The reason for the one star is simple. The website for Home Depot states about price matching but when I went to this store I was told that they could not price match because I did not have the item printed off. I had the item on my phone from Amazon that shows the lower price for the exact same item but they would not accept that to price match because I did not have the item printed off. How does that make for price matching if an item is online or printed off? Anyway, makes no sense and frankly absurd to me.
I called Home Depot in Brooklyn Park and after being passed to a warm body by the automated answering service, was connected to a person who was not interested in helping but as I persisted, she looked up what I was looking for. Finally! So, we will truck over to Maple Grove...hopefully the people havea more gracious, helpful attitude there.
I need 2 x 4s. They had them. No one bothered me.
Kind of a bad experience this time. We picked up some LVP flooring by LifeProof. Its really a quite decent product but the store doesnt carry transition pieces. You have to either special order the transition pieces or use another off brand which simply doesnt match.
Its Home Depot! Its what I expect from a big box store. Keep that in mind😜
Good experience, but pick up all the carts and flatbed carts in you parking lot. It looks sloppy and your door greeters are more interested in chatting. They should wrangle those carts instead.
Love the variety. Had everything we needed. Excellent paint. Better quality than Menards. The paint associates were courteous and very helpful.
I was pleasantly greeted and enjoyed a small exchange with her about our day. She had a very welcoming smile too. I asked for nails and she gave me the isle number like an expert.Once I got to that area there was no help around. I walked a few isles and saw no one. I went to the check out area and asked for help with locating nail anchors. That associate didnt know which is ok. She flagged down another associate. He didnt know. They collective agreed to find a specific Associate. Look like it was going to be a while so I decided to look for a 3rd time down that isle but more slower to look at everything till I found them anchors. After several minutes I found them. Help finally arrived but I told him I found it. Took a while to find them. I suppose I was a but tired and annoyed no one was readily available to find them for me but that was fine. It wasnt crowded and Im so used to the St cloud location with someone in the area of the item I need to help if needed. That was my reason for giving 3 stars instead of more.I
Jason in the paint section was incredibly helpful and friendly. Thank you!
I have used Home Depot for 18 years and spent over 100k with them. Buying things from them are fine - never use them for installs. I had them install 2 doors. 7 months 64 phone calls, 78 emails, 6 days of vacation to meet installers, inspectors, repair people and I still have two doors that dont open, close or seal. These are way worse than the doors from 1978 I replaced. I was told they would finally refund me money for one of the doors and its been 2 weeks and they still havent done anything. Dont do it! They contractor is Crew2, Crew2 uses sub contractors and none of them talk to each other. If you do this, you will be calling all three parties to try to get something done. Save yourself a ton of hassle - learn to install it yourself or find someone to install them. I am out $4k, 7 months, 6 days of vacation, over 100 hours of me calling, repairing doors and cleaning up messes and I am left with two doors with no trim installed, arent installed right and dont close or seal properly. Run!
Zach over in lumber was super helpful in getting my pieces cut accurately and in a timely manner. Thanks guys!
Good selection. But unfortunately I had multiple very heavy items and couldnt get anyone to help me. The different employees all pointed fingers at whose turn it was to help and eventually after about 20 minutes I got somebody to help me. The young man was kind and help me load one of the heavy items. I then had about 20 items of lumber to load into my truck. I had about 10 employees clock out and walk past me even though the store wasnt closed yet. No one offered to help. Sorely disappointed
CJ was amazing he help me with my paint. No hassle to point. I was able to exchange the paint that I originally bought that didn’t look the the color I chose on my wall to a different paint. And everyone was kind and super helpful and did everything they could to make sure I was satisfied.
My wife and I recently remodeled our entryway, and the Maple Grove Home Depot team made the whole process seamless! Kim and Mike were extremely helpful in selecting materials and tools to get the job done, and providing tips and best practices for the remodel work itself. We will definitely be coming back for all remodel projects to utilize their expertise!
They were very helpful and walked me to the isle instead of just sending me somewhere on the other side of the store
First and foremost the employees are knowledgeable, pleasant and take the time to help one find exactly what their looking for. After price checking I have discovered the beautiful fireplace I just bought is twice the amount and not nearly as quality as some of the competitor stores. Anything that might cost a few cents more is totally worth it to me considering the hospitality of outstanding customer service I receive every time I shop at Home Depot.
