Very clean and professional place. All the staff including the doctor very polite, nice and very caring. Made sure we wore all taken care of before we left they were willing to see us right away because of accident. Will go back if I lived here but I live in Jersey. But if your looking for a eye doctor this is the place.
After visiting First Choice Eyecare nearly 2 years ago, they determined our son had a slight eye turn and would benefit from weekly vision therapy. After 1 1/2 years of treatment, thousands of dollars out of our pocket, and thousands charged to our insurance company...he was still struggling. After ending treatment we began seeing a new doctor, following his second visit we were referred to a surgeon...the slight eye turn as diagnosed by First Choice Eyecare was actually a more severe crossing of both eyes. No amount of vision therapy could correct the level of turn that he was/is experiencing. Now after nearly 2 years of first being miss diagnosed his vision issue will be resolved, something that could have been corrected long ago at a fraction of the cost First Choice Eyecare had charged us. I would not feel confident recommending First Choice Eyecare to anyone seeking treatment for any type of strabismus issues.
This was my first time at first choice and the experience was great! Everyone from check in to check out were very patient and friendly. I usually have a hard time finding glasses that fit my head (it’s pretty big) but the ladies in Optical worked with me until we found the perfect pair. They give you their honest opinion so I knew I wasn’t going to be walking out of there looking dumb (plus, if you have a common prescription they can cut your lenses on site and leave with them same day!). If you haven’t visited them before I highly recommend them. I’ll definitely be returning to them from now on.
I brought my 2 year old in for a routine eye exam. They refused to let her in without a mask. I knew I had to wear one (and I did), but a two year old? C’mon.
I can’t answer this location because I needed to have a new Isaiah I’m done apparently and I needed my frames to have new lenses put in them and I bought a new pair of frames here, spending over $500. I went to a funeral and was called on the way back on Monday, told that my classes were ready and I contacted them up. Due to how long the drive was I ended up having to stay the night and I hotel on Monday night and now I am back Tuesday and have attempted to pick up my glasses. His location is closed.I just wasted my time driving up here and I was not informed that there were any special days where they closed early at any time. Not to mention to be quite honest, Tuesday is an odd day to close at noon. So I am not happy at all because I have been racing back to pick up his eyeglasses and now that I’m here I find a store closed. That is a drawback for me. Availability is a huge huge contributing factor on whether I will stay with a business or not and closing early one day of the week and then there’s the weekends.Did he fall who actually helped me were wonderful and the only thing other than that I really didn’t care for was they do need a larger selection of glasses for an and in my hand and when not busy at the front, it would be nice if the people sitting there we’re not just sitting there staring at you and actually doing something else like cleaning or something. The waiting area could’ve been a lot more comfortable in my hand and lead overall it was decent but they’re not being open tank is a huge trailer for me. So I have a lease to chip in now I will have l to return tomorrow to get my glasses.
Real good eye doctor. Ive been going here for maybe 6 years and Ive never had a problem. Theyre good about being in contact with you and arent shady or anything. Theyll let you know up front what your insurance covers and what youll have to pay for. I also wear contacts and theyre pretty good at letting you try a few types to make sure you find a pair that are comfortable for you.
I have been to multiple optometrist. First Choice Eyecare on Lawyers Rd. Is by far the most accurate and advanced eyecare facility in the area. The staff genuinely care, and remember you by name. Dr. Bigham is the most up to date with technology around....I dont see why anyone would give this facility a 1 star, and would discredit anyone who would.
Best eye care around! Staff is very kind. Good doctor and the cost isnt tjat bad if you dont have insurance
Excellent first patient experience. Subsequent visits have been up to the same high standards. Clean office, waiting room, restroom (can only speak to mens). Very clean place overall. Very friendly staff all around from the reception to the doctors. Everyone was very professional and took good care of me. Also, there was definitely a genuine patience to make sure I felt comfortable and that all of my questions were answered. I did not feel like another patient to get in and get out. I felt that my eye care needs were of great concern to the doctors there. Thank you for treating me so well!
