Super big and everyone was so friendly. I was joking around with some of the employees and had a good time. They seemed to all really enjoy working there. The GM was very very friendly and super helpful.

I brought about $4000 worth of stuff to remove my bathroom. When I was done with my stuff, the remainder of the stuff I went to return, they wouldn’t give my money back on my debit or cash instead they forced me to take store credit for $200.. that’s the last $200 you’re going to get from me, Lowe’s you got yourself a new loyal customer

2:30 Saturday afternoon I go to Home Depot in Madison Heights, MI. Ive already spent over 2 hours in there, Ive got electrical outlets, covers, five new light fixtures two porch fixtures I go to the register and I find out that a self-service only are you serious? I realize theres a shortage of employees, you have people on your floor working tripping over one another trying to help other customers but not enough to run a register? but you have one register open and its knee deep in patrons waiting to pay for their things! You see you just lost my sale-Not talking about 4 or 5 people, Im talking nearly double that!

Its a good store you can usually find people to help you sometimes they know what theyre talking about sometimes they dont but besides that good store

They need to open some check out lanes and this push to self checkout to save labor cost has gone to far.....I see no savings for the consumer.... just rising prices and you cant even find a straight board in this place.,... I love Home Depot! I just have a hard time finding workers in this location :( overall still a great store if you know what you’re looking for! Some times the check out lines can be literally insane. Last time we waited in line for over 30 minutes! Very understaffed for the amount of customers, but everything is always stocked well.

Had to stop in for a saw. Got a nice Milwaukee and the service was great go the cage open got the saw and Checked out.not even thereee for 10 min pleasant trip to the homedepot

Its home depot.. they are really good at somethings and need improvement on others. Corporate needs to get a handle on the accuracy of the websites in store inventory, its never correct. Ordered a bbq online, came in when it was supposed to, box was a bit beat up, pick up was easy.

Complete mess. Was notified that my order was in. Drive up there to get one piece of order. Not happy. So I drive up a second time and they still dont have it right. Also, never seen so many employees standing around doing NOTHING! the return lines are out the door. Not going back probably!

This store never has the correct stock numbers (says qty 80+ in stock on multiple items and the store shelves are empty)and is always a mess. Staff is never around and they don’t provide any actual help. Better off going to Troy location, much better organized and better staffed

The Home Depot has gone down in quality for customer service and their ability to provide goods immensely over the past 5 or so years. I used to work at Home Depot (different location), and customer service was the center of their training - which took weeks to complete. When I enter a store now, none of the associates make eye contact and visibly avoid the customers. *If* you can get their attention, 99% of the time they will give you an attitude - like you are an inconvenience to them.Policies that would aid in customer service apparently are gone, or just not honored at this location. Previously, if an item was out of stock theyd price match a comparable item (if it cost more). For example, 4 packs of Propane Cylinder tanks (16 oz each) that are marked for $14.99 have been out of stock forever. However, they keep getting the 2 packs in stock (same size) for $9.99. This is something they used to honor the larger quantity price on, but they wont do so any longer.All in all, Home Depot has fallen off my list of go to places. Ill start off with Amazon now, then Ace Hardware, followed by Lowes, then Home Depot. Amazon will likely have what Im looking for (along with thoughtful reviews) and Ace Hardware will give me customer service if I need it. Lowes isnt much better (if at all) than Home Depot.... but after repeated rude associates and lack of inventory, Id rather go there than Home Depot.

Home Depot always has what I want when I need it. Plus I respect Home Depot being generous enough to give us Veterans the discount by showing respect to us veterans. I love this Home Depot and the staff is generally pleasant. Little difficult to find people sometime, seems like they need to staff up. Also I’m not sure when this Home Depot got so unorganized. The past couple weeks I have been coming here due to a home project that I’m working on and the isles are packed, stuff is everywhere, and everything I’m needed for this project needs to be restocked and pulled from the shelves.

My latest DIY project is a picture perfect chalk board that doubles as a framed selfie picture background. I needed a menu chalkboard but not just any board. I needed something unique so took the $13 plywood and cut them to fit a couple of old picture frames. I bought some Kilts for the primer coat, then the Chalkboard paint in Garnet. I love the results!

Very nice store. Helpful people. I was able to be in and out quickly.

The store is large and reasonably stocked. The associates are not very knowledgeable so dont expect much help. It is unorganized overall and difficult to find specific things.

Great selection at this home Depot. Service people were also motivated and helpful.

Over all its good. I just wish who ever is in charge can have more cashiers during busy day instead of having the long lines. that puts the pressure on a single employee and customers become really unhappy 😒

Gentleman in appliances was outstanding. We bought two LG stoves today and this gentleman was the reason we bought them from Home Depot.