Great location and very helpful employees
My family and I are NOT happy campers. All was going well until install Friday by Crew2. Home Depot came out and measured, quoted, & sold carpet in 2 rooms and 2 sets of stairs in my home. They already have my money, now I need to wait another 2 weeks + to have it finished because the measurement was off. This was ONLY found when the carpet was ripped up with new tack strips and metal plating was put down. We have to live with tack strips and just a pad down for 2-3 weeks where my wife runs an at home daycare. Then there is my dog, cat, & my own children who could hurt themselves. NOT COOL!Lisa from Home Depot Maple Grove, MN called me & told me this is the ONLY thing she can do. I have to wait for a new measurement Monday then order the carpet which is up to 2 weeks out. Then schedule another install. This is a JOKE. I expected a call and compensation for this BIG inconvenience & oversight on Home Depots part, nothing. I have to move all furniture 4 times now as the installers were not much help.See Pics for proof. (1st is short carpet, next is what we have to live with for 2-3 weeks). I have people coming over for an NFL Vikings game next weekend and NO CARPET. Thanks Home Depot! You may want to measure yourself &/or verify they have the right size before they rip out your old carpet OR JUST RUN AWAY from them completely!!!!
Called to talk to a specific rep. Got transferred to the wrong section (kitchen appliances). The man who picked up was extremely rude and unhelpful. I had to hang up and find the number on my own. 12/28/2020 10:00 amPreviously I ordered a bunch of appliances with the install. Now I continue to run into him ups. First the delivery service couldn’t bring my appliances in due to snow falling the night prior and the little bit of snow was too much for them. Then the plumber wouldn’t install my dishwasher even though I paid for the installation. I have to get my own plumber to come out now. And I still have 5 more appliances to be delivered and installed. For how things have already went, I am preparing mentally for a lot of disappointment. If you not only need appliances but for them to be installed as well, go with Best-buy. I heard they actually have some professionalism and can get things done right the first time.
Its Home Depot, pretty much the same as all of the rest around the US. I go here when I cant find what I need at Menards.
Ive become a regular at his Home Depot - great customer service. But even more intriguing are the tales and lore of old of the ancient texts hidden deep below the facade of fairly priced home improvement goods. It is rumored that ancient DIY manuscripts and secrets are to be found for those willing to look.
Great prices on vegetables and flowers. They look great.
Cool staff. Was nice n cool as opposed to being outside.
Great location. Staff is friendly. One of the pickup items was damaged luckily I noticed in the parking lot did an exchange was easy. Would be 5 starts but why does curbside pickup close at 6pm?
I wasnt in the store for very long but the staff was friendly and helpful. Most of my time was spent in the rental shop where the guy working was extremely helpful and friendly.
This is one of the better Home Depot’s in the area. Nice and clean and good selection. Parking is a little hard to get into but not too bad
Associates are hit or miss if they will help and some dont seem to barely even know where they are much less know where any products are. One associate took a phone call as I was about to ask a question then proceeded to raise his finger (as in like one sec) then proceeded to walk completely across the store away from me as I stood there.
Andy is the man! Great customer service! He was super helpful and had a great attitude!
Love walking around this store. So massive and phemonal.
Sales staff was very helpful. They even helpful at self check out. 😀 I hate self check out. Thanks for being there.
Associates not really helpful.. had to wait almost 30 mnts to get 10 wood pcs.. cause the fork lift driver never came out to put the damm palet down.
Theres this guy called I think Mulan I will check his name again when I go back, he helps customers 110% until satisfied. He is knowledgeable and understanding. He makes me come up with creative projects because I know he will have solutions if I need assistance.
Ordered a package they said was gonna be there had to wait a week and you cant even cancel it. wont be coming back thats for sure
Always loved Home Depot. Perfect place to get what you need to fix up your home with great customer service.
Nick and Fran in the garden center were super helpful. Thank you
I entered the store to see a group of workers grouping together just talking. I asked one of them where a product was the worker just pointed in the general direction with vague details.I was unsure about the product so I waved and loudly said “excuse me” to two workers a few feet away and I was ignored.I had to approach the same group that was still talking about a product. However, this time a girl spoke with a dismissive and rude attitude stating that she didn’t know anything about locks and no one of the floor knew anything about locks.I ended up having to Google the product and buying the product on a whim.Don’t bother coming. The customer service is poor and the workers care more about talking than actually helping.
