I have been coming here on and off for a few years. Never have I been told not to open boxes of ammo before. I have purchased damaged ammo from here in the past. The man shouted not to open the boxes. I asked not to inspect them? In a lower tone mocking me saying they are brand new. I feel if this is your policy please allow an area so customers can inspect their ammo. Please post a sign not to open the boxes. It was a very embarrassing experience and poor customer service. I would praise this store and recommend my customers there often.

Went in today to get my money back for a gun I had put on layaway. Was told by the old Asian guy that it’s a 15% restocking fee. I had only put 100 dollars on it. Took half my deposit for them to just take it out of the box again and put it in the display case, which took them 30 seconds. This is a scam to keep people’s money. Go to Academy. They have friendlier staff. Their prices are not marked up way past retail either. Never going to shop here again.

Jason The General Manager lacks basic customer service skills. I emailed him in an effort to obtain information about a particular gun I was looking for. He replied to my initial email but failed to reply to my follow up. If you don’t want my business just say that instead of leaving me in limbo!

The owner needs to come in and clean house. The younger guy, Ryan has been good to me when I go in there but that’s about it. The rest of the lot are rude and have no customer service skills. The GM is inherently rude along with most of the staff. They give off that they don’t want to sell anything. I called trying to get a military discount and on a specific suppressor as the manufacture lists them as their dealer who would honor it and they gave me the run around saying they wouldn’t do it and then rudely hung up on me. Definitely the worst gun store I have ever experienced. Won’t be getting anymore of my money.

Great experience my 1st time in the shop today.Very friendly & welcoming staff- frankly the opposite of most gun stores. Impressive selection of top quality handguns, especially considering the current shortages. Thanks guys, keep up the great work.Nice to see those tools on your belts too!

Went in looking to purchase a scope and a couple other things for my 308 but wasnt Impressed with the service from the younger guy. I went in looking to get some feedback on which would be the better scope for the price and he definitely couldnt help. Lets say I didnt leave with a scope or hardly any of my questions answered

Very satisfied with the product I bought and the knowledge and patience of William Wilson. Mr Wilson patiently helped me to disassemble and reassemble the product I purchased because I was having difficulty. Thank You. However while I was there I overheard another employee discussing politics with I believe a customer which I felt was not appropriate because I for one disagree with the employee’s opinion and felt uncomfortable. Otherwise I was very satisfied with Marksmen

Customer service is terrible ! Asian guy didn’t want to talk to me, after telling him I wanted to purchase a firearm. All that came out his mouth “I don’t want to talk to you “ if I could give this no stars I would.

Really do like this gun store. I have been here multiple times and have always been treated fair and had all my questions answered. One thing i do love about this place then most other gun stores is how they have layaway. The only reason i wouldnt give them 5 stars is just how they do not have much stuff. I think with how much space is in the building they need to add more gun accessories and items in it. Thats just my personal opinion. Also love how they do military discount, if Im not mistaken.

No one the store knows how to do a return. Many items are marked double the prices at other stores & online retailers. Terrible attitude from some young associates.

Two of the employees Ive talked to while I was there were knowledgable and had good customer service. However I took a free float rail it to be installed on my AR and found out a month later that it was on upside down. Its partially on me for not noticing sooner but still paying someone to do some basic part install and its still jacked up is annoying.

Ive been to this shop twice and received the worst customer service.Ive been building AR-15s for years and the first time I walked in I was getting parts to build a lower, and I had one of the merchants tell me that I didnt know what I was doing. Like seriously, I brushed off that rude comment and purchased my parts.The second time I walked in was about a month later and I was getting parts for an upper receiver this time, and I was standing at the cash register for 20 mins while they just stared at me, and when I asked for service they told me to speak up next time I wanted something from them, if youre a store merchant you should be volunteering yourself to help your customers.I refuse to give these people any business until they clean up their act, maybe take a day off to take classes on customer service and then maybe they might see the importance of customer loyalty.

Went inside once and customer service was not that great. Didnt felt welcome in the store. Call on the phone for some price on parts didnt want to help me out. This is on store that wont see my money.

I highly recommended Marksmen Killeen for all you gun owners out there. I had a great experience, the staff was super knowledgeable about helping me ship my pistol, friendly and made me feel very welcomed.

Great staff and customer service for the most part. I came in to buy a pistol and was recommended a used Taurus. The handgun was $500 I placed it on lay away and put down $100. Found a much cheaper Tarus elsewhere and went back to get money back from the layaway. They informed me of a 15% restock fee which Im okay with understanding inventory management and sales. I get there and they give me $30 back. Confused, I assumed the 15% restock fee came from the amount put down on layaway.... nope. Its from the price of the gun. I explained that if I wouldve known this from the start, I wouldnt have done business here. This is no ones fault at the end of the day, just misleading information. I did however enjoy the staff, they were great.

