Wonderful place! Ms. Edari is a Certified Chocolatier and it really shows in the high quality of her offerings. Prices are reasonable and very well presented. Definitely recommended!

An amazing chocolate experience, mixed with an awesome chat with the owner, and supporting a local business: 3 of my favorite things. This chocolate will make you feel extra af and wow, is it delicious. The range of flavors are unlike what youll find elsewhere. Cardamom flavored chocolate? 😍 Spiced pumpkin caramel tarts! Bourbon filled chocolate. I mean, come on. What more do you want out of a chocolate shop?! Let alone one where you can support local business. You need to visit this place and spend your whole paycheck. Its worth it.

The flavors were elegant, complex and perfectly presented. This is definitely a treat, you can taste the chocolatiers passion and talent in every bite. Well worth the wait for their reopening! The owner and her son were lovely.

Fantastic experience every time I’ve gone. The owner is usually always there and loves to share behind the scenes and chocolate facts of her new items. I always have a good experience and the chocolate is better than anywhere else I have been. It’s a higher price but definitely worth it.

Beautiful shop; I cant wait to be able to go there and browse again, or sit with a friend for dessert and conversation. In the meantime, online ordering and a handy pickup window are nice conveniences. The chocolate bonbons are divine, the best you can buy--a gift for someone special (or yourself).

Just Pure Perfection! How lucky we are to have this amazing local shop in Madison. Everything is absolutely delicious. Just recently tried the Passionfruit caramel and I’m pretty sure it’s the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted in my life! I stopped at CocoVaa last week to pick up a birthday gift for my mom and some extra treats for family. The tarts and bonbons were all wonderful ~ everyone loved them! The “everything” bars that the staff recommended were also a huge hit.The product was outstanding, as was the customer service. Although it was near closing time, the owner took the time to gladly and informatively answer my many questions. I highly recommend CocoVaa, which is a benefit to the Madison community.

I received a box of CocoVaa chocolate as a gift and I am blown away! The flavors are absolutely amazing. Sublime. This is going to be one of my favorite things to give people for birthdays, holidays, etc.

Vata made two different cookies for our wedding and not only were they absolutely delicious and a hit at the party, but she went above and beyond with customer service. We had to change our order a few times due to COVID, and she was so accommodating. She even gave me an emotional pep talk on the phone when I let her know our venue had canceled on us & had to change plans again! She packaged the cookies in the most beautiful way & I could feel the love she put into them. Cant wait to buy more because there were none left at the end of the night!

Recently I ordered via their website for my out of state daughter. I got the heart shaped box and to my amazment the wonderful chocolates got there in record time. I ordered on Saturday and she got them on that Tuesday --she lives in New Mexico! She was really happy!

This place.... I have been waiting to go here and it was just my luck that it was open today for the first time after all of the Covid stuff. I can’t say enough good things. I don’t write many reviews but CocoVaa deserves a review and your attention. The chocolate and service is outstanding. I ordered things I’ve never tried before and the flavors are incredible. I wish I had bought more. Some of this is supposed to be for gifts- is it wrong to keep some for myself? Bottom line-go there. You won’t regret it.

Ordered from here back in March, delivery was set for Friday, them for Saturday, then Sunday it finally came. Would not shop here again. Im empathetic to the situation, but my interaction with the owner was not pleasant. I even offered to pick up the order or accept a refund but kept being reassured it was on its way. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

I’ve eaten a bit of chocolate in my time, everywhere I travel I like to check our good quality local chocolatiers and can honestly say I’ve never had better chocolate, not in a Chicago or Vienna or anywhere on earth. Simply perfect, amazing chocolates, made by a true artisan, in a gorgeous space. They hit that ideal point between innovative and classic. Also great coffee, and occasionally bonus neat treats like handcrafted scrubs or massage. Only open weekends but definitely worth planning your day around a visit - whether to lounge & indulge or just dash in for a quick refill of the chocolate box. Amazing chocolate!

Close your eyes and pick something, you cannot go wrong at CocoVaa. There is nothing typical about her flavors, even the ones with nuts stand out do to the quality (hello Nutkrack). Her Mago passion fruit (a favorite) goes great with ice-cream and her house sprinkles. It is seriously a worthwhile treat every weekend. Also, Syovata Edari is the owner and shes as fearless as her chocolate! Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I waked through the door here at 5:05 p.m. when closing time was 5:00 p.m. I made an order for several small boxes of chocolate. This probably would’ve caused any “normal” service worker to roll their eyes. The saleswoman here, cheerful as always, said: “no problem! The chocolate and experience at CocoVaa is outstanding. No one knows how to balance flavors with chocolate like Syovata Edari. We live out of town and don’t get to CocoVaa as much as we would like to but it is a tradition in my family to visit with my nieces and nephew on their birthdays, they spend an hour tasting and the birthday kiddo gets to leave with a box of chocolates. It’s such a special treat and one they look forward to each time (me too as chocolate is my favorite food). It is also a stop we make any time we have visitors. My favorites are the hedgehogs, all of the barks, the medallions, the caramels, the hazelnut balls, any and all cakes and cupcakes. My daughter loves all of the fruit and tea/chocolate combinations. The drinking chocolate is amazing. Highly recommended!

One of those hidden gems! Its a tiny place but the chocolate is mouth watering! An absolute delight and a must if you live in the Madison area or are visiting here! There are ZERO synthetic flavorings and instead of extracts you are getting true flavor such as the mint truffle, which uses all natural mint. Its delicious! My favorite is the Mango Caramel with white chocolate! They are only open on the weekends for now. And their flavors change every weekend. Its totally worth the drive!! ❤️❤️

CocoVaa is hands down, my favorite chocolat shop. The artistry with which Vata combines flavors is incredible. Not only are her creations absolutely lovely to look at, but they are pure heaven in your mouth.Aside from the chocolates, Vata continually creates new and innovative treats, from drinking chocolate to cookies to cakes, both gluten free and not. There is truly something for anyone here.

I had recently taken my folks and SO to CocoVaa to get a taste of some of the stores Madison had to offer.We treated ourselves to an assortment of unique treats including some insanely palatable truffles (ranging from old standbys to singular assortments), fresh chocolate cake, and coffee.The owner and head chocolatier greeted us and told us the story of her business, the process of chocolate making- from harvest to production. She comes of as passionate, sincere, and level headed. Someone who I trust in curating future experiences for me and my family as well as providing us with some outstanding product.I hear theyre serving alcohol now, too. So, more of a reason to stop in.I recommend getting gifts from here or bringing in out of towners to get an idea of what it is to buy local in Madison.Plus, their coffee is primo.

Cocovaa has the best fancy chocolates in Madison. The owners are very courteous and knowledgeable too.

They are currently getting ready to move to a new location, so hours may be limited until sometime in October. Chocolates are exotic and wonderful, both visually and in flavor.
