First time i brought my truck there i left Happy last time i brought it there it was the worst experience i ever had in any Shop, had my Truck there a Week was a One day Job, they had the Tow Guy pick it up no damage to my truck when it left my Storage, well me being Diabetic with Bad Legs walking around for a Week was so bad i finally took a Bus to Atlas Transmission only to find out it was ready for 5 days & the i see my Truck was Damaged, i told them while i was still there, there response i would not worry about it & have done nothing to fix it & never called me back about it, & the Granny From Beverly HillBilly Looking women there makes excuses every time i call there, she is the worst front Desk help i ever seen, must be Someones Great Great Grandma there & how do you do business like this telling a Customer you already told me to relay the Message, well if they bother to call me i would not have to call them again ..My Lawyer will be serving them Papers sad i have to take them to Court over this & I Will have to make complaints to BBB theres video of my Truck before being Towed & i took Pictures of Damage before i left Atlas Transmission & i Told Granny 3 times to have Jeff the Owner or Xavier the Manager there to call me, they never did . i know Accidents happen but it is how you Handle things that defines how you Treat the Person & the Accident ..in the End it will Cost them more then taking care of this issue .. i mean isnt this why Businesses have Insurance for Accidents i mean it should Cost at Most 250.00, is this the Going rate to Lose a Customer who in return Tells as many People i can about this .. Just Imagine this Happening to you, would you be OK With it .. Ignoring it will not make it go away, SAD I Trusted them with my Truck ..

I spoke with Xavier on the phone. He told me to come on in and he would check it out free of charge. I explained to him what another mechanic advised us to do. He told us that it would be a waste of money. I have the upmost respect for someone/a company to be honest and up front, he could have easily charged me the money for it but instead he helped. It shows he isn’t just doing a job he’s passionate. I absolutely recommend them!

Awesome service went in thinking I needed a transmission rebuild but after they checked it just needed a few things. Cost me much less than expected and super happy with the work and time frame. I highly recommend this shop!

In reference to Mr. Golds Chevrolet 3500 step van I enclosed the pictures of the burnt up fully melted computer and valve body in the pan of the transmission. I also enclosed pictures of the front driveshaft yoke that caused the bulk of the problem.We did this job 8-717 and it came back approxiamately 2 months later with 5339 miles put on the truck in that period of time. The front universal joint in the driveshaft went bad and it pulled the rear seal and bushing out of the tailhousing of the transmission which would cause a severe leak. Based on how the computer is burnt up like its been in a fire it appears the truck was driven as it leaked all the fluid out and driven until it wouldnt go anymore.Mr. Gold sent an aviation mechanic friend of his to look at it and he called Mr. Gold and told him this was not parts failure but driver neglect.We feel very bad about this but this was not our problem .Mr. Gold stated that his commercial vehicle maintenance was basically limited to a quick oil change.We offered to replace all his damaged parts which would include a new Remanufactured transmission, new Radiator and coolant, Driveshaft repairs Reprogramming and towing to the programmer. Our dead cost on materials $3022.33 and we would provide all the labor for everything free of charge.Mr. Gold refused everything we suggested and insisted we fix it under warranty and the truth is the parts manufacturers are not gonna replace anything under warranty.As far as holding his truck hostage he told us he was stopping payment on his Visa and thats why we wanted cash when he picked up the vehicle. At this point to try and settle this problem we will agree to split the parts cost of $3022.33 so he would have to pay$1511.17 plus state sales tax and hopefully we can resolve this problem. William Empke III President Atlas Transmission Inc.Mr. Gold and Atlas Transmission agreed to resolve the problem and fix the truck as per our suggestion of splitting the cost of parts. I had a transmission problem and took to the dealer who wanted double what atlas wanted. I called and spoke with Jim who was amazing and sent a tow truck to get my truck at the dealer and the gentle man was there in 20 min to pick it up. I had my truck back in 48 hours and its better than new!!! I will send everyone I know to you guys. Thank you for all you do!

