My wife and I spoke with Erik Biorck today in Kingsport. We came in not really knowing anything about mattresses, but after talking with Erik we quickly learned there was an incredible amount of information that needed to be considered when making our decision. It was very beneficial to have someone who, after considering our age and sleep habits, made recommendations that could actually benefit my wife and I health wise. He allowed us to play Goldy Locks, this bed is too soft, this bed is too hard, this bed is just right. After we picked the one just right, Erik then explained how to lower and raise the bed to fit our particular needs. The whole experience was great and Erik seemed very knowledgeable of the products. Once having owned a Furniture Store and was a buyer for mattresses, I must say this was on of the best experiences I have had. I went to some larger chain stores, and even larger stores in the area, and was much happier once I walked into the door at Family Mattress Center. I had my young boys with me and the salesperson even had them lay on the mattress. I was purchasing for them. He was a pleasure to deal with and had the best prices around. I will recommend them to anyone and will be shopping here again!

Well I have to say the experience was very nice. I was headed to a different mattress location nearby and noticed the Family Mattress Center along the way. After visiting the other location and noticing how expensive they were I visited Family Mattress. Their prices were amazing and the salesperson was great! What I loved the most is that he didnt try to talk me into spending too much but got me what made me happy and was definately in my price range. On top of all this I sleep so good now. Erik Biorck was very helpful in describing the various mattress attributes compared to what we were looking for. We learned a lot about these various products. We went back two days later and purchased the product with the help of Todd Whitehead, also very informative and helpful. I cannot say enough about the courteous and knowledgable staff at the Kingsport store.

March 4, 2017. Agent told me my bed would be $499.00, no tax, no delivery charge and no charge to pick up the old mattress. I also purchased two queen size pillows at $75.00. The mattress was delivered and I gave them one pillow (unopened) to return to the store asking that they give me a $37.50 credit. Upon receiving my credit card bill, I saw where they had charged me $539.00, overcharging me either for the delivery charge or for pick up. Finally, my bill was corrected, thanks to VISA, and I received a $40.00 credit. The Mattress Place has yet to pick up my old mattress and box spring as promised. Would be nice to trust their word and rely on the handshake given. I would gladly reconsider rating if theyd pick up this mattress/box spring as promised.

We took a tremendous amount of time, not only to travel to, but to look around and test everything in the store. They sold us a mattress and box spring, only to be told that the only thing they had in stock was the box spring...theyd have to order the mattress, and they didnt know how long it would take. What, you cant tell us before you charge our card? The salesman seemed incredulous to the fact I wanted a refund back to my card. This place needs to go out of business, and quickly. The way to operate a business is to be honest, transparent and know your inventory...not sneak around like a bad used car sales2.

Connie & I visited SleepZone of Kingsport after visiting many competitors in the Tri-Cities Region. I will have to say after meeting with Todd Whitehead the Store Manager he made this visit my best and his non-pressure, very knowledgeable insight into educating me on making a good sound decision with such an important purchase I did not need to go back to any of the competitors I had visited with . I could tell Todd’s many years of being in this business, his making me feel he was not just to trying to sell me something to make a commission but his sincerity in wanting to make sure I made a purchase that was in my best interest led me to going ahead and doing business with his store that day. I would highly recommend any one in the market for a new mattress should make sure they make this the store for their purchase. The selection was good, but not so much that it was overwhelming.The salesman/owner explained the choices but did not pressure me in making a decision.He did not try to sale me “more” than I wanted.We had difficulty in getting the mattress I purchased delivered because of my schedule and the weather. The owner was most cooperative and pleasant in working these problems out.
