Awesome experience !!! Found a great bike on the sale floor, James spent almost an hour w me and share lots of knowledge w me. And was never pushy about selling the bike. Really down to earth guys, I went back the next day and bought the bike. Price was MORE than fair, and the service was exactly what you wish for at a bike shop. I will be a loyal customer for as long as I am in Knoxville.

I strongly recommend this store for anyone interested in buying a bike, having it serviced, and gaining a lot of knowledge about bicycling. As far as service goes, they go above and beyond to take care of their customers. They have group rides on Tuesday evenings and are a lot of fun. The store owner saw me looking in the store window after it had closed for the day, and asked me if I needed anything. He reopened the store to help me! You dont see customer service like that anymore!

Great environment, located conveniently close to the local bike trail, and great selection. Whether youre looking for some accessories, a tune-up, some snacks for the ride, or a new bike to ride, youre gonna find it here for a reasonable price and quality. They even have RX Bars (theyre soooo goood! Coffee Chocolate ftw) by the front counter.

After searching around town for a gravel bike I was able to find a great selection at BB&T. Jim helped me choose a bike and explained the differences between them all. Was very patient, not at all pushy or pressuring me to buy. Parking lot makes a great place to test-ride a bike. Walked out of the store happy with my purchase and experience.

We recently passed by bearden Bike and Trail while on a bike packing trip from Asheville to Nashville. We needed to stock up on tubes and have some of our bikes checked over due to some issues.We had an unbelievable experience at the shop - great service, a kind and welcoming atmosphere and genuine interest in what we were doing.Not sure if I’ll be passing through Knoxville anytime soon, but if I do I know just where to stop.

I bought a road bike from Bearden Bike & Trail last week and I couldnt be happier with my purchase! The owners were both incredibly knowledgeable and helped me buy the perfect bike for me. The bicycle was very reasonably priced and I have been enjoying it more than I would have expected! As someone unfamiliar with road bikes I truly appreciate Bearden Bike & Trail for getting me set up with such a great bike. They also had a great selection considering the demand for bikes this year.

I recently moved to Knoxville and after visiting several bike shops in the search of a new mountain bike, I believe I made the right decision. My Husband and I really enjoy going to bike and trail. The owner and staff are amazing and very friendly. As a gay couple sometimes going to a sport related business can be intimidating. Everyone at Bike and Trail were always professional and accommodating. This is where we will go always for any bike related things that we need.

My husband and me were needing assistance finding bikes that will last a while.Jim one of the openers helped me right away and didn’t push or make me feel rushed in buying anything. Although I know that the booking industry is flooded right now and bikes are on high demand!He let me ride around in the parking lot and near the greenway right behind the shop to get a feel for the bike.My hubby ended up getting his there too that same night. We are at the lake riding now and feel good about my purchase !The inventory even tho low was great and had what I needed They offer a wide variety or accessories and gadgets to customize/very knowledgeable about trails and riding I will look forward to seeing them again soon and highly recommend them

Randy welcomed us in and spent quite a bit of time discussing the different types of bikes they carried, and helping us find the models that would best suit our needs. He made a couple of adjustments before we took a test ride and had us head down the greenway to make sure we liked the models he suggested. Afterwards, he made sure our rack was mounted to the hitch properly and made sure everything was secure for the ride home. He and Jim gave us lots of advise for our rides, invited us to group rides, and made sure we knew about the maintenance schedule for keeping our new bikes tuned. Great service, and we’ll definitely going back for all our cycling needs.

Bearden Bike and Trail is by far the best bike store in our area. We bought our daughter her first road bike from there. Jim was very knowledgeable and helpful, answering all of our questions from proper sizing to different bike styles. I also would like to mention how I was immediately welcomed with a hello when I walked in the door. I have been to many bike shops down here and alot of them dont do that. We are already looking to buy more from Jim and Bearden Bike and Trail . Great customer service !!

Jim and Randy are great. Jim was able to help attach my dog trailer hitch to my bike and to reattach my wheel that came off when I attempted to put the hitch on as a courtesy. They are very knowledgeable and friendly and you will always get good bonus bike tips from them when you visit the store. Highly recommend.

My husband and I just moved to Knoxville from Ohio and I knew I wanted to purchase an ebike for the Greenway trails. We were immediately greeted by Jim when we walked in and he answered every single question we had about ebikes and let me do numerous test rides. He also threw in all kinds of free stuff and informed us of the 1 year of free tune-ups repairs. Such a friendly, great guy! He and his young helper even walked us out to our car. We went to another bike shop down the road beforehand and the service did not even compare. My mom went in the next week and bought the same ebike! Thanks Jim! Highly recommend this bike shop!

My wife was in need of a new bike and I wanted one that would fit her. Jim hooked her up and let her test ride 3 of them in the parking lot. He took the time to fit each bike to her height. I just want to give a huge shoutout to Bearden Bike and Trail. I went in looking to purchase my first bike as an adult and they were patient, kind and extremely knowledgable. I was hesitant to ride a bike as I had not done so in quite some time, but they had no hesitation in letting my hope on a bike. In fact they did not want to sell me anything until I had a chance to ride it and make sure it was going to work well for me. I walked out with a Marin San Rafael DS2 and I love it!

Bought my first MTB from Bike & Trail last Friday and these guys made it an especially pleasant experience. There was no sales pitch or pressure to buy, only a couple of cool dudes who get excited about bikes and want you to come away with a shared sense of excitement and enjoyment.Jim setup a couple of different bikes for me to ride after we narrowed down what I was looking for and what kind of budget I had.He then made all the appropriate adjustments for me to test ride, pointed me in the direction of the local green-way, and told me to go have fun and test it out.I cant emphasize enough what an enjoyable experience it was to visit Bike & Trail and purchase my first bike.If youre in the area and looking for a bike of any kind, these are the folks to go and see.Highly recommend!

