I came in for just an oil change and car wash. When they rotated my tires they broke a lug stud and tried to tell me it was already broken, but they were replacing it for free. I know it wasnt broken because I had just replaced two. I waited a ridiculously long time to get my car back and desperately needed to get back to work. When I got my car back there were panels of the car completely unwashed and they ran my car into something and it had a huge black line running across the back passenger side of my car. I had prepaid for 3 oil changes and after the second one they said I had to come back during October because it would expire after that. So, at only 1,600 miles I went in so I wouldnt lose what we already paid for. I was then told that it had expired, but that they would still honor it. The amount of time alone that I had to wait without any updates was ridiculous. I had to go in to ask what was going on, that was when they said they were replacing the lug stud and it would be another 10 minutes... Which actually turned out to be 30 minutes. I only went to them because I bought my car new and wanted the oil changes on record. No more, Ill do it at home and not damage my car and get it done in a quarter of the time it took them.
Bud Clary Suburu gets 5 stars! This was my first visit to have maintenance on my Suburu. The service manager was thorough, efficient and professional. Information was shared in a helpful, friendly manner. I appreciated how clean everything was, especially with the pandemic. Work was completed in a timely way and there was no waiting at check-in or check-out. It was a totally positive experience!

Well we just spent 2700.00 to have my daughters Subaru fixed but they didn’t fix the problem. It’s no better than when it went in. Plus she told me the car was shaking and I went out and found that when they rotated the tires they didn’t tighten the lug nuts. They were loose on all 4 wheels.

My visit was good, there were two things that cause my 3 stars instead of more. I contact Bud Clary Subaru a month ago to arrange an appointment for a recall service appointment. They advised the work would require about 4 hrs. Since I was bringing in my car from the Long Beach peninsula - a 2 hr drive, I requested a loaner car. They said that they would reserve one for the date we scheduled.When they contacted me to confirm the appointment I again asked if I was set up for a loaner car and was assured that it was taken care of. Well when I got there at the appointment time, the service person immediately advised me that, due to a mistake on their part, there was no loaner car available. I would need to wait for the repairs to be finished however, she would let the tech know I was waiting so it probably could be quicker.3 hours later my car was finished. The 2nd issue became clear once I was in the car and headed home. The setting for my clock, the date and the setting for the speed in numbers had all been changed back to different incorrect settings. I figured out how to get the date and time corrected but still cannot figure out how to get the display to show speed instead of gas usage. UGH….I am frustrated!
The service advisor, Heidi G., was professional and customer focused. Heidi confirmed what services were to be performed and then offered shuttle service if needed. Bud Clary Subaru Service exceeded my expectations.

At my worst time, Bud Clary Subaru was there for me. I had a flat on I5 on my way home from work. I travel over 50 miles to and from, so I knew I wouldnt be able to use the spare for very long. I called Bud Clarly, but unfortunately my tire situation was at the end of most of the tire shops business day. I talked to Heather at Subaru and she said to call back in the am if I couldnt find anyone. All the other places I talked to wanted to sell me 4 tires to replace the one, mind you I have a brand new car, with very low mileage. I was very frustrated and went to bed. In the morning I just went to Bud Clary to see what they could do. Heather checked and found that they had my tired in stocked. I was able to leave the car there for the full day and they were able to fit me in to fix my one tire. Wonderful service and great crew. This is another reason why I buy my cars here and have them serviced here, never leave disappointed!

Id been thinking about getting a new car for a while, one with a stellar IIHS rating, and decided on the Subaru Forester. I searched dealer websites from Portland to the coast and found the one I wanted at Bud Clary. I worked with Andy Bonnington from test drive through financing and the handover of the keys. He answered all my questions, explained all the financing options, and even returned my rental car to the local rental agency. Andy made the whole process easy.
The recall service was very well done and the service garage was big, clean and bright. The paperwork was also very good and detailed.However, my interaction with the person who did the initial paperwork with us was surprisingly unpleasant. I stated my annoyance that they expected us to refill the tank of the loaner car (a Subaru Legacy that jerked and sputtered whenever we slowed down or stopped in traffic). I said we had the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek for about a year and had THREE recalls to deal with which was strange since Subaru has such a reputation for reliability.

Would fully recommend bud Clary Subaru. I had a transmission issue with my WRX and they fixed her up and made her feel better than new. Issue ended up coming back about a thousand Miles later. Brought her back in and theyre going to have to tear down the transmission and see whats going on but they are great with communicating and Heidi is fully recommended. Im sure the WRX will come back amazing.Update. Took about 4 months for everything to be done on the transmission. They did give me a loaner and had some trouble getting some parts seems like thats more the usual these days though for everybody. Ive had the car for about a week and a half and everything seems great. As I stated before Heidi communicated very well and updated me along every step. Appreciate what they did for me and I fully recommend bud Clary Subaru and their service shop.

