The product is phenomenal and my fiancé absolutely loves it.I never go to the extent of writing a review, but this was something that really bothered me. While in the store, I didn’t receive any assistance while browsing trying to find the right blanket. Meanwhile, all 5 associates were at the register talking amongst themselves. (I’m sure some were actually working).I would have appreciated a friendly customer service experience for purchasing a Minky Couture blanket. Luckily, while using my phone, it was more beneficial and informative than the staff at hand.

First time here and the associate answered all of my questions and was super helpful! I was very surprised that the Urban ultra plush blankets felt so different from one another though. One felt super thick and the others didnt. I was expecting that they would all feel like the same quality and thickness being in the same category. All in all, it was a great experience and will be back for another one 😊

Great Quality! There needs to be more transparency to customers, in communicating the timeline of arrival when products will arrive. There needs a little more quality control of paid orders placed and actually transferred.

I am in love with these blankets. Actually obsessed might be a better word. I bought the llama blanket for my daughter as a surprise and from there things went down hill. LOL When I went to pick it up from Minky I bought two more. One was a gift for my mom and she loves it! Then ordered three more and when I went to pick those up I bought two more. And I currently have one waiting for me to pick up that I am afraid to because I am sure I will see more that I have to have! Seriously the softest blankets and such good quality and warm. We have them all over our house and even our dogs have their own now.

Great quality blankets! I have 2 for my 2 sons who are 1 and 3. They are attached at the hip to their Bs. These blankets are the softest most luxurious blankets ever and although get pretty pricey there are sales that come and go to make it affordable.

I received a monster blanket for Christmas two years ago and absolutely love it to this day. Today (Christmas Day) I received an adult large size blanket as a gift from my husband. The quality is not nearly as good as my original blanket. It is much thinner and, both having polka dots, you can tell how much thinner the new one is by how much more the light comes through dots in the new blanket than the older one. The feel if the new blanket is soft but nowhere near as thick. My original blanket has no flaws, but the new one has a very noticeable white flaw on one corner of the black fabric plus an entire side of the blanket has an obvious white line down the edge in the black where it apparently wasn’t sewn quite right. These are flaws you cannot see when purchasing since the blankets are rolled up but only after opening them. For the price, these should be perfect or nearly perfect. I’m very disappointed and feel my husband paid way too much for what was meant to be a special gift that turned out to be much lower than our expectations. It sounds like they won’t do a return or exchange without it being in the original package with tag (which doesn’t give you the opportunity to look at it!) though I have the packaging and his receipt. Kind of a downer on Christmas...NOTE: I am happy to say that the Layton, UT store was able to exchange my blanket for me. They could see it was flawed and made arrangements for a replacement. My thanks to Claire and Kane (I hope I spelled your names correctly) for your help. I still believe the quality is not what it was two years ago which is very evident putting my new blanket next to my older one. I’m giving 5 stars because of the courtesy I received taking care of my exchange. I also could feel the lack of attention to in-store customers by many employees in the store that other customers have commented on. When I went in for the exchange several employees were wrapping blankets on a back counter while talking and laughing (there were three of them), as many people were wandering the floor, some seemingly looking for help.

I have bought a few blankets from Minky Couture before and love them so I decided to buy my daughter one as part of her graduation gift. The package was lost by the carrier and never delivered. After several attempts of trying to communicate with the carrier to locate the package and having no success, Minky sent a replacement at no charge. Jill was AMAZING to work with and provided excellence customer service. Will definitely be buying more blankets. Thank you!!!

Went into the store in Layton, Utah . I loved the fact that they were made in the USA. I got my blanket back to the hotel room as I was visiting my son at Hill airforce base and saw the tag said assembled in China which is the same as made in china . My daughter in law have had her blanket for a few years and her one is better fabric and thicker and does not say assembled in china very disappointed.

I got the most expensive blanket, a grande urban. After washing it I noticed the layers were coming apart at the seams in several parts, and there was a crinkly trash-like plastic sewn into the blanket. Really? For $300?? What a rip, pun intended!Not not NOT worth it. I am much happier purchasing blankets from Costco.

As amazing as these blankets are, dont let the sales fool you...buy one get one for $1... Youre really just getting two blankets at half price, which is almost the amount they offer with there consistent 45% off coupon in the town magazines or on social media!! And... coincidence that cool designs and new collections come out the day after a BIG SALE!... I think not...maybe put the new stuff in the sale and be nice for those of us buying your expensive blankets consistently or even not consistently!!

