We purchased a Pre-owned Mazda from Basil Toyota this past weekend. It was the least stressful vehicle purchase Ive ever had.We nearly left 10 seconds after walking in, they were very busy, however Mick (Sales Manager) promptly greeted us, informed us that they were short-handed and busier than anticipated. I told him that we had an appointment with Jennifer to test drive a Mazda. Mick said Jennifer was busy but she told him we were coming so he had the vehicle already up front waiting for us. I was impressed.Mick was waiting on us when we returned. We went in, got comfortable, something to drink, and began negotiating. Everyone knows that COVID has created an imbalance between availability and demand thus decreasing the buyers purchasing power. I was sure we were going to pay too much but the negotiating went very smoothly and we arrived at a price I was happy with. Maybe dealing with the Sales Manager directly had something to do with it. Regardless of the reason, my point is, I did not feel ripped off.I saw signs that advertised same day delivery but it was after 3 PM on a Saturday afternoon and they close at 5, I did not expect to bring the vehicle home until monday. I was shocked when Mick told us the vehicle was already in the detail shop so we could take it home today.The rest of the process took every minute of the remaining 2 hours, considering how busy they were and the fact that they sold more than 25 vehicles that day, Im not complaining.As we were driving away in our new Mazda My wife commented that we never did get to meet Jennifer, no matter, she did her job. She got us in the door.When we come back for our free oil change Ill have a chance to check out if the service is as good as the sales department. Ill update if its not, but I doubt it.

This was a very smooth buying experience. Once I settled on a specific model, it took just two quick phone calls to figure out numbers and financing. Everyone I spoke with was super friendly and helpful. Really appreciated being able to get as much out of the way over the phone, which sped things up when picking up the car.

I had no experience with a hybrid, but Tim explained it very well and I decided to choose that one.Picking up the car this morning went very smoothly. The paperwork was handled efficiently. When the car was ready, Tim spent time explaining all the many features of this model and how they worked. There are a number of new features that I did not have before, but I feel very comfortable with them after his explanations and demonstrations.The entire car-buying and delivery process went very smoothly, and Tim Secrist is a top-rate sales person.

Bought my Sienna in July. Was kind of urgent as my other vehicle was beginning to give me problems. My salesman, Mike Otwell, was a great asset in getting me into the vehicle I not only wanted, but needed. We ended up taking it on our family vacation less than a week later. It’s been great.

We were on vacation near Niagara Falls, on Saturday, ready to drive home when the check engine light with the dreaded “triangle of death”. They agreed to see us immediately. They could easily have hit us with an expensive diagnostic. Instead, Shannon, he knew her stuff, explained that the triangle wasn’t flashing so it was safe to drive home. First class people.

This was my youngest son’s first time buying a car from a dealership, the whole process was a great experience for him. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family.

My visit to Basil Toyota brought back memories of the old days when I used to bring my car in for NY state inspection. You drive in and say, “I have an appointment to get my car inspected. “ you sit in the waiting room for about 1/2 hour when the service manager comes in to give you the hard sell on all the maintenance your vehicle needs to keep you from braking down in a month if you don’t get it done right away.This visit was very similar. I came in for an oil change. Thinking about a fifty dollar bill should take care of it. Before I could hand my keys over to the service associate, they informed me my brake fluid was way overdue to be flushed. Your brake system is a very important component to operating your car. So, my 40 years of maintenance background kicked in and I processed the importance of preventative maintenance to prolong the life of the vehicle. The $129 brake flush and $50 oil change would give useful longevity to my car. I agreed to have the work done. Off to the waiting room I go. Now they have the technicians text you with other items they find wrong with car. Surprise, my text comes in that my battery has failed the test and $50 will fix the problem. You push a couple buttons to figure if you agree to the estimate and the next thing you get on your phone is a bill for $410. So the original $180 oil change & brake fluid flush turns into $410 to add a battery! WOW! Talk about sticker shock!!Thanks for the memories, but I don’t think I’ll be back!

