My favorite place for a hot chai tea latte and a cookie or muffin. They have the nicest employees. Ive encountered that at all three stores in Madison. Its always worth the wait.

They have great coffee! My favorite order is the XL Jamaican cold brew which will keep me going all day! The staff is awesome. The drive through lines can be ridiculous but that just tells you the coffee is good!

Love the drinks that I get from this place. Always friendly service and rather quick. The car line is usually crazy long but worth it.

Great menu with a ton of variety. We purchased 5 different beverages and all were great. They also came out in a super timely fashion. The shift leader Hannah who took the order AND made the drinks was the epitome of hospitality and grace. Kudos!!!

Their coffee and overall vibe is impeccable, but the drive thru only model bothers me. First of all I hate being in my car. Vehicles emit the worst pollution when they are idling, and there are often cars backed up out of the lot. This is a great coffee shop for the electric vehicle era.

Honey. Honeyhoneyhonaayyy. You’re supposed to increase strength on iced drinks so that you don’t end up with a watered down embarrassment like this when someone tries to get an iced americano. This tastes like backwash. I paid 3.50 for a single shot of espresso dispersed across 16 oz of water (“small”) LOLOLOL.Can somebodyy pleasee teach the owner of this company how to make a decent cup of coffee 😂😂

Listen I have had a ROUGH day (month, hell year) but something told me to come here today to get a blended Oreo drink and I listened. I am so glad I did. It was amazing but that really wasn’t the best part. The two ladies working did. Their conversation was much needed and made me smile for the first time today. I have no idea who they are or their names but I appreciate them greatly. I feel bad because I was not able to tip them using my credit card and don’t carry cash these days. So I wanted to be sure I mentioned these two ladies so that the owners tell them that they are doing a good job personally. To the ladies working on Friday night on 2/26 I appreciate you immensely! This is where I go to get a white mocha, 12 oz.I go to both East Wash locations depending. The staff is so great!

I come here often and usually have good experiences, the last time I came in I heard staff worrying about possibly getting covid due to their manager being forced to come in (due to short staffing) despite him being extremely ill. He had fever/chills and probably covid. One worker even walked out because she was so baffled by management forcing the manager to still come in!

Ive been buying my whole bean pounds of coffee here for the last three years. Their Jamaican coffee is extremely good. I went there today to get my pound of whole bean coffee and found out they switched to 12 oz bags instead of 16 oz bags which is a pretty huge reduction. Im not sure what prompted the change but I just personally feel disappointed with this change. It feels like I am paying more money for less product. The staff here are great and the service is phenomenal but I cant see myself coming here just to feel disappointed.

I just paid twice as much as I used to pre-p@ndemic for the same beverage... and I am told they get their Jamaican roast from a different roaster than they used to. Its not as good, imo. Service is still great, but ouch on my wallet.

Starbucks & Dunkin can go to... nevermind! Im Petty ah and oh well! But Mokas needs to be everywhere. it shouldnt take 5-10 business minutes to order one got dang coffee from bougjee ah Starbucks and lets not talk about their barista b.s. seriously??? Lastly, the one on E. Washington Ave near old Ellis Deli is amazing and the staff. Thanks ladies and Gents. Im actually doing this review on got dang purpose. One of our favorite stomping grounds to get some fresh grounds! Great abs friendly service with quality drinks being made. Its always pretty busy, but definitely worth the wait. Try their seasonal drinks or their espresso. They also make some great pastries too.

What a great place for coffee and a little something sweet! We pulled in this morning- my newborn son was fussing and I was trying to calm him as best I could. The lady taking our order saw I was struggling and offered me a muffin on the house (which was out of this world) lemon poppyseed! I was so tired and famished- drinking that hot latte and an added bonus muffin was exactly what this mom needed. Would highly recommend!

One of my favorite coffee shops in town. Every hot drink Ive gotten, has been the perfect temperature to drink right away without burning mouth.If you havent been here before, the car lines can be long and go out into E Wash.If you like to tip, you cant add a tip to a debit/credit card.