Their word does not mean anything - they literally up the prices at will with no regard to what was quoted. The guys at atlas do great work have been going to them for years and referred many friends to them. Had a different company rebuild the transmission in my truck only to go out a year later. Had atlas do the second rebuild and the truck shifts even better than the day I bought it. I highly recommend them to anyone having transmission issues

Top notch work at a fair price with a warranty, What more can you ask for? My 2001 Mustang Cobra had a clutch installed and rear Ring and pinion. 90% of shops screw this up. My car runs factory fresh! Perfect job!

These guys are GREAT!! Ive had my Ranger repaired there twice over the last few years. The first time was a clutch and the second time I needed a rebuilt transmission. Both times the service was excellent, the price was very competitive with other shops and I never had any problems after the work was done. I highly recommend them for any transmission work! I was pleasantly surprised when I brought my truck in; they took it for a comprehensive test drive to determine what was wrong. They informed me about what they were going to do first, and what they found and it would be up to me to decide if I wanted to go further. I really liked the fact that they allowed me to make the decision as to what to do, they just gave me the options. Like I said earlier, I shopped around before making my decision. I chose Atlas because not only did they have the best price, but I know they have been in business for quite some time and they gave me a warranty for all work completed. Ive never had any problems with the repair work and never needed to use the warranty. I believe that every one will have a great experience at Atlas, as they really want to please their customers.

Had a gentleman named Juan (who has No Customer Service Skills/personality!)call several times veh was fixed, drove in and found no one on premise to take payment. (40 miles each way) Finally get vehicle back, drive home (now at 40 miles x3) getting ready for work next a.m., put in reverse, clunk and Nothing! Dead to rights! I am waiting to have it picked up Again from tow company, missing a day of work with 1 income family and will expect them to tow it back to me. Lets see....then Ill get Really honest.

I usually bring my car to a local tire / auto repair shop next to my business but when I heard that they wanted $660 for a repair (bushing over the rear differential was the diagnosis) I decided to try a local transmission shop for a second opinion. WOW, was I presently surprised! Raymond, the manager was straight forward and evaluated the vehicle for FREE with the same repair recommendation, saying that its around $500.Best of all, he got the part the very next day and had it completed by 1pm. The final bill was under $385 plus tax. Another great surprise, way below his initial estimate. Thanks Ray from Atlas Transmissions!

TWO different places, including my dealership, tried selling me a new transmission. I knew something wasnt adding up and didnt wanna get screwed out of my money being a single mom.... shops always try to up sell me because Im a young woman with a kid. NOT ATLAS. These guys fixed my car in the time frame promised for about a hundred bucks.. it was a simple fix. didnt screw me at all considering other places told me thousands. SO GRATEFUL.

They took forever & always placed blame on insurance company. Then after they received payment from insurance they did not refund my previous payment. They have all sorts of excluses. Beware.

Just had the transmission on my 1999 Honda Accord repaired here. The car runs like its brand new! Raymund was professional and courteous from the moment I stepped into the office to when I left with my car. Ray, Bill and their employees do good, honest work at a fair price. Will definitely recommend to my friends and return if anything happens to my car again!

Atlas - run by a professional team and they do what they say. Ray is straight up and honest business man. Assisted me with my 97 Lincoln - it was shifting rough - I thought it may be a major transmission issue. They road tested the car and discovered one engine mount was busted. That was all it was. They assisted in ordering the correct parts and scheduled me in for the following Friday. I took the car in and it was completed in a timely manner and best of all - I did not have anything wrong with the transmission! Not only did they diagnose the issue - it was not even a transmission issue and they helped me fix my car! Thank you Atlas - H. O.

