I really appreciate the guys here, its good to know that theres still honest businesses out there. My car was giving me problems while I was driving. I called Car-X panicked, because I thought my car was going to give out in traffic. I spoke with Sid, and he calmly helped me make it to the shop. Because I know NOTHING about cars, he couldve easily taken advantage of me. But he was honest enough to inform me that it was simply a battery, and on top of that, he was kind enough to find a coupon for me! I have to save Mr. Vic is a life saver. On a cold snowy day after realizing, in order for me to complete my last errand of the day, I needed to get a new tire because my tire wouldnt take any more air. The tire was low and cold. I was about an hour away from Mr. Vic at Car-X and called him to find out if he had a tire in stock that would fit my vehicle. He did. Not knowing if I would make it to Car-X before closing time I headed over without calling Mr. Vic back. Car-X closes at 6pm and I arrived about 5:16pm. I ran in and stated I was the lady that called about the tire and asked if he could still put the new tire on. He said sure thing and instructed me to give him the keys so the mechanic could get busy. I was so relieved; my stress was over. While waiting for the mechanic to complete his job Mr. Vic chatted with me and my fiancee. He turned out to be a very nice guy. The best part of my visit to Car-X was by 5:40 pm I was walking out the door on my way to completing my last errand. Not only did Mr. Vic take me as a walk in so close to quitting time, I was there only for 24 minutes. OMG thats what you I call AWESOME customer service. I need 2 more tires and because of Mr. Vic I will make my next 2 tire purchases from Car-X at his location. Good job Mr. Vic and your mechanic! Yahoooo 😎

The manager was professional and courteous.

Went in for a simple engine check and it ended up needing a lot more. The staff gave me valuable information on the part and what happened to it on warranty and I had no idea. They got me in and out as well as offers coffee for me. The staff went as far as to offer to go to the store for my kids some snacks so they won’t get restless. Full of laughter and jokes that made the time pass fast. The store manager did everything he could possibly do to make our little stay as great as it was. Thank you car x 😊

Customer service is horrible. The Hispanic gentleman upfront with multiple tattoos has a nasty attitude. They also left the valve slightly loose and I had an small leak. He messed up my car.

This place is my go to for getting my car maintenance. My family and I have been coming here for years, but stopped once it was temporarily closed. I was wheeled back in after I made a phone call to see if the establishment was open again. To my surprise, there was new staff and management. The new staff is more knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient! Jacob took great care of my car and has great customer service. He is the best! If you are looking for a honest repair shop and will do the job this is the place to go!

This CarX from Lansing is an auto shop that preforms above excellent service. I personally am not to car smart, but Vic explains everything as clear as possible to me. Vic makes sure to answer my questions with all the details so I can actually understand when need to get checked out. The mechanic Jake walked me thru with what he saw, what he heard was the issue, and what he fixed. Jake let me know what to expect and showed excellent knowledge of the repairs he did. Definitely recommend this location over many other CarX. Will be returning with all my car issues.

Thanks Ralph and the team. They are honest, friendly and dependable. I went in for an estimate and before that I took it to the dealer and the price was that they gave me over $2000. And Ralph in the team looked at my car I didn’t tell him that I went to the dealer, they thought it would be about $1500 so I took my car in and was willing to pay the $1500 but what could I do, believe God would provide. I didn’t know at the time be did a further investigation and found out I only needed $525 with tax. Hallelujah! Honest Mechanics rare to find! Thanks you, Thanks you, Thanks you! Very honest staff. The dealership told me I needed new brakes and rotors back in October 2017. I go into Car-X to finally get them serviced in June 2018 and Im told that my brakes are still fairly new and I have quite a while before they would need changed. The staff was friendly and quick with service. They have won a customer for life with their honesty. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I had brakes/rotors/tires all done at the Lansing location last year. I had an issue with a tire a some months ago but the Lansing location was closed unexpectedly. I ended up going to a location on Kedzie, where the staff really took care of me. I had an issue with a tire a few days ago and I dreaded going to Lansing, but I went anyway. I had a flat tire and I was turned away by pep boys and even Firestone (which both are located literally feet away from each other) and I had my spare on me I just needed it put on I was running late for work. I pulled in after these guys had just closed up and they fixed my tire and didn’t even charge me. Great crew and stand up guys, highly recommend!!!! Thank you!

