Had a very great experience there. A mix up in the computer but I believe here name was Kristin or Kristine (I hope she doesn’t hurt me after seeing this not remembering her name), She’s the manager, took great care of me and went above and beyond. The Dr. Was Top Notch and the rest of the staff were fun and very helpful. You can tell they love their job, as that’s a rarity nowadays. Would definitely recommend this whole staff and office! 5 ⭐️’s
Everything is very organized, and the process was very simple. The employees were extremely helpful and made sure to run all numbers and give me every option possible. Amazing service, amazing quality, great every time!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always go above and beyond to help me and my family with our optical needs and wants. Amazing frames selection year after year
Love the optical place in Target. The staff is great & so is the eye doctor. I would definitely make them my permanent place for my eyeglass needs
The people who work here are so patient and very helpful. The selection of eye wear is good too. Sometimes they are behind because they help walk in customers as well as appointments, but Ive just shopped while I waited and it wasnt a big deal.
Great frame selections. The Opticians were very knowledgeable and helpful. Dr Devine was thorough during the exam. Will come back yearly
My appointment was at 11:30, I was on time and waited in the lobby area waiting for one of the two ladies to get free from the customer they were speaking with. By 11:40 one of the ladies addresses me and gives me paperwork. Then the Dr. walks by us and says “when am I supposed to eat lunch? Guess I’ll take lunch now and see her after”. Excuse me? I canceled and walked out. What a lazy and rude doctor. I have seen him multiple times before and the exam takes 15 min tops! LAZY AND RUDE
Doctor Devine is professional and friendly. Im always able to get in to see him when needed without having to book my appointment a month out. Its one of the reasons I switched to him. The staff there is wonderful!!! Christine has always helped me choose my frames and stears me in the right direction. Its kind of hard to choose frames, when without a lense I cant see. All the staff is friendly and helpful. I switched to Target Optical a few years ago, I stay with them because they are definitely one of the best.
Wonderful experience! Staff and doc were super friendly and knowledgeable!
My husband and I have been getting our glasses here for several years. We appreciate the staff, selection of frames, and the prices.
The manager and staff have been endlessly patient and kind with my extremely sensitive and critical nature. They have been both sympathetic and empathetic to my discomfort and pain from the frames and worked with me to find a positive resolution. Prior to my actual purchase and replacement, they did not complain as I tried on dozens upon dozens of frames, multiple times, trying to find the right one, despite making an incorrect choice based on trendy fashion and aesthetics, instead of form and function for my hyper sensitive ears.
Tammy & other associates were friendly and helpful!
I just signed in and waited on the bench for an hour to buy glasses. I know because of Covid that there are a limited amount of people allowed in the store at one time. Finally I got up and asked could I come in because I was tired, hungry and obviously being ignored. Well, evidently the list does not get checked and he is by himself. I walked in and walked out. Nope. Going to give my money to people who dont want my business. Why have the eye center roped off and a sign in sheet if you are NOT going to check it? Ridiculous. I have shopped at this location for years but you all just lost my business.
The best place I have been to. Dr Devine and everyone else are very nice and professional. Ive been here 2 years now and they took good care of a scratch on my eye.
Very nice staff.Dr.is nice and will answer your questions if you have them.
I went in because I have something in my eye and I had a scratch from a year ago from my dog. I told the doctor when I got there he looks at my eye with a flashlight for one second and then he said oh I know what the problem is, since I cant see it I guess he meant the scratch, he told me he would give me a prescription for a solution. And at the same time he said it wasnt a prescription so I was really confused.. big red flag after he pulled the light out of my eye for one second I told him that there is something in my eye not just a scratch but something else was bothering me and I said I would pay the difference for vision test but he said he didnt have time today which is fine but still charged me $50 to shine a light in my eye for literally one second and not even check for debris and write me a fake prescription for something I was told by the pharmacy is an over the counter. Such a waste of my time and money Ill take it up with my bank.
Cancelled my appointment after I got there without calling.
I was just at this location and waited my turn to be assisted. The lady that works there was very rude. She didnt even look up to see me just ask what I needed. When I ask a question she didnt even bother to look at me during this time just said no we dont do that. I dont know what had her attention but it sure wasnt the customer. I did business here but no longer. Will find a professional service.
After waiting to be seen, was told would have to reschedule. It was four minutes after! Four minutes, I mean I waited at least that long for them to acknowledge me. Was already in the system, and have waited on them several times up to 30 minutes before. Wasted my valuable time, that I took off early from work. Staff was smug about it. I mean what does one expect? Optometry in a Target, and thats the type of power tripping poor service you will receive. Pulling my family and letting everyone I know to go somewhere else. Store has been remodeled... Lipstick on a pig.
Dr. Devine was professional and quick. Stephanie checked me in/out and was very personable. Would recommend to anyone and am shocked by the negative reviews on here. Was a very pleasant experience for me.
After finding myself in a bit of a bind while visiting from out of state, I stopped by and spoke with Greg. While he was willing to assist me but unable to (due to not fault of his own), he went out of his way to find someone who could, so I could get myself and my kids home safely. I am so appreciative of his kindness, professionalism and effort!
They got the prescription wrong the first time. Retested my eyes and replaced the lenses. Instead of using the premium Ray-ban lenses I purchased, they replaced them with knock-offs.