I have several blankets throughout my home given as gifts from my daughter. I am from California and finally made it in to your beautiful store in Layton. I was beyond excited to finally see for myself first in person and I was looking forward to making a purchase. We walked in and we were barely greeted by one of the three employees. They didn’t offer to say, if you have any questions or need any help please let us know. Did not tell us it was Christmas in August we figured this out on our own. If we had questions he would quietly answer. Bottom line I was so disappointed not in your product but by your unfriendly unhelpful staff. When we left I told them loudly have a great day and thank you!!! They should have told us that and thanked us for coming in and have a great day! Maybe friendly and helpful customer service is not important since your beautiful blankets sell themselves!!!

They say “ya we know, we are working on it” so in the mean time they are selling tags that just shouldn’t look that way when you spend $300 on a blanket. She told me that she could send me a new one but that it would probably do the same thing. Wow!! Don’t keep selling something if you are aware of an issue. That’s just not right.

If youre wondering if these blankets are worth the asking price...yes, they are. Read on for more...If youre a family on a very tight budget looking for a gift, I would say perhaps not. Theyre very nice, but I cant even imagine getting one of these growing up. I would feel awful if I say...spilled cereal on these.However, these blankets are extremely comfy and warm enough for Utahs winters. My wife and I both love ours.Inside, the store has different patterns and such in all kinds of sizes, and they do custom work too. The air has a sort of stiff feel to it (I feel underdressed going in), but the employees have always been friendly and helpful.They also have an online store, but in this case, touching is believing.

Went to this store at 6pm today and they were apparently closed. Door hours said they should be open and employees were inside, but the doors were locked and the lights were dim.

Very nice store! Everything is well organized, the ladies working there are very nice, and their blankets are crazy-soft!! If you havent picked up one of them yet... ya better grab one for mom, on mothers day! Itll be the best gift in quite a while for her! My good friend and I were in this store on August 12, 2019 1:33 pm. We came in the store, walked the entire store with 2 employees at the counter. One lady with dark hair past us twice in the room where the plaid and military blankets were and we were NEVER acknowledged! Not once! I don’t get out much due to recent major back surgery and am in a back brace walking with a cane! This outing to the Layton Minky Couture was more than disappointing ☹️. On the bright side the Ladies at the South Ogden Location are MORE than accommodating!

My husband and I had ordered 3 blankets this last week (one for our daughter too) and were so excited for them to arrive. We had taken a leap to spoil ourselves a little when we saw a sale that was going on. We loved the blankets when they arrived however 2 of the 3 were shedding. I had read many reviews and had only seen shedding as a complaint once maybe. I figured this was just a random chance defect (which can happen with anything) I contacted minky via email right away. Jill was so helpful in accessing the situation and helping with replacement blankets. I would 100% recommend Minky to anyone after having such great service.

I ordered a blanket in store in September for a birthday gift, they told me 5/7 days to get it, if not sooner. I called a little over a week later and was told they didn’t have any actually made so they would have to make it. I was devastated as now I would be missing the birthday. I called two weeks later because I still hadn’t heard from them and they told me it wasn’t done yet but it would be soon and they would call me. This went on every 7/10 days where I would call and I would get the same run around. It’s now the middle of November and still no blanket. I was sent to their customer service line this time (didn’t know that was a thing) and was told my order was never actually placed even though I paid back in September. So now I have to wait again for the blanket to be made. What?? How did no one know every time I called an order was never actually placed?? They reassured me every phone call they were working on it. I am absolutely disappointed (And so is my little girl because her birthday was over a month ago) and we still have to wait who knows how long to get the blanket....Update: Minky fixed the issue. Still sad this happened but they were kind in resolving the problem.

My husband and I were given a Minky Couture blanket when my son was born as a gift. He absolutely loves the blanket so much he cant sleep without it. So we decided to buy another one for him and one for myself. However the new ones must be a newer cheaper fabric, because the amount of shed that comes off the blankets make them unusable. My son wakes up covered! Ive tried to wash them multiple times to try and make it better without success!

Really great products and the employees are usually pretty friendly. I just wish they had a restroom for customers, especially with the prices they are charging.

The Hospital gave my daughter a Minky blanket when she was born. It is seriously the most perfect blanket for babies. It’s softness was perfect on her delicate skin, resulting in little to no rash on her soft newborn cheeks. The weight of the blanket made her feel secure and warm even without me holding her, which helped her sleep better (resulting in me sleeping better). I highly recommend these blankets. Even us adults need the feeling of warmth and security and even though it’s “just” a blanket, it’s perfect for that feeling alone.

