Great quality clothes for excellent prices! The store near us closed a year ago. Went to this one, having forgotten the great deals we used to seek out. We found lots of great school clothes my kids loved and were prepared to spend a few hundred dollars. At check-out, we received a surprise coupon and only spent $150😃

Had to pick up a on line order. Tony working the counter was great. Pleasant experience.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Clothes are always good quality at a fair price.

The customer service at this location is incredible. I actually had a horrible experience at the Riverdale location and the manager Hillary from the Layton store emailed me and was more than accommodating. I sadly won’t be back to the Riverdale location but the Layton location has a customer for life.

Brought a bunch of my clothes here because their sales and deals are usually good. I know a lot of people are leaving the JCP fandom and whatnot but I still stick around. To me their clothes are great and they offer them pretty well, sometimes it CAN get pricey but with the offers and deals they send out you can level that out pretty easily.

Lacking product knowledge and basic customer service skills. It was as if ring it, bag it, next pick-up my pay check. Never did any suggestive selling at all. No wonder your business is failing!

Tony was extremely unhelpful and impatient. One of the worst customer service experiences I have had. I just tried picking up an order and Tony kept rolling his eyes at me. Dude needs to learn some patience or be transferred to somewhere where he doesn’t have to interact with people asking simple questions

There is a guy there named Tony, he keeps on telling me and my friends to only shop in the big and tall section, we are insulted and very disappointed, never shopping there again.

Poorest choices for dresses, I have seen in years. The womens dept looked like a Senior Citizen Center dress shop. (No offense to Senior Citizens. Yall deserve BETTER).The girls dept dresses were more tunic, than dresses. My daughters didnt need to raise their arms, to check for length. They would have been arrested!!No wonder JCP is going under. 10xs the price of WAL-MART, But same quality clothing.Truly disappointing and embarrassing.

Sold out of a huge majority of items. Minimal selection to choose from. Better shopping can be done online for a certain amount delivered to your doorstep. Mostly up kept well. No real engagement from the staff; its a quick walk through to the mall or to borrow the restroom. Think its possible they were low on variety due to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

This store had clothes which is the only reason why I rated it 2 stars ...but it is extremely small compared to other JCPenney stores Ive shopped at out of the state. Half the store was also very dim. It was not very attractive going in lol

Love me some JCPenney. Got a deal today on the most amazing men’s cologne for my husband today. I think it’s more for me then for him holy moly this stuff is great. Ladies one smell of this will light the fire in you so I highly recommend you go get some Mont Blanc Legend but make sure he only wears it when he is with you! Besides Sauvage which does pretty much the same thing I believe Mont Blanc is my new favorite. He is dousing himself in it now because he knows what it does to me LOL. Your welcome!

Prices are expensive for the quality of clothes I believe. Went to the jewelry section 15 minutes or so before the store closed. But was rushed the whole time. We had another question but the girl seemed annoyed we were there a few minutes before closing. She had to whisper to her other coworker about them being closed in a few minutes. I would have been fine coming back the next day to get help cause I was there before closing. But left annoyed at the un professional customer service.

I know that its a clothes store, but even then, everything is super expensive. Its like paying Barneys prices for Walmart clothes. Even if you have the money to not care, I still wouldnt recommend it. The only reason i gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because they tend to make things really cheap when it goes on sale.

Two stars is EXTREMELY generous. Terrible service, terrible selection, and terrible experience. We waited for 20 minutes because the cashier was on her phone. Only giving the second star because I did find a hoodie I liked

The employees were rude enough in the store that multiple people left without making purchases after standing in line. I was one of them. There is no need to be a snotty as they were being.

Andrina was super helpful and very nice she helped me find what I needed and helped me find the sizes that I needed and she also introduced me to the JCPenney app! she was very professional and I will definitely tell my friends and family to come to this location

Ive been shopping at JCPenney for 55 years. My great-grandmother shopped at JCPenney I dont know whenever they opened and she was born in 1896. Their clothes and jewelry have been and are always excellent quality! They always take excellent care of me, which is a good thing because today I had to return about 15 shirts I bought for myself. These shirts were too big, the staff got me in and out with no trouble! Their 90-day return policy is excellent and totally helped me out!!!

JCPenney’s goes above and beyond with their customer service skills. All employees are always willing to help you no matter what your needs are.

They dont have as much stuff as they use to, and we were told they are not closing because the mall renegotiated their contract.

Over priced and zero fashion

They have a great selection of clothes, shoes, jewelry and lounge wear. I gave them 3 stars because the employees never ask if you need help, or even act like they want to be at work. I guess its not that big of a deal, since you are at the mall and can walk out of the store and find clothes in plenty of other stores.

