Damon is a Great Instructor.My wife and I went to Texas License 2 Carry for a class and could not have been happier about go here.During the duration of the class he stayed engaged with the entire room. Damon made a point to get everyone involved in dialog. He made everyone feel comfortable by quickly calling everyone by their name instead of the typical Sir or Maam, not saying good manners are not a plus, just saying he wanted to really get to know everyone and value their opinions and thoughts.The class also did not feel like it was too long or just would not end and it was far from monotone. Damon definitely managed class time well.He was very knowledgeable on the subject matter and quickly corrected misconceptions or lack of knowledge related to handguns, firearms, as well as government and Texas state laws related to both.His hospitality was great. Coffee, water, mints wear provided for the duration of the class and he also provided lunch. As time permitted he would ensure that the drinks got replenished.

My husband and I attended the Texas License Carry class today hosted by Mr. Damon. The class was very informative and interesting. Mr. Damon offered hands on training and instructions for gun safety. Our family had an absolutely amazing experience. We had a mixed group of shooters ranging from retired military to those who have never shot a handgun before. The class offered something for each and everyone of us. The instructor Damon was very very patient and worked with every shooter to make each feel comfortable and knowledgeable at both the classroom and range activities. This guy is pretty amazing. His teaching skills are perfect. He makes the class easy to follow. Every portion of the class is super interesting and it get all your questions answered, even if you are to shy to ask. Range portion it is easy. This class could be so boring. However, Damon makes it look and sound so fun and interesting. I learned a lot of things I was ignorant of. He explains the thin differences between legal and illegal acts. Theres a bathroom, water, coffee and lunch for free.

Attended the LTC class 1/26. Mr. Cross, in my humble opinion is a very good instructor. Very knowledgeable in the various gun laws, answered any and all questions that anyone had. He took the time to get to know his students and got everyone involved throughout the classroom session. On the range, Mr. Cross was very, very safety aware and explained to all what and how the range process would proceed, making sure all understood. Good job Mr. Cross. Well done. It have been 3 months since I completed my online training and Im still waiting to get my certificate fixed/ corrected. No effort from staff to resolve the issue.(Update) On September 10 Mr. Damon finally replied my messages to ignore and refuse to help in getting a corrected certificate. This individual demonstrated that the business reviews are more important than the customer satisfaction.

Very efficient class and very well organized. To the point and understandable. Instructor has good since of humor so it livens the class up a bit. But over all really well taught and educational for the ones who don’t know much information about carrying. Also a great price for what you get. Highly recommend

This was an amazing class and very thorough. Damon makes sure you learn everything you know and are fully confident in your abilities to carry. I brought my mother to this class with me, before she came to the class she was very inexperienced and not confident in her abilities to handle a firearm. After taking the class she is more confident than ever and feels she can safely and responsibly handle her firearm. The teaching style presented by Damon are suitable for anyone. Very informative and answered all of my questions. The only potential hazard I noticed was when one group was taking the shooting test, the other group was up behind them under a pavilion. I think it would be beneficial if there was someone licensed there for extra safety. Other than that everything was great.

My husband and I took this course together for our Texas LTC. I am so glad we did it here! Lots of information can easily over load you BUT the instructor here is very informative and makes it lively and interactive. If you have any questions at all, he answers in a way that you understand and makes sure that you 100% get it. The range portion is outside at a nearby private range, everything was approached in a way that made us feel safe and it was honestly a pretty good time. He even gives clear instruction upon passing to complete your license process online with the state. Would definitely recommend!

Took the online portion of the class in January, which was very informative and perfect for me because of my busy work schedule. I was finally able to make it to the range today to complete my range qualification and the instruction exceeded expectations. Damon was patient, he took the time at every step to offer guidance to the students on the range, from better ways to hold the pistol while shooting, to easier ways to load magazines, as well as weapon suggestions. I would have to say this was a real learning experience and not one that you tend to experience where you have an instructor being, impatient, condescending or arrogant because of their firearms knowledge. I highly recommend this course and instructor as he is well versed in his material; patient, and confident enough in his skillset to teach without being arrogant.

Damon was extremely knowledgeable and super cool. He had answers to literally any question anyone asked, was very patient, and just an all around great guy. Classroom areas was super clean and super nice. Offered free water and coffee AND even bought lunch for everyone. Really wouldn’t recommend looking anywhere else for your LTC

This is a fantastic class. Mr. Cross is extremely knowledgeable, knows his material and the laws. The class structure is very easy to follow, but I encourage you to take notes and ask questions as needed. Mr. Cross teaching style is interactive and he will call upon you to ask/answer questions. It was overwhelming trying to chose a class in the area because there are so many choices! But I am happy I chose Texas License 2 Carry! Damon was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The class room was a comfortable environment and lunch was provided which was a big plus. While the class was mostly all day, he made class entertaining and easy to follow. I loved that the range was outdoors as well. 10/10 would strongly recommend!

I took the course on line and then qualified later at the range. Damon made this easy to understand, and extremely user friendly when it comes to completing the requirements to getting the LTC. I was easily able to engage him on the telephone if I had any problems and he worked with me to help me get the qualification portion complete. Well worth the price! He does not overcharge!

Absolutely great course. Damon puts out all the necessary information one would need to know and understand current Texas laws and regulations regarding license to carry (LTC). The information is presented in a logical and common sense order. The class size was small (12) which afforded everyone the opportunity to ask and receive answers to their questions. Lets be honest, owning a handgun means you should be damn well versed on right and wrong. I took the course with my wife and son, each of us with varying degrees of handgun experience. At the end of the day, we feel more than confident that we now understand the rules while we are carrying. The range portion was quick and to the point. Damons wife really helped put my wife at ease. Although the course takes up a full day, it was well worth our time. I would recommend this family owned operation to all my friends.

