Is the true fifties Diner experience -- Like Mels from Ameeican Graffitie or the Frozen Palace in Grease -- its very nice to have in a time where true diners are disappearing -- It is complete with checkerboard floor lighted juke box playing period correct music -- The staff was one of the most friendly and engaging Ive have run across in quite a while -- Burgers Hot dogs and other traditional diner fare along with daily blue plate specials -- Meatloaf was todays - Burger and corn nuggets were out of this world Daddy-O -- I highly recommend this place If your down by Hogh Rock Lake --- Bring your classic car and leather jacket-- You just might see the T-Birds and Pink Ladies here -- The only think missing is James Dean El is and Marylin sitting at the bar -- Groovy

Food was good. Wait staff acted like they would rather be anywhere else. I wish sandwiches came with a side. You have to purchases large side that is more than 3 people could eat. For a hot dog, hamburger fries, onion rings and drinks it was well over $20.
Terrific breakfast in a wonderful 60s decor. Pity not open for breakfast except weekends. Clean, friendly, fair price. Will go back often.

I really enjoyed my visit to this place and I am planning on going back. I had the Hamburger Steak with okra and squash. My husband had Hamburger Steak, salad, and orka . Our Daughter and Son-in-law had burger baskets, and our friends had burger baskets. The food is good, they have desserts, and a drive through window. The waitress staff worked well together taking care of everyone. They are friendly and quick service. They even have a burger with Conrad and Hinkle Pimento Cheese on it, that will be my next visit.

They have drive thru and curbside pickup, which I thought would be great during the pandemic. I pull up behind another vehicle at the drive thru and find the employee handing out food while not wearing a mask. Im pretty sure this is breaking guidelines or laws for restaurants, and is also concerning when NC covid numbers are peaking right now...

Ive only had one bad experience here which was yesterday. I got the Martane (idk if thats the correct spelling) burger and so did my aunt. Both burned. My uncle also got a burger. It was also burned. My grandmother didnt like her food. Any other time we have been there it was amazing though! They have AMAZING cheese fries!!

Food is always good here. They have a banana split thats ridiculous, very good shakes, and ice cream. The only con would be the service. There are 2 ladies that do a wonderful job here. The others not so much, and this is from a lot of experience here. Besides that the atmosphere is fun, and reccomend giving them a try.
Our go to place for breakfast out when staying at our place at the lake. Love the retro design. Occasionally we will have lunch or dinner. Basically it is a hot dog and hamburger kind of place. Reasonable prices and great service
GOOD CAFE’ - lots of menu items to choose from and food is really good. Portion size was reasonable. Staff was friendly and on our visit (Mother’s Day morning) they handed out long stem 🌹roses to the mother’s. Such a sweet gesture an very much appreciated.. Stop by if you’re traveling NC HWY 8 toward High Rock Lake.. You can love it too.. :-)
If you are into good food with an old school vibe this is the place for you. Any of the burger baskets are good choices because you cant go wrong. The taco burger or chacha are personal favorites. You can pair it with fries or tots and finish it off with a root beer float. Good atmosphere and amazing staff a good place for the family for any occasion.
My wife and I visited here for the 1st time today. The atmosphere was great, as was the food. The tables could be cleaned off a little faster, but that doesnt make me see the restaurant as any less. Will definitely be coming back!

When you walk in the door you are immediately transported back to the 60s with the decor. First time eating here and it was delicious! Fast service and excellent food. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger which they put two pieces of cheese and the bacon is woven so it doesnt slide off when you take a bite. I will be a regular customer for sure!
Never had a bad experience here. Its always hot. It always tastes amazing. Staff is super friendly. Do not get confused by fast food and a diner. This place looks to order so everything is fresh. A small wait is worth it completely . 10/10 A true gem to Lexington.
Good selection, friendly staff. My chicken sandwich was rubbery once, but amazing another time. Decent burgers, too. My kiddos like the star shaped tater tots in place of fries. :) Will visit again.

It would be really nice if they could answer the phone....but guess what?? It doesn’t matter now bc I WONT ever call back. This is why they have lost their business and can’t stay open Monday and Tuesdays...no attentiveness..always have to call 10 times to get someone to answer since the first day! You think they would fix this! They say it’s “phone problems“ lol

I had the chuckwagon sandwich with tots and tea and it was delicious! My daughter had cheese fries with bacon and that could be improved the liquid cheddar cheese so it does not stick to the paper. Over all everything was great, service also! 😊

Wife,and family have been there several times, always good. Except the Hot Dog, did not care for...but they have a different foot long, I will try later. Burgers, great, chicken, great, Hamberger steak, great...good tea...great service too, good prices...will not go wrong giving them a try...stop in soon!

This Restaurant is perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner! My Husband eats breakfast their every morning just about (Which it’s close to High Rock Lake) But he loves it! The only thing I didn’t like was the shredded hash browns, they wasn’t all the way cooked inside but the Star Hash-browns is way better than the shredded but I just like cheese on my hash-browns but I eat the star ones now since I tried my husband’s but this is 1 Of the BEST BREAKFAST Restaurant’s around near High Rock ♥️💯

You know the food was good.Now the staff well.First I sat down me and the daughter ordered our drinks. Dad came in 10 minutes later he ordered his drink. Yep more tables came in and say down. They got their drinks and food at the same time as we got our drinks. It too one hour and two minutes to get our food.They blamed it on a cook and waitress not showing up for work. Mind you this place has ten or so tables and 3 waitresses. Drinks got refilled after we finished eating.Well good was good
Atmosphere was great but the service was poor as well as how long it took to get food. I understand they are a newer restaurant but as a former manager of a restaurant, it should not take 45 minutes to get a burger and some chicken tenders. Also we noticed several servers on their phones right there in front of the customers and we only saw one person in the kitchen wearing gloves. Saw multiple grill cooks touching the food with their hands, touching their face/clothing and then touching the food again.

Take a step back in time at the old 64 Diner. They have a great selection of burgers and sandwiches, our kids love the root beer and Coke floats. Great decor, service and food!

This diner is a true hidden gem to Lexington! The staff is amazing, the food is excellent and the service is just outstanding. This diner is the perfect definition of retro with its decorations and it’s new school style juke box! I am just in love with this little diner! Their only probalem now is that they don’t have a big enough building for all their loyal customers! 😂