JCPenny decided to ban Mike Lindells My Pillow. I will not shop there again.

I dealt with Sapphire the other night and she was amazing! Her customer service was above and beyond great. I was very happy shopping here after dealing with her. It would be a wonderful world if every person I dealt with each day was like her. She really went the extra mile to help me and it was amazing!

The qualitys there and the prices are fair!

Store is always very clean & well organized! Staff are super friendly and helpful! Theyve got a great selection of everything between big name brands (Nike, Under Armor, etc) to their store branded things. The only downfall is their prices are borderline outrageous! A simple dress shirt here is around $45, when I can get the exact same shirt from Wal-Mart or Ross for less than $10!

I walked through looking for good sales. I think the sale prices are actually normal prices meant to trick the public. I use to buy hats here. As of late, the hats at this store are always thrown on a shelf in a disorganized way. They are way over priced, and the quality and style have been abandoned. I like the kitchen area. Those prices seem reasonable. The kids toy section features disney, that is awesome. My wife likes the makeup section. They also have some fun novelty items that I think are interesting and cool.

Really love the prices on most of their products. But waiting in line for that amount of time is absurd for the returning merchandise are asking a question. I wouldnt trust JC Penney online either. They just seem to not get it right. The staff was super friendly though.

I always have good experiences here and typically find several good deals as well. The store is nice and well organized. I am glad to have Pennys around, especially as other retailers have struggled (Sears comes to mind).

Found a pair of slacks on sale that were on sale for 36$, so I was excited. Took them to the register and they rung up for 85$. When I explained that they were directly below the sale sign, the same brand and in the same pile together, she walked over and said I am sorry the sale is only on slacks originally for 70.. Why are they all mixed together I ask? I dont know sir, do you want them for 85$?. I ask if they are going to honor the sale price since they are all together? No sir I cannot do that, so I walked away and wont be going back. So disappointing.

I like JCPenney... to a point. I feel like they could do a lot better for their womens plus size clothing. The styles they have are so outdated. Sometimes I wonder if they pick the cheapest ugliest fabrics and styles to cut costs. I feel frumpy and ugly in their clothes. They need to have much more flattering styles. Its like they are afraid to flatter the plus size body. On a rare occurrence I can find a shirt or skirt I like. But I usually only find jewelry or other accessories here. They could do better.

I went because of advertised sales. The store was messy and crowded. People pulled clothes from the selves and threw them back. It was nearly impossible to shop. I didnt see any associates trying to restore order. To be clear I didnt interact with any associates. No one to answer questions or anything. The clothes were not worth the full price and some not even worth the sale price. Poor craftsmanship and style. Not impressed.

I want to thank the associate Flora last night for going the extra mile to get my watch fixed. She brought me up stairs to Times Ticking, paid for it out of her own pocket and the young man fixed it. Thank you so much Flora!!!

Tried to go shopping for pants today. Everything was completely unorganized it was impossible to find my size. No wonder why its becoming easier to ditch the malls and do all shopping online.

Had a jewelry repair and they told me it would be 4 weeks. So I waited, then a week after it was supposed to be due and i still didnt receive a call, I called the jewelry department and didnt get a answer then called the store and didnt get a answer. Is no one working there?

Went the other day to buy some shoes and got a good deal on them. The only thing I dont like is that they push the credit card to much you say no and they just keep pushing like I said no to the credit card already I dont care how much it would be if I did the credit card and got discount.

JCPenney is a good place to find reasonably priced dress shirts, pants and shoes for men. They also have a good selection of womens work outfits.

Sad to see this store go out of business. Its been go-to for years.

Very nice. The staff wasnt very outgoing. I walked past approximately 6 different reps with hardly a glance from them. One of them was a gentleman who appeared to be upper management via the conversation and interaction edith the sales associates. When I lingered in the Sephoria area I was finally acknowledged and assisted. Still a great store. Apparently you need to ask for assistance instead of being offered it.

They obviously marked items up before putting so called clearance prIve on them.

The current sale is really wonderful. Great prices on good stuff.

I don’t like how some managers are treating their employees there it’s unfair to them as I see them work hard and try to please the customers but especially the manager that always wear dresses that somewhat tight on her body always seem to discourage the employees.One time I overheard the employees were stressing out because the manager on the walkie told them that’s no excuse to get icaps whatever that is as they told her it was online orders that were returns mostly. I often come to Jcpenny to get some good sales but I always seem to see some employees discourage or look disappointed or sometimes getting rude remarks from that lady with dresses.So please have a talk with her tell her to change and not so be rude towards her employees courage not discourage it’s not the first time I have seen that actions towards to her employees I’m surprised that she’s not fired.
