Go-to place for everything and anything hardware related AND lawn and garden related. Great supply of quality, well-priced dog food too. But they also carry all sorts of things you use everyday and wouldnt expect to find. So look around and youll be pleasantly surprised. And someone is always there to help you find what youre looking for and theyll definitely load your vehicle with anything heavy or cumbersome, which of course probably wont happen at the big box stores.

What a cool store. The perfect place to go for those hard to find items as well as normal everyday products. I would recommend this store to anyone and everyone! We need to support our locally owned businesses as much as possible and Karsten & Denson makes it easy!

Ive been going there for years. Always friendly. Ive never had an unpleasant experience there. They have a little bit of everything a home owner might need, and then some. And if they dont have it they can usually order it for you. It may cost literally one or two more dollars than it would at some huge corporate store, but Ill pay the extra minimal fee to support local business in my community.

The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. Its a very unique small hardware store selling things from bee keeping to plumbing. Their prices are a little high, but worth the price for the convenience and service you will receive.

-5 stars if possible I called earlier this morning and the lady had a horrible attitude that was very unnecessary. I advise anyone to go anywhere else where they will feel appreciated and won’t get a rude response for asking a reasonable question during this crisis. I called to see if Lysol was in stock the lady rudely laughed and said I was not able to find it anywhere in the United States and to let her know if we find any she’ll buy some that was highly unacceptable. I WILL NOT come to this place for ANYTHING EVER AGAIN !!!!!!!

This is my favorite store in Macon. Staff is always helpful. Today, I was offered assistance before I had even walked through the door. I leave this store in a good mood every time - the exact opposite of what happens to my mood at Lowes or Home Depot. Also, despite its small size, I have never been unable to find what I was looking for. Stores like this are so very rare these days, so I come here as often as I can because I want it to be here forever.

One of a kind old fashioned hardware store. Narrow aisles loaded with unique and obscure merchandise.Johnny Davis, owner-operator and his men are so helpful. Questions such as which garden chemicals are the not dangerous to humans and most effective. No big box store has the wealth of knowledge this fascinating establishment has.The oldest surviving business in Macon. No longer downtown. Now in Ingleside Village. I love to wander through.

I have been shopping with Johnny since the day he opened.I know his mark up is some times lower than the box stores, always in line, plus his employees want to work with you not hide from you!!If someone was rude on the phone they are no longer with Karsten & Denson Johnny would not have that happen in his store !!!!If you are looking for something you remember your Grandmother cleaned her kitchen sink with you will find it on the last shelf on the right. Do you think I know this store ?

I was there today, at the checkout, an African-American family of three in the front of me they have a lot things most of plants with one people in the wheelchair( old people) if I were you I would help them to load it to the truck for them, but they just stand in the front door which they out of the store, one of the African American pushing the wheelchair and the 🛒 of plants and the wheelchair rolled of her hand almost hitting the car in the parking lot and no one comes out to help I had to drop off my things off my hand to catch the wheelchair 😡. It’s my first time and that is my last time.

Love this ole fashion original style hardware store. Its the way hardware stores should be. Great customer service with people who know their products and have the experience to answer any question I have ever asked. It the way Hardware Stores was before big box entered. Big box stores will not carry items you will find here. Where do I find a 1900 brass doorknob? Here!!! Support these stores because when they are gone, you will never find this customer service and knowledge in any big box store...EVER!

Go here first, if you are looking for anything for home and garden. You can find some of the most random things here too, like bee hive equipment, clothing, cast iron skillets, live stock feed, cat food, dog food, just to name a few things. And the cut keys.