Shout out to the folks in curbside pickup - we drove to the wrong Home Depot, marked ourselves as arrived in the app, and they (after searching for our car in the correct parking lot) called, waited for us to arrive to the correct location and then came and loaded up our car. On top of that, part of our order was a couple of bags of potting soil - as it turns out, MASSIVE bags of potting soil that were loaded into our trunk for us.To put it briefly - I was a nightmare customer today: late, ill-informed, and asking a lot - and through it all, the folks at Home Depot were courteous and patient. Thanks, Josh L and the rest of the Maple Grove HD team. Hopefully the rest of your Tuesday is full of better-prepared customers with less lackadaisical Google Maps habits.
Thought the high mileage Lucas oil fuel treatment was a good deal for $7 off. Bought 2 @ $2/each and a few hours later I notice a thick fluid all over my back floorboard. The bottles had come opened and spilled on my floor mats and carpet and now the car smells like fuel treatment. Tried saving money and now I have to buy new carpet for my car. 🤦🏻♀️ Other items in the store had been cut and broken (while the employees were unloading stuff I’d guess), but I’ve never had an issue with these bottles coming open at random.
Pickup at store is a great and expedient service.
Got what we needed. Polite and helpful staff.
Recently went to the Maple Grove Home Depot to pick up a few electric parts that I needed. Like all stores they had the mask rules posted at the door.I entered the store and went to the electric aisles where I found 3 employees working . They were all wearing masks but the masks were down under their chins. Not covering their mouth or face at all. I also saw a large customer talking loudly on the phone in the aisle who had no mask on at all.I promptly left and went to Menards where everyone appeared to be observing the mask mandate with no issues. Much better place to shop safely.
My man Kevin in plumbing. This guy deserves a raise, ive never had someone at a home improvement store as knowledgeable as he was about his section. I bought a reverse osmosis deionization unit that installs under my sink for my aquariums, and the in-line shut off fitting i paid extra for at the fish shop wasnt the right size. I may be a mechanic, but i know nothing of plumbing, and thread sizes in plumbing are like the japanese language, theres three alphabets, and you can jumble them together to form language somehow (in this case language is a not-leaking pipe). Kevin not only knew the most common thread sizes and types for certain and specific appliances, but also the not so common ones that are still used, and which are not used at all. No matter where i live, i will come to this home depot and find kevin for all my plumbing needs, keep up the good work Kevin!
Worst customer service ever! I called looking for appliances and I was told to “call back tomorrow and talk to Helen because she knows that stuff off the top of her head, I could get you that information but it would take me a long time”. Then I asked if someone could help me get an estimate for carpet was transferred several times, finally I just hung up! Home Depot...we’re done! Pay your people more so they will actually want to help customers buy stuff !
This Home Depot is the newest in the area, and so, as expected, its cleaner and brighter than the rest. The footprint and layout is a little bit different, which is pretty minor. All in all, a good place to grab your home project needs.
Everything you need for home remodeling and more. Very helpful workers.
Home depot is always awesome. Our new battery works great.
Always a good stop, I always find what I need.
Poor lighting selection,seems outdated
Rented a drywall hoist. great service, good equipment. They helped load and unload with a smile.
Dont use Home Depot for Flooring installations. Our product was backordered and their communications regarding that were unprofessional. When the product arrived we scheduled an install date and prepared for the flooring by moving EVERYTHING out of our 1st level but they didnt arrive or call on day one. They did come one week late and immediately tried to bamboozle me out of $800 more dollars. They left without installing all of the baseboard and put a hole in my wall.
Had items i wanted in stock. Quick easy check out.
Needed to replace a non working pump. But because it was bought on line. The store could not help... Not right.
Nice place. I like that they have Veteran Parking! Nice staff too.
Didn’t catch his name but the paint guy was wonderful :)
Not the same as the old fashioned lumber yard and hardware store
The layout is predictable. You can get in and get your item in a couple of minutes or spend hours looking around.
Spent the morning here. Got my Sheetrock, rented the truck, returned some lumber, bought a door, couple buckets and a nice rope. I interacted with four associates and all of them were an absolute joy to be around. Thank you for a good start to the project.
The associates are kind of hard to find when you need them, but the store is laid out similarity to all other home depot stores so we were able to figure out out. Great selection of herbs!