Thank god I finally found a honest transmission shop!!! I had the best service Ive ever had, and Raymond the manager was so nice and took the time to explain in detail how a transmission works, I dont know anything about cars! THANK YOU to all the guys at Atlas that took such good care of me!! I took my van to two other transmission shops in town and they both told me I needed a rebuilt transmission. Stressed and confused, I asked my co-worker what does she think I should do and she recommend taking it to Atlas Transmission in Lake Worth to see what they had to say because she had used them before for transmission work and was very please with them. So I took it over to them and they told me they would check it for free and then let me know what I needed. An hour later I got a call back expecting bad new and to my surprise they told me I DONT need a rebuilt transmission and all I needed was new solenoids. They fixed my car for under $200 bucks!!!! I was so surprised, I couldnt believe it. I was so relieved because I really didnt have the money for a rebuilt transmission. On top of their honesty, they actually waited till 6:30 when they close at 6 because I couldnt get out of work. I am so thankful to Atlas for their great service and working with me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that wants to deal with great honest nice people. Being a single mother of 3, I didnt know how I was going to buy school supplies for them if I needed a transmission for my car but now my kids can have what they deserve thanks to Atlas. These guys are great. If you have any issues with your car then leave it in their hands. I brought my car there because I thought I was having transmission issues and they said leave it here and let us diagnose it. I said ok. A few days later I found out that there was nothing wrong with the transmission and it was an electrical problem with the engine which made it seem like the transmission was having issues. Long story short, they had an associate fix it for very cheap and now it runs like new. they are very honest and reputable business. Dont hesitate if you have any issues with your car to bring it there. Very nice and honest business. Not so common these days. A +from me. thanks Atlas!!!

They did a great job on my transmission!!! I have a 2011 Ford Transit with 195,000 miles on it. They rebuilt my trans in a short amount of time everything works perfect like when it was new.

A few years ago the transmission failed on our SUV and the guys at Atlas repaired it. About 40000 miles later the Check Engine Light appeared and I took it back to Atlas where they determined that the transmission again had an issue. My warranty had expired by this time, but to my surprise they agreed to fix it for free since it had only 40000 miles on the repaired transmission. I greatly appreciate the guys there and the owner for standing up.

Sketchy quote over the phone on a transmission that no one rebuilds and all are replaced. Basically telling me that they will take it apart for 2k and if they cant fix it, it will cost me 3500. I already know it cant be rebuilt.

Run do not walk away from atlas transmission. They charged me $4,000 for a rebuilt transmission that came with a 12 month warranty. Within 1 1/2 months the transmission fluid leaked out and the transmission was completely shot. I spent $400 towing the truck in only to find out that they refused to honor there warranty and now are even trying to hold my truck hostage and refusing to release it until I pay them cash as I used a credit card to pay for the work. I am now in the process of suing them. If you are even considering using them for any work do not do it!

As a woman Im always afraid of auto repair shops, but when my local dodge dealer told me that my 2005 caravan needed a new transmission I freaked out! So I called Raymond atlas and he said I should get a second opinion! He checked my van for free and sure enough it was just a $195.00 sensor repair!!! Thanks so much atlas, you have made me believe that are good mechanics out there!! By the way van still working good!!!

Atlas Transmission is a great company. My wife called Atlas at around 10 PM after we broke down and much to our surprise Javier answered the phone !!! We met Javier at Atlas to give him our key at around 11 PM. This kind of service is unheard of in todays Automotive repair market. These folks are wonderful, I cant say enough good about them.The very next morning Javier had our 2001 Honda Civic towed from the Walmart on 10th Ave No. to their business. AAA was telling us that they would take over 3 hours to get to us. My wife then dealt with Bob as the mechanics were analyzing our vehicle. We needed a complete rebuild of the transmission along with a new torque converter. I felt that the price quoted was very fair for a 3 day job. Our Honda Civic now runs and shifts flawlessly. This company is very trustworthy, they operate with integrity, honesty and do very high quality work. For this reason Gods blessing is on this company. Atlas was extremely thorough in evaluation of several symptoms of disfunctional operations.Chevy 4x4 leaks, slippage, and a couple of unknown issues .....fixed all and clean check up 2weeks later. When they already had easy access, they fixed a couple of things needing quick, easy fixes, just because. I Highly recommend Bill and his guys at Atlas Transmision!!

