Handz on gave me one of the best mechanic experiences Ive had. I dropped off my 2014 Range rover evoque for a coolant leak and they promptly did a full inspection and showed me a few things that Ill need to get checked out in the future but were not push in the slightest. They are excellent at communicating and send updates to your phone. 10/10 will definitely use Handz on as my mechanic in the future.

I had issues with my BMW 5 series 528i xdrive and I was looking up the best service center near me who takes care of imported cars. I have heard from my friend and I called up to set an appointment. I have been set into a time within a day and they are right on spot to diagnose the issue and provided me with an affordable costs for fixing the same. I was on my way to Detroit from Muskegon when I hit something in the road and blew a tire. When changing the tire to the spare, one of my studs broke off and another was on its way. It was almost 5pm by the time I was able to get off the highway and to a tire shop to purchase a new tire and wheel, but they wouldn’t touch the studs. I called one shop and they turned me away because they were closing soon but then Chris, from Handz On, agreed to help me out even though they would also be closing soon and saved me from being stranded overnight. He was professional, quick, and didn’t overcharge or try to take advantage of me being a woman that didn’t know much about cars. As a female, it’s always hard to find a good mechanic that you can trust. What could have been an even worse day was saved thanks to Chris. Thank you so much!

My wife and I have had service performed on her Audi TT four times at Handz On. Each time the work has been done in a timely manner and was fairly priced. If you own a foreign brand car, the professionals at Handz On are the people to see. If there was ranking with 10 stars, they would have gotten that.

Scammed by them twice. Lied about my Mazda repairs and then convinced me to sell them the car. Then they tried to charge me 2500 for a new computer. Got a second opinion and I only needed two hoses. Who woulda thought! Complete scam artists. Dont trust them with your bicycle.

They did a great job on the car, the parts had to be shipped in from another country they were able to get them and I think it was fairly priced.

We had a leak in our VW convertible and our regular mechanic could not fix it. They were able to diagnose and repair. It was a bit expensive but they were able to find the problem for us. Staff was courteous.

My car was making noises for several months and I didn’t understand how this could be possible when I replaced many parts on my front end. When I spoke to Chris initially, he told me my options and to bring it in. As soon as I heard my options I knew he was very knowledgeable, which made me feel confident about having him service my vehicle. He’s all about saving you money also so that is always a plus! I was 4 states from home and had an auto that means the world to me a close family connection. I was attending my daughters wedding when my Jaguar left me in the hands of Handz on. I was helpless at first but soon left feeling trust. The team at Lansing Handz on took great care of my car. Fixing it at a fair price and keeping it safe during the whole process. I highly recommend Lansing, Michigans handz on.

The whole staff at Handz On Foreign Auto Care is very professional. Chris is excellent at diagnosing your car and telling you whats up with it. I had a bunch of repairs done on my stage 1 BMW 428XI, and he was more than happy to take the time out from his busy schedule to let me know what issues are we looking at, how soon you should get them fixed and quoted me fairly. Its not the most cheap, but its a bang for the buck. For great quality Ill pay a higher price. They really made me feel at ease with all the good work they did on my car. Appreciated the owners knowledge expertise and willingness to communicate. I thought I needed a new A/C compressor but was diagnosed with a loose belt and overfilled A/C system. I was very happy to get this repair done at way less than half the cost I expected rather than replacing the compressor. The owner went out of his way to accommodate my vehicle. I had another hard starting issue when it was hot. He could not duplicate the problem but recommended replacing the fuel pressure regulator which solved the problem so far at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommended!

So if I can give then a zero star I would. They did not put back my stuff right. My whole caliper was loose when I got my car back. Coming home with my car I heard a scratchy noise thought that it could be just the really new breaks. It got worse. I had my wife take off the wheel and looked at it and yeah whole caliper was loose, a bolt was missing, the shield thing that goes behind the rotor was all bent (which caused the screeching noise) changed all four breaks, rotors, and one new caliper (for pretty much $900) which they stated that it was ready to fall off yet couldn’t put back my car!

I have been to Handz On a few times now for my 2009 Mini Cooper, the service has been excellent. Chris does a great job of explaining what was wrong with my car and how to fix it. Even showing me the issues in the shop when the car was on the lift. He he gone above and beyond working out multiple quotes so that I can be informed of future maintenance costs and they have done a great job fitting into my busy schedule with trips provided to home and work in the local area. I would highly recommend Handz On to anyone needing a mechanic in the Lansing area.

I also really liked that I was able to approve and/or decline suggested repairs from a link they sent to my phone. My son has taken his car to Handz On auto repair a couple of times & he was pleased with their professionalism with customer service & mechanical expertise. I spoke with Chris, the manager regarding my rack & pinion & other suspension concerns & he had his mechanics to diagnose my vehicle to confirm that the vehicle needed a rack & pinion. So, I gave him a deposit to order the part which was replaced today. It was nice to be offered a loaner vehicle which I accepted. He has been professional, honest, and his mechanics are friendly & skilled.