I have been a patient of Dr. Brighams for the past 8 years. His staff is always courteous and helpful. Marcia is wonderful in reception area. She even greets me by my name. The technician is very pleasant and friendly. I do not feel uncomfortable at any stage of my exam. Highly recommend the practice for anyone looking for a new eye doctor.
Love Love Love this place. They did their best with my autistic daughter. Very patient, very kind. Will schedule for my mom next,!
Had a good first time experience here. Friendly staff, painless new patient setup, and a wide variety of days and times for appointments (from early morning to later evening). The exam went smoothly--just fast enough to not be boring, but not too fast to feel like a production clinic. The doctor took time to talk about issues and offered opinions and ballpark costs for different solutions. The eyeglass specialist was friendly and not trying to upsell. I had my own frames, so maybe I missed part of the sales pitch since all I needed was lenses, but I didnt feel like I was being sold to. I recommend these folks.
This is the best eye doctor I have ever been to. Very thorough and detailed. The staff is professional and corteous. They have an excellent selection of glasses and have great turn around on their contacts too!
Never had such a thorough eye exam!! They continued to work with me to get the appropriate contact lenses and glasses! Great team!!!
Absolutely none better in the Charlotte/Matthews area! This is truly family eye care at its finest! Dr. Bigham is knowledgeable, professional and has a HUGE heart! When I had a detaching retina years ago, he took me in IMMEDIATELY on a Friday evening and did his best to get me seen by a specialist before the weekend. He is NEVER in a hurry and knows each and every patient AND their family members. His wife, Margaret, is also kind and caring and an asset to their practice. As they grow, they remember where they came from. I moved out of the area, but I would not trust any other eye guy to take care of my single-eye sight! For a practice to keep so many of its employees in this day says something about the people who own and run it.RUN, dont walk, to this Family Eye Care practice!
Im very disappointed with this place. I took my 14 hear old son for his first routine eye exam. No problems there until it came time to try on glasses. They didnt have one pair that fit his face in the entire place so they wanted us to commit to a pair from a catalog not knowing what size he was. No thanks..We got the prescription that we thought we could get a pair elsewhere with. That was not the case, without the PD you cannot go elsewhere. When I asked for the PD from First Choice Eye care I was told I would have to pay $50 to obtain it because of liability. Which I asked to explain what liability there was in that request and I received no response. So were being finacially penalized because they didnt have glasses that fit my son?We had no choice but to go somewhere else for him to try on his first pair of glasses before committing to a purchase.I asked for a callback from the office manager 2 days ago and I havent heard back from anyone.BEWARE: You cannot get glasses with the generic prescription this place gives you. You will be forced to purchase them there or cough up $50 extra dollars for the PD
I have been using Dr. Bigham for almost 10 years and would highly recommend him. His exams are very thorough, not rushed, and he takes the time to explain any changes from your last exam.
Friendly staff. Up to date equipment for testing eyes for all sorts of eye problems.Christian atmosphere.
I had a pair of glasses made there and was initially disappointed. I spoke to Margaret, who took care of the problem and ordered me the best pair of glasses Ive ever had. Thats saying a lot considering Ive been wearing glasses since 1964. I will also admit that Im very hard to please.
I have had my eyes checked here, every other year, for the past 6 years. Professional and courteous on each visit. I would recommend them to anyone that needs an OD.
Good experience first time I went there. Will go back to get my special frames fitted with new lenses.
The best eye doctor and office staff!! I also highly recommend the Vision Therapy staff!
From their first day, staff, services and resources have been great for our whole family.
Very polite staff, beautiful facility, the doctor and the techs know what they are doing
I went because my primary care physician recommended Dr. Bigham. I was very pleased with the experience. The office is clean and modern, the equipment cutting edge and the staff was professional and friendly. The only issue i have is that the hours for the eyewear contingent are restrictive for me. I have to take time off of work to visit. I would recommend First Choice and sepcifically Dr. Bigham to anyone looking for an excellent eye care experience.
Great great excellent place love the staff.
Excellent!
