Cozy place to eat inside AND out. Quick service with tasty food

They let me order 5 minutes before closing time, AND sit dine in while they closed up. Very hospitable, amazing service. Egg sandwich never fails. And so much other veggie, vegan, and carnivore options. The major demerit is low quality creamer for good coffee. It’s a shame to put Nestle to-go creamer in Bloom coffee, so i skipped it. I think they have better in-house creamer they serve in a metal tin.

Consistently good food. Love the tables they have set up in the parking lot.

I usually dont like cupcakes, but Ill devour a hundred of these. So soft and the best frosting. Weve also enjoyed our breakfast, fantastic potatoes and fruit sides.

Kelly at Daisy Cupcakery did an excellent job catering our wedding. We have family with both nut allergies and wheat sensitivities. I had tried to call many bakeries around town; everyone kept telling me they could not accommodate. I was so excited to find Kelly who was easy to work with. She delivered the cupcakes to our venue and set up a display. The cupcakes were awesome. It was fun to be able to have a variety of flavors. Highly recommend this business.

I stopped in the other day for lunch takeout. I ordered the Mac and cheese with grilled chicken. It was really good and prepared fast and hot. Staff were friendly and made conversation as I waited.

Ordered our breakfast over the phone to go, arrived and it was packed. Wonderful place. Great for Gluten free food. Very friendly staff and very good food. Highly recommend this restaurant. Ordered extra potatoes because theyre so good, I suggest you do the same!

Excellent gluten free and vegan options and the outdoor seating is extremely widely spaced and they ask groups to sit with a table in-between to add to the social distancing. Waitress wore a mask outside and disposable cutlery and napkins were provided. Not to mention we arrived 25 minutes before they opened for dinner and the great waitress took our order and provided drinks in the mean time!

We had a lovely experience with the outdoor dining. It took a while for our food to arrive, but our server brought out our drinks early on and communicated well with us so we knew she hadn’t forgotten us. The food was delicious and worth the wait. I love that they had sidewalk chalk outside for the kids and bowls of water for furry guests.

Daisy Cafe is a wonderful local restaurant. Their menu and hours are abbreviated these days but you should definitely keep supporting them. Theres lots of options available for how youd like to enjoy your food safely. All the staff are wonderful, gracious people. And the cupcakes are simply divine.

Great food. Dont miss their weekend biscuits and gravy. And of course, dont go home without a cupcake!

I really appreciate Daisy Cafe and Cupcakerys steps theyve taken to provide a safe eating experience during COVID. Outdoor, socially distanced dining of great cupcakes, coffee, and food. Its perfect.

I wanted to love this place. My coffee was syrupy sweet. They forgot to put in our order. By the time my partners food came he had waited over an hour after a 30 min wait to get seated and I had already finished my food. They comped our meal which was appreciated. Poor service and mediocre food.

Had a Really nice, affordable dinner here. Outdoor dining was lovely, server was attentive, friendly. Everything came out super quickly. Definitely recommend the Mac and cheese.

Cute neighborhood diner with gourmet breakfast items and killer cocktails. Delicious assortment of baked goods. Very supportive of local nonprofits such as Porchlight (to help end homelessness) and the Dane County Humane Society.

Go on the weekend for the biscuits and gravy. Stratas are amazing. Love this place.

Cute and Kitchy! Fast becoming one of my favorite places. The food and service has been great both times Ive been here, Im new to Madison. Went there for in the afternoon for coffee and dessert the first time. The mocha coffee and no flour chocolate cake was delightful and creamy. I went back for breakfast this past weekend and it was packed and they did not disappoint. I will make sure to bring cash for future visits but they do take cc.

Very cute brunch spot. I went around noon on a Sunday and only had to wait about ten minutes. They have a lot of breakfast and lumch options. Vegetarian friendly and yummy desserts!

Very pleasant atmosphere sitting at an outdoor table in the shade. Wait staff couldnt remember to bring extra pitcher of water and salt and pepper (for the bland food). They were out of one of the 4 beers and out of lemon slices. Cole slaw portion was small and it was bland and sort of dry. Fish and potatoes were ok. We were there at 5pm on a Wednesday--not peak time--so not sure why supplies were low and staff seemed overwhelmed. It was nice that they provided chalk for kids to draw on the pavement. .

Breakfast was pretty good diner food, my eggs and steak were each cooked to what I wanted. The cupcakes might seem innocuous but theyre the real deal, very rich to nibble at with a coffee.I got the sense they had recently hired 2-3 new servers, if not more. There was some confusion with my order and an older woman (I think the owner?) had to break up side conversations and get things moving again. Theres a part-time baristas wanted sign up front, even though they had enough people staffed for a Saturday. You could tell from their movement speed which baristas were anticipating a busy morning. These are interesting times for food service workers; most arent paid very well so theres high turnover, when investing in a core team with competitive pay has better results long-term. Id be interested to see if theres a whole new Saturday crew next month.

