I get so excited when trying new Mexican restaurants, and this one definitely did not disappoint. The mole sauce was so delicious and everything tasted good. We will be back for sure.

Great food doesn’t even begin to describe how good it is. Truly authentic and the service was beyond amazing. Food portions are so worth their prices and very filling. A must try if you want great food and service not to mention filling portions for great prices.

Killer place with great food! I had Canada steak burrito, chicken taco mexican style and 2 tamales excellent. And to top it off its a mexican store with just about anything you could want even a butcher shop.😋😎🤙

Great little store.Tons on authentic options to choose from.In some cases meats and produce here are more affordable than other grocery chains in the area.Its a one stop shop in a lot of peoples cases.The restaurant is cool too we plan to dine here at some point.

Authentic grocery store that carries staples of Mexican cuisine, store clerks are courteous and helpful. Store has from dried foods to meat market and dairy. Also has a small restaurant for a quick lunch stop with a traditional Mexican menu. I am only giving four stars because they were out of some items and because the food flavor was good but not as good as I expected.

This place is a LEGIT bodega/taqueria in the heart of Kokomo. My wife and I were passing through and found this place on Google. Very happy we did. Authentic Mexican food in a seemingly unlikely place. Great find.

Such a great store! I love having it close to my apartment complex so I can get some last minute groceries or food. Their tacos are amazing and their fruit infused water is delicious as well. The only complaint would be that the staff isn’t too welcoming, but it might just be me. Will always continue to come!

They actually care about the way their food tastes. In particular, they do chicken here very well. Great Mexican Food

Was not blown away. It was just ok.

I really like this little hole in the wall place known as El Borrego. Ive only been there a few times, but every visit has been great. The people who work there are so friendly and helpful, and the service is fast. I think Ive tried a different meal each time and each one was delicious. I like the atmosphere, with the little grocery in the front and cozy booths for the restaurant in the back. My wife isnt fond of their salsa (even the mild is too spicy for her and she doesnt like the consistency, but I like it).

They tell me 10 minutes and it is always at least 30 minutes, for just a couple of tacos. Every. Time. The food is great but the punctuality is less than horrible.

Took a little long to get the food, but it was good. Only thing is I asked for mild chili powder on my corn and got spicy so I couldnt really eat it.

Anybody who knows good Mexican food knows sometimes the best places are the little hole-in-the-wall joints, or barring that, the ones that double as a grocery store. This place is the latter, and hands down the best, most authentic Mexican food Ive had since I left Chicago. My only complaint is that instead of the Mexican Coke in glass bottles (with cane sugar), they have domestically bottled Coke in plastic (with corn syrup).

Just ate lunch there. First time eating there. This is a more traditional restaurant with less cookie cutter menu items and more authentic food choices. It was like eating in downtown Mexico City. Good friendly service and pleasant atmospher . The store was also pleasant with good price . Highly recommend

For a while this is my favorite Mexican place to go to. Last three times I was overcharged once, and it was for a daily special! this has happened multiple times (2xs) when asked to correct first time a man haggled me over the price even told me signage was wrong. the last time wouldnt even give me my sales tax for the refund tamales were old tasted horrible so much corn meal . and the chicken was brown there was hair on the corn husk. they go from the cash register handling with money to handling your food then mopping with out washing hands. i will not return older gentleman is rude and heavy set waitress is a something to deal with. just asking for asking for silverware to eat with i guess was too much to ask for. bring your own drink !! they will bring u one drink and never check on you again till its time for a bill.! i stopped tipping & I WILL NOT return. i tip ofd the bases of food and service and neither was exceptional the only reason ill give two stars they have okay salsa. oh chicken tacos i had once didnt eat were hard and crunchy ! not the shell the chicken . avocado brown not saying it wasnt okay to eat but wasnt appealing.

The Food was very good. It was very hot in the resteraunt. We were greeted with a large jar of salsa, but we were disappointed that they evidently do not serve chips. So what was the purpose of the large salsa as we sat down? We were also never asked if we wanted our waters refilled either. Even though food was good we probably would not return as it was just too hot & we like having salsa & chips when we choose to eat mexican.

What a great little gem in downtown Kokomo. Whether you want to get all the ingredients for authentic Mexican cuisine to pre made ready to cook Fajitas...This is your place! If you want to just eat in there is a full restaurant as well. We got a couple pounds of the pre mixed chicken Fajitas and they were great! Prices are really reasonable and we will be stopping here at least once a week for groceries. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We were greeted with a handshake from the manager as soon as we entered. They made us feel at home! Support your local small business owners that help take care of us!

I could have done e stars and five:Pros:The menudo (only weekends) was among the best tasting I have had at a restaurant (yes, my Mom makes the best.) While they do use rumen (I think this is the type) instead of reticulum (honeycomb,) it was very tender.The barbacoa, perfect for me. Most would be swimming in grease, what I had was perfectly moist and very tasty.The tamal I as prompted to buy, was a safe version to cater to a broader audience, not spicy. See cons.Cons:Sloppy to go service. They forgot to give me salsa which is a sin with barbacoa tacos or any tacos for that matter. Thry also did not include silverware- a to-go sin.Off-peak quality suffered. While I understand I went during the slowest part of the day and near closing, I expect to get the same quality. The tamal was dry and without salsa.I will be back, but with a checklist if I am taking out.

A very disappointing experiece. This is my second time trying and this time being a second chance. The first visit I ordered a steak quesadilla and a steak taco. The steak was very dry and tasted like it was under a heat lamp all day and the quesadilla was so small it was the size of a taco. I decided to give them one more chance and spent nearly 70 dollars with them for dinner tonight. A hard lesson learned. Extremely disappointed. Ordered choriqueso and for 7dollars there was enough to dip chips in it about 8times if that. I also ordered alambre. Should have been an excellent dish. I paid 6.99 because i added shrimp to my steak dish and only received 3 pieces. The steak again was under a heat lamp all day. My tortillas for the dish were completely missing and not in my to go bag. The refried beans were very dry and old. The burrito i got for my kids was big enough to split between 2 kids but portion size was the only plus. Husband had 6 tacos and a gordita. Gordita was very skimpy and not filled completely and taco meats were not seasoned at all. If you are looking for an authentic taco shop that taste worse than taco bell this is the place for you. Def not returning.
