I just got home from Eyemart Express (4208 E. Washington Ave, Madison, WI) and it was the most wonderful experience!! This is my second time going to them including the exam! What a joy each and every one of these ladies are!! It was my pleasure to meet & work with each one. And they were all very knowledgeable as well. Thank you all for a very enjoyable time!!

Customer service is better than some eyeglass shops but has room for improvement. You likely wont be acknowledged & you may wonder if someone is helping you or not as they seem to just walk away or say very little to you. You also may not get called as they said you would.Glasses & frames are decent. Reasonable prices & a variety of options.

My exam was done so efficiently. All of the staff were extremely kind and helpful. First experience here and they made it wonderful!

Got two pair of fashionable glasses for my son plus an eye exam for less than $200. He has a heavy Rx and this included the thinner lens. The icing on top was that they make the glasses in house so they were ready in about 25 minutes. All around great value.

I took my prescription in. I wanted no lines . O got 2 pair for the price of one. They look great on me. One pair was made in to sunglasses. Love them. Kari was great helping with everything. She is the best.

They have fixed my glasses and replaced the frames on two different occasions, for free. They were under warranty! And they are always so friendly and have wonderful sense of humor! They are very customer oriented and truly do a wonderful job problem solving and making sure you have a great experience!!! Highly recommend them! And you get glasses same day!

I have been doing business with Madison East Eyemart Express for over a decade and they have always had stellar service. I have never once had a bad experience with them. They have a solid selection and I would recommend their service to anyone in need.

I called them up on Saturday 10 minutes before close the lady that answered the phone was so nice she said come in on Tuesday and we will get your glasses. So when I went to the store everyone was so nice and ready to help. When I picked out my frames for my glasses she helped tell me if I looked go in them or not. Great customer service and very friendly and fast service glasses are done the same day. Im definitely coming back there and sending my friends and family.

The manager is extremely high strung. She will absolutely drain your energy whether shes being (fake) nice or Bad Manager. Very pushy when shopping. Bad manager will be condescending and make horribly rude comments. She accused me of only needing glasses for a couple weeks - after Id become so offended I asked for a full refund (instead of upgrading lenses on a pair). Oh yeah: first visit she screamed her head off to a guy in Lense-making dept that she was the boss...do what [she] says!!! SCREAMING! Avoid her NMW if you can!Everyone else are suited and qualified for their positions, are genuinely nice, and are respectful. Glasses are just okay.

I wish I could rate the service I got on the exam different then the section that you get your glasses from. I would give the exam portion 5 starts. The optometrist is very friendly and knowledgeable. The receptionist that works with the optometrist is wonderful as well. The exam process went very quick. I was really surprised how how efficient the doctor was with both my exam and my kids exam. We all three went at the same time and it was very quick. I will for sure be getting me exams here but will never get classes here again.! I am very disappointed. I had to get my eyes dilated so my daughter picked out a pair of glasses prior to me getting my eyes dilated. When it was time to discuss getting the glasses the associate was very pushy in getting my daughter to pick a more expensive frame because our insurance covered up to a certain amount. I told her that my daughter was happy with the glasses she picked out. I told the associate my eyes were dilated and could not see very well so it would be hard to go through the options. Its probably my fault and should have just said I would come back, but my daughters knew what glasses she wanted. I told the associate I had wanted the coating that helps when you are on the computer,. She never went through the different lens with me or different options. She just asked me if I wanted the scratch resistance. I got home and realized I was charge like $30 for a warranty. I never agreed to a warranty. She never even talked about a warranty. I will be calling the store regarding that as well. The associate was not friendly at all & just pushed me to use my insurance money for more expensive frames. Just because my insurance gives me a certain dollar amount does not mean I need to use it. I am very disappointed in the glasses part of the visit. The selection is very limited for frames as well. I will no longer be getting my frames from Eyemart unless something changes. As I said before I felt very pressured to use my insurance money. Not a very good tactic at all. I also ended up paying for my daughters glasses which is completely fine, but the associate did not explain what the extra charges were for.

