So I got a text my glasses were in for pickup. I was near the mall so I ran in to grab my glasses and get on with my day. When I walked up to the store, there was a wait. There was an elderly couple, a lady, and a hipster looking guy. I stood and waited for approximately 15 minutes before writing this review. The couple waited about 10 minutes of the time I was here and then said, “forget it let’s go somewhere else.” They left. Then the hipster guy took their chair. He sat there for probably a good 5 minutes before anyone working in the store looked up and acknowledged him. They had his glasses ready. One of the employees waved him over and handed him his glasses out of the drawer. The lady and I stood and waited still. We are still waiting at the time of this writing. A nearly 25 minute wait just to pick up a pair of glasses and not need to speak to doctor or tech is ridiculous.

They were absolutely amazing with me and my five year old! Dr. Cassidy went above and beyond to make sure my prescription was right and to make sure contacts were comfortable. All the girls up front were so kind!

Considering I was late for my appointment, and all techs were with clients, as soon as someone became available they still took me. Very nice people, all of them!! It was my first eye exam, EVER!! And Im 51!! I was helped with my frame choices, told what was covered and what wasnt. Very delightful experience!! Definitely recommend EVERYONE TO GO SEE DR. TAVEL AND CREW!!

Nice clear, no pressure atmosphere. The staff were friendly and even got me in 20 min early. They allowed me too browse around at their great selection without trying too get me to buy the most expensive pair of glasses they sold. Overall I was very satisfied!

When I first arrived for my appointment it wasnt really what I thought it was going to be for an optometrist office. I was about 15 minutes early for my appointment and it was completely crowded where at every station one of the assistants was helping another customer. I had to wait a little longer than expected but after my name was called everything went in a pretty fast progression. I got my eyes checked, picked out frames, and scheduled everything to be picked up when ready at an affordable price! so to say that I was pleasantly surprised by an Optometrist office that was right inside the mall is an understatement! I would recommend Dr. Tavel to anyone needing an Optometrist.

Everyone I met was pleasant and very helpful. The doc took the time to explain things to me and made me feel comfortable. I really felt like everyone was there to help me get glasses.

The Dr here is fantastic, and very thorough. She’s also great at keeping the whole place moving along smoothly even though it was a busy time of the day and I had to be seen more than once, which was entirely my fault, I put one of my contacts in inside out. The staff was very thoughtful and attentive and listened to me when I explained why I needed new glasses even though my prescription hadn’t changed and I was there for contacts. And even though I had gotten my current pair of glasses from a competitor, they did what they could to make them work for me while I wait for my new contacts; and worked to get me the best deal in order to add a pair of glasses that better fit what I need.

Absolutely the best staff I have ever met. I actually very much enjoy our time spent there. The Optometrist Dawn has the best sense of humor and is some that keeps you laughing through the process. A++ crew.

Dr. Dawn is amazing. Really impressed by her knowledge and friendliness. As a fellow female healthcare provider, I can recommend her with utmost confidence.

I highly recommend this place. I havent experienced a more thorough physician than Dr Cassidy. She is absolutely wonderful. Very thorough, wonderful with patients and even staff interactions. I referred my own mom to her. I wont be going anywhere but her from now on. She even showed me ways to easily adjust to progressive lenses since these are my first pair.

Husband and I needed eye exams and also new glasses. The Doctor was very nice, and knew what she was doing. The staff very friendly and took time out to help me find glasses. We were treated very well. They do accept Davis vision.

The service was great, even with COVID restrictions. I had no wait time. The doctor was very friendly and gave a lot of information. I love the fact that my progressive lenses were not going to cost too much and that both the Dr. and the staff went over the proper way to use them. I am on the Healthy Indiana Plan and the selection of frames covered by HIP was very good. I walked out with an order for glasses, the exam, progressive, ad transition lenses for just a little over $100 out of pocket. This is definitely my optometrist from now on!!!!

Dr. Cassady is always a wealth of knowledge when it comes to your eyes. She always points out when coupons are available. She is a genuinely caring provider.

The entire staff was very friendly and professional. They were very helpful in assisting me in the exam, picking out of glasses as well as answering any and all questions that I had. They were having computer problems when I was there, however, that did not stop them from doing their jobs. Hats off to the entire staff there in Kokomo, IN. I would recommend them to anyone that needed that type of care.

I went there for well check and prescription for glasses. The staff is nice and work quick. At the end I had to ask to get the prescription, which is without pupil distance for glasses. I was assuming to shop for prices online and at other stores. To get this they asked me to pay additionally $15. I am very disappointed from this company.

I’ve been to Dr Tavel before and always had great and fast service. This time was by far even better!!! The Medicaid approved hardware selection is nearly an entire display case!!! That’s 100+ options, a lot of options when compared to other companies that only offer 57-75-90. The staff was a great group of people who listened and were patient. My glasses came in just in the knick of time! Walked in, made sure no adjustments were needed, left!!! That’s easy. I’ll recommend folk go to Dr Tavel anytime I hear someone talking about getting eye exams, new glasses or needing contacts. Great prices, they accept many insurance companies and the staff are kind. Plus! Who doesn’t like walking a mall after getting their new glasses?! A great way to adjust if the prescriptions have changed. 😁

I was amazed at the low cost on the glasses I purchased for my granddaughter! This day in age with kids and they are growing so fast it’s a relief to know we have a place to go to to buy her glasses at a very affordable rate!! Katie is always great as are the other girls! Weve never had such a more thorough eye Dr ever. The lab made an error when producing my husbands most recent lens and made them transitional rather than not and Katie was very helpful and is going to get it all taken of and letting him keep his current lenses until the correct ones come in, which should only be a couple days!

First visit was absolutely the best. We were very pleased. We came from an eye Dr that had messed up my contacts and my sons glasses and they fixed us right up, by correcting the mistakes from the previous eye Dr. Would highly recommend them at Dr. Tavels.

I didn’t buy my glasses here, but was in the mall and had a question about how my glasses weren’t fitting right. The staff here is courteous and professional. They adjusted my glasses and now I have perfectly fitting glasses. Too bad they aren’t allowed to accept tips.

Everyone I interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a variety of frames and lens choices. Dr. Cassidy listened to me when I explained some visual problems Ive experienced since my last visit, and diagnosed the problem perfectly. For the first time since I was 40 (Im 58 now), I can read well with my bifocals and at a distance. Before this new pair, I had to take my glasses off to read or do close up work and put them back on to see at a distance. I used to think of Dr. Travel as a choice for eyewear, but now they are my choice for eye health.

Dr. Dawn Cassidy is AWESOME, she found some problems that other optometrists never mentioned, then made corrective arrangements with Indiana Eye Institute and home care, followed up with after care. She really gets involved to get results. I thank her, Tavell staff and all involved.

As a family, we have trusted Dr. Tavel with all of our eye exams, glasses and contacts for close to 20 years. Our eyewear is ready for pick up when promised, and they are always ready to do any repairs or adjustments as needed.

One star is being super generous. This place finds every way to get your money. They will keep making you pay for exams that you were told werent needed. They will schedule you to come back then last minute tack on more fees. They will tell you one price then turn around and say they never said that was what it was going to be. I would absolutely NOT recommend this place. They accept medicade and only care about money. They do not care about their patients at all. The worse treatment that I have ever had in my life.. The front staff was always super rude every time I was in there.