Called for a quote to replace my brake pads but they will not do just brake pads. They want you to change your rotors to (in my case they are perfectly fine. A waste of money to me.)

I had a situation with my car dealership, where I probably would had to spend more money for an issue that wasn’t a problem. Car-x made my day by relieving the stress.

Opens at 730am, I was there at 730 and the first in line. The first technician didnt arrive until 810am. By that time there were 5 waiting. The lady behind the counter seemed to be the only one who cared.The owner didnt care. I was there for oil change and tire rotation. Marked my tires and wished Id checked when I was there. They didnt rotate them. Wondering what else they didnt do.

I took my vehicle to this location for the first time since the previous owner (Chris) sold the company to corporate. I took my vehicle into Carx because my brake pedal was going to the floor. Champ and another worker by the Name Kierra inspected my vehicle and stated that I needed brake pads and rotors for the front and back of vehicle.I waited patiently for 4 hours after Champ(the store manager)quoted me at $641.80 and that he would throw in a brake flush and bleed the brakes for free. I ask the woman that was working on my vehicle, did she flush the brake system? She stated that the store manager (Champ)told her to just fill it up. If the brake flush that was promised to me was done and the store manager had delivered on his promise to flush the system, they would have noticed the brake line needed to be replaced, not pads and rotors.I drove my car for about 30 minutes and noticed that my car was smoking really bad and the brake light came on. The same reason why I took my car in. The next day 10/08/2019 Jacob and a guy name Sidney apologize and began to check my car out for real. Jacob and Sidney noticed in 3-5 minutes that the brake lines was leaking onto exhaust system which caused it to smoke. Jacob and Sidney immediately wanted to fix the problem. Sidney and Jacob was very professional and persistent and FIXED THE PROBLEM RIGHT AWAY. I wouldnt recommend this Carx in Lansing to anyone! Unless Jacob or Sidney was working on their vehicle. Thanks Jacob and Sidney for all that you have done to make me even consider this place again.

Gracien and Team were phenomenal! Gracien was the first and last person I saw, so his interaction and care for the customers really drives the customer service aspect! My car was in need of an oil change. I took it to the dealership and they had a 3hr wait. So I told the dealership I would just bring it back tomorrow. I stopped at the BP because my tires air pressure was low, but their machine was out of order. I looked across the street and seen a Firestone, and a Pepboys. So I figured I would give them a try. Pepboys was overcharging me and Firestone’s reviews just weren’t good. Then I seen Carx and I’ve taken my old car there before so I don’t know why I didn’t think about them first, they always do a great job. I called and Gracien was professional and more than happy to assist me! He gave me a quote and told me they currently didn’t have any wait. I pulled in as soon as we hung up and they quickly got to work on my car. They even put air in my tires! I am extremely satisfied with the service! Everyone was super friendly and seemed to love what they do! They have great prices! I will ALWAYS come back! Thank you Gracien and Team! Keep up the great work! Nothing made me feel better than seeing my car’s oil life at 100% and knowing I now have a go to place for all my car needs.

The new management staff tell you everything up front about their services and cost. Ive had my oil changed twice and was pleased with service and the price. No long waiting for services. Please call ahead but they do take walk-ins.

I can not express my gratitude and satisfaction with this place, specifically with Brian and Jacob. I broke down on the side of the road at 3:30 pm during the holidays and Brian said that hed do everything he could to help me out if I could get myself there. I finally got towed to the garage at 5:15, 45 minutes before closing, and within 5 minutes Jacob was working on my car. I should also say that since I was having tire problems the car couldnt get into the garage, so he worked on it in the parking lot in 40 degree weather without complaint. By 5:45 I was on my way with complete assurance that things were fixed, not only because they told me, but because they let me stand by and watch them work. Its because of Brian and Jacob that I made it that night after driving another 4.5 hours. 10 stars without question. Ill stop by for an oil change if Im ever again in the area. Thanks again!

