Gorgeous coffee shop + flower bar in MaplewoodI visited C. Oliver Coffee + Flower Bar for the first time this morning, and loved the experience. Located in a cute corner shop in Maplewood, this coffeehouse is bright and airy, with pops of botanical colors throughout. I was warmly greeted, and really enjoyed my Rose Oat Latte. I love the flower shop concept - its neat being able to purchase some lovely florals on the way out. Looking forward to visiting again.
My boyfriend recommended this spot when I was visiting last weekend. A cute little place to drink and chat. We drank outside on the patio, and then got another drink for the road. I hope that they add food to their menu soon! Will certainly visit again the next time that Im in town!Update: Went back yesterday and had the Lola (Strawberry Chai) with Oat Milk. So good!!
I come here all the time and i absolutely love your strawberry drinks. Everytime i go i’m asked to leave a tip and i always do, 20%, but then i found out recently that the baristas make over minimum wage which is 10.30, and i as a server who makes 5 bucks an hour was tipping under the impression they were in the same boat. Today i asked to leave a 10% tip because tipping a dollar on a coffee that takes 30 seconds to make started seeming ridiculous to me but they told me that was too low and not an option. This location has not even had lids for my drinks the last 4 visits or chai for my favorite drink.
So beautiful and chill. A great place to grab some coffee and hang out for an afternoon.
I visited the Oliver’s Coffee and Flower Bar at the Galleria Mall. There’s no phone number or a place to review them. The evening I was there, a new person was working as well as an assistant manager. I purchased 2 (two) gift cards for $10 each. Today, my friends were informed that the gift cards were not valid and they wouldn’t accept them without a receipt. I told my friends the purchase is on my bank statement. I am very upset by this. This is unacceptable and needs to be rectified immediately.
Very quiet atmosphere. Great location. Cool flavors on the menu to try.
I’m almost a daily regular at their Galleria location & they never disappoint! Coffee is extremely silky, better than anywhere else I have found.
I am a coffee-lover, local & black owned business was supporter, flower fanatic and much more. For the purposes of this review I’ll focus on the hards facts:- Maplewood hidden gem- Oat milk (yay my preferred option)- Fresh flowers throughout- Picturesque flower wall- Outdoor patio seating- Charming interior decorThe biggest disappointment was the absence of small bites; which is advertised in their business listing. Coffee & breakfast item of some sort was definitely the plan when deciding to take that 15 minute drive to C. Oliver.Only thing available are beverages.Service was pleasant. I hope to return when some sort of food options become available.
I was loving this place. Came here multiple times a week to work. Then today its like the club. The music is so loud and when I asked why it was so loud I was told that the owners wanted the music loud and they are not allowed to lower the volume. I literally had to walk outside to take a phone call because the bass on the music was so loud and heavy. I hope they reconsider this new change in the music volume. This is going to run people away not bring them in.Regardless...the staff is always super nice and welcoming. The environment is pretty. I really like the coffee, too. They have a unique menu.
Showed up around 9 AM, store was cute, music going, fresh flowers...but no employee...just 1patron. I waited around 10 minutes....no employee. Pity. Looked cute.
Ambience and flower wall is nice. 4/5The coffee was just okay and the prices are steep.2.5/5$7 for a 12 oz coffee.Street parking comfortably available. Good wifi.Good to work, a bit crowded to study 4/5.Wish they had pasties or anything to eat.
Very cute place, great music, strong wifi. I usually get a cappuccino which wasn’t on the menu (I’m sure I could have gotten it if I asked) but the chai was SO GOOD. I can’t wait to come back after COVID to drink out of their real glasses/mugs which are very sweet. They have you take a crystal and put it on your table so when you leave they know which ones to sanitize. Flower selection is small but lots of good combination.
As much as I mourn on a daily basis for Orbit, I love the presence of a black owned business with incredible products and uniqueness in our community. My ONLY complaint would be they play the same playlist all the time which gets pretty repetitive, would love more diversity of music.
