Its filthy inside. Looks like it has never been cleaned. Everything was dirty and sticky. Food was good though but I wonder how the cleanliness of the back and food prep is. Couldnt wait to get out of there.
Love, love, LOVE this place! We dont get to come here often but the chicken salad is the best! Huge sandwiches for very reasonable prices and the staff is TOP NOTCH! I wish I could remember the names of the 2 gentlemen that helped us today but they are fantastic! An asset to Beagle Bagel.
Im visiting from out of state so this is my first visit. Staff is awesome friendly. Lox bagel was superb. Hope I can get there again.
Placed a to go order on the phone, waited 30 minutes to go pick up so it would be ready. when I got there all the staff had no idea what I was talking about, and claimed they never got my order. I even recognized the voice of the man on the phone. Along with that, the staff was in complete chaos. I asked for everything on a beagle panini and the lady forgot everything except the meat cheese and onions. I used to love this place because the food was good, but the staff at the Madison location was horrible. Go to Highland Village Beagle Bagel instead.
Not happy. I rarely leave negative reviews but I really wish we had skipped this establishment. Ordered two bagel sandwiches and was asked what we wanted for our side, and responded I didnt realize there was a side. He said you can have chips or pasta salad. We said sure, the pasta salad. We we were then rung out at the register and there was an added cost for the sides that we only accepted because they were presented as included. Before touching any food, we asked to have the pasta salad removed. We were told there needed to be a manager to refund. I dont really know if it was intentionally presented as included or not, but they really need to clarify this. I spent with tax almost $24.00 for 2 bagel sandwiches with 2 little side cups of mushy, bitter pasta salad we left behind. The world famous chicken salad had no grapes as advertised, had a lot of mayonnaise and had no visible chunks of chicken, as if it had been food processed. I also question their food handling procedures. Uncooked bacon wrapped w plastic was quickly removed from the tomatoes on front of us. The sandwiches were okay not good. I was most unhappy about being forced to pay for the unwanted sides and then the okay sandwiches provided no value either. My daughter did not think the smoked salmon was the freshest or very flavorful, the color looked weak to me. So far, we feel fine and maybe their egg bagels and bakery are worth trying, but food does not live up to the ornate and interesting building which drew us into the cafe.

My wife and I love this place. Great staff and great food. Coffee is meh.... cookies and other sweet treats are great and of coarse the bagels are legit. A few times there has been a mistake or a problem and the staff have stepped up and made it right. No questions asked. Definitely recommend this place.Only 4 stars because it’s just a bagel shop after all. It’s not like they’re going to get a Michelin Star anytime soon 😉
I eat here 2-3 times a week because their bagels are good. Their customer service is a complete joke.
This place is DISGUSTING! It’s like they completely gave up on keeping anything clean. Just look at the back of the fridge next to the salads. It’s covered in dust. The poor guy behind the counter was doing the best he could while other employees played on their phones. There were trash bags sitting on the floor, broken displays with nasty butcher paper on it. It is the complete opposite of the site in Jackson. Wish someone cared about this place as much as the other.

This place used to be quick and organized. They must have changed manager because it is badly run now. I’ve been twice recently and it’s been slow and nobody knows their role. They run to the back and then the front. It seems like they need training and be assigned a role.

We went in Sunday before lunch to order breakfast. They were out of eggs so we ordered two bagels with cream cheese, chicken salad and pancakes and bacon. The two bagels were incorrect and they didn’t offer to fix them. The three of us with food ate slowly waiting on pancakes for one of us to come. They never came and so I went to check on them and they acted like they forgot. Lady later came to our table to apologize that the grill had been off and it would be longer. I asked for money back and ordered a bagel instead. She started to give me my money back and another worker corrected her saying he had to pull the sales slip and refund my card back. Then after a very long time waiting he came back and said I needed to call back Monday because he couldn’t reach the manager and he didn’t know how to do a refund. I just wish they would have been upfront like with the lack of eggs that pancakes would take a while to prepare so we could have ordered something else. I live out of town but frequently visit this restaurant while visiting family. I was very disappointed with their lack of communication and attitude.

