Oh my!! I was ecstatic over seeing this shop! As you will gather by my many photos. I truly want to embrace and share the ambiance I felt upon entering the unique store.The young lady working there was very kind and helpful.Truly patient as I tried not to touch everything.There’s handmade jewelry, an array of book collections. With a broad focus on African American children, and history. Also Memphis history. Nice Art work, tons of trinkets, fragrances, clothing, scarfs, toiletries. There’s something for everyone.This quaint and cozy spot is nestled inside of the newly renovated Crosstown Concourse Building. Lower level south side.

Although this store is mainly known for its excellent collection of womens fashions and accessories, they also have a very nice selection of childrens books that feature African American characters and themes as well as famous Black Americans. My children and I enjoy perusing these books and picking out a favorite or two to purchase and take home. Should you be looking for these sorts of books, I highly recommend that you stop by Cheryl Peace and have a look for yourself. You wont be disappointed!

Mom just had her 70th birthday, and I wondered into Cheryl Pesces not knowing what I wanted to get her. I ended up buying all her presents there and the prettiest pop-up greeting card. Great little store- Mom loved it all.

My wife has shopped here and has found the selection of dresses available to be some of her favorites. I recently ordered a dress from this store as surprise for my wifes birthday. Ordering from the store online was quite easy. When the dress I bought wasnt the right fit for my wife, I contacted the owner to request an exchange for a different size. Cheryl, the owner, was very accommodating and made the exchange process easy. I am thankful to her and we will definitely make it a habit to visit this store again whenever we are in Memphis for a visit.

The owner was there and was inviting and fun. You can tell she loves what she does and takes pride In her business. She welcomed me as if she was welcoming me into her own home. The jewelry in the shoppe is made by her. I read a review about prices being confusing and unclear. I spent quite some time there and the price tags are clearly marked. I am confused with the one review that stated the owner was basically rude and ignored her. If you take the time to go to this shoppe and meet her, you will see she is upbeatand very talkative. Maybe she got her shoppes confused. Whether the person that gave the one star review had a horrible experience, her words, why would she take such a hard, horrible, stance to tell everyone she knows not to go to this “small” place. I find it curious that over feeling ignored or feeling this owner was rude that this reviewer spewed the way she did. I have a feeling there is more behind the review than meets the eye. If you met the owner you might see my point of view. There is a young lady that helps out also and she was as sweet as could be. She let me look at my own pace without hovering over me. She was right there and available if I had a question.

I went into this store today for the first time. When I walked in I was not greeted--I was the only customer in this tiny spot, so I spoke (to the owner whom was present). A piece of jewelry (golden-colored necklace) caught my eye, I checked the tag that was on it and the amount wasnt very clear due to some errors/corrections made when the price was written. So I asked her if she could tell me what the price was. She responded, the price is on the tag as she continued fumbling around with other things. I said well, I cant really make out what it is. It looks like may be $320 and she said yeah, i guess thats it. So I said $320? She never responded and continued fumbling and walking around as if she was too busy to assist me...a customer. At that moment, I instantly turned and walked out. She never said thank you for coming in, or please come back---nothing, so I said thank you and walked out.The experience was unpleasant, she was unpleasant, uninviting and her persona was condescending, rude and standoff-ish.. I absolutely will not come back to this place, nor support anything that has her name attached. I will also share my experience with my family, friends and co-workers who lives, work and shop in the building. Simply disgusting! Go elsewhere where you will at least be greeted and feel welcomed.

Beautiful Grace, was very helpful and answered all of my questions. Many unique items from jewelry to small furnishings to personal care products. Discovered” a lovely and long lasting perfume scent there called Maywater. It’s refreshing and original; I liked it so much that I called ahead and paid for the remaining rollerballs in the store for pickup later. I live out of state and couldn’t go home without purchasing more! Look forward to pestering my relatives in the local area to restock me. I’ll be unpopular, but I’ll smell divine!!
