The location is very visible. Great lighting outside, sign is very well lit. Furthermore we looked for a couple of screws for the license plate holder. We tried one item it did not fit. When we walked back in, the gentleman that helped us was great. He showed us the size we needed and made sure we were 100% happy. Thank you so much for the great service

Had all the parts I needed I saved 20% by ordering them online and using the Labor Day weekend promo code LDAYAPP.Needed the parts today and got them cheaper than O’reilly’s and Autozone were selling them for. I bought a water pump and all of the gaskets to do the job for $145 out the door.

Advanced auto part usually a good place to deal with .never had any problem with other stores .but i called today 5/8/2021.at 12:30 .the person who picked up on me was rude and barley answered my simple quastions. and at the end of the phone call i asked him politely who i spoke to .he hung up on me ..and i decided to shop another auto part store .not recommended place to call or visit as long as un educated people been hired to be in a position to deal with people directly.
The prices at Advance are good especially if you buy online and pick up in store. Unfortunately, there is a rude CSR who works here, and for that I may drive a little longer to go to another advance auto store.No matter if you spend $5 or $500 you should not have to put up with a CSR with a poor attitude.

Not a store that I recommend due to lack of knowledge of automotive needs except what shows on the computer. And when ordering a part over the phone and tell you your part will be there the next day and its not and you being told it was never ordered is very unprofessional and incompetent.Ive never had an issue like this at AutoZone or OReilly auto parts.
Went in there today to make a return and get my alternator tested. They have great staff. Derrick helped me with my return, and was very friendly and great to deal with. Audrey helped with my alternator check, and was friendly and made some helpful suggestions to look into. They try to make sure the customers are well-served.

So, let me tell you, I worked at Murrays Discount Auto during the stores, our, heyday in the late 1990s at 12 Mile and Dequindre. Busiest Auto Parts Store in History. So I can officially say Advance Auto is just okay. Auto parts stores have changed with online shopping and auto stores are a pale shade of the old days. Advance Auto is nearby and convenient, selection and store design are lame, service is cold, all attitude and no personality. Loss prevention designed stores are lame. Still though a lame day at the auto store is better than nothing.
Knowledge and friendliness are in abundance here.

They had my order up that I ordered from online but only reason why I gave them four stars is they didnt ask me if I needed brake cleaner or synthetic caliper grease but other than that they were pretty good

I called at least four places to find apart for a Mercury Sable 2003. I took the old part in they matched it up. The other places I called did not have the part or seem to know how to look it up. Ive been very happy every time I go to the store and John R just north of 11 mile.
Ordered online and although they didnt pull my battery from stock and have it ready, they did get it without too much waiting.

Horrible experience. My car battery died after 10 months (I had 3 year warranty). I would have to jump start my car every morning. I contacted online support and they recommended to take the battery to the store. I took it to them and Anthony said it will take 35 min to do a quick recharge and then they can tell if its a good battery. I came back after 2 hours and asked about the battery and another person (he didnt have uniform) said it was just put on charge 15 min ago. I asked why? the reply was I dont know, I wasnt there . Then I waited until charge completed and they ran the test and said it needs a full slow charge but I have to come back next morning at 9am. I went there at 1 pm next day and the sales person (saw half of the name but I think it was Keith) took it out of the station and ran the test and said its a good battery but needs a full slow charge. I told him it was supposed to happen last night and the reply I got was I dont know, I wasnt there . So basically he gave me the dead battery and said it is good. I brought it home and tried starting the car for half hour in cold weather without any luck then I looked at the battery test results receipt they gave me. It said Battery meets or exceeds industry specifications but is low on charge. I then went and bought a new battery from Autozone and my car started fine. This is the last time I went to Advance auto part and never going again. Thanks for giving me a battery that lasted 10 months and cost $128.99.

My wife owns a 2009 Chevy Impala. It has a bad battery. It was tested already and found to be bad, I was looking for a good, long lasting battery to replace the bad one with. I walk in the store to 2 adults standing behind the counter. Theyre willing to sell me a battery, and theyre willing to take my old battery, but for some strange reason theyre not willing to put a 30mm socket to the the bar protecting the battery. We dont do those ones, meaning i want to stand in my store with 0 customers and 2 employees, and send a potential 100$ to that little oil change shop down the street. Thanks slot dudes, way to strive.