Bought a couple of rifles from them sales guys are nice and helpful. But last week I stop by after work looking to buy a M1A. After talking to the sale rep trying to negotiate the price he went to asked the GM to get the price lowered. They came back with a sale price of $1770. I asked the Gm if the price included the military discount. He replied thats more than military discount and brush me off. Left and went to knocked and loaded and order a socom 16 a few hundred dollars cheaper. Wear your best Sunday clothes when you visit marksmen you might get a better service from the GM😉

I have bought a couple of items from them in the past. Been trying to call them for two week because of my work load and no one would pick up the phone. I called every in town and they have no problem picking up the phone. Went in there today, was greeted like I normally do. They had three people working and a hand full of customers. They did not have anything that I was looking for. Asked them about the phones and they told me that they are no longer answering the phone. It’s not hard to answer a phone and ask if they can call you back or if you mind holding for a couple. Bad business practice and if one of my employees did that or tell a customer that, they would be gone along with the manager.

Very friendly sales people. In the short period I talked to him he explained a lot to me.

Walked in and was immediately helped out, gave me some time to shop around then they were ready to help me check out when i figured out what I wanted to purchase. I could tell they are very knowledgeable and were nothing but helpful. Would definitely purchase from again.

There’s guns every where and there in good shape

Probably my favorite available option for gun shops in the Killeen/Copperas Cove area. Nice military discounts (not sure what the bad ratings for prices are based on because for the area, Marksmen is pretty competitive). And the guys that work there are cool too. Good mix of crusty old dudes that know their stuff and younger guys there, with no former army cooks that grew a beard and like to pretend theyre Operators. The guys will talk guns with you regardless of whether you buy a gun that day, and as a gun addict trust me when I say their selection is better than all but one other place (that I wont mention b/c this review isnt about that place) in the area. These guys are worth your business in my honest opinion.

I’ve purchased a couple or firearms and extras at this shop and once thought highly of them, but a recent phone call to ask about there ammo and possibly pricing, one of the guys answered rudely and said “ I can’t go down and look right now, just come and look at them yourself.” That’s not really a good way to keep customers. They’ve lost my business. Takes but a second to keep someone happy :)

Jacob is the gunsmith and is a great dude. I will only take my forearms here. Good staff. Not afraid to tell you the best money for a gun even if not at their place. I go to Marksmen first. Period.

Walked into the Store looking for a Used Glock and came out in about 15 minutes with a Brand new one. they have an Extensive Variety of Firearms used and New. They also have Military/Police Discount in some Weapons. It was not as hard as it seems to purchase a Weapon, they where Polite and Helpful on everything i needed.

Professional, knowledge and just overall excellent staff. I have purchased several guns and other items from their store and have always had the same great customer service.

I came in on on tue June 2 2020 with my wife and son my wife wants to build a ar 15 we call a lot but no one answers the phone so we drove to Killeen to look and get want she wanted bill helped her and did a grate job but Jason the manager started joking with here and said some mean things about me he embraced me in front of a lot customer and my son please train this man on customer service

Not sure on firearm purchases but if your thinking about using this company for an NFA item stay far far away. These guys werent sure what their own prices are. They told me one price several times then when I sent my NFA item to them all prices changed! They turned a 3 day process into a 4 month process! DO NOT USE THEM FOR NFA ITEMS! Not trust worthy! There is plenty of better places in the area that is more user friendly. Hope this helps!

Horrible customer service. “Too busy” to deal with other customers that are there. They also don’t carry the necessary part I needed for my handgun, even though they advertise out front that they’re gunsmiths.

Had my pistol moded here. Great place for smithing and purchase. Highly recommend, they have all the stuff from little booms to big. Cheap too expensive.

I want to share with everyone so you can decide if this store is worth or not. On May 22, 2018 I purchased a weapon (FMK 9mm) with the intention to give it to my wife. That day, the interaction with the staff was pretty good and honestly I was happy to know that there was a store close by where I can get my weapons. I am training for competitive shooting and I will be buying lots of gear in the month ms to come. The problem happened after I went home. I decided to clean the weapon since it was very greasy due to be brand new. I started to have problems with the slide. It was impossible to remove the slide from the frame. “Lucky me, the weapon was broken”. The next morning I went back to marksmen Firearms to see if they will help me with the pistol. To my surprise, the salesman was unable to remove the slide either. He called someone else and after a battle with it, they finally removed the slide. It was obvious that the weapon was defective but who cares right. The following Monday after paying our respects to the fallen Soldiers (Memorial Day), I took my family to the range. I gave my wife her surprise and we started shooting. Not for long because the FMK stopped working immediately. Embarrassed and frustrated we left the range. On Tuesday, I went back to the store and told them what happened. The weapon they sold me was broken. I was told that it was my problem now. Told to contact the manufacturer and the warranty will fix it. I contacted FMK and guess what, I had to pay more money to send the weapon to them.I did talk to one of the managers who said, after realizing the lies the staff told him, that they will pay for the shipping.My point is that I believe marksmen firearms were responsible for the weapon. I think they should have replaced the weapon right away. I had the weapon for less than 10 hours when I went back. I was expecting to buy a weapon that I can use, not one that was defective and I am still waiting to receive back. They sold me a broken weapon and now I am suffering and struggling trying to get it fix.

Bought a CMMG upper here not that long ago to finish up my wife AR layaway Option is always great as soon as I paid that off put a KSG 12 on layaway. Greatest gun store In the area.