All our 3 kids and wife and I always enjoy breakfast here - our favorite is heated Chocolate Muffins and heated Cinnamon Rolls! with their very cold milk! Oh my goodness are they incredible!

Finger prints and smudges on all glass areas.The mayor takes pride in design of the outside of all buildings in this town. Plenty of options for everyone. Theyre not afraid to pile stuff onto/into your bagel. Youll be full when you leave, for sure.
It was great!!! It was so much to choose from, plus this was my first time ever going. I went at lunch time, and this place is right down the road from my job. Even though they were very busy, one of the workers was nice enough to help me choose the perfect beagles for my two sandwiches. This is my new favorite spot

This place is simply fantastic. No matter what you get, you and your stomach will be satisfied. I tried a panini and a bagel. Both tasted fresh, delicious and were very filling. The price is not too bad, the staff is very inviting, respectful, and efficient. The owner is beyond generous. If you are on an empty belly, please give this place a shot. You wont be disappointed.

Needed couple bagel and pastry trays last second... Ive had other places panic when show up needing 2-3dozen bagels and pastries... not Beagle Bagel Madison... these dogs can hunt. Set me up quickly with perfect party trays and all extras. Thanks!
This place was absolutely warming, spacious, and the staff were so friendly and passionate about the food. Customer service was exemplary! However, the food was just okay. The pimento cheese and bagel chips were delish! The chicken and tuna salad was very blend, forgettable. The sandwiches were okay. I would like to try one of their other location, to give this restaurant one more chance.

Very good food, I like the chicken salad bagel. My favorite dessert here is the caramel cake, it is absolutely delicious. You cant go wrong with any of the bagels, either get the chicken salad Bagel or pizza bagel.
My coworkers went to eat here for lunch today. They brought back 2 small containers of chicken salad for myself and another coworker. The chicken salad had a very vinegar taste. I assume the mayo was bad. My family has been eating here for years so I know what their chicken salad is supposed to taste like. The manager told me that this was IMPOSSIBLE BECAUE IT HAD JUST BEEN MADE and THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. He asked for a receipt, which I did not have because the lady checking them out did NOT give them one BECAUSE I PAID IN CASH. He looked on his computer and did not see where this was even purchased. He asked me if my coworkers actually came and ate there. I was treated like a liar. He did refund my money which is what I requested. Now I have waisted my lunch driving 25 minutes back and forth for nothing. What happened to customer services?
I liked the food, but the young man helping us was not excited to be working. He acted like we were bothering him. I wouldnt go back for that reason.

Where is the owner? I never see anyone who appears to be a manager at this location. The staff is rude and will put this place out of business if something don’t change soon. They seem to hate their job but don’t mind displaying the tip jar up there in your face when paying for your order. No need for me to come back. Lazy, unmotivated, rude, unprofessional.

It was our first time this morning. My wife ordered a bacon and egg plain bagel sandwich. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. Both were toasted.The taste was OK. Similar to Einstein Bagel. The bacon was undercooked and mushy. The egg was luke warm. The cheese was on the wrong bagel. It was disappointing.The staff was nice but there appeared to be some confusion on who was supposed to be handling the cooking.The mens room had a pretty dirty floor and there were no paper towels, just napkins.Theres definitely room for improvement. We wont be returning anytime soon.
The aesthetic was just all over the place, It blends in perfectly with the buildings around it, which is not a good thing, and the design work was incredibly sub-par. But the food was amazing! The chicken salad on bagel bred was just wonderful. All in all, itd a fantastic place for lunch, but its design work and feel needs work.
Service was nice, selection was okay, and prices are okay. I got the Italian panini, it was extremely oily, as if half a cup of oil was poured on it. Not very appetizing. The soup isnt very good either (got chicken noodle) but the food was still okay, I didnt hate it it just didnt impress me. There are better sandwich/soup shops.