This class Is AMAZING!!! I am so glad I decided to take this class. I was embarrassed to hear exactly how little I truly knew about gun laws and my rights as a carrier. One of the best LTC classes I’ve taken. And I’ve taken 2 in Colorado. Damon is very informative and knows his stuff. And even when you hit him with those tricky confusing questions he is quick to come back with a answer and explains it in a way it’s easy to comprehend. Being my second concealed carry class, I learned even more, the instructor is very engaging and knowledgeable, making sure you ask questions to fully understand his curriculum. I would highly recommend this course. Price is more then fair for the amount of information gained. They even offer a law shield program for whatever legal issues you may find yourself in.

I have been through several concealed weapons classes for other states and this is by far the best. Damon is very well educated on the topic of fire arm safety and legality. I found it very helpful and impressive that he provided the option to sign up for a legal defense program (Texas Law Shield). Over all I thought I was adequately educated on gun laws and carry laws, but because of this class I walked away better prepared better educated!

Sooooooo I truly went into the course thinking it was going to be a long long long boring day... WELL to my surprise it was an amazing day and awesome course! Lots of laughter and easy to understand material that leads to being prepared to take the written exam and then range portion.I’m very pleased with the knowledge of instructor and I enjoyed seeing the business ran from a family oriented standpoint! Mr. D (Damon Cross) as I would have called him is an awesome instructor. Very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and funny. I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Mr. Cross was friendly, knowledgeable and rather comfortable to talk to. I enjoyed that there was an atmosphere of discussion, and not simply a lecture on Texas laws. Damon is the dude! His class gives you all the information needed to legally carry. There is a lot of misinformation about defending yourself, but he clarifies all of that. He makes the class interesting, and fun to learn the information. On the range he acted in a professional manner, was helpful with inexperienced shooters and made sure that we were trained, taught and instructed in a safe manner. The course provides good information and the instructor Mr. Cross has a good quality when it comes to explain the information that is provided on the class that been say any person with language barrier can take the course with no problem at all. I booked my appointment online. It was super easy. I called to confirm everything that I needed for the class. When I arrived the morning of class, the staff were super nice friendly, which helped ease my nerves. The instructor was very knowledgeable. He made it fun, interactive, and a pleasurable experience. He answered any and every question throughout the class.After the class we went to the range. That part was just as enjoyable. The instructor was patient with all of us who participated. Id recommend this class to anyone who is considering carrying a weapon. By far it was a memorable experience.

I just completed this LTC class/training. Here are a few key points:1. Clean relaxed environment2. Detailed information- definitely came away from the training understanding law more clearly3. Patient and competent instructor- I watched Damon patiently work with a diverse classroom (age, gender and background); managing to answer all questions in detail while getting everyone involved.4. I didnt need the range, but decided to attend with my new weapon.- I am a certified Safety Officer in the U.S. Army. Range safety standards were present and instructions were clear.- All participants, no matter their level of experience, understood and seemed comfortable while performing at the range.5. The training time (0900-1600) seemed to go by pretty quickly.

Hands down best class to take in central Texas! Very affordable only cost me $65.00. Damon was very good instructor and overall good person along with his kids and wife that helped him with the class. I was very nervous about taking this class without any prior knowledge or skill with a gun. Not only did he get me and my bf in after we missed registration. The overall class was fun and great experience Mr Damon is very patient and knowledgeable. Started off nervous at the gun range portion but he is very patient and doesnt mind helping you out individually or reiterating things so that you get it and are successful. We had a great group of people in class yesterday thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend this class wish could rate higher than 5 stars.

The training provide by Mr. Cross is excellent. It is very detailed oriented, but yet easy to understand and is presented in fun learning environment. The classroom portion is an open discussion, question and answer forum. Mr. Cross educated us on current legislation to include local state and federal government laws that directly apply to us as licensed to carry citizens. He took the time to answer all of our questions, leaving no stone unturned. During, and leading up to our live fire, (at the range) safety was strongly infeciesed. I felt safe handling my weapon for the first time and being around others who where handling theirs for the first time. Mr. Cross is awesome. His class is very effective. He makes the subject matter makes sense for the real world and lets people talk and discuss without it being goofy and ridiculous. Wish I could take this class again. Definitely would recommend!

I was dreading taking the class quiet honestly, but Damon Cross was very informative and made it very interesting. Not only does Damon know his stuff he also interacts with the students and Is very friendly and helpful. I actually enjoyed the class.

Hands down great class and better than I expected! Damon is a wealth of knowledge and provides great ‘real-life’ examples we can relate to and how they apply when dissecting the laws. He also took time to make sure everyone was comfortable with the information but more importantly made sure people were comfortable with the firearm prior to stepping on the range. I’d recommend to anyone regardless of their knowledge/experience- I’d be willing to be they’ll enjoy it and learning something new!!

Took this class just a couple of days ago and I must say it was OUTSTANDING!! . It was well organized, very thorough in explaining the gun laws in a way you will truly understand and it wasnt overwhelming. Lunch was provided which was also awesome. Great experience.

Very very good experience I had in class, highly recommend that if you dont have an LTC you attend this class. The instructor is well educated on Texas law and regulations regarding hand gun safety as well the proper use and storage. A must to attend an outstanding class.