The information received by phone kept changing and changing. The guy who works the front Charles, is a liar and a master at conniving people. He told me I wouldnt need a new transmission. I gave him the error that was coming up for my car, he could fix it. I left him the car, next day he calls me telling me I need a new transmission. He talks a lot and sounds at first like he knows what hes talking about but then you catch him at all the lies. I drove my car home and started giving me problems, they now refuse to fix it saying it has engine problems, when while my car was there, he said OH I checked the entire car and everything looks great, The engine is in perfect condition, you will not be having trouble with this car for a long time. As I was driving home, I could see the car was acting up. So he is blaming it on the engine, that according to him the day before, he had inspected and was in incredible condition. Everything that comes out of Charles mouth is a LIE! Hes a bullshitter and just talks. They do not stand behind their word. He said anything goes wrong with the car bring it back, we will fix it.....turns out this morning, he said he has nothing to do with it. Do not agree with this people on ANYTHING. Do not leave your car in this shop. I dont even believe that the transmission he put on my car is almost new. I dont believe or trust these people. 30 years in business but for sure not honestly. I will never again bring them any of my cars.

Charles assisted me with my the problems with my truck. I find Charles to be very helpful and honest. My transmission would not shift out of 1st gear. After putting my truck on a diagnosis machine he stated that it was an electrical problem and not an internal transmission. He did not charge me for towing and he got me back on the road for $150.00. He could have sold me a $3000.00 transmission that I did not need, but he did not. Charles is a great guy, and I will always bring my vehicles to this Atlas whenever I have a transmission problem. I will also recommend Charles and Atlas to all of my friends and family whenever they have problems with their transmission. Sincerely, Eric

This place doesn’t even deserve a star. I decided to pull up to have an estimate for a transmission and was not greeted. Who I presumed was the owner, screaming to his clients, police even pulled up, it was a whole fiasco. This place is a joke, if you want you car to fall to pieces and have a poor customer service, then this is the place for you.

I had my Isuzu rodeo 4wd transmission rebuilt here for $1700. They messed up my power and wither drive buttons and misaligned a pin my gear shifter. The transmission continued to leak. Had to take it in for warranty service twice because the transmission continued to leak and they did not fix the problems with gear shift. The second time I took it in I was lead to believe my repairs would be covered under warranty. When I called to check on my status I was hung up on multiple times with no answers. I was not told that anything extra was wrong with my vehicle or if I would have to pay any extra. When I arrived to pick my vehicle up I was greeted with a $200 bill although my transmission was still hundreds of miles within warranty. They still did not fix the gear shift. The guy in the office threatened to damage my car if I did not pay him. I told him I would call the POLICE to settle the issue. He said I take the car and told me not to come back as if he had done me some big favor. That night the gear shift broke completely and I had to be rescued by the courteous professionals of J&S automotive. DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF BY ATLAS TRANSMISSIONS!!! SPEND YOUR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ELSEWHERE!!!

June 2017 i took my van here for a knocking. They said and confirmed it was a cracked fly wheel. 750 later it was fixed with oem parts so i was told. Fast forward to today less then 2 years later i was back for same noise. Took it to the shop this morning. Manager Bob had 2 guys look at it. I told them it was the same sound it made back in June. They said i was wrong. That it was a knock in the lower motor. Mind you i have had all the oil changed on a reg basis and my van only has 69000 miles on it. But they said i had lower end issues! I Left there and went to Harveys down the street. Chris the mech came out first thing he said without looking just listening was the flywheel was cracked. I said take it apart let me know. 2 hours later get the call, Broken flywheel. I said repair it. They called ford got an OEM part and fixed for 595.00, Found out the flywheel used was not a dealer part but a cheap after market made in mexico... Also my mom took her 04 Murano to atlas 2 years ago. She needed a new transmission. Atlas quoted her 2000.00 more then the dealer for the same thing. Avoid Atlas at all cost.... Follow-up, I have been going back and forth with the owner on facebook since I posted this. He has an answer for everything except admitting his previous manager screwed me over out of 750.00 cash. I went to wayne Akers Ford this afternoon. They confirmed it wasnt a Ford part. But was a aftermarket part. No Ford part numbers or Ford stamps. In fact no part numbers at all on it.

Rip off. They still charge you even when they can’t fix the issue.

So I previously had an issue and mis understanding with atlas transmission with mine and my boyfriends car. Unfortunately the transmission isn’t repairable or fixable and not worth much at that. Thanks to Javier and the owner of the shop the mis understanding was taken care of immediately after a week long wait and confusion. I have very much respect for Javier for calling and handling the situation as he did. Thanks guys so much and sorry for the mis understanding previously. Im glad everything worked out and I will be recommending you to anyone I know that has transmission problems later on down the line.