TLDR: Lazy and incompetent employees. GO TO ANY OTHER ADVANCE AUTO PARTS.Long story:Went today to get my car battery checked out but their system is not capable of finding online orders by Name or Phone number- only order number. After going home to get the order number from my computer and driving back, the same man finds it in the system and asks Wheres the battery? I ask for help taking it out of the car and he ignored my request, even though it is their product and they installed it for me when it was purchased. I have never had this issue in 10+ years of being a customer. They are usually kind and willing to help.

Ordered a oil filter in afternoon from another store farther away. Picked it up it was wrong. When I got back to outvit on wouldn’t fit. Called at 8:58 about my filter. They said they have one in stock. Literally at the corner 500ft away pulled in lot at 9:00pm they wouldn’t sell me the filter. I even have a commercial account. Not a regular walk in the door customer. Two workers on duty. 8/13/18.

I have been a regular customer of this place for years. Its close to home and the prices are competitive with the other auto parts chains. I bought a battery for my motorcycle 3 months and 2 weeks ago. Didnt ride the bike for 2 months. Went to fire it up and the battery was dead. Even though it was 2 weeks past the expiration date of the 3 month warranty, Anthony honored the warranty and replaced it for me. THAT is someone who cares about his customers! THIS is a guy who understands that a regular happy customer is far more important over the long term than the cost of a battery and an unhappy customer is in the short term. Cudos to Anthony, AND to those above him that empower him to make those kinds of sound business decisions!
Its okay, the store was clean and well organized and the employees were helpful.
Has all the auto parts of everywhere else. Employees dont know how to remove a battery. Also need to bring your receipt, its not tied to your rewards like every other auto shop. Bottom line, go somewhere else like autozone or oReillys.

I just buy basic filters, fluids, tail light bulbs, etc -- easy stuff. Too often they dont have what I need in stock. Last time, they didnt have the air filter reference book, so I had to wait in line so someone could look it up. It was out of stock. They ordered it for the next morning. When I picked it up, there was confusion because another customer had picked up their order and whoever helped him marked down that I had picked up my order instead. Not huge problems, but definitely not a 5-star place.
These guys know their stuff. My battery was an odd size, but they were able to find one that fit. It was cold as anything, and they took the time to install the battery and make sure everything worked.
I went here to get new wipers when one of mine suddenly broke. Ive changed my wipers alone dozens of times before, but the person helping me offered to do them for me. He struggled so hard with them that he actually broke one of them by popping out the wires that hold the wiper in an arc shape. Then he slapped them on and acted like everything was fine. I thought they were fine until it rained and I had to listen to the screeching sound of metal across my windshield every time the wipers worked, until I was able to get out and fix it myself, which was a 30 second job. Its frustrating that apparently some of their employees cant even change wipers. I wont be trusting them to install anything else on my vehicle in the future, but they are helpful in finding the necessary parts quickly.

She opened the door and told me its 9 when it was clearly 8:50 slammed the door in my face and said I was threatening her when clearly I was telling her its not 9. Todays date is July 28 2020If the store owner sees this please change your employees or do something about this situation. No one should go here anymore. Ignorant people its sad

Stay far away from this store. Far FAR away! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER SEEN! I never write reviews on anything but this store I had to in order to prevent others from going through the hell that I went through. I have gone to many AAP stores over the years and the customer service at this store make me so sick. With 10 years in the Sales/Retail industry I cant believe the idiots that work at this store. Took me 5 days to put new brakes on my truck. They mislabeled the new calibers I bought, than gave me 2 parts for the same side. After that, they gave me a part that had a crack in it and was leaking brake fluid. On the 4th day they order me a caliber with torx bolts on it after they gave me a good one with hex bolts and I wanted them to match so I asked them to get me one with hex bolts considering the torx strip so easily. Day 5 I came in at 6pm and they got me the wrong part again. The part came in at 9am that morning and they didnt care to call the warehouse and get me the right one. The management and employees of this store do not care about the service or care for their customers. I was so angry how after 5 days they still could not get me the part I wanted correct. I returned everything back to that store and will never give them my business again. I took my business to Oreilly Auto Parts on Woodward and they were able to get me the parts I wanted at a better price AND gave me great customer service.If you want some teenagers who think they know how to work on cars and provide you with bad customer service with the know it all attitude than go here and deal with the splitting headache. You will be getting mislabeled parts, with tons of misinformation. I suggest going elsewhere and give your business to a store that will give you the right equipment the first time and not the 10th time.