This place is so cute! The staff was friendly and made great suggestions. I got the best London Fog I’ve had in ages. Will be back!
This was such a pleasure surprise! The place is absolutely gorgeous. Its so bright and beautiful. Reminds me of Iceland of all places :)I had hot chocolate and one of their scrumptious chocolate chip cookies. They totally live up to their name. Then I ordered the chai tea with strawberry milk. Dont let that discourage you....its absolutely amazing. I could have had 5 of them and still wanted more. The flower arrangements are gorgeous. If I didnt already have a one on my table I would have bought one. Definitely will be there again.Love!!!!!
Lovely staff and excellent drinks. I got the iced Lola (a strawberry chai latte drink) and it was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend this shop!!
Absolutely lovely! Chill environment, great music, and a super tasty strawberry matcha latte! 100% would recommend ♡
I was really excited to meet a friend there for a coffee. But unfortunately the flower wall was the only highlight. The staff seemed bored and more bothered than welcoming our order. No snacks available is disappointing. Go there and take your flower wall insta pic but for a cozy good-vibes coffee shop experience go to one of the other amazing local coffee shops all over St Louis.
Super cute coffee shop. Lots of specialty drinks and Matcha. The pumpkin muffin I had was ridiculously good.
The rose latte was fabulous, just like the lovely people behind the counter and the beautiful space. 💜
A great, relaxing place to hang and get good coffee
Decent coffee, a bit expensive for the size (almost $7 for a large iced vanilla latte after 20% tip). No snacks/pastry items available so it was just drinks. My main issue with this cafe is the noise. It was a Saturday afternoon but the cafe was surprisingly not too crowded. A group of 3 came in and even their conversations echoed around the whole cafe, making it super distracting to try to study.Baristas seemed super disinterested in guests and only talked amongst themselves the whole time (no masks on unless a customer came up to the counter). They were reading, listening to music on ear buds, constantly on their phones and not washing their hands after (phones are germ central!)Not much decor, so the environment wasn’t really my vibe. There’s just the flower wall for instagramers to take pictures by, but not much else at all going on in the store, which is an important aspect of the cafe experience to me.I don’t think I would go back.
Love the space because I can work on my laptops, meet up or enjoy time alone with a great book.
Coffee from Olivers never disappoints. The seating and atmosphere is also very chic.
Very beautiful interior and good coffee. The staff was not very friendly however, so it made the atmosphere a bit uninviting. But its possible they were just having a rough day. Still recommend going there though!
Great little shop. Staff are bright and uplifting. Shop is clean and has a vibe. Drinks were top notch!
Everyone there was extremely rude and acted as if I should be grateful to be there! Having a sense of entitlement while being in a field that requires good customer is a bad business plan. The neighborhood felt sketchy and there was trash lying about everywhere. If you go make sure to lock your car and do not leave any thing in your car you dont want stolen.Coffee tasted terrible as well. Not sure it could get any worse.
The coffee was amazing, worth the stop. Little to no menu. Missed opportunity.
Super cute shop. Awesome cortado!
They have amazing drinks. My favorite is the lavender latte which I also had a shot of espresso to it.
The Lola (strawberry chai) is about a million times better than a Starbucks Pink Drink, and I also enjoyed the Olivers Tonic, even though it sounded really strange. I usually order online and send my daughter out to pick it up (perks of having a teen), but today I went in myself. I appreciated that they waited to add the ice until I showed up to pick up so that my drink didnt get diluted. I had no idea they did that! I also did not realize that they had such a large outdoor patio space to the side of the shop. For those who are missing bakery treats to go with your coffee, The Living Room is just across the street and has fantastic baked goods!
Ok place.Pros: Coffee was great. Cute flower wall. They also sell nice flowers.Cons: Really high coffee prices. My drink was ~$7. Chairs aren’t comfortable at all so if you plan to be there for hours to work, it may be challenging. Honestly, I won’t be back. I give them 4* for the coffee and being a minority owned business.
