Not impressed. I feel like if you want your asking price you should maintain your packaging better. I feel like I did NOT get a deal, but bought USED items. The contents of the opened box nearly fell out as I walked to my car after purchase. Pretty lame experience if you ask me.

This is my go-to location, not only because its close to my home but because they usually have what I need also. Ive never been treated rudely by anybody who works here, and everyone Ive talked to seems to know enough about the area theyre assigned to. Prices are right on par with other big box stores. The only criticism I have is that its extremely frustrating to still want to shop for Halloween only to find that they got rid of all Halloween decorations more than a week before the actual holiday.

Love going there. And the customer service is outstanding. I love how you can take your dogs in there too.

Home Depot is Disneyland for adults... its the fun part of your next project... but...i have the hardest time finding an employee that knows where anything is let alone how to use it or what works best...i guess thats why we have YouTube and Google... Home Depot has done a good job of keeping a clean store and if you just follow the signs you can usually manage to find what your looking for... just dont ask anyone for advice... there are some employees that know what their talking about but they are hard to find... GOOD LUCK!!!

7.21.21Ordered a sprinkler filter online at homedepot.com. item was delivered to the Layton store. I received an email with a customer code to be used at the in-sttore locker. You could also use a QR code at the lockers. Once you put in the code a door, unknown which one, will pop open. You open and there is your item(s). Mine had yellow tape on package with my last name. The package comes with an inventory slip or receipt attached to the package. No problems easy pickup. Unfortunately, the filter didnt fit my older filter case, so I had to return it to customer service in store.I found all my sprinkler needs at this store.

Love this location for Truck and Van rentals! I had never seen Danielle behind the counter before my recent experience and was so completely impressed with how friendly, professional and quick she was with helping my family and I get a truck for our recent move. She went above and beyond helping with orienting us to the new truck and expertly checked us in and out so efficiently. We will definitely be back to use the service again and hope we work with her again!

Do not order installation on appliances through Home Depot. They will not actually perform the installation or haul away the old appliance, even when you have paid them to do it. Refunding the install costs doesnt make up for the inconvenience.

She went out of her way, including explaining several options, taking me to other departments in the store to show me, and also explained what to avoid to finish my bathroom project successfully. I was installing a new threshold for my neighbor and I happen to be in Layton and stopped at home Depot could not find exactly what I needed but I found something that would work and $9 later I installed it and she loves it

While convenience and pricing is important, customer service - how they treat those who make their business possible is on the top of the list. Recently, Home Depot changed their return policy and will no longer allow returns for anything without either a receipt or the card it was purchased on (so they can confirm the purchase). Well, how often do I keep a receipt for a less expensive item? A single roll of R-13 insulation? Since I bought it, my card had been replace due to a data breach - so they couldnt find it. They said sorry, not even store credit. I did ultimately find the receipt in a file from our bathroom remodel. When I went back, it was obvious that I was beyond the 90 day return window - no problem. Store credit right? Not really. I had used some instore credit to partly purchase the roll of insulation. So, I received an in-store credit less the in-store credit I had used to buy the roll - and the cashier gave me some story about only crediting me what the most recent prices were. Nonsense. Same product is still carried. Cost me time, cost me money - but I really didnt appreciate how I was treated. So, all this over a $30 roll of insulation. So, what did I do? I went to Lowes and spent $160 on more insulation that I needed and a new electric staple gun. So, Home Depot, your new policy is great - saving you all kinds of money. Ill be going to Lowes for a while since you arent interested in taking care of us customers.

Pretty typical hardware store. I do find a lot of employees walking around doing nothing. Hit or miss on getting help. The biggest drawback to this Layton Home Depot is that they only have self-checkout stations open when I go there. I know they offer a military discount but its pretty hard if the employee manning 4 of the self-checkout stations is busy on her phone. This is why I go to Lowes the majority of the time. Lowes has actual checkers who ask you if you have a Lowes account or a Military ID. If you are affiliated with the military, save yourself 10 percent by going to the Lowes on Antelope.

Sue in the garden center goes above and beyond to help customers find the best products for their needs. She is so pleasant and willing to help anyone! I will shop at Home Depot in Layton just because of Sue. Her smile and kindness keep me going all day!!