I worked with Kari at the Madison East Eyemart by East Towne. She was Excellent. She went above and beyond giving me a really good explanation of all the choices so I was able to choose exactly what I wanted. And if I had a question on something she explained it in greater detail all while being happy and cheerful. I will definitely be coming back to Eyemart when I need new glasses. Great Job Kari

I just needed glasses not an exam. Really expensive for a self serve experience. Customer service people nice but clearly have minimal training on selling or fitting eyeglasses. Unable to answer basic questions about lenses and coatings. When picked up glasses, they did not adjust them or have me try on. Just handed them to me and said come back if they don’t fit right. Which of course I had to do. You could buy same quality with self service experience on line for 1/3 of the cost at Zenni or a similar site. Do not recommend.

Didnt even know I needed glasses before I went in. Dr. Dawn was very professional. When she removed the exam lenses, I saw how much my vision was actually blurred. While selecting the frames, Kari was super helpful! All of the staff there was great. The place was also REALLY clean! They went above and beyond to limit the number of people in the office at once, and were constantly cleaning frames and tables. Disappointed that I finally needed glasses, but very happy with the service. Reasonably priced too.

Came with my son to purchase. They were pretty busy, however, no one said anything about signing in to get helped. My son picked out his glasses and we waited only to realize about 15 minutes later that a bunch of people that came in after us were getting help sooner. It would really have been nice to be told that we needed to sign in.

I was absolutely in love with my experience. I had my appointment at 530 and was in and out and done with my glasses by 640 pm! I loved the different options and how well my associate explained my lens options and insurance and even did it to save me money under there deals instead of insurance co pay!!!!!! So impressed I am actually taking my two kids that need glasses to get their glasses there!

I thought I was getting decent glasses, but somehow one pair of my glasses was made with more expensive lenses while the other was plastic lenses. Which were also broken when I got them! Now Im here trying to fix my lenses and Im told that I got what I ordered, even though I cant see out of them. This place will scam you if given the chance. Buyer beware! I finally got one pair of glasses back after a week that they messed up in their lab. I dropped off my other pair because the lenses in this pair were also defective. I was told they would be ready in an hour (I was the only person in the store shortly after they had opened for the day). I called an hour and a half later to be told that they messed up making my lenses again! And that it would be another half hour before they were done. These lenses had better be perfect because Im done going to this store ever again! Thats 2 times they messed up my lenses while making them and had to redo them. Very unprofessional! So Im here again because the 2nd pair of lenses in both of my glasses have either a scratch or smudge marks on them. So the manager goes back to the lab and I can hear her yelling at someone. Now Im going to be on my 3rd pair of lenses for glasses that i got weeks ago. After they get my lenses right I wont be back again for glasses from here. 4th pair of lenses still chipped and scratched. Lets give the 5th pair a try. This place has completely gone down hill. I cant believe it takes multiple pairs of lenses to get ones that arent chipped or scratched. And they go through an inspection! Maybe by a 5 year old? Looks like Ill be getting a 6th pair of lenses since the ones Ive been waiting a week for all have scratches on them. After I finally get my lenses correct I wont ever be back! Nor will I recommend eye mart to anyone. Ive worn glasses for 40 years and never had such an issue getting quality glasses!

The staff and optometrist are very professional and helpful. I had issues with my insurance company, and the manager, Lucas, and Kyle did everything they could to get me the best deal on my glasses. They went above and beyond, and their help was appreciated. The tech, Shannon, was extremely helpful in assisting me in picking out my frames. I drove over an hour to visit this location, and it was worth it!

Went in to get glasses that are covered by my insurance. Found a cute pair that was cheaper than what the insurance plan covered. Sales person was super helpful in the beginning. When we got to the counter, she tried to sell me all the extra services and even after explaining to her that i didnt want them, she got angry and snippy.We also watched the other sales person put very little effort into helping a customer that didnt speak enough English.Choice of frames was good. Glasses were ready in 7 minutes!!

The doctor who did my exam was very pretty, polite, and professional. The lady at reception was also very kind and courteous.The lady in the sales section for fitting glasses seemed a little rude though. I was told to ask her for my pupilary distance but when I asked her if she could measure it for me she told me that she couldnt do it unless I bought glasses from her. The sales lady told me to ask the doctor and the doctor had the lady at reception take it for me. Its really not hard to do and I had just paid for an exam so Im not sure why I got the round about.All in all I would return for an exam again in the future but would probably avoid the people up front.