My family loves Saab’s. We have a 2011 silver 9-5, 2008 9-3 blue convertible and a 2006 9-3 black convertible. We have had all three vehicles diagnosed and repaired at Handz-On. We used to drive all the way to a Grand Rapids dealership (45 minutes one way) to have them serviced but not anymore. Handz-On is the best “Handz-down” in quality, service and knowledge. I have an older vehicle that I just love, never had any problems until 2 years ago. My husband had his car serviced at Handz On in the past and had a good experience. I ended up having some major engine work done, pretty scary! Chris and his staff are very knowledgeable. Before any work was done Chris explained exactly what the problem and how they could solve the problem. Fast forward almost 2 years and my older car is still on the road. You get a estimate that is way too over priced then they offer you a radio coupon. Still the price is just as bad as the tuffy down the road. Dealer ships use the genuine parts for the extra money and they last more than just a year perhaps another 5 to 10 years if you plan to keep the car

Took my car in to get my battery replaced, filter change and oil change. Had to set up an appointment in advance so I wouldnt have to wait long, so I brought my car in the night before. Chris the manager had my car ALL DAY and when I showed up at 5 pm, no work had been done on my car. He then blamed it on his staff, did a rush horrible job. My car still doesnt start well w new battery, now it smells like something is burning when I start it and it makes a new swishing sound coming from my tires. I have spent over $3,000 here and the work is subpar and does not last. This last time was worse than before, never going back, they take your money and car is worse off then when you left it.

Handz On does superb work with my Mini 2014. I live quite a distance from the dealership which sells my car (and where I previously got service done). I learned about Handz On from my daughter and I have been very pleased with the service, diagnosis, and results of their maintenance and repair work.

Giving them another chance, because they are good with Volkswagen. I understand that Chris doesnt like to flush heater cores because it doesnt always work. Its a gamble that I wanted to take, but he didnt. After thinking about it, I can appreciate his concerns. If hed tried and it didnt work, there was the possibility that Id be upset. In retrospect, he kind of faced a potential no win scenario. As I said in my previous posts, my prior experiences with Chris were positive. Guess both of us had to eat some crow on this one.

If something doesn’t need fixing right away but is something to be watched, they will tell you. They don’t lie about it just to get more money. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

On Friday night, 2/2/18 my car died in Lansing. From what the guys at Valvoline told me, it looked like my radiator had a crack, and wed never get the car back to Addison that night. So, we left it overnight, came back Saturday morning. Fortunately Handz On was just down the road. I called ahead, just to check if they could fit me it, and they could! It was a last minute radiator replacement, but they got me in and out in a couple hours and without too large a dent in my wallet. And I know that they got me the best price because Chris took the time to find me a radiator that wasnt going to cost an arm and a leg. Thank you so much Handz On! I had a flex pipe issue and someone told me about this place. It was a great experience and great price to get my Audi A6 fixed. They charged me half the price that the Redline was charging. Very satisfied with them. I am taking my Audi to them for repair going forward.

Handz On is not one of those average mechanic shops. Every time I come here, I always leave satisfied. For somebody who doesnt know too much about cars, I have been screwed over by several shops in the area when getting oil changes and new parts (2003 Honda Accord). Finding this place put much of my fears about shady mechanics to rest. Handz On has a knowledgable, experienced team that gets you exactly what you need at a very reasonable cost. You cant find anything much better than here.

Excellent communication, knowledge of my vehicle and cost of repair. Had to have major oil leak diagnostics, timing belt replaced and rear break replaced. Scheduling worked very well with my available dates to drop it off. Repairs were completed quickly and done when I was told it would be done. Chris’s knowledge of my vehicles mechanicals is very impressive, he was able to explain to me the issues, repairs and answers my questions in terms I could understand. (I am NOT very mechanically inclined). Cost of repairs was better than competitive with dealerships and quality service centers. I will continue to have Handz On maintain my millage services as well as any required additional repairs that may be needed on my 2013 VW Passat TDI.

Would leave a 0/5 review if I could.Alternator died, bought a new one at OReillys and brought it in to Handz On, they were able to install it and had to replace the battery because it wouldnt hold a charge. Labor and the battery cost me 400 bucks, only for my car to not run 2 days later due to the alternator connection -- They said they cant guarantee a warranty on a part I brought in, but it seems pretty shady to waste my money on labor if they could see the alternator was incorrect but installed it anyways -- per OReillys, the alternator was the correct make and model for my car, and I brought in the old alternator to make 100% sure - and if it was the incorrect part, my car wouldnt have run perfectly fine for 2 days before breaking down. Also, my AC worked before I brought the car in, but not since (Alternator hooks up to AC and water pump).400 bucks later, Im completely out of a vehicle and jaded, when Handz On had the best reviews in the area and is right next to my work :/