Ive ordered blankets online and in store,the blankets are always a hit whether Im giving them as a gift, or decorating my home. They are as beautiful as they are amazingly comfortable. The people are so nice as well, I couldnt ask for more. And on top of it, the promotions they give their customers is second to none. Thank you Minky Couture, my family and friends love you. P.S. I am completely unimpressed with the customer service I have received from your company. I will NEVER buy from you again! My husband got me a blanket for Mother’s Day and it was a size bigger than I was hoping for. He tried to exchange it a few days after Mother’s Day and they were not accepting returns at that time because of COVID they did talk him into buying the blanket size I wanted with the promise that he could return the first at a later date. He later tried to return the first now that they are accepting returns and they told him he could no longer return the original blanket because it had passed the small window of time that they were accepting returns. This is completely ridiculous since he was never told when they would again be accepting returns because of COVID. You should make a few exceptions and be a little more compassionate at this crazy time right now. You have lost this customer!

We all love them so much so that we personalized some blankets for our German relatives and it was a big it. Some thing beautifully made from America, they said. I recently purchased three blankets from Minky. The first two I purchased in the Layton store and had good customer service and loved the product. The third I decided to purchase online for a birthday gift for my niece. I specifically ordered a blanket from the ship within 24 hours section so she would receive it before her birthday. I was very disappointed when it took over 48 hours for the blanket to ship. I called customer service to let them know and the situation became even more frustrating. I tried to let the customer service agent on the other end of the line know my frustration with my product shipping so late. She argued with me saying that the 24 hour section was not set up until the day after I ordered. I explained to her that I specifically ordered that blanket from that section so it would get there in time. If it was not for that 24 hour section I would have chosen another blanket. The “customer service” agent continually argued with me, would not listen to what I had to say, and resolved nothing. If it were not for the wonderful blankets I would have scored Minky even lower. Great blankets, absolutely terrible customer service.

There really arent enough words in the English language to describe Minky blankets. They are SO cute and literally stay soft FOREVER. Theyre expensive but if youre looking to treat yourself or give an awesome gift, you wont regret choosing Minky Couture. The employees are nicer and more helpful at the Ogden Store.But, if you dont care and you just want a blanket, then I dont think it would matter which store you shop at.Great quality blankets, kind of pricey, but I think they are worth it.

Every interaction or lack of interaction has been horrible. First visit to the store in the fall, and my existence wasn’t acknowledged, but the girls working there did have a great time talking to each other. Contacted customer service about picking up an online order in store like my friend did, I was flat out lied to that it wasn’t an option, as I explained why I asked, the associate back peddled and then was willing to go over the option,. After being lied to, I didn’t pursue things farther. Then my order wasn’t filled in a timely manner. Online help then ignored my email after requesting a refund due to all of the negative experience with every associate I interacted with poor attitude. Then when I went to pick up my refund, they refused to give me cash even though the funds had cleared my account long before. When I tried getting information on who chooses to not allow a cash refund they didn’t want to tell me. Happy to say, I have since purchased a full price product that has a superior quality, and I received that blanket before my refund from these rude people came through. There is way better out there all around.

We love our Minky blankets at our house! We have kept the baby ones, even though everyone is too big for them, they make great lap blankets now! The big ones that we have, we share while watching movies, & I sleep with mine every night! The weight of a Minky is perfect & they are sooooooo soft! Minky has such beautiful designs & they are made so very well! I wash them & then lay them over chairs to dry. At first I was concerned that with how heavy duty they are, they would take forever to dry & might start to smell bad... that is not the case! They dry quickly & do not lose their color with washing! I love that Minky blankets keep their shape when washed (some blankets get all crazy when washed & it bugs me)! The staff has always been beyond nice & helpful! The only thing thats hard with Minky..... to choose which one you want!

When I first heard of Minky Blankets I was a little shocked at the price.....but once I felt one on my cheek, everyone in my family now has 2!!! One to sleep with and one for lounging or travel. Sensory overload in a great way. The more you look at the gorgeous blankets, patterns and sizes, the more you become confused. Stick with your first gut reaction. I bought one for myself and gave my daughter a $100 gift card so she can choose one to her liking. A win-win when purchasing gifts for that special person. My nine-year-old granddaughter has one as well, and she cannot part with it.

This store is beautiful and those assisting us could not have been more helpful! It was decorated so lovely for Christmas. I wanted to sit and just enjoy the atmosphere. The glistening chandler is spectacular! I’ll be back for sure and will tell all my friends about it!
