I have had this car for less then 5 months and it has been in the shop twice, now going on a third time for the same issue. They do not return your calls when you try and get ahold of them as they tell you to do. Very frustrated.

Horrible place. Made me pay for a car i dont even have. Watch out they love taking people to court. Sue happy place. I would definitely stay away from this place.

Read the fine print because the interest is high, the trade in value they say and actually give are 2 different figures and the more they give you for your trade the higher the random fees go up on your contract and dont be intimidated by the salesman. Ask ANY AND ALL questions before you sign and dont except anything less than 100% honesty becaise your the customer and have many options they need your purchase to get there paycheck so you are in charge and dont forget that they work for you. Unprofessional. I had to wait for someone to help. When they finally did they wanted all of my information before even seeing if i would like a car there. Everytime i asked a question they got very short with me. Would highly recommend going to paradise motors. Went there right after. They were super friendly and helped me find a car. All financing handles upfront so you know exactly what the approval is and what your price range is. They even have a sheet that will tell you what your estimated monthly payments will be based off of car price. Sales rep was not pushy at all and wanted to make sure I got what I was looking for not the up sale. Easiest and fastest car buying experience I have ever had. Stay as far as possible from this company. Thankfully due to their lack of experience, customer support, and inability to provide proper services online (invalid, required encryption, and online hosting flaws) going to court is very easy! Just a pain that shouldnt have had to happen. Also, notice the amazing new 5 star reviews - They will offer an incentive for leaving a good review to hide all their professionalism and mask a decent experience. Best customer service I have ever received while purchasing a car!! The salesman was out so I dealt with the Finance Mgr, Aaron. Aaron was outstanding. He gave me time to walk around the lot and view the inventory before I was ever approached, which I appreciate! There was no pressure to buy, nor did he attempt to put me in a vehicle I couldnt afford. Very friendly, professional and excellent customer service. Ive had a bad situation with RPM and Aaron even contacted the finance company personally to express my situation before they made a loan determination. He went above and beyond what was necessary to ensure that I was pleased. I didnt see what I wanted on their lot so he directed me to their website. I was able to call Aaron and verify the vehicles were still available before traveling which saved me a lot of time. He did offer to have them shipped to Lansing to save me the drive, which I politely declined. Had a great experience at car city. Went on line did the application sent them all the info they needed, within 15 minutes got a call back saying we were approved. All the staff; John, Aaron and Jim are good at listening to what you need and doing their best to meet your needs. They stand behind their vehicles because they want to make a sale and they want you to get a good deal and they want you to come back when you are ready for another vehicle. This place is such a joke. They don’t follow through with contact. The cars are “detailed” but they are still filthy. There was built up oil all on the handle on the passenger side. A bug in the windshield. A “smoky” film on the inside of the windows. But the kicker is that they LEASE used cars with over 100,000 miles on them. If you want to trade in after 6-12 months at another dealership, you can’t. You’re stuck with them for FORTY EIGHT months paying an ungodly amount of money for a car that is priced way above blue book. Run far away from Car City!!!!

Car city of Lansing was an all around great experience. Not only did I get amazing service from the guys who worked there, even my kids loved this place, So much in fact, that we went back the next day so my youngest could play in the play room again (which has a huge chalk wall)! Asked about there advertised deal over the phone. Got the qualifications and was told the requirements and told that if you met them you are guaranteed since its buy here pay here. When I went in did the same thing before I let them run my credit. Advised I wanted qualifications on there deal and what would make or break the down payment special?!?!? Told requirements and qualifications. Advised I met those. Ran my credit and income advise much higher down payment. On car for lease. I think much of it was income I make a VERY good income. I politely declined and went and got a vehicle from Lafontainte Ford. Way less down. Less miles and a service contract. Il own it in 48 months not have to trade in or pay more. BECAREFUL choose wisely!

Sales representative was decent but I dont understand how people dont pay attention too finance charges and the fact that they dont tell you its a lease until halfway to almost done with the paper work! I had it looked at by the GM dealership before purchasing and was told it was in great condition, never had any major problems with the vechile!