Everyone was extremely helpful in guiding my husband into what to buy, & because his height and frame is larger than a standard person, we needed help on what would be best for his body type... and after testing out a couple different bicycles he ended up purchasing a super cool red Marin-San Rafael ! Went in to look at bikes, not a single employee or customer besides myself was wearing a mask. This is the second time Ive been where no one was wearing a mask. I left after 5 minutes of browsing.Its a shame, because I went there intending to support local. But I will not support local for a business that doesnt protect its employees or customers.

Broke a spoke on Saturday- called 4 bike shops TVB, Greenlees, fountain city peddler, dream bikes - no one could get me in. Rode home on a broken spoke. Just knew there would be no bike shops open on Sunday. I work 7a-7p Monday thru Thursday. Just knew I was going to be bikeless for the week until I could get it in on Friday. That evening While walking in my neighborhood, I ran into a bike riding neighbor who suggested I take it to Bearden bike and trail who happen to be open on Sundays. So I got up Sunday, loaded my bike up and took it to Bearden bike and trail. Not only were they open but I was also greeted by both owners who I believe could sense my hopelessness in getting my bike fixed today and not only told me that they could fix it today but while I wait. 30 minutes later I was back on my bike. With all this social distancing and isolation Going on in todays world my bicycle is my Prozac. I just wanna thank Jim and Randy and the young gentleman bike mechanic who quit what he was working on to fix my bike- THANKYOU. I now have a new bike shop I will be purchasing my bicycle supplies from as well as any bike maintenance in need.

Great local Bike shop. I worked with both Jim and Randy. Im fairly new to the sport and they both were very patient and answered all of my question. Jim took the time to help me pick out the bike we both thought would be best for me and my budget. NOT once did I feel like he was trying to push a sell on me. I had bought my bike August 11, 2018. 12 days later I am still loving my Fuji bike. I had to change out the seat to make it comfortable. Has good speed and shifting. Just wish they had more colors to choose from.Customer service was beyond excellent with Jim. He did not try to push unnecessary accessories- just offer accessories that will make the ride comfortable and safe. I took up about 3 1/2 hours of his time and he was ok with that because he wanted to be sure that I was comfortable, properly fitted for the bike, and satisfied with the right bike. Also, he did not judge me for being a 1st time rider. Jim was very informative and gave me some good tips- especially on how to shift properly, so I wont cross the chains. Also, he was very courteous and helped me load my bike to my bike rack.Mahalo Jim! 😁🌺

These guys are great about listening to your needs, riding style, and fitting you with the perfect bike. I just purchased a Rocky Mountain Instinct C50. If you can only purchase one mountain bike this is it. It climbs as good as my XC bike, is light and quick, and bombs down hills.

Bought an MTB there a couple of years ago. Was treated courteously and respectfully by the owner himself, who took extra time to swap out the saddle and grips I wanted. Have been in there many times, often to just check the latest products or get a tune-up. I have never experienced anything but professional behavior by all the employees, whether theyre serving me or someone else. I highly recommend them...and I have to several people.

Blown away! I went in to get a few parts and couldnt believe the individual attention and advice I received from John and William. These guys truly love what they are doing, and it shows. They took the time to teach me new things about my bike and better ways to maintain it. When it comes to bicycles, I will never deal with anyone else as long as Im in the Knoxville area.Edit: these two no longer work there. Still a good place, but definitely not as good as before

Theres a time machine in the back!! I took my dads old bike in for a tune-up (my new girlfriend wants to start riding the Greenway) and they told me it would take 2-3 days because they were waiting on parts. I get a call back 2 hours later, and its done! Try explaining that one with your science.all jokes aside, there are no idle hands at this workshop. dads old hack rides like new and I get to take my woman around town with some fresh neon green straight out of the 80s. thanks Randy!!

Cleaning up my wife’s bike and popped a tire. Took it in. They stopped everything. Fixed it. I was in and out in 5 minutes.

The owner helped us out with a flat tire on my daughters bike and got us back on the trail in no time. Would highly recommend. Well be back!

I called into them because I wanted to get a bike I bought on bikesdirect assembled and the guy told me it would be around 100, which is pretty expensive. When I went to pick the bike up they charged me $147. The bike was 90% assembled when I received it, so, I doubt it took them very long to put it together. I have since called around and found bike shops that will assemble bikes for less than half their price. I would look else where before going here.

I cant comment on the selection or price of the equipment and or services. All this review is based on is the five minuets I was in Bike and Trail, and it was enough time for the sales associate to greet me, than belittle me. As he asked me if he could help me with anything, I barely nudged a bike that was leaning against several other bikes that were locked. I was in the process of securing it back in its unsupported lean, when the associate grabbed it from me and in a pompous tone stated, Um, this is a $4000 bike... Its a reaaaallly expensive bike. That was it. I was planning on giving this man business, but obviously if you dont trust me to touch your really expensive bikes, than you dont respect my value as a legitimate customer. And here is a tip buddy, if you are worried about the plebs touching your $4000 bike than dont leave it precariously leaning against your locked up $500 bikes.

Very poor customer service!! Returned Enve wheel, which I bought there, due to a warranty issue. I stopped by after a month to be told, wheel just came back today, Enve said nothing wrong. I re-identified the damage and Randy said would resend with a better explanation. After being told several times no updates, I contacted Enve who stated no wheel/RA# from this shop. I then asked the bike shop for a RA# only to be told, found the wheel in the back, in the wrong box, never shipped. Over 2 months of waiting and nothing accomplished, now filing directly with Enve.
