Jim at Waters did a great job repairing my car! It truly looked better than the day that I bought it new. Cost was very reasonable and better compared to shop that my insurance recommended. This is a very friendly, family business. I got a quote quickly, and when I approved it, they started on the job right away. We have four children who all drive and we own lots of cars. For over 20 years Waters has been our go to auto body shop from our Prius to our Porsche. First rate service and best of all the quality of work is great. The body and paint work is always flawless.

After one trip there, Im never going anywhere else. Owner Jim is friendly, sweet, honest. They dont charge for the small stuff--came in to replace broken side mirror, took car home, came back the next day when the part came in, and they snapped it on right there, no labor charge. Great company. Be aware they dont take credit cards, though--probably a way to keep costs down. I recommend Waters Auto Body to everyone.

This is a really great body shop. We brought our car here after an accident, and they did a really great job fixing the car.In other cases, we brought our vehicle in for minor issues, and theyd often fix it free of charge if it was a small thing.We highly recommend Waters for any body work.

My son was hit while parked in a parking garage, and to make a LONG story short - it was a horrific experience - until he selected Waters Auto Body to fix our car. I was trying to help my son from several hundred miles away, and Jim helped to make it all seamless, and most importantly - fix the car properly. My son had chosen Waters based on the reviews he read on-line, having no experience with any other auto body shops in Los Angeles, and the reviews didnt steer us wrong. I hope we dont need a body shop any time soon - but if we do, Waters would get the nod.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I took my car in with a bad scrape on the side door. The owner (a very friendly, down to earth guy) told me that it honestly would cost more than the car was worth to repair, and then proceeded to repaint the scratch. He spend a good 15-20 minutes hand-painting it himself (this was not a small scratch), doing a fantastic job, and then refused to let me pay him! I didnt even know service like this existed anymore. He earned himself a lifelong customer. Highly recommended.

Three reasons to avoid Water’s Auto Body in Palms (Westside)-Jim is a liar and a charlatan-Jim is a fraud and extortionist-Jim is a thief and a criminal. Not because he’s a mechanic (a profession where this type of behavior is far from uncommon but is not standard) but because he claims to provide a service but only does minimal, superficial work and pockets the lion’s share of the expenses w/ bogus charges.That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Let’s dive deeper and get into the murky, dark, glaring reasons to avoid Water’s Auto Body:Jim duped me w/ shop customs and company protocol in order to steal my insurance “Good Driver Reward” which was a check for $1,100.00Jim only did external damages [body kit, lights, hood, paint job], No internal repairs. To be clear: zero necessary internal repairs, from a t-bone car crash and somehow didn’t foresee that eventually I’d have to get my car repaired so that the car does it’s function of going point A to point B.Jim predicted 4 days to repair and actually took 26 days to return [which is bizarre because he only did the aforementioned external repairs]Jim sent PAGES of damages that are not just inflated but broken into multiple charges and inflated or entirely fabricated in order to upcharge.$8,300 worth of charges but only about $2,000 in external repair only.I am convinced that he buttered the insurance agent in order to get the contract for making Water’s Auto the preferred, approved and recommended repair shop despite not doing what he claims to offer as services. I am even more convinced his scheme was created in order to make an endless “nightmare loop” of shuffling the blame from insurance agent he’s in cahoots with to him and back again so that neither him or his fellow insurance conspirator can be pinned down for the blame and that the endless loop of passing the buck back and forth would make the customer give up in frustration and pay the costs one way or another, ideally and more than likely, before the customer confronts the real issue of corruption, bribery/kickbacks, theft, fraud and all over scam. Having thought about at length and how a person could get away with this scheme and continue a phony shop, I can assure you that this is not his first scam. Due to the complexity of his operation I am confident that I am not the first person bamboozled by Jim at Water’s Auto and to make matters worse, even more convinced that he will continue all these illegal acts until he is either in jail or flees the country. This is the first time I’ve ever said this with conviction; Jim Bjelajac belongs in prison. If he doesn’t get a hard sentence and instead is fired, he’ll just move to another big city in order to re-establish his hustle w/ another willing conspirator until the heat comes down on him again ad infinitum.Total cost: $9,400.00Can you imagine needing your car for a 20 mile commute? Perhaps the stress of moving residences from town to town? What about being without your car for almost a solid month and being forced to juggle between ride sharing and renting a car… Now imagine yourself having to do all three of those things because Water’s Auto Body is run by a crook?If you don’t mind making Jim and his buddies wealthy at your expense, please throw away my warning and take your car here to this Mickey Mouse mechanic shop.
