Amazing selection of books, great history section, friendly staff, definitely down for a second visit.

Good deals on buying books.. Not a good place to sell your books, though. I seen them pick a womans new books apart and offered her chump change.... I was embarrassed for her. She would have been better to donate them to the Goodwill. At least donating to the Goodwill she could have gotten a tax credit. She basically donated them to Half Priced Books. She had 10 fairly new books in new condition and got $6.00. I guess thats how they make their money... Love buying books and odds and ins from the store.

A very nice shop for used books and classic video games. The selection is really good at this shop and the folks who work here are all helpful. The restroom is also clean

They had a good selection of games and music I found several clearance games and CDs for really cheap and they all work fine

A great place for treasure hunters! Excellent selection of books. While you might be able to find better prices on eBay, you cant beat the fun of browsing on person!Currently limiting the number of customers in the store (expect a brief wait) and requiring facial masks.

I’ve been shopping at the HPB since it opened. I like the store. Lots to look through and choose from. Bathrooms are kept clean. Offers for selling them books have gotten lower over the years. The one thing I don’t like is the filthy condition of the carpet. I realize that people track in dirt on their shoes and that drinks get spilled but the carpet looks like it’s never been cleaned. It needs to either be pulled up and the concrete exposed (like the Westport Rd location) or replaced.

Great place to find good deals on books, movies, dvd

This place is worthless if you expect them to pay you anything for your books. I recently took in two brand new mint condition books that had a retail price of $105 total, including one autographed by Bob Woodward of Watergate fame. They offered me a total of $2 and said they didnt pay more for anything autographed by Woodward. This place pays you nothing for anything and then marks it up 2000 percent and puts it on their shelf. They are running a great scam. So shop at you own risk.

I really love this place. They have a great selection of books but they have so much more than that. Their clearance is also fantastic. I got a cookbook for two dollars with some great recipes! The cashiers are also speedy and polite.

We visit this HPB about once a week or so looking for board games. Selling items back is a long process that will likely not be worth the time spent (in my experience, anyway). They have a great clearance selection of both books and movies, especially the young adult section.

So I have bought quite a few fiction novels from HPB, recently I bought a John Grisham novel and 2 novels by Patricia Cornell. My purchase price was$13.49 when i tried to sell the novels back they offered me $1.15 you can make your ownsecision but was very distified with the buyback offer. They do have a good selection of books

Don’t get me wrong, I love this place. It’s a solid stop for when you are looking for something specific and looking for something to catch your interest; both which I’ve enjoyed doing for years. But, when you have customers in your store 10 minutes till close and you have a logistically mandated close time, please let your patrons know rather than loudly droning on about how you’d never go to a store within 30 mins of closing. It completely negates your co-worker’s response of “of course, you’re a good person”.

Pretty lousy store. A lady worker saw me take a sip of a drink and put my mask back up and hounded me and threatened to stalk me and follow me around the store and watch me and yelled at me and harassed me and my wife and wouldn’t leave us alone even after we made sure our masks were on and told her our masks are on and tried to calm her down. Then she spent an hour or two walking up and harassing and hounding and staring at us to make sure we were wearing our masks and then she announced several times over the store intercom a rant about us indirectly about how everyone must wear masks. Sad thing is it’s honestly the best Half Priced Books I’ve seen. But being harassed and stalked around a store kinda ruins he experience of such a great store. I wouldn’t go when she’s there or would fire her or find another half priced books or something. It’s usually cheaper on Amazon anyway.

This is gr8 place for whatever book you could think of to want. You can even bring books in to sell to them; not sure on all those details though. Still greatest book store ever!

I like the selection of items, but when selling old books here dont expect to get any more than a few dollars, and dont expect to sell more than maybe a few books. They have gotten really picky over the years and really stingy on the money. Staff are nice tho.

I love just wandering through the aisles of this place. They usually have a good sci-fi collection and even a few D&D books (even some of the rule books). Im in here often. One word of warning, during evening rush hour the traffic along this stretch of Hurstbourne is brutal.

They didnt have what I was looking for but they ordered it for me from one of their other stores. The books came in a couple of days. I got several books at really good prices. I love this place! Even though I live an hour away, I still come here.

I love half priced books. But it is time for someone to enforce the rules theyve set-up during the Pandemic. One way aisles. 6 foot distancing. Some of your less progressive customers seem to think the rules dont apply to them. Maybe the rest of us should just be glad were not in South Dakota. Come on guys, help those of us who are trying to abide by the rules.

