Auto repair is hard and risky business that relies on the honesty of the customer to complete their obligations of payment, when services are delivered. Gerald has always been upfront, but most customers want Miracles with failing and aged cars without the integrity to pay what the work they want weighs.

I most definitely would not recommend; very rude and very poor customer service by owner. He do not like to be question. I ask for a breakdown parts vs labor and he got very upset. I made the bad mistake telling him what dealer wanted to charge, never every again. I will make sure I listen to the reviews the next time they were so true. The best thing he did was told me to pick up car and yes I did go back to the dealer and let them fixed it which we end up paying 1,300.

Wish I had read the reviews on Best Deal Auto before I made that costly mistake. I took my 99 GMC truck to (Jerald all talk ) the mechanic for a check engine light on, brake light on,truck cutting off..After keeping my truck for four days and $1,400.00 dollars later when I did pick my truck up I noticed that it still was cutting off after start up but the check engine light was off at that time.But after driving later on that day check engine light was back on. Call Jerald explained to him that I still had the same problems he told me to bring it back.I did take it back he hooked it up again to his little diagnostic device it said the new parts that he put on where still bad...Jerald told me to bring it back at any time he would fit me in. When I did call him back he seemed not to know what I was talking about. When I started questioning him about his work Jerald gets defensive and said I was ignorant. So my advice to anyone that looking for a Good, Honest Mechanic..Afford Jerald all talk worst deal mechanic.

I took my 2015 Nissan Maxima to Best Deal Auto Repair because my vehicle was jerking when I put it in reverse. I scheduled my appointment and showed up and the staff was very friendly. Mr. Gerald came back with the report on my vehicle and let me know that it was my transmission. Mr. Gerald told me what it would cost how long it would take and I agreed. This is my first time dealing with Best Deal Auto Repair and I must say Mr. Gerald is very direct but tells you the truth and gets to the point. Mr. Gerald took great care of my car. I have to admit I took my car to another mechanic due to my muffler being ripped off and the mechanic put the muffler on but my vehicle started making a loud noise and it was quiet before the other mechanic put the muffler on my vehicle. The other mechanic then in turn tells me my u-joint is broken so thats why my car is making a noise and that he has to order the part and it will take a week to get the part so now I go from one problem to two and now my car sounds like a John Deere tractor, but what else could I do but take this mechanics word for it. As Im driving away Im listening to WDIA and I hear on the radio about Best Deal Auto Repair and I called and spoke with Mr. Gerald and he told me to bring my car to him. I bring it in he puts it up on the rack and comes up front to get me and shows me its nothing about a u joint but my catalytic converter is broken. Mr. Gerald fixed the problem and the price was reasonable and he took the time to show me so I would understand. I took my vehicle in to get a problem diagnosed. Instead of diagnosing the problem I waited 2 weeks to get a call and they are trying to sell me a new engine instead of diagnosing what the actual problem was. I told them I could not afford the engine and I just needed to know what the issue was I was told they would call me and tell me what the problem was. I didnt hear anything for 1 month so I went to get my vehicle ( I tried contacting them but its nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone). The owner told me he tried to get in touch with me but I had no missed calls no voice mails nothing to indicate he had. I paid 97 dollars for them to look at it and when I got it back the air intake was off the air filter was half out. My battery was loose things near my seat had been disassembeled and nuts and bolts were missing from all of these things. This was a terrible experience and I highly recommend avoiding this place as I soon went to another shop had my vehicle looked at in a day and the problem identified and fixed in 3 days. This was a major waste of time and money for me. I spent 4 hours finding nuts and bolts and reinstalling everything they had done.

I bought a cheap car from them a few months ago. I asked repeatedly if the car had a clean title and was assured that it did. I could tell that it had been in an accident, but thought it had a clean title. Again, I asked if it had a clean title and was told that, yes, in fact it does. The title finally came back, I registered the car and went on with my life. Then, I decided to actually look at the title. SALVAGED VEHICLE. Its fraud to sell a car as having a clean title when it is salvaged. There was no paperwork that clearly outlined the salvage status of the car. I was lied to and defrauded, and now Im stuck with a car that might take me with it if someone hits me. These guys are beyond shady. Look somewhere else.

I paid Gerald the mechanic to make a few minor repairs to my car. He left my car in worst shape than when I brought it to him. In fact, it was no longer operable once he was done with it. When I asked him to fix the noises and misfiring that only started AFTER he had worked on it, he just gave me new estimates for more repairs. Now I have a car I cant drive and a big hole in my bank account. One of the costliest mistakes Ive ever made. Avoid this repair shop.

I took my truck to Gerald the so called mechanic. He took advantage of me because I'm a woman. I told him I was tired of the sqeaking noise and the belt finally came off. I ask him could he find or trouble shoot the problem. Well he came back the next day and said it was my harmonic balancer that was causing the noise. So he charged me out the frame for a belt and balancer. Guess what? The next day my truck was still sqeaking and for some odd reason now my truck is clicking. I tried to talk to him but he was busy lying and being rude. I warn you to stay away! And women listen to your husbands, because, I wish I would have. A very expensive lesson! I wish I could have left a big fat F, but I had to hit the star to do a review.