My wife and I called to see if they could possibly get us in and with no fuss they had us set up with an appointment within a matter of a couple minutes. We both got in and out of our exam rather quickly. The ladies helped with finding and explaining frames with the utmost knowledge and had them ready for us to wear our new glasses out of the office in 45 minutes. We will definitely be going back to Eyemart for all of our optical needs!!

My son broke his only pair of glasses so we needed to get some quick! Eyemart provided that. Although we wound up missing the close time, two pairs were ready within an hour as promised. We didnt need an eye exam, so I can’t say much about that, nor have we had an issue that needed handling, but our overall current impression is very positive. Nice people, reasonable prices on glasses, and done quickly! Exactly what we needed.

I needed to get a replacement pair of glasses for my grandson. He had his eye exam in another state and it was still valid so I shopped around for the best and most efficient solution. The employees at Eyemart Express were so helpful and we ended up getting a new pair of glasses and a spare pair for less than one pair at any other place we checked with! Were so happy that we plan to go there for all our vision needs too!

I was impressed with how fast the process was. I got my exam in right away and after picking my frames, my glasses were ready in under 5 minutes. My only complaint is they never visually checked how my glasses fit to make sure they were a good fit. They just asked me how they felt. I had a very good experience at Eyemart Express on E Washington St, in Madison! Shannon B. Was the most pleasant, and cheerful person that I have dealt with in a very long time! The people who did my eye exam were equally as pleasant! I might need to go back for some fine tuning of my new prescription though.

Dr. Dawn is amazing, shes thorough, but efficient! You can tell she really knows what shes doing, and wants to get it exactly right for you. I went from, Whats that sign say? to being able to count the hairs on my dogs face from a distance! Combined with cheerful techs, and speedy service, I cant recommend this place enough!

This is completely random and long overdue but I happened to be visiting Madison on a business trip a couple of years ago and failed to pack my contact lenses. I arrived at Eyemart in a panic as I would have to drive almost 4 hours one way in order to obtain my contact lenses. I spoke to a lovely women by the name of Tammy who gave me a pack of sample lenses to allow me to get by for my time in the city. Bottom line if not for her hospitality I would have been driving all night. Again I know Its long overdue but sincerely THANK YOU Tammy and the entire Eyemart Express team.

Its alright, customer service is fairly poor, customers will have to wait hours in line at the physical store. Or be promised to be called back on the telephone to place an order and never get a call back.For example today I called. Talked to Stephanie, she said she was busy and took my number and promised to call in 5 minutes. After half an hour I called them back. Another woman answered my call and put me on hold, eventually i got off hold and was told Id be called back soon. But it had been busy. I told her I was upset I was lied to about the five minute time frame, and wouldnt have been upset if she had just been honest and said a longer but more accurate amount of time.It has been three hours and I havent been called back by anyone.The prices at Eyemart Express are low. But the shop is understaffed severely or with employees who arent able to keep up with the workload for whatever reason. I probably wont be returning, there are other low cost places in town that are able to work more quickly or at least wont lie to me.

I broke my only pair of glasses on a Saturday morning. I expected that a quickie eye place would give me glasses good enough to get me to a new pair made at my regular optimist. I picked up my new glasses in 1 hour and they are the best glasses I have had in a long time. My frames fit perfectly, my no line trifocal prescription was made perfectly. I doubt that we will be getting glasses anywhere else ever again.

The service with the staff and the optometrist was superb. Every exam and steps were explained thoroughly. The prices were reasonable and i waited for less than an hour to get my two pairs of glasses.

$421.00 for one pair in 10 - 14 days. It is not what they advertised! Clerks were pleasant enough, but same day service is only available if you don’t want anti reflective UV coating.

First off, the eye exam went really well. If i could rate that separately i would give the doctor a 5 star rating. After the exam it was nothing but issue after issue. After getting the frames picked out and all the paperwork finalized i noticed they had been using the paperwork of someone else that was not me; so i had to go through the entire process again.... After getting it corrected and getting the lens choice picked out, the individual helping me had received the wrong lenses from the lab, after they realized the mistake they stormed back to the lab and i could hear them yelling at someone from the lobby... We finally got through everything and finalized the paperwork and transaction. Came back to pick them up about 30 mins later( was told 2 hour wait time), i get them to find the lab had not completely cleaned off the markings they use to line up the cut(said from manager) even with a glass cloth it would not come off. Took them back in to have to wait another 10 mins to wait for them to figure out how to get it off.... Overall after a bit of a headache my glasses turned out correct. If I wasnt restricted by my insurance to use an Eyemart, I would go elsewhere in the future.