This is the worst Home Depot in the state of Michigan. Every time I’ve come here the customer service is an embarrassment. After waiting 25-min to pick up a few bags of pea pebbles via their curbside delivery service I called the store and no one picked up. Ended up running in and grabbing them myself. Meanwhile three employees just chillin outside the garden center while multiple customers are waiting for curbside delivery for 30-min. I honestly wonder how long I would have sat there. Unbelievable. Take your business to the Lowe’s next door this Home Depot is a joke.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Customer service is very important and they lack it! Theres workers all over the place but very few who actually help you. We were turned away by everyone we encountered with Ill call someone over there no one ever showed up. Never again

This is the dirtiest home depot in the state. I understand it is a higher volume store but there is no acceptable reason for the run down appearance this store has. Sterling heights is a much better store. That clearly care about there customers based on the fact you do not have to wade thru filth to get what you stopped in for.

The selection of seasonal plants and shrubs was impressive. They were high quality and affordable. We found everything we needed- and a bit more!

Going to home Depot on a Sunday means its going to be a lot busier and finding help a lot harder to find. Lucky for us we found a nice customer service person named James who helped us order a gazebo that we wanted. Our thanks for the very good service he gave us.

For a business to have very strong competition from Lowes and Menards, it amazes me how they can still employ folks who dont seem to want to be there, or more importantly, help customers. I stopped going to this location for that reason, but stopped in because Lowes didnt have what we needed in stock. I asked 2 different associates for 2 different things, and was treated like we were doing them a favor. The last guys response, to Excuse me. Hello. Where can I find....? was Next aisle. He turned back around before I could say thank you. Thank goodness I didnt need any further help from him. It wouldve been 1⭐, but they had what I needed today.

12 mile is the biggest of all of them selling more than the other Hds.The moral of the employees is in the 🚽Like you the employees are trying to take care of their own family.This place is stressing.

Hard to find help, have to look a while to find good help without the same answers but they do have most of what you are looking for and thats more important.Its a good place overallI go there often.

Not good, I went in to get replacement wheels for my lawn mower, but the area was closed off for restocking. Waited 45 mins, so frustrating. Maybe you can have and associate help customers for once. I left and just ordered them on Amazon. Thanks for wasting my time on a early Saturday morning.

Your average Home Depot. This one seems to be have enough staff. I was able to get help to load in a reasonable amount of time.

The gardening section was fine. I was able to find hot pots and potting soil. Now to put my garden together!

One of the worst customer experiences Ive ever had. Some short man-baby in a beard working in the parking lot was extremely disrespectful, almost like he wanted me to fight him. My mom and I were there to buy a grill, I was just there to provide my vehicle and some muscle to help move it. This bigot kept talking to me like I was the one buying it even though it was very clear my mom was the one answering/asking the questions. After my mother went in to look at some grills, he was antagonizing me in the front doors. Two employees just stood there and watched as well. Please avoid this place, go to the Lowes in the same parking lot. 10x better service there. Will never be coming back. The guy should be fired as well as whoever hired him.

Left Lowes to come there for you guys to always be outta stock. Sorry

Worst customer service Ive ever encountered at a home depot. Literally nobody could help me, and they were walking around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. Absolutely ridiculous. Management needs to step up and get these workers some sort of efficient level of helping people.

Im not always a fan of this Home Depot but the young man working in Paint is great! He has helped me twice now, this time it was just before close and he was still very helpful. I just want him to know his hardwork does not go unnoticed.

Lots of people . just self centered folx running into each other and myself. Saw two fake service dogs barking at each other. Had to go outside to breathe twice. Not enough staff to assist. Staff that was there did not know product placement and could not aid properly with location of items. Not impressed.

I love my Home Depot in Madison Heights. Im a DIYer and I always find myself going there first.I met the most helpful, polite gentleman there today while I was shopping for wood. I didnt get his name, he said hes only been there for about two months but he was very helpful. He cut my wood down to my specifications.

Ordered a product which showed “1 available” online. Our credit card was charged full price right after purchase. After 5 hours (mind you this is 3 hours after their promised 2 hour contact window), we were told our product “was not available”. The reasoning provided by the knowledgeable associate was “it must just be a website problem”. No offer for any sort of solution for the large mistake on Home Depot. To top, we were advised our refund would take 1-2 weeks for processing. This is in addition to having previously ordered this same product on April 15th, with a delivery date of April 19th. Well, obviously it’s well past April 19th. When I called to speak to again, another knowledgeable associate, I was told basically that it was in their warehouse and they basically had no idea where our product was. Just very appalled with the LACK of customer service provided by Home Depot on numerous occasions. To top, instead of a solution being offered or something to help the customer, a lame excuse was provided.

