My emissions control system failed on my 1999 Ranger, resulting with the activation of check engine warnings and having it eventually dying on the roadside. I was able to schedule an immediate tow to Apitz and get my truck serviced quickly. The repair work amounted to a relatively minor obstruction of a sensor, and I was grateful for the honest, knowledgeable, and efficient service which they rendered on my behalf.

Apitz level of professionalism was beyond my experience with other garages. They were honest about my repair and did not try to upgrade work.In my case, 99 dodge 1500, oil pressure drop to zero at hot ideal.Initial thought was sensor. Changed out sensor three times, three brands, all failed to correct issue.Final diagnosis was slug in oil pan, when oil is heated up slug clogs oil pump screen.Cost of repair would exceed the value of the truck.The sales staff and mechanic were super good at explaining this.Thanks guys, I will definitely use these guys in the future.

It was easy to schedule service on-line, the communication and service was excellent. I needed additional repairs and the service manager helped me prioritize what needed to be done right away and what could wait a month or two.

There employees are hand picked specialist, and are constantly being trained and updated to keep up with the ever changing computers that have become a constant in our lives. Everyone at the front desk knows my name, and are very personable. I dont like it when something is wrong with my vehicle because I know its going to hit my wallet hard, I like to talk with the guys at Apitz, I always feel that they have mybest interest in mind, if it is not an emergency, and the problem wont cause more damage. While no one wants to pay a lot of money for car repairs...Am I right? Last week my car broke down. I called Apitz and they gave me a tow company number. The tow guy was great. Apitz was able to diagnosis the problem before end of day and gave an estimate. They ended up finding more issues and (I suspected it may happen) and wasnt taken by surprise when I received the new quote. My car hasnt driven this well in a long time...and they even fixed the rattling heat plate because I am not hearing it anymore. I will definitely go back. Super friendly staff.

We lived near Apitz for 11 years and they were the only garage we would use. I tried a few others but always went back to Apitz. They did great work, were very courteous, and always tried to find the best solutions for you. They offered loaner cars if I was in a pinch. They would shuffle things around if I was in a time crunch. Finally, I took both cars in to get serviced before we moved to fix some problems i had been procrastinating on because of the price. I was going to have an expensive 2 day job done on my Acadia. After a few hours of having the car they called me and asked if I wanted them to do the job a lot cheaper. Of course I said yes and they did the job for half the estimated cost. At the end of the day the most important commodity with a garage is trust and Apitz has earned mine many times over. Comfortable waiing area where Ive been able to work while I wait.Recently brought an older truck in that I was looking to buy. They highlighted a few items that I wouldnt have noticed. Well worth the $70.I also like the fact that theyve always got some older classic/muscle cars in their shop. People that have those cars are particular about the service they get. Ive been coming here for close to 30 years I believe. Always great service with competitive prices but the best features I enjoy here is the closeness to my home and the quick turnarounds. For example a couple weeks ago I stopped at 6:30 am on a Monday without an appointment to see if I can get my van new brakes and a coil spring. I asked if it could be done before 3 pm the next day. They got it done before noon the next day! You have to put your trust in someone and for almost three decades its been the guys at Apitz for my family.

Drove car to East coast and put over 4,300 miles on a two week trip. No leaks, heating system works fine. Plenty of heat when needed.

My husband and I moved to Lino Lakes in the early 80s. We started going to Apitz soon after. Stan & Dan became our keepers of the cars as at one time we had 6 vehicles to service. If there was an issue (the nightmare of the gray Horizon which would stop randomly anywhere it wanted to) they kept trying until it was resolved. My husband went home to heaven so I depend on them even more now. I drive from Coon Rapids but I wouldnt go anywhere else.

During an oil change, your mechanics were able to find a potential upgrade for my ESC indicator. At this point, the ESC is working in conjunction with ABS actions. So all is good.

Once we found Apitz, we dont trust our ride to anyone else. Best service! Not open on the weekend but you can take your car in after work and get it back by midnight. Thats convenient! And they will give you a ride. I recommend them to everyone I know.

They did $320 worth of work without authorization, in fact I specifically asked them not to. Lied to meCar was running poorly, possibly reason to junk it. I asked them to figure out the problem, and asked them not to do the other work I requested(oil change and brake inspection) until after the main problem was diagnosed. They did both before diagnosing the problem. They lied and told me they had to do the oil change to “get the pressure up” in order to diagnose the problem. That’s when I COMPLETELY lost trust. Oh, and they told me I need all 4 calipers and rotors and brake pads for brakes. $1500+ didn’t even want to try to save anything, just said it was rusty.

We have brought our truck to Apitz twice now. Both times we have had excellent costumer service! They are prompt with getting answers and fix the problem in a timely fashion. They are great to work with and will continue to keep our business!

Apitz did an unexpected turn for me. I dont usually write ratings. I returned to them with a leaking water pump they replaced 2 years earlier (but more than 12,000 miles) and asked if there was any consideration for getting such a short run out of the $500 job. They went to bat for me with the part supplier and did the work while also replacing a thermostat no charge. Saved me over $500 when all I hoped for was maybe 10% off. Really above and beyond expectations.