I was given only $1.45 for three books. The purchasers explanation was they had too many books.

Clean; everyone, staff and customers alike were wearing their masks. Staff was very helpful, they didnt have everything I wanted, but one was a very popular book, and the others were kind of obscure. 100% will be back.

There is always something to find at this store! From books, vinyls, and DVDs to action figures, graphic novels, and video games; there is something for the whole family to enjoy. Also, if you are looking to clean out your closet, they buy back media and other items. Staff is super friendly as well. Definitely recommend!

I always enjoy going here! The prices are small and affordable and the books are all in good condition! My only complaint is that it takes a while for the store to get any newly published titles which is understandable because most of the books sold here have been previously used.Over all its a pretty great place to go on a treasure hunt!

Half Price is a discount bookshop that is really dear to me, and it is great to see that they are still active during the whole COVID crisis. The selection is great. The staff is always really busy, but they go out of their way to help out any time they can with no fuss. I love this place.

The staff is very helpful there. Im in and out quick which is most important to me. Theyre never short with you or .ake you feel like youre a burden. The cashier even applied a coupon she had to my purchase. People dont have to be so nice, so I appreciate it when they are.

Selling books is a nightmare and you will lose an afternoon. They need to develop a better system, reservations would be good. As far as buying its a great deal with a decent selection.

Great store! They are doing their best to help customers shop socially distant even though it can be quite difficult to get in the aisle that you want of someone(you know who) spends 20 minutes in a particular aisle. This is because they suggest only one customer per aisle/cubby. Otherwise this store is really doing great!

This is the BEST STORE EVER!! A wonderful selection of Christian devotionals and several gifts!! The staff here are EXTREMELY nice!!

Our absolute favorite bookstore. This is also my favorite place to shop for unique gifts. This location has an educational section the other ones do not. As in text/school books for home educators and/or families wanting some supplemental educational materials. Prices cant be better, either.

Half Price books is a very interesting store. They obviously have books at excellent prices as the name would apply they also have a white selection of CDs, DVDs, toys as well as other random miscellaneous items. The employees are always helpful and as stated before, The prices are stellar. I feel like this is one of those stores that has something for everyone. I would definitely recommend that you give this one a shot.

Love the place but one of the managers always treats me like I am stealing from them and even confronted me once telling me she thought I was. I love books and I love Half Price Books and the rest of the staff is awesome and any other store I have been to I havent enjoyed my stay so I will keep coming to this one.

Amazing spot to get your knowledge on! My wife and I go once every other month or 7 times in a single month. Never know really but we go enough and I have not a single complaint.

Very wonderful selection of books! Ive spent about $85 in the last week alone. Had NO CLUE they had retro gaming systems! My boyfriend was really really happy with his ps2 from the store. The male cashier was very helpful (and cute, but dont tell my boyfriend that) and clued me in on a book event coming soon. Very excited for it!

If you want to lose yourself in time the healthy way, NH Style, travel to Half Price Books. Im a sober queen from another planet and I sometimes need a place to escape the earthly stressors on this plane. I love to sit on the floor and discover new poets or peruse the classics. Best of all I can slip out with an arm full of books for less than 30 bucks.

If you know how to search for books in the store, there are always gems to be found. Sometimes signed 1st editions, sometimes rare collectables, and often complete sets all for good prices!

These stores are my absolute favorite book stores. I always find a great bargain of a book here. This place weekly updates its stock and its always an adventure coming into these. They fuel my reading addiction and the prices make me feel great for buying so much from them!

I LOOOOOOVE HALF PRICED BOOKS!! I ended up not renewing my Barnes and Noble membership because of this place. Its amazing! As a college student, I take advantage of their textbooks and other learning materials. And I love seeing authors setting up booths. My kids love coming here too because of the kids section and they know they can leave with a book in each hand.

They have a ton of options! Old and new movies, books, cute little knick knack, etc. Some classics I was hoping to find werent there but they cant have it all I guess. Its a bit much in there so sometimes it seems overwhelming but things are in alphabetical order so thats a good start.

Used to be my favorite place to shop. Sadly all their competitors have gone out of business so now their prices are moving up. Many times I find same items much less on line. Also customer service is dropping off as well. Hope this trend stops soon I really enjoy shopping here but dont stop in half as much as I used to
