Complete waste of time. Checked in 1 hour early and waited over 16 hours to get unloaded.Literally watched trucks enter and leave the facility around me and a small group of trucks that also waited forever.Used to be fine with the 4-7 hour wait, but it’s gotten really bad.So, collect a good detention rate or be held prisoner for over 16 hours (and still have to pay a lumper!$

Jewel Osco stealing my money!!!!I arrived at 7:30 for 8:00 am. they assigned me a door at 10:33. The light is red, but there is no activity, now is 12:23 pm and I’m still waiting to be unloaded.I lost my next trip, Yes this people stealing my money.Why they make an appointment when they can’t keep up?Is there a place where I can complain?

Pretty much what all the other reviews say. I arrived at 8:25 AM for an 8:45 AM appointment. I got a call at 11:45 telling me what dock to park the trailer in.Continued to sit for over two additional hours before they even started unloading…. The only positive is the gentleman who manages the lumper service. He is very friendly and understanding. However, he has no control over how long it takes the customer to assign dock doors.I simply will not take another load here. I don’t care how much it pays.

DRIVER BEWARE!!!!The (fresh receiving) rear docks needs to be set up better. Rather than have trucks park across the docks, they need to have the check in and staging area somewhere else, then call them back to their dock.Ive noticed, it does not matter if you have a longer truck like me, or a volvo, you WILL have a hard time backing into the dock and will most likely back your trailer into the truck next to you.Jewel-Osco, please consider moving check In and staging for these docks somewhere else so we can have more room to back into the dock.And also, be prepared to wait, Ive been here going on 6 hours now and still no dock.(They pick and choose who to put on dock 1st, and not by appointment!!)

No matter if you get here ontime still be prepared to be here for at least 6 hours definately will be sitting at least on the fresh produce warehouse

I have a 5am appointment it’s on 11am still not even close to being at a dock door. I had to cancel loads for the next 2 days. I rebooked a load for 19:00 that’s my hoping that I’m out of here within a 12 hour period. Which may not even happen. Never ever booking this place again. As always, a pleasant experience. Check in a guard shack, go around back, check in at receiving, wait a normal amount of time, get a door. Trailer bumps the dock, they hook her and start offloading. The digital payment they do is fast and is better than cash/check. From check in at guard shack to unloaded 1hr.

Not sure if they are under staffed or what. The fresh side is back to super slow. Spent 6 hours there Friday, and 7 hours there again Monday. Turned down the Tuesday load. No thanks.

3h1/2 to delivered 2 skids and 85$ lumper fees! They gived app but when you get there is first come first served.And, dont get there by the entrance on North street, they will turn you back an send you to the back entrance on Armitage av.

I’ve had 3 loads in past 4 weeks. It is an unbelievable level of incompetence. I vow to never take a load into this building. With the market right now, it would be crazy if they can’t get food because truckers say no to the waiting.My favorite reefer slogan: If you are early, you are wrong...if you are late, you are wrong. They refuse to give paper receipt. Did one load the day before and got one came back the next day with the load paid the lumper they refused to give me a paper one told me to get it off my phone

Ridiculous place. 8 hours and still didn’t get unloaded, but people who get in the door after me,with the same product get empty long time ago. And everything what they saying to me, you gonna get empty soon ..Capstone you need to learn how to do your job faster ..

There is no point to make your appointment on time when they will not get in a door on time. Then they charge a lumper fee when there behind schedule. They do not value drivers time at all. Will never deliver nor pick up. Will turn down the load.

Well I can tell youre near Chicago..smh boy does capstone really rake you.you come in with a load of bags only 10 skids 7,000 lb double stacked doesnt even take up half of the trailer what a rip off.$190

If I could avoid this place I would the last time I was Here I had a delivery for 18:00/6:00 so I got there by 17:37/5:37 and wanted so they got Me in a door at around 23:30/11:30 stated unloading Me at around 01:00/1:00.am on and off up until like 07:19 they were done unloading the trailer and finally by like 08:42 are so I was handed My Bills.

Not good, took waaay to long to unload me, was there almost 7 hours, insanity. Hard to find truck entrance. Make sure you understand how to get to truck entrance.

Place is a joke..06/28/21.checked in at 08:20am for 9am appt...got a door at 12:47 out at 6:07pm..and still have to drive 500miles to my next stop...😡..wont be coming back here...first and last time here and still want to charge me $210.00 lumper fee for a half a trlr....