Fast and efficient optometrist visit and a very fast turn around on my new glasses. A little bit of waiting in between but not unreasonable. After I got checked out and helped with my insurance I only had time to go get coffee next door and they texted that they were done!

I was totally impressed. The exam with Dr Butts and the staff the best I remember anywhere. Quick and cordial. Answered my questions with straight answers .The fitting was great as well and glasses done in 30 minutes.

My son broken his glasses the day after graduation and was due to take a military test in a few days. The insurance wouldn’t cover a replacement pair! I called Eye Mart and brought in a coupon they pulled up my sons prescription and in 20 minutes he had new glasses for twenty dollars even! Beat that for customer service!!! The best!

I purchased 2 pairs of eyeglasses and had a protection plan on another pair. The service was excellent I was treated with the utmost respect in picking out my glasses and the sales clerk apologized because she was new but her smile and helpfulness overcame any obstacles. My 3 pairs were ready in less than an hour and the clerk that gave them to me put them in cases and made sure they fit right. Their service superceeded the west store by far. Thank you so much.

Im giving Eyemart Express 5/5 Stars for 2 Reasons:1) They are the fastest & least expensive eye glass store Ive ever been to. Hands down.2) My husband was in a bad accident in March and he was in ICU for a long period of time. He was unable to go to their store to get new glasses and they used his most recent prescription and picked out similar frames to make a new pair for him. The staff were more than willing to go above and beyond and we are so grateful for their help during that rough time!!

I am so happy with my prescription sunglasses! I don’t always want to wear my contacts to be able to wear sunglasses when it’s bright outside and my Rx sunglasses were ready in about a half hour, not an hour! Yay! Cannot beat the price for attractive eyewear that I can see clearly through either, and in such a short amount of time!

I always get my glasses darker and they did a perfect the 1st time and they fit perfect. I was really impressed with the new technician. Their personal was wonderful also.

Worst experience of buying anything. I have been wearing glasses for over 25 years. Usually when I pick up new glasses, I try them on, pay and leave. This time it turned into a part time job, I had to come back five times and they were not able to get my glasses right. No money back, because the glasses were made according to prescription. The fact that everything was blurry and I was feeling dizzy didnt matter. Very poor customer service. Long waits with every visit. One time they ruined the lenses on the spot while trying to adjust them. If you value your time and money, this is not the place to go to. I ended up going to a different place where I got the correct glasses with the same prescription on the first try.

I traveled 40 miles to pick out one pair of glasses for my son. Thanks to my sales associate/coupon I ended up taking 2 pair home for less than $80. I felt no pressure to buy or add more expensive packages.

I read such wonderful reviews that my expectation was high. We arrived early to view frame selection for my daughter. We planned on leaving for lunch and returning for our 1pm appointment. Dan offered to take care of some preliminary stuff with my daughters exam so that when we returned, it would be quicker. When we arrived back, there were lots of customers in the store and no one even took a look at us for at least 20 minutes. They finally took my daughter back only to send her back out to wait again because somehow the Doctor realized the exam was for contacts after he thought he was done...not sure why he didnt just finish up?? Instead we waited yet again for the contact fitting part which lasted a long time of him sending her out to hang out for 10 minutes. When all this happened, no one mentioned to us that we needed to sign up on a log for them to start the glasses. I signed up and waited yet another 10minutes to be called only to be told that due to a machine failure in previous days, that they would not have my daughters glasses finished till midday tomorrow because they were backed up...WHAT! Since my daughter had nothing, I decided to schedule her contact class (for beginners) that day so she could at least walk away with something. Had to wait another 10minutes and then of course another 40 for the class to conclude. We were there solid from 1-3:30 (not to mention the time there before lunch! ..about 20) When I mentioned all this to Dan, he very proudly insisted it was my fault for scheduling the class the same day. We did not even start that part till 2:35! YIKES! I am surprised they can be called EXPRESS! I feel certain I would not return.