Martin worked with my reasonable request for a trade in value and immediately notified me when the package and color I’ve admired for 3 years was in. Tim was the sales rep and was very generous with his time ensuring I knew all the features of this car. This was a special gift to myself to celebrate my upcoming 50th birthday. After my last experience with Bud Clary Subaru, l was hesitant to return, but there was still more recall work to do. This time things went much smoother, lm happy to say.(Older Review)Felt like they were using safety recalls just to get my car back in, so they could charge for other non-related services. After planning well ahead of time to bring the car in for the recall services and oil change, the plans, loaner car, and recall service were, either, incomplete or not communicated from one department to another.So, service dept. said they didnt know when l was coming in for loaner car. Then the service dept. told me there was no issue with items in my car, and, yet, when I came to pick it up; they claimed it kept them from completing all the recall service. Well, l do not have any plans to return to Bud Clary. Its location is not convenient, and l find no satisfaction or economy in the service.
Bud Clary is a top-notch place. The techs are highly skilled. We live about 80 miles away, and it is definitely worth the trip. What a joy to deal with people who actually know what they are doing. Kudos to Heidi!

They got me in as soon as they could which was the next day from when I called about my car issue. I got to work with Joey and he went above and beyond to make sure to check out my vehicle and fix the major issue keeping it from being able to drive. Him and his technician found issues from a previous time it was worked on and fixed that issue. It was pricey but worth it to have my car back on the road safely especially since its the family car and my young children ride in it and I want them as safe as possible.
This was the worst thing ever having my car fixed after the accident happen the body shop guy who helped me was so late on 3veryth8ng he had no knowledge of how to do an estimate or even send an email he was rude and mean when I told him what they usually do Im a customer of 27 years now had 10 cars done there when Bob human was there he would just take care of it all with a smile they have new office girls that I had to tell how to use DocuSign and it took three weeks to get my car back I will never use that body shop or service center again they dont even know their tire pressure levels on your car and the parts woman are rude and shirt with you the worst thing they did was get rid of Bob human he was the backbone of that place wake up Kelly your lot is falling apart before your eyes customer relations is a must and your employees dont seem to care at all.

No customer support or even reply once family had need of support. The salesman delivered a scratch dented dirty car and after 37000 paid refused to fix or take me to body shop or manager. Once delivery was made he had lot boy try to fix but since through clear coat they only removed paints protection. Once complaint was made dealership never tried to contact again. Subaru corp rep says they are not responsive or even willing to investigate my car that is damaged whn not in use. They act like the thousands extra payed to have extended warranty never happened. They deliver dirty damaged vehicle and refuse to do anything. Hostile and worst sales dealership in the area. Even dont give or treat employees who do real work a discount on car purchase. Should not represent any brand let alone be a dealership. They are worthless when paid off and need enforcement of warranty. Well at least if its major in less then 3 months of ownership. I never new i could refuse delivery he said they couldnt do anything to help with minor scratch dent but even worse they have treated me as less then human. Payed 37000 to be told no i am wrong and when really needed for manufacturing defect they dont even respond. Will be seeking lawyer and escalating with help of Subaru, Kaiser, progressive, to point out to community the lack of respect or care for customers after purchase.

Honestly it would have been a 4 or 5 star but after I got the car home I started to notice a pretty distinct smell and realized a smoker had owned the car before me. Not sure how I didnt notice during the short test drive I took. None the less my sales rep reached out to me a day or two later and asked how I was liking the car. I responded by saying I really liked the car and I mentioned the cigarette smell but that part of the message seem to be ignored. Ive never been one to cause much commotion over most anything but I guess I was hoping they would take a little initiative to look out for a recent customer. It just sort of felt like now that they had my money my experience was less important than the next dollar that walks into the door. I cant say for certain ill be back when its time for an upgrade.I will say though the buying experience was really nice all the way through. Eden was great and very personable but I guess after that commission check clears im on my own.

Over the last few months Heidi helped me save nearly $1,000 - from not having to pay for maintenance covered by my warranty then getting a refund from another dealership that did charge me, and getting a shaved tire to replace a tire that could not be repaired rather than having to buy four new tires. Love the car, just to many buttons to play with. By the time you figure out 3 of them you forget the last 4 you used. They need to make a cheat sheet and fix it to the dash so you dont have to brake out the owners manual all the time to figure out which button you have just pushed.
Great place to buy and service a car. Too bad that due to the COVID-19 you have to stay and wait or get someone to pick you up. I was surprised/disappointed that it took an hour and a half to do the routine services. It was a scheduled appointment and nothing but the routine oil change etc so I don’t understand why it took so long.
Helped me out with some recall stuff back in February. Provided a drop off time for me since I work and prompt service. Visited a second time and Abel was great help. Helped ease my mind with the problems I was experiencing, and his knowledge of possible issues. When I left there I really felt they where not going to greet me when I came back with a bill that was way over what I was expected to get. I went to Bud Clary and dont get me wrong there car selling department is awesome I enjoy every time I step into that department... but there service department must not know what there doing they didnt hook my splash guard after changing my fog light and left it unattached I them was going down the freeway and it tried to rip itself off. I then tried to call and ended up leaving a message I was very disappointed no return phone call or apology. Its sad though because I love Subaru and I have the utmost expectations for repairs because for one there expensive and I was a mechanic for years.
Everyone here is absolutely amazing. Axel or Able, my goodness I cant remember names this morning, in service has always been knowledgeable, kind and curious. I will continue to go here and recommend them to all my friends
