Very unprofessional and poor service ordered a replacement barrel 9 weeks ago it was only supposed to take 5 weeks never heard from them went down there yesterday to check they said yes we have it here come back in the morning got there this morning and they did not have it told me I would have to wait another 9 weeks for them to reorder it granted I paid cash up front the very first time I ordered it. So now no rooms for my car shows that I have reserved.

I love the way the wheel and tires that I got from Hot wheel city look on my truck. Only giving them 2 stars because I asked several questions to ensure the quality of the drive would still be the same after putting on bigger wheels/mud tires. My vehicle drives nothing like it did before. The vehicle vibrates to the point where it gets difficult for passengers to read texts on their phone. Brought it back to them and they said they balanced everything and told me I couldn’t expect a 100% quality ride with mud tires. And I agree, but I was expecting at least to be able to drive on the freeway without my jaws vibrating

They sold me the wrong size bolts and spacers then told me that whoever put them on must have been doing it wrong. My hub bore is 72.56 they sold me 72 and then the bolts were 12x1.25 instead of 12x1.5 terrible service first and last time I will ever use them.

Ive bought 3 sets of wheels in the last 4 years. Lost a center cap so I went into the store to buy a set. For a place that has 70% black wheels would think they would have center caps. Since I wasnt spending alot on wheels got the blow off. Terrible customer service. Thankful wheel stores are on every corner.

Service was good. Love the rims but was told I was buying all terrain tires instead they put on mud tires. I tried to call and get it fixed but they wont exchange them. Now Im screwed. They dont know the difference. All ready had to put air being 3 days 10+ psi for each tire.

First and foremost I rarely give any company online reviews although it seems often asked. It’s not because I don’t care about the service I get, its just the reality of being a busy single father of three kids! HOWEVER Today I had what I can only call an “Old School” customer service experience when for the first time I visited Hot Wheel City. When I walked in I immediately noticed that every single person that worked there was busy actually working. Shortly after that I was greeted pleasantly by one of the older gentleman who promptly grabbed the manager who was more than happy to ask me how he could help. As rarely I experience as I talked he listened and heard what I was communicating. Then he asked if I was in a hurry to which I replied not at all. He told me that he just needed to finish up with the customer he was working with, pointed me in the direction of what I was looking for and kindly thanked me and said he would be with me very shortly. And that’s exactly what happened to my delight. I ended up spending a substantial amount of time with the owner in his office. I received what I would call an phenomenal education which will allow me to ensure I know exactly what I’m getting and what to expect. I look forward to having them upgrade me rim and tire package very shortly.

Stop by at the store to check pricing on 4 passenger tires. They were super busy & only had one guy working the front counter. Very professional shop, I came here to not only replace my tires but the rim after being involved in an accident. The staff was courteous and professional. The prices were reasonable. Also, they didnt have the tire that morning, but by the afternoon they had received it. I came back and was taken care of immediately by Roxana. Highly recommend this place!

These guys are very shady. I ordered my wheels online and they sent me the wrong Wheels. I called and told the owner and he stated he would give me $100 off to just take the wheels. That’s not how business works. I called for several weeks trying to get my money back for the wheels and the owner ended up blocking me from calling him. If I could give them zero stars I would. Do not deal with these guys.

I was looking for Tires and rims, I shopped around about 10 tire places. I found Hotwheel city and called, I got a guy named Brandon. Very efficient and professional, He suggested the finance option, which works well if your funds are tied up. He followed up with me, and gave me great suggestions. He did not hound me for a sale! I passed at least 11 tire shops on the way to him, in the bad weather, riding on terrible worn tires. I got there, he got my tires ordered and contacted me when they came in. I came in, it was a very pleasant environment! I sat and did homework, Brandon offered me water while I waited and whenn it was time to go, he had the guys put each tire in a bag before putting them in my car. I asked him for a recommendation for a wheel alignment he sent me to American outlet (Madison heights) where I was taking good care of by Frank.

Bought wheels and tires about 8 months ago. The valve stem were dry rotted. I took my truck back there and they changed out 8 valve stems and rebalanced the tires (has a little shake) free of charge. Were very nice about it and the original price was the best in town. Its all about the follow up after the sale. Most places dont care once they have your money and you walk out the door. GREAT customer service. Very rare now a days.Thanks guys!

Johnny was great. He helped me when I came in 8 months ago to get some wheels and tires. He helped me fine a set that fit my truck perfectly and without negatively impact my trucks handling. Its been 3 weeks and they havent shipped my dads tires to him. They claim itll arrive in 5 days but every single time I call they have a new excuse. This place is a fraud and should be reported. I tried canceling the order but they refused claiming it had already been shipped so cant be cancelled. They cant provide a shipping number to me for some unknown reason. This place is a total joke and scammers.UPDATE: My dad finally got his tires and they were the wrong kind. When I called, all they do is speak to me like Im stupid. Extremely rude and HORRIBLE customer service

I came in with two leaking tires from hitting nails. I walked in so I didnt have an appointment- the wait time was expected so that wasnt an issue at all. I was greeted as soon as I came through the door, assured I would be helped right away; and I was. Hector walked out to my car with me, assessed it and assured me that they could take care of the problem. All of the employees (Roxana, Johny, and Fred()) were all very helpful and informative as well as friendly. They were slammed which Im assuming is normal for this store, and its understandable why. Ill definitely be a repeat customer and will be referring everyone here!

Went to hot wheel city got a set of $1500 mud tires some $1000 24 inch rucci’s a $1000 rough country 6” lift and a set of adapters for $80 from here don’t get me wrong the service here is ok until something brand new breaks and it’s a problem for it to be fixed in the past month I have had 2 studs on one adapter break just from cruising and didnt hit a bump or nothing took my truck back to hot wheel city and they tried to tell me I didn’t get my adapters from them until I broke out my receipts and only then the owner agreed to replace the studs fast forward to 3 days ago another stud broke on my other adapter from just pulling out of my driveway called hot wheel city to tell them another one was broke like the owner asked me to if it happened again I told them I just wanted the adapters took off I was told it would be $40 to take off not looking for any handouts but if a customer has spent $3500+ with you the least you can do is take off some adapters they got from you that keeps breaking also I told them it needs a wheel alignment and was told it could be the rims but I got the rims brand new from them lmao I don’t get it

I asked to speak with supervisor or manager but was no manager at time. i had to call 13540 East 8 Mile Road, Detroit, MI 48205 location and manager of this location refused to help me. He said there is nothing he can do about it. I WOULD NOT recommend to anyone TO BUY wheels from them.

Absolutely no acknowledgment even with 4 sales people at the counter and only 1 other customer. The reason for 2 and not 1 star is their large showroom and open inventory. A simple well be right with you goes a long way. Total time spent there was approximately 15 minutes before just leaving.

Bought a new set of off brand tires, they seem like good tires and i got em for less than 300 bucks. Which is cool and all, but this place has some shady undertones to it. Which doesnt really bother me, but it is worth mentioning. Also, i was very bothered by the fact that this place has NO WAITING AREA/LOBBY. Which is literally unheard of. They have a few stools at the counter you can wait on, which is super awkward. Or you can sit outside on one of the parking bricks in the lot (which i saw people doing). Howeverrrrrr the boss has a HUGE office complete with a flat screen, a table, several chairs, recliners and a sofa all for his convience :) right at the front entrance, which ironically in most shops is usually where the lounge would be. That really bothered me. No one wants to sit on a freaking bar stool with no back support for over an hour staring the employees directly in their face. But still, not a bad shop, the employees were (shady) nice and friendly, even offering me water. Probably wont be back.
