I was inside the market and my maps didn’t register my arrival & the prices are higher then other markets in the area. However, the product variety is excellent. They have a vegan cooler, locally grown products, fresh fruits and vegetables, a deli, sushi bar, lots of different meats and drink selection. There is a bottle return outside of the store near the parking. Really convenient! The sitting area near the deli is really chic & spacious. Little carts for the kiddos!! The market is well thought out concept of a market: it’s clean, and welcoming. It has a upscale environment. Very inviting.

Very convenient Downtown Lansing. Clean, a variety of fresh & locally grown foods. including a Sushi bar. The Staff are always helpful and friendly and they love when I bring my Service Animal Toby in, he gets all the attention 😆 LoL. Toby loves going there, little love sponge. They also supply a clean, temperature controlled Pup Hut outside for those who are not Service Animals that are Not allowed in the Market. I would recommend it to anyone who needs Groceries & lives in the Downtown area. Within walking 🚶‍♂️ distance to almost anywhere in the Downtown area. 👍👍

Really nice store with an upscale artisan feel. Large sections for produce, wine, and Michigan craft beer. Theres a coffee bar, deli, and sushi counter, and an abundance of Michigan-made products throughout. Theres definitely a focus on smaller, single items with the notion that people will shop frequently, picking up only a few items at a time, vs occasional volume shopping to stock up. Oh, and parking was ample and free.

I didnt see a reason this store would replace my normal visits to a regular Meijer, but I can see how convenient this store is for downtown. You can get mostly the same things here as you can at a bigger store. Things are in less quantity, so some things were sold out. The store itself is more like Fresh Thyme in design. It just feels like a fancier Meijer. I also noticed some items are cheaper, while others are more expensive than a regular Meijer.Self checkout is nice, not accepting Meijer coupons is weird.

I am happy to say that the negative reviews I read were not true. The prices of the grocery items, produce, were either the same, or very close to the prices in any Meijer store. One review said they thought they would have to pay 10$ to park in the parking lot if they had parked and gone in! I knew that wasnt true before I got there! You do not pay any amount to park in the lot!It seemed a lot larger inside than I thought it would be . I use the amigo carts. I found at least 4 as I entered the back door.A pleasant place to shop with many extra special items for many different tastes, along with the usual food and items. One problem could be that, as far as I could tell. They only have self service check-out lanes. Some folks may not like them, or not know how to use them. I can use them but its been along time since I have.A friend I was with helped me.Id say just give it a try, if youre interested! Next time Ill check out the deli, coffee, and gift shopareas!

Best Meijer in Lansing, and possibly in Michigan. The variety of products at this location is different from all the rest. It is even designed different than all of the rest. It was nice, but it was huge. Not a place to go for the first time if you are in a hurry. Go when you have plenty of time to look for what you want. Parking is another thing. If you do not park right in front of the door which is parallel parking then you have to park around the back and walk all the way around. That was not convenient either when I was in a hurry . Other than that it was a nice store....a little pricey, but it was nice. I am sure it would be a 5 star but those reasons are why I am giving it a 4 star.

This location is very close to where we live, so its really convenient, and we still really like going there. However, weve recently had an issue with food going bad before the best by date, and just really short shelf spans of food weve been buying. A MUCH NEEDED addition to Downtown Lansing - an actual grocery store.Other than proximity (which is a mere 4 minutes away from my house), this particular Meijer definitely focuses on Michigan-made, especially Locally-Made, products and brands. A food store in the Capital should showcase the great foods Michigan offers. The staff are friendly, warm, and quite helpful. Hopefully, theyll be just as inviting and helpful when I call for some late minute items that I need... on my 20th or 200th visit.I will be calling this my main store from now on, with the W. I really like this location. However, unfortunately the prices are higher than the other Meijers the area, probably due to Gillespie rent. They have tons of local and prepared foods. But they only have a limited selection of certain items compared to the other stores. They mostly have food and some limited selection of cosmetic / cleaning items. I still have to make trips out to the other Meijers to buy other basic items I need. I appreciate this addition as it does cut down on my need to travel further to buy things. However I wish they could make it easier to get everything I need there and make it more like a grocery store and less like a bougie market. For example, I couldnt find coconut water or rubber gloves there at all. Lots of little things like this that arent available.

I freely admit that Im a picky shopper from several perspectives. Store size and, cleanliness are just a couple. Everything at Capitol City Market appeared clean and fresh, the staff were helpful and friendly. If needed, there are allotted days and times for seniors, and special needs persons in our community. If you were to look for negatives Im sure just as with any situation, you will find them. The store is beautiful and well cared for. It looks like the produce is hand selected and in great shape. First visit. Very impressed. Large, clean grocery. A Meijer store, but grocery only. No pharmacy. Have a health/beauty aisle. Very nice coffee shop area. Closes oddly at 5pm. Lots of space/seating. All grocery sections had large selection. Ample street prkng & a lot directly South of store. Prkng lot has 3 sections. Store prkng rite outside the door. Further prkng for apts above store. Marriott hotel prkng, adjacent to the East. Lot has 2 electric vehicle chrgng spots. Also a carpeted small dog pooping area. Very convenient. Street prkng probably more difficult on baseball game nites. Reviewers have complained abt: walking, some also saying story was small; others, was large. Its a large grocery Only. Many Americans tend to be lazy. Walking is minor issue. Restrooms clean/modern in this newer store. Excellent WiFi. Store closes at 10pm.No problem with any beggars or predators. Did not see any.Follow up visit. Took time to explore. This Meijer store has national items. But it also has a very strong Michigan made and locally sourced selection of products. For example: 2 local honey, beef, dips, produce, kimchi, ice cream & many more. Many lunch ready items. Two microwaves in coffee shop for heating. One hr time limited coffee shop. Noted this time, theres no serviced deli area.Still, with the local and specialty items, this is an impressive store.UpDate: July 21. Stopped in at 8am opening for java & a bagel. Also got brkfst sandwich in grocery. Only 1 of 2 microwave ovens is wrkng now. Very friendly coffee shop ppl. Appears coffee shop is independent of the grocery. Was approched by young hustler in mens restroom. Not a threat. Shd have reported to the store. Didnt. I did tell them abt 2 wks later. This hustler was well disguised as a shopper. Stay alert. Keep your stuff with you.UpDate: Aug 15, 21. Sun, afternoon baseball game. Store prkng was Ok. In coffee shop for awhile. Mid-afternoon. Fairly heavy shopping traffic. Coffee shop was like a pig thru a snake. Abt 15 tables. Not more than 1/2 full. Apparently a lot of neighborhood denizens. Ppl at 4 diff tables came & went while visiting one another. Older ppl, not students. So, its a gathering place for locals? After 15-30 mins ppl cleared out. Tables almost empty again. Store & coffee shop seem to be thriving. Very friendly & efficient coffee shop service. When afternoon baseball game was over; there was no noticeable increase in store traffic. A little surprising. Ppl were just looking to leave the area. 😷😷🤔😁

Picked up some chocolate covered coffee beans and Fresh baked goods from Detroit and other good stuff. Will definitely be going back!!!! Oh and bonus - MPerks and coupons work here. Whoever dreamed up this concept is a marketing genius! And I must add that I usually hate shopping but this shopping trip felt like a much needed fun night out. I parked on Michigan Ave but theres lots of parking out back with its own entry and exit. The carts are a bit weird if you park on Michigan Ave. They lock up at a certain point - underground magnets or something - and you cant push the cart to the street. SciFi and weird. Staff was great.