Appointment 0400 check in at 0430 because had to wait 50 min for train blocking the street (171) just around the corner. They received me right away and was all empty and ready to go by 0530. I was on building C for fresh produce. Easy process, they send you a text with lumper fee and a link to pay it

Security Ladies are tooooooo Rude, For delivery took 3.5 Hours after dock. Management should realize that Truckers are human, Not slave for your security staff.

They really improved a lot. Checked in at 14:45 for 15:30 appt. got a door at 15:00 and was out of gate by 16:45.Full trailer. Lumper was reasonable.

I see a lot of bad reviews about this place, its the typical DC you have to check-in wait to be call get a door and like other foods facilities waited for them to breakdown the load etcetera and you already know the offloading time frame at these places! unknown 🤔🚛😲🙁 but anyway my experience at jewel was pleasant! 🙂🚛😀😀

No overnight inside the facility, you can check in 1 hour before the appointment no earlier. 2h of unloading. Not bad at all for a big distribution center.

I only gave them 3 stars because everyone was nice. Very slow unloading. 6.30 PM appt got out at 11.30.

They got five stars but it did take them over 4 hours to get me out of there but otherwise people are nice friendly theyre only downside as there is no overnight parking

This place is a joke. Been here 3 times and this is by far the worst theyve ever been. Told an hour ago my bills were ready but yet the lady at the check in says they arent and that that text is wrong. Still red light, loading door still open but no movement in trailer. I always had good communication with stuffs here. I arrived a day ahead of my appointment for frozen product delivery without problem they had took it. But I wait about 4 or 5 hours any way it was good cause I save one day. When you parked and going in to the receiver to check in Wear you warm clothes no matter what season it is but it’s very very cold there inside and some times you have to wait on line for more then 30 minutes. Lumper guy also is very helpful. But I believe they won’t let you to take 10 hours sleep.

I had appointment Monday to unload here at 0400 according to my dispatch just to arrive and be turned around by guard, appointment was at 1600. I arrived later on around 1500 and everything went very smooth I was in n out within 2-3 hours wich to me is good enough because I was scared due to terrible reviews, I totally understand that I got lucky or something I dont know I just wanted to share my experience because this type of reviews help other fellow drivers, they help me, more when is the first time etc. The outcome varies sometimes is bad, others, worst, sometimes you get lucky but either way all reviews help.

All the outside carriers need to goto the back entrance. From George, left on Armtage, past the rail tracks, left into the entrance. No parking on site. Filthy portable washrooms. (Receiving) You must pay $150 lumper fee, to save time, you must get that figured out before you get there. You’ll get a text on your phone once you get a green light. After that, once the lumper fee is paid, go straight to the receiving portable, don’t wait in the dock because they won’t tell you when the paperwork is ready. The unloading was quick.

This place is ridiculous I didnt even have a full load Im still here and Ive been sitting here for over 7 hours so far. Absolutely ridiculousCapstone really knows how to milk a job at this facility I dont see how anybody can give this place over one star.

This facility is actually ok if you hit your appointment time but the gentleman in the guard shack with the 4th grade education needs to seriously slow his role. Hes rude to all drivers that arrive at the facility. He should not be put in a position that requires him to work with others. Hed probably be best in the role of Custodial arts. As Honest Abe said Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a mans character, give him power. Mr Guard shack Guy, you are the perfect example of this.

DELIVERING HERE IS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! TRUCKERS PLEASE BE PREPARED TO GET YOUR APPOINTMENTS MOVED/CHANGED AND TO STAY THERE FOR 5+ HOURS!

My experience here is always great ... best way to DC from 294 S to 290 W 2nd exit for York Rd.. Right on exit under overpass and get back on 290 E to hwy 64 or North ave, turn left at 15, about 1 1/2 over rail road and turn left that will lead you all the way to guard.. No night parking but truck stop close by 30.00 a night or 20.00’ for 8 hours

No over night parking but can park in the toys r us parking lot overnight until truckers mess it up

This place is absolutely horrible. Giving them 1 star (the bare minimum) is too generous. It should be -100 stars. Everyone is on a power trip and has horrible, nasty attitudes, from the guard shack, to the receiving office, to the lumper service. What others said about your time spent on their lot, they are correct. Last time here, 5:15pm appointment, arrived an hour early for my appointment, finally got a door at 10:30pm, and out the gate at 1:00am. Jewel/Osco is so bad, it makes Walmart DCs seem like heaven on Earth.