I love this place. Especially their rose and lavender lattes and tea lattes
Best new coffee shop in St. Louis! Coffee + Strawberry Milk? TO DIE FOR! The flower bar is so unique & overall the best experience. Such a brilliant add to Maplewood! Lets continue supporting local Black-owned businesses!
First time visiting. The maple cinnamon latte was awesome! 👌
A very nice clean and friendly place. The owners (such a lovely couple) are pleasant as well as the staff. Even in these times their service is good.
Awesome coffee, cute interior, and black owned! Will be back!
Beautiful store!! The coffee is amazing!
One of my favs
Very cute and clean space. Love the flower wall 😍. And the beautiful green velvet chairs.
Barista talks so loud and too much. lowest cafe wifi security. But good drink.
Life changing latte! the maple cinnamon latte was heaven in a cup. The barista was friendly, and very kind! Not to mention the gorgeous flower wall and great atmosphere to study. Ontop of everything I also get to support a black owned small business? MAJOR WIN! I will be back again and again
Wow its a fun place and the coffee there is fantastic
Solid drinks and a great atmosphere
Great coffee, super friendly staff, and adorable ambience! Will definitely be coming back :)
My girlfriend loves this shop!! We are long distance so I’ve never personally enjoyed the coffee myself but I’m always on Facetime with them when they get their strawberry chai. Very excited to try your fabulous gourmet coffee when I visit them in beautiful Saint Louis!! Until then, ¡Arrivederci! 🇮🇹💘✨
I reccomend trying the Violet Latte. It is a bit sweeter than a Lavendar latte but has a similar floral taste. The violet flavor was balanced with the rich espresso. The ambience was bright, colorful and chill. The staff was very friendly and professional.
This place is so beautifully decorated and the staff was the sweetest with it being my first time there. I tried some strawberry coffee drink (a best seller of theirs), and I can honestly say it was the best I have ever had. So unique and tasty. Have to go back!!
This coffee shop is amazing! From the decor, to the coffee, to the owner..! My husband and I loved our iced coffees at the suggestion of Olivia! We love the atmosphere of this adorable coffee spot! We can’t wait to give C. Oliver a lot more of our business! :)
Fantastic, Cozy and Clean with an outdoor patio! I ordered the Pink Mocha which is like a strawberry flavored mocha coffee Lord it was delicious. I also picked up a bouquet of flowers while I waited on my drink. They were $2/stem. As I was leaving a like formed. The wait wasnt long at all, Ill be back!
Love the coffee and the specialty drinks on their menu. Get a dirty Lola, I dare you :). The staff is always friendly too! The only thing I wish they had were tasty treats or baked goods.
I came to this coffee shop because I saw their flower wall on Instagram. If you want a gorgeous backdrop for the gram, come here. They sell coffee and flower as the name would suggest. Its small and local. They do not accept cash. Something I was not a fan of was no straws. That was my first time drinking an iced latte without one. Not sure what kind of coffee beans they use. It has a sweeter taste. Its not my favorite but could appeal to others. Very clean and extremely cozy.
Great experience 10/10super kind employees+ aesthetic was top tieralso i left my iced latte in my car when i went into ikea for almost two hours. and even though it was 85° outside, and the ice in my drink all melted it was still so tasty.
Wonderful local coffee shop in Maplewood. Polite service. Wish they had food here -- even if it was just muffins, bagels, or something else that I could grab and go.
Very pretty space, complete with silk flower Instagram wall. Worth a visit for the unique drinks such as the Lola, a chai latte made with strawberry milk for a spicy-sweet balance.
The interior is so laid back and pretty! I mean, coffee AND fresh flowers to go? Yes please! And the people are so friendly. Go!
Such a pleasant place to be. If you like an oat milk latte definitely try this spot here. My barista was highly qualified in turning my caffeinated beverage into a work of art. Good consistency and even better flavor. Worth a try if you like coffee or flowers.
Great vibe, friendly service, excellent coffee. Highly recommend! I look forward to adding another star if and when they have some more food options.