She was very timely, professional and responsive.Other dealerships, not so much. One dragged on a search for a particular model almost a week, took our deposit though, just very slow on the follow thru. Another basically said the vehicle we wanted would have to be ordered from the factory, apparently did not want to locate from another dealership, and said we should make an appointment. Basil had inventory on the lot and they were spot on.Scott was patient, professional, clear with explanations and has had great follow through over the past month since our purchase offering to answer or address any questions or concerns. My car is always fixed on time. I have a problem with the mechanics leaving oil Smudges in my car. This happens 98% of the time. I keep my car clean and my inside is light material and that needs to be addressed. Basil always keep their word when something is addressed. I was told to come back on Monday so they can steam clean the inside. The mechanics need to put something on the seats when they get into your car. I Thank You for your great maintenance.

Went in for my 5,000 mile service and a software update on my radio. I was there for about an hour so not to long of a wait. I’ll get all my Toyota Care covered services and factory warranty work done here. Once my factory warranty expires then not a chance because dealership labor rates are insane. But for the service I had done today, I have no complaints.

Awful experience trying to lease a truck here. The sales guy was great but his boss who was making the deals was horrible. He wanted to give me 3k less for my vehicle than KBB and when I showed him the post from Toyotas website about a lease deal he told me it was for a lower model. Even though their website advertised the car as being applicable and Toyotas website did as well. He was trying to pull a fast one on me and charge me more for the lease. Real Old School used car salesman vibes. I havent had an experience like that in a long time. Go somewhere else for your Toyota.

Was at the service department with my 2018 Kia Soul, as I had become dissatisfied with the service I received at the Kia dealer. Was able to get an appointment for the next day, and was satisfied with the explanation I was given regarding exactly what work needed to be done on my car and why, and what my options were. That work was done while I waited, and the car feels new again. At no time did I feel like I was being up-sold.

Worst car buying experience ever. The dealer failed multiple times to send over all of the correct documents needed to my bank to process the loan. Then a few days after the vehicle purchase was finally finalized they told me I still owe over a thousand dollars because they made a mistake on the taxes calculated. Toyota is great, but this dealership is not. 👎

The car is great in the process was easy I even threw a couple curves at them unintentionally and Mark was excellent at problem-solving. A great experience overall highly recommend it

Everyone was great, worked with me on the deal. Unfortunately its a bad time to buy a car, limited availability and chips that doesnt allow wiggle room on vehicle price. Yet they did work with me on my trade in which still had payments on it so I wasnt underwaterFinance specialist worked amazingly for me, because I had a very good knowledge on whats necessary and not.Only negative aspect I had was my sales person had very little knowledge of my cars new advanced infotainment console. He did get basics set, then off I went. Amen to a littoral book 📖 on the system which will be great toilet reading, LoL.

By far the best buying experience we have ever had. We ordered a 2021 Sienna that was delayed from another dealership and wouldn’t be available for our family road trip as planned. Basil had the exact model we wanted. Tyler assisted with a virtual tour of the car as we are located out of state. He was amazing at demonstrating the features and really knew what would speak to us as he has a little one, too. There was no haggling and annoying sales process. He gave us the price we were comfortable with, assisted with warranties that were priced far lower than what Toyota charges in our state and was available and helpful for start to end. I am still in disbelief how easy this process was and recommend Basil (especially Tyler) to anyone uncertain about buying from them. Even after we had paid and there was a couple weeks between being picked up, Tyler went back and confirmed feature (took pictures), threw in Amazon boxes we had shipped to the dealership before delivery and coordinated with our shipping company. Hands down amazing service.

I bought my 2018 Toyota RAV4 in the beginning of January. I went at 3pm and left by 7:30 with my vehicle. This is my first auto loan and they were able to get me approved no issue. The dealership is extremely clean and sanitary which was a huge plus as well! Working with Nicole was easy, she knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen. Most definitely would recommend her to anyone looking to go purchase a new car.

Do not buy a vehicle from this dealership if you value your money. I inquired about a RAV4 Prime and they are asking 4 thousand over MSRP because that is what the “market” has done to the price. Well guess what, when the market stabilizes next year, you will have paid an extra 4 thousand above the value of the car. Enjoy being upside down on your loan. Oh and they are not accepting full cash for the car, only their financing or leasing. Find an honest dealership that is not charging above MSRP.Update 10/19/21: After speaking with Jennifer the business manager, everything was resolved. I was able to purchase the vehicle at MSRP but please do not let dealerships take advantage of you, shop around and do not pay a dollar more than MSRP.