Very Friendly and took me to what i was looking for. Madison Heights Home Depot had everything i needed. Southfield Home Depot looked up other stores inventory and found the one on 12 mile had my item in stock, which was very helpful and save me alot of time.

Home Depot is my go-to place for home improvement supplies and I would give 5 stars, but the aisles are very restricted with stock, and some aisles completely blocked. If there were a fire or emergency this could be bad news, especially if you are in a wheelchair.

Husband always there lol 🤦idk if thats good or bad but I know he goes there over Lowes.

Love this place. Way better than Lowe’s. You can even use the website to find out exactly what aisle your item is in.

Go to place for what I need. Even though its farther than others stores,, 9 times out of 10 I can find what I need compared to Lowes or Ace

I’ve had two very bad experiences here. First, I went to buy a $800 grill. It took 2 hours to get it down from the shelves. Second, I purchased what I thought was a new window ac unit. Turns out it was not new. You could see that it had been used before and it did not come with all the parts including mounting hardware and remote control. I wasn’t concerned about the remote but no mounting hardware? How can you buy something from a place where you don’t even know if all the parts are in the box? I’ve had great Home Depot experiences in the past but will not be coming back to this location.

Came in to get some blinds - after waiting 20 minutes for the closed aisle to open after talking to an employee I asked if they could pause loading pallets so me and the other line of people waiting for this aisle could get what they needed. He said no and told me I should wait and that “everyone has orders”. If you like to spend an hour waiting on their team to do anything look no further!

Went to the Home Depot on 12 mile near I75 looking for a product. Encountered a employee that was knowledgeable to help me.Talked to another person that directed me to another product. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

This Home Depot needs a lot of work. Chaotic shelving. Most times they do not have what their website says they have. Unknowledgeable staff. Just a total chaotic environment all together. Checking out is the biggest hassle of all. That would be at this location in Detroit.

Not my favorite home depot, as things seem to be commonly misplaced and unorganized. The staff can be polite, depending on which department youre in. I found a couple of the employees to be bitter and weird acting. However, most of them were eager to help. They have a larger than normal gardening and outdoor area which is nice. If the rest of the store was as organized as the garden it wouldnt be so bad

I spent my life going her or at least it feels that way. Im typically unsatisfied with the location and Madison heights. The people who work there really have no knowledge and are not helpful at all. They cant even tell you what isle an item is located at. If you take the chance and listen to them you end up having to ask another and then another. Eventually you just find it on your own

Had what I needed helpful employe

The poorest customer service. We were supposed to get our fridge delivered about 2 weeks ago. Delivery guys arrived and left without dropping our fridge off and without saying anything. We called Home Depot and they said we needed a shut off valve which we did. When we told Home Depot that the delivery guys left without saying anything to us, there was not even an apology. The person on the phone told us it will be delivered today, the 30th of April. Delivery didn’t happen. Called Home Depot and apparently the person who we spoke with didn’t update the schedule with the delivery guys and now the new delivery is scheduled for May 7th. Spoke to the manager about our frustration and was told to call the Home Depot cares hotline and they will help us out and also made it sound that we’d get some sort of compensation for the inconvenience. Called the number and surprise, there was nothing they could do for us! Should’ve learned my lesson when we ordered a new washer few months ago because the same thing happened.

Terrible customer service, not like always this time is real bad. Could not get anyone to help me unload two full carts I bought, I had to take the cart one by one and got my shirt yellow paint on it, did not even got an apology. They were not busy.

Apparently, I must be invisible. Im a short little grey haired lady who does her own home renovations and I have a small, Royal Oak bungalow in need of, well, everything. My shopping list took me to multiple departments with similar outcomes: out of stock, poorly merchandised, not locatable, few if any team members available to assist (and now, the part about my invisibility): I was either ignored or not noticed while men and couples who came along after me were assisted. This happened in Tools, Paint, and Professional Services. Also, I needed repairs on a garage door opener that had been purchased at HD and installed by their contractors. I was eventually directed to make an online request at a kiosk but there were no fields for repairs, only purchase. Then I was told to contact the manufacturer as HD was not responsible for, well, anything. I guess I wont be calling HD for a quote on my new roof! I wont be returning either: I easily ordered all my supplies online from other sources and the power washer and paint came the next day. i got exactly what I wanted, info was readily available and no more being ignored! Uhhhh...Buh Bie HD!

Everyone I asked had a different direction for an item

2 days ago, I got another 21 bags of mulch. I told the cashier that I would return for another load. There were not enough bags on the ground. I asked if the fork lift could lower another pallet prior to my return. I returned today and the mulch had been lowered to ground level as requested.I also appreciate that they provide someone to load the bags into my pick-up truck bed.Service and attitudes are great!