Got a transmission rebuilt there about three years ago. The transmission still slipped after they fixed it and charged me 2k. I was happy that Ray mentioned they had a lifetime warranty and felt comfortable having them fix the transmission. The transmission failed this week after about three years of light use. I went in to have them fix it under their lifetime warranty and was told by Ray, to my face, that he never told me that, so he called me a liar basically. That fat F%^k will tell you anything to do work on your car. I will never do business there ever again, do yourself a favor go see Vic or Als transmissions. This guy Ray is a Schyster with a capitol S.

Terrible experience. They constantly changed there story (and estimate). Charles, the main person is a nightmare to deal with. Repairs went from a few days to a week and then to two weeks. There excuse...they where busy. Even though they promised my car would be the top priority to get me to sign the work order. Avoid at all cost. Bill, the owner is not a man of his word at all. Once they get your money they will treat you with no respect and have a its not my problem attitude.

First i start by saying they tried bill and ray are good people but in my opinion they did not own up to anything they said i paid the 1800 to build my trans i got my car back in two weeks it started leaking they had the car a week got it back leaked that same night got it back the chain broke i tried to pay him, to fix that because it was my part i supplied but he didnt want my money after taking 3 weeks to fix it but when i got it back 3rd gear was not good slipping really bad i took it back he wanted 1500 to fix it now why would i give a shop another 1500 after all these issues? I would highly advise to not spend your money or time in this place overall i spend 1800 with them and got nothing and to add to this there were some performance parts in my transmission that are there anymore i cant say for sure but there are gone now.. And Bill/Ray When u read this i regret sending you customers i am in the process of filing a small claims court case against you thank you very muchAnd like the guy below this review my car was filthy after getting back each time smelled like trans fluid inside fingerprints under the hood grease everywhere when i called i was brushed off told this week and never came through on his word i asked for old bushing he said he was gonna show them to me but when i got there he didnt know what the trans builder did with them how convenient and then bill told me how much money he lost because it took them 4 hours to pull the trans and 10 to put back well thats funny i am no mechanic but i get it out in 3 and back in in 4 sounds like someone is milking the clock until i get a phone call from u i will be posting bad reviews all over the internet might even just stand on the sidewalk with a sign not a threat a promiseAnd i have more to add the torque converter company they use S Torque Is total garbage as well i sent the converter they built to precision industries the weld were not strait converter way out of balance just a total hack shop Do not go there they will screw u over

Best customer service and compassionate group of people and Im so blessed that my car got stuck in front of their shop they help me tremendously I am a single mother with three kids and just got out of gallbladder they did not only just fixed my car but also offered me a ride back home until my car got fixed and they had my car fixed within maybe two hours plus they didnt have to help me out because they usually work on transmission and my problem with my car was the axle im very grateful and thankful that my car broke down in front of their shop I highly recommend the shop.

I have a 2001 Ford Taurus. The engine light was on, and the car occassionally wouldnt shift from first to second. I brought the car to Atlas Transmissions. Ray put the car on a lift and couldnt find any leaks. He told me to bring the car back after I had resolved the issues which were causing the engine light to come on and then bring the car back. He did NOT seek to take advantage of me in any way. After resolving the issues (Tune up, new PCV, new upper and lower intake manifold gaskets), the car still would miss shifting from first to second. Awhile later, I noticed a transmission fluid stain on my driveway, Fearing the worst, and really unable to afford a transmission repair, I brought the car back to Atlas. Again Ray inspected the car. What he told me is modern transmissions have vents on them to vent the heat generated by the operation by the transmission. If the vent is dirty, the heat has nowhere to go, and when the fluid expands it will leak out the top of the dipstick, hence the stain on the driveway. They cleaned the vents on the transmission at NO COST and sent me on my way. This is now twice Ive been there and they didnt seek to grab me or take advantage of my transmission ignorance. Now if I actually DO have a transmission problem, Im DEFINITELY going back there. Theyve earned a customer for life.Paul Hauser

