Family in front of us didnt wear masks, laughed at the barista taking orders when she asked them to wear them, then didnt tip on a large order as punishment. The staff member remained professional and friendly the whole time. Thanks so much for dealing with people like that to keep us all safe and fill of delicious caffeine! πŸ’œπŸ’™β€οΈ

This is my go-to coffee shop on Monroe street. The baristas are friendly and know how to make good espresso drinks! I love that they also have a great variety of wine! On Tuesday they have a buy 2 special. We recently attending a virtual wine tasting, which was fabulous!

All in all a great shop I love variety of wines... The coffee was outstanding. But the sandwich I ordered was a bit bland. Not terrible... Just couldve had a bit more zest for the price. Breakfast was very good. Thank you Barriques well see you soon.

We came in on a cold, snowy day for some hot soup and a place to study. The soup and sandwich were good enough, but they are a disappointment if you consider the price versus the quality and quantity. The bowl of soup would be considered a cup in most other places. Panera has better and more food at a lower price. Barriques is a little nicer to study in.

I have been a wine of the month club member for a few years, enjoy their wine tastings from time to time and stop here for coffee on the way into work.I was shopping for the holidays and was incredibly pleased with Wendys recommendation. I bought a case of red based on her recommendation and cant wait to open the next bottle. My request was something not too expensive that will appeal to anyone. She knocked it out of the park.

There are a lot of coffee cafe and coffee roaster options in Madison these days, but theres really no place like your neighborhood Barriques. Their coffee is roasted locally, reasonably priced for an artisan, small batch roaster. And their expertly curated wine and liquor sections with easy to understand tasting notes make it simple to find the perfect beverage for your next meal. Dont pass any of their locations up when looking for the right experience and pick-me-up.

Stopped by this place and was very disappointed. Ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon, it came out on a dinner roll with microwave bacon... The quiche was tiny and more like soft eggs. Our lattes were served in glasses?? Werent hot to begin with then just continued to cool off because of the glass. Wouldnt recommend!!

Nice place, good drinks, but the fact that customers have to walk through the seating area to get to the counter to order means that its not exactly quiet and conducive to getting work done. Nice selection of wine and other alcohols available, though.

Sad. I asked the barista to pour me a decaf dark roast coffee. We dont really do that., he said. I settled for a medium roast decaf. It was so acidic it irritated my throat. I only drank half a cup. The place was not busy. The barista spent most of his time talking to a fellow employee and nothing else. He could have made a dark roast for me easily. Will not go back.

This place is a mess, sometimes its great but most of the time not so much. Customer service is lacking and the coffee is never the same. If i have to wait 10 min for my latte it should taste good, not like watered down milk. Will not be wasting my time here anymore.

Veg chili was quite good but ridiculously expensive. A bowl (looked more like a cup to me) was $5.75? It felt like 10 small spoonfuls and that was it, the bowl was empty. Im not even a big eater, Im a small person and I was way hungry after that. It felt like a small snack, or like when a fancy restaurant gives you a taste of something. For that price it should be a nice size bowl, enough for lunch. This came way short of that.

Barriques has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Where the baristas can make the best espresso/coffee in town. The food is great, and the bakery items, always an exceptional treat. The staff, is tremendously attentive, wearing smiles, and always remembering faces and your favorite drinks. Where one can gather with friends for great coversations, or stop for just a change of scenery from the standard office cube farm. :) Barriques also supports the local community, displaying and supporting the work of local artists. Which for me, adds even greater appreciation. A highly recommended stop for anyone who lives, visits, and/or passing through the great city of Madison. :)

Generally I like this place. Good coffee, good food, but this particular sandwich was about as bland and uninteresting as a sandwich can get. THE CUBAN sandwich seemed like a purchased version of what I would have thrown together in a couple minutes at home for my next days lunch. The ham was sub par and the amount of time it took to make seemed a little dramatic for the final result and presentation. If I would have used a cheap grocery deli ham and Kraft American Cheese I may have been able to craft a tastier result. That being said I still LOVE Barriques wraps and coffee drinks, but whatever you do. DONT GET THE CUBAN. This sandwich should be made as illegal as the much better cigars of the same name.

We spent over $30 on three meals for our family here. The sandwiches/ wraps were pathetically small and left so much to be desired! Wouldnt recommend the food portion of this chill cafe to my worst enemy! (We ordered the Turkey avocado sandwich, the BLT wrap, and the grilled cheese for our kids to share)