Great drinks and great service. I love the powder pink mocha! The vibe there is amazing and I cant wait to spend more time there.
Very kind and friendly barista/cashier, dynamite drink and highly instagrammable modern interior design.
Beautiful, open, airy, and bright space. Especially loved the dark green velvety sofa/benches at most of the tables. Would be a great event space - there was an intriguing outdoor area that we didnt use for our business meeting. Other people there were working/studying. Friendly staff & beautiful flowers. The coffee was great but Im not an expert...my macchiato was served in a simple glass and cork saucer and was both tasteful and tasty. It was refreshing to be in a coffee shop that not only had good drinks but also made me feel welcomed and inspired (Ill be trying the macaroons next time...).
I love this place, and I am so pleased they took genuine human action when a couple were to be married a few weeks ago. Keep up the great coffee and human experience:)
A very cute shop. Its bright and open, with a great view of the park next door. The seating is cute and comfortable. The staff was polite and friendly. I really enjoyed the macarons and the names for the coffee sizes. This place is a great place to hang out or study.
This coffee & flower bar is so unique and beautiful! I have only had excellent experiences here. The coffee, the macaroons(!!!), the seating options, the music, the location, the evening hours, the service -- I love everything about this place. I also came here with a friend who uses a power chair and there is accessible entryway through the patio area on Hazel Ave. Also, definitely follow them on Instagram for the most gorgeous photos. Im so happy they are in Maplewood!
Wonderful business! They are navigating the complexities of the pandemic very well and I feel very safe ordering my coffee from here. They are a wonderful staple in Maplewood!
Amazing coffee shop. Great ownership! Cool ambiance!
Great coffee and great service! Weve been coming here since they opened. GREAT addition to Maplewood.
Every time I walk into C. Oliver’s, I’m immediately awakened. The interior is very light and the open windows bring in such life! If your emotions are all over the place or you simply need a break from your home life, come down to C. Oliver’s, order an iced latte with oat milk (vibe size) and customize a fresh bouquet of your liking to feel like you’re in a whole new world! AAAAHHHH!!!! Now if y’all had french fries, I’d never leave! 😂😂😂
I loved the interior of this coffee shop and their menu selection is great.
Beautiful space! Open and wonderful staff! I think I was helped by the owner and she was a delight. Tried the Pink Mocha and I highly recommend it!
Best strawberry cafe Ive ever had! Unique menu items and lovely staff!! I cant wait to get flowers next time I go in!
My daughter and I had a great time. The drinks were delicious and chocolate chip cookie was scrumptious. Our barista was welcoming and made our experience comfortable and pleasant.
Great coffee, macaroons, and flowers! The space is beautiful, and it is definitely worth a visit to enjoy. They have light desserts, like macaroons and cookies. The flower bar is fresh and smells amazing.
Adorable ! Tried 4 different beverages & all were fabulous.
Cute, classy, nice personal/family-owned vibe, and very good coffee. Love the abundance of natural light and high ceilings.
Excellent local coffee made to enjoy in a very comfortable, beautiful place.
Delicious coffee!! Its a picture perfect coffee shop!
They held a wedding on the evening of 3/22. They are still doing curbside service after all of that possible exposure. This is how community spread happens.
Business is deleting negative reviews on other sites, possibly here as well. They hosted a wedding on 3/22 in complete disregard for the health of the guests and the St Louis community. They seem to think they are special and exempt from health precautions. Do you really want them handling products you consume? As I said originally, I’ve been once but never intend to again.
Beautiful atmosphere, great service, lovely staff, great cookies & coffee!
Incredibly quick and super nice! Chill shop!
Cute, clean, friendly staff and great coffee!
Such a lovely place! The staff is wonderful and friendly and the coffee is delicious!
I’m not a big coffee drinker, but i most say Literally my favorite Café.
Yuck.
Love this coffee shop! The space is beautiful and the coffee is amazing!
Only 1 person working and the place was swamped so she messed up 3 of our orders.