I brought in my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser in November 2013 to Atlas Transmission of Lake Worth, FL. My FJ had a loud whirring coming from the rear differential. I suspected carrier bearings. Turns out it was carrier and pinion bearings according to Atlas. The problem was fixed in the end, however getting there was a nightmare. Time estimate was 3-4 days depending on when they could get parts from Toyota. The differential was done on time, however they said they were waiting on brake parts from Toyota and had the axles over at a 4x4 shop having the brakes installed. WHAT? Apparently they had a hell of a time disassembling the rear brakes in order to pull the axle shafts, especially the e-brake. Well apparently they must have damaged a bunch of parts getting them off because they were waiting on Toyota break parts for weeks. Ive did these brakes myself two years prior and they werent easy, but a buddy and I did it in a few hours with no specialty tools without damaging any parts!I finally got my truck back 2.5 weeks after promised. When I got in my truck it smelled like an ashtray. They smoked in my truck during test drives- there were ashes all over my backseat. Also, one of my rear allow wheels was covered in grease (whatever, no big deal) but severely scratched. I baby my vehicle so this really bummed me out. When I asked what weight of gear oil was put in the differential, he stated 75-90. I stated that it takes straight 90 weight. He quickly changed his story and said that was what was put in, he did it himself. When I looked at the old parts I requested they keep (strangely no brake parts were kept) I noticed that one of the bearings had been CUT off with a cutting tool! You would think a transmission shop would have proper tools to pull bearings with. When I asked about this, he claimed to have no idea, and brushed me off. Whenever I called for updates I was spoken to like he had a lot of better things to do and that I was putting him out, especially when I started asking more detailed questions (because Im a novice wrencher myself)- he didnt like this. Im just praying the job lasts. Im going to be changing my differential fluid out with straight 90 weight tomorrow, knowing that I was lied to about whats in there now. Had I known what I was in for, I never would have brought my truck here.

Very nice at first, but once you agree on them fixing something they stick it to you. I paid 1900 for them to rebuild a transmission that i took out and they said at first that they will help me put it back but after three weeks of waiting they tried to vharge me 350 more just to put it in. I have a small manual transmission and they overcharged me to rebuilt it. I felt pressured and only agreed because i was afraid they would so domething to my transmission. By the way later i found out a rebuilt transmission from autozone is only 1200. That free inspection is only to get you in.

This is the worst place you could go. These b*****ds would take you money, give you a fake warranty, and after the shitty job they have done, would not accept the warranty they gave you. They rebuilt the transmission of my car, gave me an warranty(either a year or certain mileage) and 8000(!!!) miles later, the tranny died. Completely. I towed the car over there and they lied that the cooler went bad and the tranny was flooded. I took the car to a different shop and asked them for an estimate without telling them that the car was somewhere else. The guy told me that there is no water in the transmission 100% and the reason for the failure is the crappy job done on it! Just 8000 miles, guys!!! And instead of accepting the car back for repair these idiots broke my bumper when getting it off the towing dolly!See you in court, idiots!

Rudest people on the planet.They didnt fix my girlfriends transmission properly and when she called them the owner screamed and yelled at her and hung up on her numerous times. Then when they agreed to fix it again, when she picked it up all the same problems, nothing changed except they washed and waxed her car.Avoid this place at all costs!!!

Happy again! Ive had two transmissions rebuilt by Atlas both of them were performance oriented. First one was a 700R4 with the best parts available in 1998, held up for years behind a 383 stroker motor. Sold truck, transmission still working great. This time I had them rebuild the 4L65e in my supercharged silverado. They gave me the 3 year warranty even tho its supercharged, the price was reasonable. Out of the gate this transmission is performing better than the factory unit. Shifts from 1st thru 3rd are firm but not harsh, 2nd to 3rd being more firm than 1-2. Overdrive and lock-up seem more like a 4th and 5th gear shifts, very positive. Also they resolved the converter lock-up cycling in and out at low speeds that I forgot to tell them about. What they delivered is a mild shifting trans that gets more aggressive the more its pushed. Bill Empke and his employees are transmission professionals, I will use them again without hesitation.

Got screwed over on a transmission. Their Brand new transmissions are only rebuild and hold no value whatsoever. Try elsewhere