Ive tried the Valspar paint at Lowes. It is not any good. Switched to the Behr paint and was happy with how things turned out.

Good place had everything I needed. It was very organized and well laid out I had access to everything I needed at that time. It was a pretty spacious building. I went in looking for sprinklers and was a little overwhelmed by the massive building it was way easier to find then i expected. Super great place with great employees. Great for any at home needs or even garden needs.

I shop here frequently for home improvement, gardening, or DIY and their customer service is always outstanding. The employees are always happy and willing to help with whatever you are looking for as well as helping you find answers to any questions you may have. They have also always brought up important issues that may come up in any projects that I wouldnt have known otherwise, saving me from finding out the hard way. Thanks Home Depot!

Staff is usually very helpful. There have been a few times, although not today, that I have been talked down to a little bit. Probably because Im a woman. But for the most part associates talk to me as though Im an intelligent being.

We bought a dish washer on June 6th. The first came damaged and was then back ordered until July 22nd. They came today and now do not feel comfortable installing due to a small water leak. We have to wait until the 31st for a plumber to fix it and install it. I wish they would have looked at this the first time they came, but now we wait the additional time and hope there isn’t even more issues the next time.

The Home Depot always has what I need when Im working on a project. I think we are all waiting for their lumber costs to come down though. We know production and stake costs are lower, so why arent we seeing the change to the end consumers?

Been working on my house fixing it up. I have spent an awful lot of money at this place. They recently changed their return policy which is now so inconvenient. So it will definitely have an impact on future jobs for sure.

Home Depot is okay. You can almost always find what you need. However, you really need to speak up if you need help. Because its not necessarily going to come to you. So this is a store where unless you know exactly where everything is you need to find your voice. That is the only downfall that I have with this store. Once you have found someone to help you I have never had a problem with anyone that works at the store.

Didn’t have the sprinkler parts I needed today but I’m usually pleased with their selection. The advice I get from employees on home projects is hit or miss. Generally, you’re better off checking YouTube to figure things out on your own. Curbside is also hit or miss. Usually it ends up being faster to just go in and find it myself than to wait for them to bring it out.

One of the employees was very helpful in the Layton store. He was checking on several weed killers to see if they were what I wanted. Very kind and attentive!

We purchased carpet through Home Depot, who contracts through Western States Flooring to install. I was helped by Bryanna at Home Depot who was amazing. She helped me find an amazing carpet for my home at an even more amazing price. She answered all my questions and was very knowledgable about the available product and procedures for installation. The installers were amazing!! Extremely fast. We had our entire home (5 bedroom, 2 family room, 1 living room, 2 hallways, and 2 full flights of stairs) completely removed of old carpet and pad with new pad and carpet installed in a single day!! They were very polite, helpful, hardworking and did I mention fast. They took time to make sure it was done correctly and that we were happy. I would definitely recommend both Home Depot (their price was significantly less - 30% - than the other 4 flooring stores that had quoted me for the same quality carpet) and Western States Flooring for your flooring needs.

Never had worse service in my life, very disappointed, went for a outdoor table and umbrella, when we got them the boxes are all damaged and the lady helping us didnt want to go back and grab another. No seemed like they wanted to work

Typical HD. Workers were trying to restock as we shopped, not overly helpful but I assume because they were busy. Lots of aisles blocked and closed due to the process going on. Other than that they had what I came for.

Its a decent store with the selection youd expect. Pretty tidy and nothing bad to say about the service, but...Its 2021. Home Depot had a widely publicized security breach of their customers credit card info a few years back. They finally get some shiny new self checkout kiosks and...they STILL dont support NFC transactions. Its unacceptable. I initially had this at three stars but I got so angry writing it that I took another star away.

They always have what I need. Their app even gives me the location of items I look up. And any of the employees who I pass always offer to help.

My husband and I were getting 23 boxes of tile. We had 5 employees walk by us and none asked if we needed help. 2 of them even walked by and told us toove our cart over so they could get by, I now only shop at Lowes. Would not recommend

Home Depot in Layton Utah is awesome!! I bought close to $1500 of tools and tool box. Megan, in customer service was so incredible to work with on the phone and in person while I was deciding which took box to buy. She was well informed and willing to go out of her way to help. Since then Ive had 2 hand tools fail and each person I dealt with has been awesome!

