Thress has been a favorite of mine for years! I always find what Im looking for when it comes to large shrubs, trees, perennials, and annuals. If you have not visited Thress I highly suggest you take the trip. You wont be disappointed!

I often find myself in amazement of the plants. I myself grew up with my great aunt who had a greenhouse. Every time I would go for a visit that is where I spent my time. It brings back memories of a better time. I hope that you are still doing the reward program.

Friendly staff and environment. Selection is pretty decent, but quantity is small due to their space (indoor plants). However, their prices have been better than any other nursery I have found in town.

I bought another blight-resistant dogwood last week, and was reminded of why I have purchased my plants from Thress Nursery for 25+ years. The plants are of excellent quality, they have a good selection of varieties suitable for this area, and the service is outstanding, from help with selection to securing the purchase for safe travel in your vehicle. The prices are perceived as higher than say the big-box home improvement stores, but you get more, much more. Most of all, I have found the ownership team to be honest and stand behind their plant sales.There may be other good nurseries, but it is unlikely there is any better than Thress in this area. This is a fantastic nursery with a unique selection of both indoor and outdoor plants. The operators are as friendly as you would expect in Knoxville. I will certainly be coming back in the near future for some of their bags of soil which they make themselves. They also have gravel and top soil available by the truckload if you happen to have a pickup.

We found this nursery on Google and we are so glad that we did. The staff are all so pleasant and beyond helpful. The selection and prices are excellent as well. There are nurseries that are closer to us, but we will be coming back here and we strongly recommend this nursery to others!!

They have very reasonably priced compost mix and were able to deliver 15 scoops to my house. The people are super friendly and I cant wait to see what plants they have in the spring.UPDATE: our garden THRIVED

High praise for Thress Nursery Gardens! We purchased a Serpentine Blue Atlas Cedar and two Purple Pixies from Thress. They came the very next day to deliver and plant them for us. Tim carefully removed our dead tree and hostas and replaced them with our new purchases. He worked very hard, was kind, offered suggestions, and took great care of our property. We highly recommend Thress.

Very good experience tons of healthy plants to look at. A lot of rare house plants that are somewhat hard to find in town. Will definitely be back!

Dont waste your time. Just go to a real landscape supplier like Site One or Hines Fine Soils. If it sprinkles a little rain Thress wont sell soil or anything. Theyll say its too wet but the real places dont have a problem. Now, if youre looking for a cast iron skillet that costs $159.99, or a cute little T-shirt to wear while you get your nails done, get yourself on down to Thress. Theyll hook you right up.

I like to buy plants and flowers and vegetables from people who love them as much as I do and this is the place their prices are very fair especially considering the quality products that they offer very healthy plants! I will never buy a plant at a big box store again

I love this place! They have the best tree and shrub selection in town but why stop there? I love all of their annuals and perennials also. Dont forget the gifts. Its my go to spot for any special occasion for my garden loving friends.

I called the nursery and spoke to Michael and told him what I was looking for. He reserved a beautiful baby blue spruce for me to pick up the next day. Michael was very helpful and the tree was perfect! I went to The Cabin across the street and Debbie and Eileen were also awesome and I just wanted to buy everything I saw in The Cabin! LOVE this place and will definitely go back :)

I was looking for a vine to climb on the wrought iron railing in front of my house. I was served by Eileen and she was very knowledgeable about the plant selection available at Thress. She helped me select plants that would do well in the afternoon sun. The staff in the cabin are always friendly and helpful.

Came here for a fresh start on Spring flowers. Ive never really had any success long-term with plants around my house.After meeting Eileen she not only pointed me in the right direction but literally help me build a plan for everything I would need to know and do as well as sell me the right plants for the right areas around my home based on what part of my house gets the right amount of sun.I cant say enough about this wonderful lady and I would highly recommend anybody to go in and ask for Eileen specifically. She is a well of knowledge!!

This long time nursery has an extremely large selection of plants- perennials, annuals, gravel, rocks, and mulch of differing colors. Their prices are on the extreme high end. The design staff is talented, however, they do not seem to listen to what the customer wants.

I went to the smaller flower shop to pick something out for my wife, the gentleman that worked there was very helpful. However, when I went to ask an older woman with short blonde hair a question she seemed to not know much and didnt seem to be doing anything other than touching flowers. My friends that go in there frequently say the same thing as well. Otherwise its a nice little shop. Just look for the man that works there, hes very good.

I have bought several plants and rock and sand from the front store with no issues and great service. Went to Tress Nursery today to purchase 2 Sioux Crepe Myrtle trees and picked out 2 trees The young guy that was helping us took the price tag that was in the pot with the trees that we pick out and the lady at the desk said that those trees were not $69.00 as marked on the sign because they were transplanted from 7 gallon pots to 10 gallon pot so they are now $129.00. She offered NO.......other option NO...... discount or anything. Other than the fact that the only reason that the sign was not changed so that they would know what type of Crepe Myrtle tree that it was. We planned on buying these trees for a while and was excited to get our trees.“ I am.... Very disappointed in this place and have absolutely no intention of ever returning.”I was in the tree area that the manager took me too previously And was with a sales person looking for trees at the time of this event!

I visited The Cabin on Saturday to purchase marigolds for my yard again this year - almost 100 to be exact. Eileen went above and beyond good customer service in order to accommodate me with the number of flowers that I needed. #satisfiedcustomeragain

Thress nursery has a wonderful selection of plants .flowers and trees. Many unusual plants also. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Locally owned and a staple in our neighborhood. Oh and not to mention the Local Honey they carry along with msnys gift items too!! Shop Thress!!

Dont buy trees from Thresss if you want them to deliver. We brought two large trees. First, we had to wait, not knowing when they were going to deliver them. We finally had to call them, twice. Then they delivered that Friday morning which they didnt call us to let us know they were coming. The young guys just put the two trees next to our driveway. We had nothing to move the trees to the spot they needed to go. We paid $112 for them to deliver two big trees 15 miles and they had no equipment to take the trees to the spot in our yard. They say they just put them in the driveway and nothing else. We had a very hard time trying to move the trees ourselves. We will go to Thress again.

The younger boys Jacob and Tyler are the best workers there. The older ladies were super unhelpful. One was complaining all the time couldn’t help me lift anything or find anything.

Ive used Thress Nursery for design and landscaping for the past 12 years. They always do an exceptional job and I truly appreciate their knowledge and design.

The Cabin helped me find a plant Ive been searching everywhere for. Eileen was very helpful.

The top soil I bought is the worse. If I could I would have taken it back.

Overpriced. But have good plant variety. But you could go somewhere else and get the same thing and pay a lot less!