Excellent location. We spent a few hours in the outdoor patio (former parking lot). Love the idea of having all their outside space with tables. Everything in the menu is delicious!!!Ideal place to visit with your family of a group of friends.

The service and vibe is awesome. The cupcakes are fantastic, I need to post a picture of them 😋.The food is good but not one of the best breakfast Ive had in town. I got an egg strata that looked phenomenal and I thought it was bland. However this was only one dish and I saw so many other items on the menu I would love to try.So while I dont recommend the mushroom strata, I would recommend this place and I will be back to try other dishes!

I went there a few weeks ago with a few of my friends. It was rainy so we ate inside. Really nice atmosphere. I would say kind staff and amazing burgers! I will most defiantly come back sometime!

Daisy is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Madison. The food is delicious and the service is always wonderful. I highly recommend their breakfast sandwich with bacon, avocado, and tomato - it’s excellent. All of the cupcakes I’ve had from here have always been great, too. Overall, an excellent spot to grab a bite to eat!

Excellent breakfast here with our two dogs. The waitstaff was so warm and accommodating. Trans affirming restrooms and an overall queer affirming space - would highly recommend! The huevos rancheros were amazing and my partner says the gluten free cupcake was “the best I’ve ever had!”

For our first time eating here we had a great experience with really good food. Our waitress Julie was fantastic.

This is an incredible place to get brunch. We had a group of 9 and had good room to sit and enjoy. I had a small bite of my friends chorizo gravy....I recommend it or one of the stratas... or one of anything. Great food.

What a darling place . My husband and I enjoyed our 3rd anniversary luncheon here i had a ham, gruyere cheese sandwich and my husband had the fish sandwich he said best fish sandwich ever we will definitely be back and super close to obrich botanical gardens (3min)

I went for early dinner... service was slow food was ok... daughter had mac n cheese... it was real cheese, but needed more milk or cream as it was like cement ....seems like theyre more a breakfast place. I might go back to check out breakfast

There is limited parking on site, but there is street parking. They have indoor/ outdoor seating, properly spaced during COVID times. Our server was great, the food/cupcakes were delicious. There are vegetarian & gluten free options. They do take credit cards, but prefer cash. The ATM wasnt working when I was there (or it was off limits cause of COVID).

The quality of the food and coffee is great. I shared the huevos rancheros with chorizo and the bfast sandwich. We got a few cupcakes to go and cant wait to try them. I love the thrifted furniture and chill setting. I highly recommend this spot of your in Madison ☺️.

Slow and bad customer service. Got here right at 12pm lunchtime, all tables were taken besides one that had two plates on it after someone left. The sign out front says seat yourself, so I did. I was looking at the menu and waiting and this girl comes to the table all frantic asking if I sat myself. Yes I did. She said people usually come inside first to wait and sit. But the sign says seat yourself? Then she says step away from the table so I can clean it. Like what, step away?? Am I a criminal haha? Then literally runs back with a rag, I’m like it’s okay no rush and asked are you okay? Says yeah I’m fine and doesn’t ask me anything or takes my order.. (also no vegan options just a heads up)

Daisy’s is currently offering plenty of options for customers to have a safe dining experience: easy curbside service, lovely heated outdoor dining, and spaced out indoor dining. We are just doing curbside dining right now for ourselves, but it was a super easy process. They have a nice chunk of space with parking right by the front door. Food was all delicious as always. We’ve never had a bad meal there. The cupcake my mom wanted was sold out, but we ordered about 45 minutes before close. They do sell out of cupcakes, but almost always have at least a few choices even near close. Most recently, I had their grilled cheese with veggies which was fantastic. Make sure to get the edamame salad as your side or the breakfast potatoes! And if you’re stopping by for breakfast, their pancakes not only support housing for homeless in Madison, but they’re delicious too!

This place is absolutely delicious meals and breakfast is my thing, but you must try meatlof and sloppy Jose.Really good food made with really good ingredients. Very popular on a Sunday morning, but worth it if you can get a table. Huevos rancheros are amazing, as are the bakery cup cakes and Coffee was very good also. Know that this is a very small restaurant with cozy seating, so if you have a big group, or you personally need a lot of space, you might have an issue

Really 4 1/2 stars. Nice place. Yummy foods. A little bummed that my good old fashioned breakfast didnt come with a homemade bread toast. Great otherwise.