Of all the Home Depots that Ive been to across Utah and Wyoming, the Layton one is my favorite.

I like Home Depot, but it seems like they cater more to contractors over simple home improvement.

Go to Lowes they have a better a better return policy when your tools break.

Horrible customer service. On multiple occasions. I ordered a rug online to pick up in store. Went to pick it up within hours of it arriving to the store and they gave it away to another customer. Their solution was to then try and track down the person who they gave it to, Lysol the brand new rug and then give it to us, in the middle of a pandemic. After multiple phone calls they finally ordered a new one, promising a discount and store credit. After a total of 5 weeks waiting for the rug it was finally in the store. No discount and said they couldn’t give a gift card. Seriously? After I had talked to 4 managers who each said a different discount. One said they would give us a $40 gift card, while the next person I had to talk to in order to get the gift card said they could discount the rug no more than $1. Then the next manager said they couldn’t give any kind of discount. And the next said maybe they could give us $20. Horrible communication. Horrible customer service.

Steven with the long hair who works in the paint section, is awesome! The nicest most patient person there! He made it a great experience and was so patient in helping us understand what we needed. He deserves a raise, most employees there are so grumpy.

The associate in appliances (I believe her name was Leann) did awesome today selling me a new dishwasher. She approached me and understood my needs/wants for a dishwasher, went through all the options for warranty and install kits, and had me out the door quickly with a delivery date. She was very pleasant to talk to and she made sure I understood what to do if I needed any warranty work done. Thank you Leann!

I had an odd skateboard I though Id play around with. I gave it a new look but I wanted something more functional. But I had no idea how itd actually happen hah..So I went in w/ no leg making experience and no plan but thank God they did.They all were so helpful! Art was an absolute ace with the steel and cut them to perfection! Kade and another woman gave me recommendation after recommendation, they were as dedicated as I was and it showed! Excellent customer service..we worked with CeCe GREAT sales manner. We needed to exchange a variety of items... we were treated awesome. Some prices are higher than the general stores like Target or Walmart. Then, on the flip side, cheaper than the competition.

This location can get pretty busy but they are always well stocked and helpful when you need them.

It seemed like better tile options in this store location than the Sandy or Logan locations. We were pretty excited to find an inexpensive option for our bathrooms that goes well with our wood flooring. If you cant find something in the store to fit your needs you can find a hundreds to thousands more options online. If you have a HUGE remodel and its over $2,000-$2,500 in materials make sure you take it to the Bid Desk for additional discounts on materials. Home Depot is my favorite store EVER! I love walking down every aisle of the store and dreaming of the things my husband and I can create together.

Thanks Emily in customer service you was extremely nice and helpful yesterday. Had the worst experience at the Riverdale store and almost didnt drive here but I really needed a Milwaukee battery charger. Will definitely be done with home depot after yesterday. Id definitely say that employee morale is bad at the Riverdale store as I witnessed it and was subject to poor customer service cause of it.

I love the layton location. Tones of self check outs. Plenty of items for great prices, and there are some rare times of good customer service. The competitor in Clinton is the worst. No help, but for most things just do it yourself. No items available. But as far as homedpot, good business.

I ordered two storage totes online for pick up curbside. they brought my order out rather quickly. i checked before i left and there were no lids delivered. i went inside (despite the fact i had good reason for picking them up curbside. the customer service rep had me identify myself and them she went looking for them. several minutes passed and she came back empty handed. i asked the other cashier if i could get a refund. she agreed. i asked for assistance. as we walked to the car i requested info. i was told i had to bring everything inside. after waiting again inside i was told to go back to my car. the finally after more than 30 minutes they brought my complete order out.i dont recommend the curbside.

I went in looking for a specific paint. Employees just standing around talking i tried to ask for where I would find the paint I needed. Not one of them stopped talking to help me.Normally I really like Home Depot but this particular day they were not on their game.I did finally locate where the paint should have been but it wasnt in stock.