I called this location for my daughter to see if they could do the kind of work needed (a welding job) for an exhaust system. I was told they do welding work but he would need to see it first before he could say they could do the work. I said ok. I asked then how much could a welding job cost? He said I couldnt tell you how much of the cost to repair the car until I see it. I said Im not talking about this car? I am asking based on your experience for the welding jobs that you have seen what was the cheapest cost versus what was the highest cost for a welding job? He then said again about this car I can give no quote. I said Im not asking for a quote for this car. I am asking for the range of costs for welding jobs youve seen. Then he said it can range $100-$1000 and hung up. Now why would I take my thousand dollars to spend in this shop?

Jacob hooked me upp, got my jeep together.. thought I was going to be on the hook for something major, he went over everything that i had problems overheating on my way to Illnois from Indiana, and being from north Carolina almost 1,200 miles away I wasnt sure who to trust..! Made an apt. Came an hour early they pulled it right in and got to work checked everything ended up being just low on coolant and a few air bubbles... didnt charge me for it and I opted to get a oil change since I was almost due for onee... by far very honest and trustworthy if your car has issues these guys are the ones for your car!! Next time I come up to vist family I will definitely be stopping in here for a quick check up thank you from the bottom of my heart!! I owe ya million

These guys are top notch, old school mechanics! They love what they do and have a wealth of knowledge at their disposal. Unlike the previous reviewer, I do not know how to fix my own car and need somebody I could trust. The customer service was acceptable. I dont need, nor was I expecting over enthusiastic mechanics. They smiled, listened to my responses to their questions and gave me a time frame for repairs after quoting. They finished on time, shook my hand and I went about my day.Heres the bottom line, for me I know quality service is going to cost money. Of course if I could do it myself I would save money, but I cant so I have to pay for service. When I do, I want to make sure my money is going to QUALITY service and I feel thats exactly what I got from these men at CarX. Perhaps because I understand business, I understand the costs involved. The previous reviewer mad a comment, IF he could AFFORD an alignment rack., well CarX can and thats a job cost for doing business as is having a payroll, shop, warranty, insurance, parts and tools. All stuff Do-It-yourselfers dont understand.So if youre a do-it-yourselfer, you probably wouldnt be taking your car here anyway, and if youre like me, just looking for a mechanic you can trust they know what they do I can recommend these guys 100%

I walked in with a cheerful attitude, and was greeted with a nonchalant demeanor from some of the staff. I recently completed a lot of under body suspension work from front to back. I used to work for Ford so I completed all the necessary repairs myself. When I told them that I did the repairs, I noticed increased attitude from a Mr. Jim Kirwin, He asked me why did I think I needed to replace all those parts in an ignorant tone of voice. I was going to to tell him its none of your business but continued to be cordial and answered his question politely. So then I told him I just need a alignment and he took my car and begin the process. I took about 45 min to an hour to complete which is fine, but all while he had my car I had a feeling something was not right. So when he was done and he brought my car around I was then greeted with a smile and told to have a good day. I left thinking everything was ok, A week went by and I start noticing that the alignment is still off, I then went to the gas station thinking maybe i have a slow leak in one of my tires, come to find out none of my tires where inflated to manufacturer spec. Mine is suppose to be 32 psi, but each tire was at different levels, also I found that on my passenger side rear tire. The (TPMS) Tire Pressure Monitor System, valve stem is broken making it impossible to inflate the tire. It was not broken when I brought there. If it was an accident or on purpose they still charged me for a alignment that was not done right. You cannot do a proper alignment if the tires are not inflated to proper spec. So they pretty much screwed me out of my money all because I think they were mad that I knew how to fix my own car and I did not need there expensive service, because it would have probably cost me in parts and labor 1,500.00 to 3,000.00 to have them repair what only cost me 342.00 to do it myself. Trust me If I could afford a alignment rack, I would not need anyones help lol lol. So I would not be going back there anymore. I had to go to the dealership to have a second alignment done and correct his mistakes at my expense unfortunately.