Really like it here, funny never had a cupcake here but enjoy going for breakfast on the weekends! Favorite dish is the salmon omelet, but doubt you can go wrong with anything. Good mix of meat, vegetarian, and perscararian options on the menu!

Brunch was delicious! The outside seating is nicely spaced, and its nice to see the tables being sanitized so thoroughly. The coffee needed to cool down for quite a long while and I had hoped for more than little plastic cups of creamer, but things may be unusual with service outside.

1st timer at this place, service was great, also this omelette and fruit was excellent!

Food wise Daisy cafe only gets a two star rating, but the waitress was incredibly friendly and the outdoor seating very nice and socially distanced. I had the chicken pesto goat cheese sandwich and my boyfriend had the chorizo burger. my sandwich did not have goat cheese on it which is the whole reason I got that sandwich, so that was a little disappointing but the waitress brought out some for me to put on it. My boyfriend was less than impressed by the burger, and both of us noticed a lot of grease had leaked through the bottom of the paper plates - so the food overall is pretty greasy.

The food & service was great! They are seating outside but had plenty of space for social distancing. Love that they give fresh fruit as a side of kids meals & some adult meals.

Kitchen was down @ 2pm. All they had to eat were cupcakes (1 of each flavor). The table and menus were dirty (which doesnt make sense since we were the ONLY customers there. The espresso machine wasnt working, so we had to get coffee instead. The coffee had way too many grounds in it for it not being French pressed. Even the ice water tasted like dishwater. All around bad experience.

Good food, a ton of well-spaced outdoor seating, and really good sanitation practices. Plus, cupcakes! Get there early for a shady spot. Every table does have an umbrella, but theyre kind of smallish relative to the long length of the tables. The tables are long picnic style, so you can eat with friends and still be several feet down the table from them. Very helpful for covid19.

We love, love, love Daisy!!! A mish mash of different tables and chairs and the great art everywhere give the place a great ambiance. People working there are really nice and add to the comfortable atmosphere.Start with a mimosa, then plan to spend a little time with the varied menu. Stratas are great, lots of meatloaf choices, vegetarian options, and their fruit plate is excellent - so many wonderful choices.. Boyfriend likes the salmon a lot!Update 4/2021: Daisy is alive!!! Tables outside and distanced seating inside. Recommended - huevos rancheros with house made chorizo and a Supper Club beer. Celebrate!!!

I require gluten free and vegan. I had the Veggie Enchilada with beans and rice. The waitress went out of her way to make sure everything was vegan and gluten free for me. She was helpful and attentive. The food was delicious! I will be back again when visiting Madison!

I like the homey atmosphere. The service is excellent and friendly. We ordered the Chili-Espresso Steak Hash and Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese and Pesto and it tastes phenomenal. Their espresso coffee is really good. Dont forget to grab some cupcakes (gluten free is available) to finish up your meal.

My sister sent me the info for daisy’s as I am having a hard time finding a gluten free cupcake that is just right. The chocolate cup cake I tried was moist and the cream cheese frosting was perfect not too sweet and I wish I had gotten some to go! My fiancé has been very picky and he also loved the cupcakes that he tasted which is why we have decided to go with them for our wedding cake!!! So excited the place is cute and we really loved the art work display of cakes on the wall and the friendly staff!!

Daisy Cafe was a cozy local Cafe that we happened to come upon. We visited The weekend before Christmas. The atmosphere was very friendly and the owners were giving away hot chocolate for the holiday season. Our water was friendly, courteous and quick. The two most try things here are the warm Apple cider and the chili. We tried the chocolate peppermint cupcake too. The buttercream frosting way light and delicious. I will definitely be going back.

I had the salmon omelet it was good, someone in my party had the huevos rancheros and he wouldnt stop taking about it the whole drive home! We had the opportunity to try some cupcakes and they were magnificent!

Good food for the price, nothing fancy but an excellent variety. Always nice servers. My daughter loves the book section. Gets too chilly in the dining area during colder months. Love that they offer awesome cupcake flavors and used the for a personalized order that turned out great.

70° in November! Gotta have a last go at eating outside at DCC. Wisconsin smash burger and fried potatoes were absolutely tops -- messy but highly recommend.

I always try to provide grace and space during covid, especially for restaurants. Stopped in for breakfast and the person taking our order (owner or manager) was not friendly. Our order came out Incorrect. Breakfast potatoes were way undercooked. Food was not up to previous experience. Side of toast never came and no server returned so I had to go inside and ask for a refund.

Daisy is always good. They have a huge menu with tons of different options, gluten free, vegan. My boyfriend got the cheese curd burger and I got the grilled veggie sandwich. Of course we got some strawberry champagne cupcakes to go with that! So very good!
