I tried to patronize a black business but this place is no good. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS AND TAKE HEED! The owner has poor business practices and the staff is very short and rude over the phone. The food I was given Iv never had this issue with other Nigerian restaurants or owners. Fatima is lucky to be in business. Everyone has been short and rude and I will report her to BBB.
This folks are cooking trash in the name of food. I hope that no real Nigerian person goes there to order or dine in because you will be totally disappointed. I ordered through Uber eat, the plantains were rotten the ayamase was tasteless. This people need to close down. Whoever thats cooking this cabbage is a disgrace. They dont deserve any stars. Its a waste of money.
I’m never gonna order there ever ever again. I literally paid so much money and all I got was bones, the food was soo little and when I called to complain about it, they were so rude to me and hung up the phone. I hate this place
TERRIBLE FOOD RUDE AND OVER CHARGED ME. GO TO SERSI AFRICAN GROCERIES HAZEL CREST IL. SHES THE BEST ALWAYS PLEASANT AND NICE. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. THE ONLY REASON WHY I WENT HERE WAS BECAUSE SHE WAS CLOSED TODAY. THIS PLACE IS A ABSOLUTE JOKE.
Let me save you some time and some money.... Go to Sesi in Hazel Crest. I tried Difference many times because it was the only African place close to Lansing. Rude staff, super spicy food thats sometimes to hot to eat, super tough meat, very small portions for the price and an inconsistent schedule. They get two stars because they have hit the mark on occasion but overall.....nope
Extremely rude staff, inconsistent portion sizes, and food us Extremely spicy. Over priced for super small portion sizes. Save your money!
We ordered from this restaurant for the first time because our normal south suburban Nigerian restaurant is closed on Mondays.NEVER AGAIN!!!!! The egusi was so salty that my blood pressure was instantly elevated. The fried rice was okay, but the pieces of chicken including with it was horrible. They were small and tasted old. The jollof rice was burnt and the included fish was small and over-fried. This is by far the worse Nigerian restaurant I’ve ever had in the entire city of Chicago (north side, south side, suburbs) I would give them zero stars if I could and actually give them pointers on how to make some “difference” egusi!
Save your money. Was very disappointed with this place. The chicken was hard and overcooked. The jollof had a burnt taste to it. They gave me a piece of goat that barely had meat on it; that was also overcooked. The girl at the register was rude. I will not be going back.
The woman on the intercom seemed to have trouble deciding if they serve fried fish on their menu in tomato sauce, and not sure of prices. They keep u outside, & dont let u in nor do they have an appropriate, descriptive menu on the window. So negative so bye. Wont get my hard earned money.
I love the food a 100% best African food in the south suburbs BUT the girl at the register is always rude and angry. So I stopped going!
Inconsistent…really a hit or miss literally have to keep your fingers crossed!!
Good location and nice African dishes
Quick service good african Nigerian food and great price.
The food is amazing 👏 😋 😍. Its a hit every time and very affordable 👌
It was terrible! I would never go back there again! I had never been there before and I specifically asked for stewed chicken (I only eat chicken and fisha) with rice but I got all tice with chicken bone and a piece of beef and this other meat I couldnt even identify! I called back to let them know and to ask for a replacement meal but they told me that they dont replace meals. I was totally shocked. I will never waist my money there again. Ughhhhh! They dont deserve even one star.
Love this place! wonderful food! wonderful people!
The lady that picked up the call has stinking attitude and I lost my appetite immediately.cmon you can do better.
The worst food I ever had in my life! The jollof rice too spicy and the meat was extremely tough. Couldnt even tell what meat was what. Just terrible and waste of money!
They will hang up the phone on you and they dont have communication skills
I ask one question and they hanged up on me and did not reply back
The jollof rice is SUPER SPICY but you can’t stop eating it, it’s that good. The food is really tasty and fresh. I was in the area for a while so I tried different stuff from the menu and her food is pretty good. The downside is they don’t pay enough attention to your order. If I order goat meat, I need goat meat not turkey fish and meat. That’s the only issue I’d say I have.
Excellent customer service, tasty and delicious food. This restaurant is highly recommended!
BY FAR THE WORST I HAVE HADCOSTUMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLETHE FOOD LOOKS AS THO I WAS BEGGING FOR IT!And the owner is very rude!!I asked for some better rice she was trying to charge me for it then I complained and said it was dry she then asked my why did I order it then because they had already took it out the pot / scraped the pot.
Their food taste good but poor service.
$18 for this! Im disappointed. but I may give them another try. It looks like they had a extensive catering order. I saw it posted on card board. This was my second time going. And they were out of moin moin, the entire reason I went. Meat piei bought for $1 was not bad. But Im also starving when buying.
Bad customer serviceFood was okay.
Excellent food and service. Top notch 👌
If youre looking for good tasting jollof rice, ayamashe, or local Nigerian dishes. This is the spot. She also caters which is awesome.
😋😋😋The best in area thats for sure....thank you... Im full and lazy...see you soon...never going thru Chicago without stopping for that yam and Agussi soup...Very authentic west African cuisine
Good food but service is slow