This is one of my favorite places to get breakfast. Im not a coffee person so I cant vouch for the coffee but the bagels and Paninis are sooo goodFresh eggs and veggies with hot bagels and biscuits is hard to beat!
If you show up when theres a line, have fun waiting. Their process of moving people through, taking orders, and then ringing them is inefficient and has caused issues with orders and on a few occasions. The food is pretty good.
Staff sometimes sees aloof, but good food. Would recommend getting the Big Cheesy and adding chicken salad. Amazing combo.

The sign stayed open until 3:00 on December 24 and I asked the server to make sure of the details. I arrived to the restaurant to find a hand written sign stating they closed at 2:30 which arriving at 2:45 resulted in no birthday cake for my mom after placing the order. Thanks a lot!!! You could have called me you had my number and email.

The menu looked extensive, unfortunately I was kind of rushed, so I didnt get to look at it enough. I rushed and ordered not even a bagel. Like a dork. My panini was delicious, though. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast. The bagels looked yum, and I hope to go back and try some more. Or some, I guess, technically.

Employees are not helpful. The two women working the line were very rude and acted annoyed at everything. The food is alright. Managers definitely need to work on instilling some customer service tactics with their employees. Wont be going back.
The chicken salad is to die for a little pricey but always fresh and delicious. Staff is diverse in color which I admire being in the South and i can usually pair up thr chicken salad in different ways: on crackers or in a wrap once i get it home.

Tried to get the roast beef sandwich with mushrooms, but no onions, was told they were mixed together, so i got both. Onions were not very well sauteed and could have been reduced by careful use of the scoop, they really should think about seperating them. Food tasted good enough, just not that happy with my selection or staff assistance.
All I can say is WOW, amazing food and service.
First time there and Ill never go back. Customer service was horrible. They walked around me like I wasnt there taking care of people behind me while my food sat getting cold on the counter. Bagel was burnt. Computers were down... The bagels were very small. Einstein Bagels are far more worth it than spending money at Beagle Bagel in Madison, MS

This is NOT like the BB I was accustomed to eating at from Ridgeland on County Line Rd. I use to eat at that location at least once a week! Its rare that I make it to Madison so when I did a restaurant search and saw it was near, I had to go!Ordered the chicken salad on an everything bagel. Mayo. Lettuce. Pretty simple. Got the sandwich to go but when I got ready to eat it I like to broke a tooth on the bread because it was so hard! This is a common sandwich people, cmon lets get it right!When I went we were the only customers so they werent busy. They picked up the bagel so they had to know that it was harder than it should be.The store is in an inconvenient location IMO but so is everything else in Madison. Signs on the ground with bushes covering them? Brilliant idea! This location needs the GPS on to find it or call ahead and ask what is it near. Otherwise it will be a small miracle to find. Unless you live in Madison and have become use to looking downward while you drive. The dumbest thing Ive ever seen other than all of the bricks!Now for the positive side. The place was super clean when we were there. Tables were empty but they were all clean and so were the chairs. Staff was busy talking to each other and more concerned about their convo than waiting on us (probably why they gave us a rock hard bagel?) but since we got it to go I couldnt get them to switch it out or show my rainbow of sunshine personality when they didnt.This restaurant has a lot of potential if they could find good help. Drill sergeant for a manager? A manager who knows how to actually manage and a staff who has customers as the #1 thing on their minds. Its hard these days to find people like that but when you do, pay them well and skimp on the ones that suck royally at their supposedly job theyre (not) doing.Ive been back to this BB since the first experience and Ive ordered the exact same sandwich made the exact same way. The 2nd time my bagel was soft and delicious like its supposed to be! I always like to give a place another chance to redeem themselves before I post a bad review bc everyone has a bad day. This staff has more than one but they did finally get my order correct. Theres not a single place, be it a restaurant, office or retail, I know of that doesnt have employees who are there just for the money and stand around like in my first experience. Who kmows maybe theyre fired by now? Either way Id check your bagel for softness and your order for accuracy. Staff is the problem, not the food. The food is great! We will be returning again and trying something else out.