Moka on East Wash is awesome. Their menu is pretty no frills, which is just fine with me. Im not normally a fan of flavored coffee, but their Jamaican is great. It gives a touch of sweet, will negate the need for sugar if you are the type who might only add a packet, and is very good hot or cold brew. Everyone here is always really nice, though I am caught amusingly off guard that they always call me sweetie, as me being sweet is debatable. Nonetheless, with their ample enough tea and coffee selection, you will probably always be able to find something for your tastes when you go through.

Lots of options, wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. When the drive thru gets busy, they will come out with a tablet to take your order.

I love this place! Not going to lie I was a die hard only getting Starbucks because it was safe for me well let me tell you my many experiences with the ladies here. The first time I went my first thought was “how can I make my Starbucks a thing” the lady came out and we talked for a minute and I took opinions which turns out I now get like 3 times a week. Every morning I go there is some kind of laugh or small chat that doesn’t seem extremely forced or weird. Today though was amazing to me. Being in any big town there’s homeless and now that it’s colder it’s harder to not notice. The barista came out with snacks for him and he politely declined but when I got to the window I said that was nice and she said “I’m questioning my snack choices i offered” not only was she giving up something but it hit her that maybe he would have taken something else. I love this place and will continue to go daily 😂😬

Drive thru is the best, especially in Wisconsin winters! Delicious coffe, and super fast service even in the am before work when there are long lines. An employee comes out to the parking lot to take your order, so as soon as you pull up your coffee is ready amd you pay and leave. Very efficient. Only gripe is the have a cheese and herb croissant on their menu and I have tried to order it almost every time, yet I have never tasted it, because it has never actually been in stock.

Moka is always better than that one chain that shall remain nameless. The staff must drink a lot of coffee because they are always personable, full of energy and willing to please.Have a sportea.

I am amazed that I can sip Moka’s espresso with delight and think about the delicious flavors I am tasting versus what can I put in this burnt espresso to make it taste better. Also, thank you for making the mocha not taste like I am drinking a Hershey’s chocolate bar.

Quality coffee. Also, the drive through aspect feels appropriate during the current pandemic (compared to going into a coffee shop). However, beware the line can get long and lead out onto the street

Wish y’all had a place in the Twin Cities! Every time we drive by on our way to Chicago or Michigan, we stop by here on the way out and on the way in (if they are still open)! The coffee is awesome (only once did the coffee taste burnt; i.e. like someone put their cig in the coffee). Support small businesses because their coffee is better than Starbucks honestly. I’m a regular here. I’ve been going to almost all of the Madison locations for the past four years on just about a daily basis. I currently have been going to the one on the west side because it is closer to where I live. However, this evening I was on the east side of town, and I have to say, after my interactions with one of their employees, whom when I asked her name, she told me it was Kat/Cat? I will never, ever be returning to another MOKA ever again! After the way she disrespected me and how rude she was, I honestly was able to see their true colors and the way they actually operate. I will never again support this coffee shop, EVER! I have been to plenty of coffee shops in my lifetime and to be honest, I have never been treated so horrible! So with that being said, you just lost a good customer.

We love moka! :) We often come here for the kids smoothies when they deserve a treat. All of the baristas are very friendly and make every drive thru fun and enjoyable. They make cute little faces on the kids cups too and always have a new sticker on my Jamaican coffee or cafe miel. Would recommend to anyone!

I pulled up and there was a beautiful young lady taking out 2 very heavy bags of trash. Even though she was carrying the bags, she in a very friendly and polite way walked over to my vehicle and asked if she could take my order. I wasnt up to the order area yet but she offered to get my order started to get me going faster. This was as great of a level of service as I have received anywhere! Thank you and to the owner, your east Washington Avenue staff is fantastic!

Im not the kind of person who ever stops for a cup of coffee in the morning but recently went to Moka and was incredibly impressed. Their place functions like a well-oiled machine and everyone is just so incredibly friendly. I was absolutely blown away by how speedy they were, the quality of the iced coffee I got, and the friendliness of the staff. They are always so upbeat and truly seem to enjoy their job and each other. Just an amazing place!!

I love this coffee shop! Its one of my favorites in all of Madison. I come frequently with my friends. They have coffee, hot chocolate, tea, bakery treats, smoothies, a kids menu, and oatmeal. Ive tried many things here and Im always satisfied. This place is never a let down. Service is fast and friendly. And they have a drive through as well as a front lobby. No complaints here! I love it.
