don’t know how they are still in business. It’s seriously a joke. When I asked an employee if they price match or knock numbers down at all. He was rude and ultimately replied no. Please do not go here.

Knowledgeable and very helpful staff. They will answer any question professionally and explain things to beginners to experts alike. If you are a woman, dont hesitate to visit there, even if you are intimidated by weapons. They will make you (or anyone else) comfortable. Decent prices. Ive purchased there a few times before and do not see a reason not to again! I even prefer going to them over shopping on base at aafes.

Knowledgeable folks who know what theyre talking about. Folks complaining about attitude must of never worked retail - youre a know it all if you offer advice and stuck up if you give the customer room to shop. If they offer a opinion is that talking down to you? My experience with most gun folks is they all have opinions - just pick up any gun magazine or search the internet. If you feel theyre talking down to you maybe you should give your opinion on why you are right- you may both walk away a little smarter. If you have a complaint then ask for Dave or Kathy and theyll fix it.

They have a huge selection of guns but the prices are ridiculously high. The people behind the counter would have a conversation with each other or a single person about things totally unrelated to the shop and buying customers have to stand and wait until they are done, very annoying. And they have no problems about making fun of their customers. I was wearing a jacket that said gander mountain and one of the people behind the counter told me i should take it off as the others laughed at me and called it dumb.

Theyre ok but extremely overpriced. I would only shop there if there was a weapon you could only find there and thats not the case these days with online shopping. For exampleI found what I was looking for (Lefthand Remington 700) but was priced above 700$. I found it online on Buds gun shop for 530ish. Also heard FFL firearm transfer fee is outrageous. Go to Texas Star Shooting range a minimal 20 for transfer. Customer service was not poor but certainly absent of any good notes.

Review №30

Looks like this place still continues the their tradition of being rude and overpriced. Ive been here and bought a few guns here back when I was stationed at Ft. Hood in 06, and even back then they were overpriced and gave you the suspicious eye like they expect you to try to steal something. It reminded me a lot of the film, Dont Be a Menace, in that scene where the two main characters go into the convenience store. Looks like their FFL transfer fees have gotten a bit better (needs a lot of quotations), at $75, as the review from 2 years ago states. It used to be that they wanted something like 50 or 75 bucks, PLUS a PERCENTAGE of the PURCHASE PRICE of the FIREARM!! I try so hard to support the local business, but then I encounter a place like this and I cant help and be completely unsurprised that local businesses go under.

VERY friendly and knowledgeable group of guys and gal. ive bought most of my guns here because they have such a great selection. ive been there more times than i can remember and have never had one single issue / problem. i recommend them highly.if i had to point out one negative thing about the place, it would be the size of the store. when its busy in there, its really tight to maneuver around. when i drive by, i count the cars in the parking lot. if theres more than 2 cars, i will come back later. i like it better when i have the store almost to myself.

FFL Transfer - according to the guy that I talked to its a $25 fee to do a transfer UNLESS they have the item in the store then its $75, guns at the store are a little pricy but I would still but a gun there but then you turn around and pull this.

I have absolutely 0 clue what all these negative reviews are about lol. I guess most of these nitwits have never worked retail or ever specialized in a field. Well, regardless, some of there forearms are a tad bit over priced but not by much. I was in the market for a lcrw (msrp b is almost 12 grand from what i looked up) and they had it for just under 900. As for their attitude? I havent had any issues. Theyre pretty friendly and satcaatic (which i personally love) and i dont know a lot about guns. Nor did i have the intention of buying that day but the staff was very friendly towards me. Abd i looked at several smgs and assault rifles. Also.. THEY HAVE LAYAWAY. Just for anyone who didnt know. So yeah. I recommend this company to anyone, even if youre on a budget.

The employees are normally very short and oftentimes rude. Their selection is quite good given your wish list, but the prices are absolutely atrocious. No way in hell, regardless of the political atmosphere or general price increases across the board, would a WASR10 AK variant go for anything above $600, and they were (last time I was there) asking $799 for them... thats just one of literally hundreds of examples. They exploit the fact that they have one of the only decent selections in the area, and are unwilling to bend on any prices, they charge a disgusting amount for FFL transfers - $75 - which is unheard of. Most pawn shops will do it for under $30, but again, because people dont know any better, they pay. Their ammo, accessories, i.e., optics, grips, rail systems, magazines, etc., are also ridiculously over priced. I cant really say anything good about this store, except that some of their little posters above the checkout counter are mildly amusing... Over all, the selection is decent, their prices on EVERYTHING sucks, and their employees have no issue ignoring you or acting like they know more than you. Is it worth checking out? Sure! Just long enough to realize that you wasted gas driving out there just to find out everything I said here was true. Dont waste your time with the garbage dump. Quantico is the way to go if your looking for something specific, as long as you dont mind waiting a spell to receive your order.Bottom line- avoid this place like the plague. Much like the club Starlight that it shares proximity with- nothing good has ever or will ever come from this abomination of a retail firearms outlet. But hey, Im just a dumb grunt.

Review №48

About average for the local retail gun market. If you compare them to the pawn shops, theyre competitive. Unfortunately, if youre willing to drive a little or shop online you can find much better deals on similar stock. Theyre about 10-15% marked up on modern firearms. On antiques and mil-surp, they tend to be a bit better but not by much. They have a nice selection of reloading supplies and gunsmithing supplies and theyre fairly priced. Ammunition is about average for the local area and the times being what they are.Staff is hit and miss. If you put in a few appearances and make a couple of purchases, they can be super-friendly. But they tend to be dismissive of first-timers because they get a lot of lookee-loos and idiots that give them crap when they cant sell them a handgun due to intra-state firearms laws.I get what a lot of the other reviewers are saying, but were talking about a retail gun store in a high-demand market -- prices are going to be a bit higher. And as for the staffs attitude, if I had to deal with some of the Killeen trash that comes in there all the time, Id probably be a little rude too.