Christine Porrras, who is the Team Lead and a Licensed Optician, provided superior service by using her immense amount of knowledge about how to fit glasses and have the lab redo my progressive lenses so that I was able to better use the bifocal part of the glasses. Even though I had bought them in the city I previously lived in, she treated me as though I had bought them from the Farragut, TN store. I am 63 and have been wearing glasses for years. She is the best Optician I have ever worked with! She was attentive, caring and knew how to resolve my problem.
I have been going to this store for several years - the people are so nice and helpful and Dr. Devine is great! Highly recommend.
The people that work here are so nice and professional, and the eye doctor, Dr. Devine, is always friendly and direct. Ive never had a negative experience here. Even when the place is packed, the workers always remain calm, friendly, and efficient. Im so relieved to have found a place for eye exams that isnt a nightmare every time!
Awful experience. Have made several calls about getting my prescription email, faxed, etc. to me for weeks. Nothing gets done. 4 phone calls in one day, and I still do not have my prescription. Been told multiple times the doctor will send it in between patients however 5 hours later, and still NO prescription. If you want a professional experience, do not waste your money and go here. Gary is not helpful, and he will tell you the same thing every time and nothing gets done. Unproductive.
Office is too small, understaffed, and I wont go again. I scheduled a second appointment on line and after I arrived on time and Sat for 20 mins waiting, I was informed they did have me on the schedule. There were several others waiting to be seen, so I left and will find another optometrist to go to.
Making a return here took two trips and an email from Target HQ. Staff initially told me return was impossible for policy reasons. I came back a week later with an email contradicting her. She relented. Apparently she hadnt known how to take the return so she had simply told me it was impossible. Not impressed.
Just left this office where I was running slightly late for my appointment. About 2-3 mins late. Walked to the exterior door and it was locked, waited no one came to the optical office entrance. So I began my decent into target to through the store. Once arriving I waited to be helped about 2-3 mins, as they were busy. Now I’m about 7 mins past my scheduled appointment. I told her I was there for my appointment and she sent me away stating that I would have to reschedule. Really?!? I’ve been waiting here on you!! Granted I was a couple ministers late due to Turkey Creek traffic and couldn’t get into your office through the office door!! I won’t be rescheduling with them.
I had a terrible experience here... I called to schedule an appointment last week. I gave them my address and phone number to update in the system. My appointment was at 6 pm. I drove from Andersonville, TN and arrived a few minutes early. I was told by the worker that they tried to call me to inform me about some insurance changes. She explained that since she called and I didn’t answer that my appointment was canceled. She showed me the number they called and it wasn’t even mine. Not even close..She said the doctor couldn’t see me and that I needed to reschedule. I just think this was not a professional setting and that they do not have things organized. I was highly irritated and will not go back. That’s my rant for the day. If I could give a zero star I would.
The prices are reasonable and the desk staff was friendly and helpful. However, Dr. Devine provided one of the worst patient care experiences I have ever had. And for context, I have been a clinical care provider and educator for 9 years. If he had been a student of mine he would not have made it beyond a basic clinical skills assessment. His bedside manner is atrocious, he is a terrible historian, his lack of attention to detail is unprofessional, and the combination of these factors has a notable effect on his assessment ability. Ultimately, I visited Target Optometry due to being new to the area and attempting to take advantage of my current insurance before it changed at the end of the year and on the recommendation of people who have used it in other cities. I would not recommend this location. Take the time to look around for better options, I wish I had.
Dr. Devine is terrible. I moved to Knoxville recently and needed to get my eyes checked because I was due for a check-up. I was not aware that there is a contact lens fitting fee of $40 nor was I told there would be one. Some insurances cover it and some dont. I was not made aware that mine did not cover the fee. The doctor did not take much time with me--we spent maybe 13 minutes tops. When he looked in my eyes he noticed that there was an eyelash growing inward toward my left eye and said that he would pluck it but would have to charge me a fee -- something my previous doctor never would have charged for. He gave me astigmatism-specific contact lenses to try for a week and told me to call. I was hoping to have my prescription in hand when I left the office but it seems like the doctor had some doubts about the prescription and didnt want me to have it. On the second day the lens for my left eye caused strain and a ring of blood formed around my iris. I immeiately took it out and called the doctor the next day. They told me to come in for a follow-up visit at no cost. When I was taken back to the exam room the doctor said that he couldnt do anything for me because the contact he prescribed wasnt still in my eye. I was highly upset at this because I explained to him the intense pain it caused me yet for some reason he expected me to have left it in. The doctor said that it needed to align in a certain way for it to work; however, when I was in the office the first time and it supposedly aligned I still couldnt read words at a distance like I should have been able to. I told him that my old prescription worked better (even though it was slightly blurry) and it did not cause my eye to strain to the point of bleeding like the one he prescribed. Regardless of what I said he insisted that his prescription was correct. Even though I was not pleased nor did I think he knew what he was doing for my eyesight, I demanded that I have my prescription since I paid for it and was made to wait the last time. Ultimately, if you care about your health, your money, and your time dont go to Dr. Devine. He doesnt know how to prescribe the correct lens for your problem and isnt willing to correct anything that hurts or is bothering you.
Great Doctor and Great staff. Greg has went above the bar with assisting my needs.
Wonderful helpful service!
I have been a customer here for many years, it was very disappointing to jump through hoops and treated as if I do not matter in a recent situation.
Ok