Dropped what they were doing to help get a pallet of stone on and helped me load. Love when things dont get in the way of projects. Shout out to Sydney and Jason for the quick help
Kudos to the Staff, Really helpful. Take their time to help with what you looking for.
Tommy and Sam were great so pleasant and helpful!
Typical Home Depot, good selection.
The gal that helped me did not know what she was talking about for out door motion lite for a garage they come on at nite and have a timer for length of time they stay on
Helen in the kitchen appliance department was very great and super friendly. She assisted us in everything we needed for kitchen appliances with excellent service.
-Out of stock on items needed.-Extremely low/deffective quality product for driveway seal coating and they wont refund for it. Latexite crack sealer was completely separated and had to be tossed.-They only have one option to purchase for some items and that option is not good (for example squeegee).
Ordered a bookshelf online and didnt measure my trunk width. Received great service from 2 guys in outbound 9/21 at 1pm. They took the packaging off and disposed of it. They had to took off the wheels because the shelf was too big to fit in my trunk. They really went above and beyond to help me. I appreciate their great service ~
Tried the curbside pickup 4 times now and 3 times it was fantastic and one time I had to touch the purchased items hence not that great that one time. Its my go to place for all home improvement needs.
Its was very good service and they nice
Out of the item we wanted
Great service but many staff members didnt have masks when I visited back in July.
Love this store
Almost always have what Im looking for in stock. Friendly staff, easy location
Vicki in power tools. I told her the projects I was facing and my need for a sander. She brought me from the sanders, over to the mulittools that you can attach a sander to and it’s much smaller to get in all my little spaces of the crib project. She knew a tool right away in her mind and brought me over to her suggestion. I’d say her expert insight was extremely helpful! Thanks Vicki
Love HD
In the spring/summer the garden center has been phenomenal for many years. This summer, not so much. Im gonna blame it on covid-19.
Great customer service... Everything was easy to find
Sounds silly, but this is the best Home Deport store Ive been too. Because they are newer and there are other home improvement store that have been in the area for a while, the store is always pretty empty. So you can get in and out easy, and staff is always available for questions.
During COVID-19, all employees were great but a floor manager was walking around and not socially distancing. They walked directly behind me twice, even though I kept giving them looks and trying to speed up / slow down to have them either pass me or get a space distance.
Staff at register was very helpful, while picking up my order.
Anita did a wonderful job helping us return some product. 7-17-2020
We have had great service and support from the Maple Grove Home Depot. Our basement is currently being finished, and is nearing the end of completion. Our cabinets, counter top, and carpeting have been purchased from them. Throughout all of our selection processes, the Home Depot team has been easy to work with. Best of all, all of our in-home appointments/delivery schedules have been on time, and mostly arriving on the early side of their 2-hour time slots. This was such a refreshing change from the appliance delivery experience we had with Lowes. Mary in carpeting is super friendly and very enjoyable to work with! Home Depot in Maple Grove has a great team in place, and they truly care about your customer experience. Thank you for being so easy to work with on such a big project!
Over priced - same item at Menards was 1/2
Staff seem to avoid you.
Pretty much everything you could need for home and garden. Friendly staff. Check inventory online before you go.
This location is such a disappointment. Nobody I came across offered to help and when I ask theyre clueless. My last 3 visits Ive left empty handed (wasnt looking for anything too complicated, basic things like an outlet tester or Stanley tape measure). Items from specific departments (such as electrical) are split up all over the store. Power tools are also a rip off, even cheaper on their own website. Save your time and money and shop online or anywhere else.
The associates were friendly and helpful. The store is clean and well organized.
Great store, kind staff.
Clean. fully stocked.
Curb pick was prompt and easy.
Love the guest services at home Depot. Every one is very friendly and helpful.
I really value this Home Depot and it employees especially this Easter Weekend. I had exceptional service in appliances from Tom and Tom and when the appliances wouldnt fit in my car Anita helped me at Will Call. Everyone went out of their way to help me and I appreciate that. I look at this place as a place where people that work there seek out to help you.... not the other way around, run in the other direction, like Menards. Quality of products are always better here and priced right and they honor Veterans with a 10% discount! Great place to shop!
Customer service was great. The lady who helped us from the plumbing area was very helpful and answered all our questions.
Have an easy time finding my hardware needs.
Very helpful and great tools.
Great customer service
