Have been enjoying East Coasts Original Frozen Custard since I was a boy. I remember going with my mother and father and it was just magical seeing all the flavors they had and such a great price as well! Their staff, Caitlyn and Brad were very friendly and accommodating and created such a great environment. There are many hardworking people there and you can always count on East Coast to be the go-to for all your ice cream needs 🍦🥶

Great custard but a bit disappointed with the lack of caramel in our milky way custard cups. We both got the same thing and, where it was great custard, we expected more caramel / flavor besides the chocolate custard.Staff was fantastic, attentive and efficient. Most of all, they were friendly.

Mentor branch drive thru waiting time is anywhere from 10-15 minutes. I’ve never in my whole life had to wait so long in line for ice cream, and there were only 2 cars in front of us. I just wonder what takes so long and its like this every time I come to this location. Not coming back.

Love East Coast Custard, they have indoor, outdoor, and a drive thru in case anyone need to know. Ive never had an issue with any of my visits.

First visit. Banana pudding concrete was fabulous. Machines are quite loud inside, so maybe keep the littles outside if you can.

Try not to go when the cranky lady works the drive thru. Seems to be impatient if you don’t know exactly how to order a freaking menu item. If you hate your job that much, literally quit and enrich your life some other way. Don’t take it out on your customers, will not return. Beware the cranky lady!!!!!

Amazing!!!!! Every like three months I come here to get the Banana pudding concrete and it literally makes like just a little better. I get the jumbo (which makes me sick from all the ice cream), but its so worth it because I love Banana pudding so much is this is the closest thing I have to it when I dont have the actual thing. Also bought some Pumpkin Custard because its Pumpkin season duh lol

Highly recommended. Drive thru service was very helpful. They had a mix of custard and yogurt. We got 2 flavors in our lunch me scoop, with a waffle cone. Both of which were wonderful. They have lots of options with pints, sundaes, etc. Don’t miss this one!

This is a good place. The menu can be a little confusing, but the ice cream blows Dairy Queens out of the water. Try a concrete or a turtle Sunday, which are my favorites. Staff is always friendly. They do a great ice cream truck for work and events as well.

We are new to the area and have heard great things about East Coast Custard. We had a terrible experience! First, our order was wrong and missing part of it. We had been asked to pull up to wait and when she brought the order out, she handed it to us and walked away before we could say something. We went back around to the drive thru and the line was very long. I called and they nicely told me they would fix the mix up and give me the missing items. We were asked to drive around to the entrance. My husband went in to get the get the concrete we ordered, but were given a sundae. When he brought the concrete out, it was completely liquid! Not even slightly like ice cream. Completely like milk!!! That was the biggest $17 waste! Very disappointed and very annoyed!

Great service. Their Buckeye Concrete and White house Concretes are the best sundaes. I like them better than DQ and their Blizzards.

I went through the drive-thru, was the only person in line, and was reading the menu before the window. The employee kept poking her head out of the window. I explained it was our first time and asked what people seem to get often and she said the cones. I asked if there are any particular flavors that are popular and she said anything you want and then began to list each flavor off the list. Go to Malleys instead.

5 stars because the service wasnt bad and either was the custard. My only issue is that I informed the workers of a peanut allergy more than once because i had a small group. They gave my child a cone allowed him to eat THEN asked how severe is the allergy because the scoop has nut particles on it. I literally had to snatch it out his mouth. That is very dangerous and they should have scoops for children/people with nut allergies.

We had the truck come to our wedding and East Coast Custard was a huge hit! The custard was delicious and our guests had many options to choose from. Many went back for seconds! The staff was amazing and the cost was very affordable. I would recommend them for any event!

Good ice cream but I would stick to the lower calories. The flavor and texture of ice cream definitely stand out compared to other ice cream places around. But its too high on calories too. You can easily get extra pounds eating here all summer. Also, I noticed on several occasions that when they start running fresh ice cream batch dark metallic stream coming out with ice cream but I really eat there nowadays because I make my own ice cream at home.

Reasonable prices for really good product. Got two pints of custard, pumpkin and vanilla. Both were very good. Looking forward to the next visit.

Love this place! My family and I go all the time and they have the most amazing ice cream and friendly staff. I just called to order an ice cream cake last minute for my husbands birthday and the girl on the phone was so helpful and sweet. I highly recommend!

We love East Coast Frozen Custard! Whether just stopping in for dessert or picking up quarts/half gallons for at home, you cant beet the selection, specialty flavors, or quality of their product. Staff is always helpful and does their best to keep up with the demand. The cafe mocha shake is incredible and the banana split is highly recommended!

I was in the area for a week and had to try this place before leaving. I ordered the chocolate custard with cookie dough (a workers favorite) and it was delicious. I was actually sad that I didnt have the opportunity to stop once more before I left the area.

Frustrated because we love this place and continuously come back even though they have messed up our orders dozens of times. Didnt even provide lids at the drive thru. Love the product, service needs work

Our family really enjoys East Coast! Before heading out for our treats we can check their website for the flavor calendar, listed for each of the several locations around northeast CLE. Each day had several flavor options as well as vanilla and chocolate custard, which is served every day. There are options for dietary needs such as sugar free, frozen yogurt and regular old frozen custard. Sundaes, shakes, concretes, cones waffle cones and handpicked pints to go are available. Theres even a special treat for the family dog called a Pup Cup, which is a small scoop of vanilla frozen custard in a small bowl topped with a dog biscuit. Our dog Scooby always starts whining from excitement when we pull in. The Mentor location is open year round except for the month of January, when the owner heads south for a little bit of fishing.

It was nice, leaning heavily on nostalgia for the atmosphere. Not a huge fan of frozen custard, but it was fine. I dont want to say anything negative about it, but the experience was, to me, relatively unremarkable.

Love this place! The custard is amazing and delicious. The portions are very large, I got a concrete and couldnt finish it, had to share with my family. The employees were nice and handled a large influx of customers with ease. I will definitely be back.

Just because I gave it three stars does not mean I think its horrible. East Coast is simply just average for what it is. Neither good or bad. Normal prices. Normal tastes...etc. Im fine with going back there if I was in the area and wanted some custard right away.

Asked for 2 mocha shakes. Not sure what they gave me. But they were awful... Worst shake I have ever had in my life. Usually they are the best custard around. Never ordering them again, they are expensive. Usually worth the price. 😝😟🤑😖😠😡

Extremely disappointing. Couldn’t wait to get out of the shop. Went after having it recommended. The staff were not friendly at all. Despite no one else in the shop, the lady appeared put out that we didn’t know what we wanted straight away and were quite impatient that they needed to explain what concrete is and cost for extra toppings etc (first timers). They made two mistakes with our 5 orders and we were made to feel like it was our fault. They did remake one of them (wrong custard flavour) but while they went out of site to do so, another staff member put her head around the corner to look at us, making it clear that we had just been discussed. She then just put the replacement on the bench. No apology. No friendly customer service at any time.

If youve never had East Coast before, you have to give it a shot! Not a lot of flavors to choose from, but SO delicious. Tons of toppings to choose from, too. Better than ice cream!!

Workers appear to not want to work nor help any customer. I stood in front of the counter for 5 minutes without one word from any worker. Then, they got my order my wrong which typically is no big deal. However, when i pointed it out politely they seemed indifferent to redoing my order. I am allergic to nuts, but she only picked them out of the sundae instead of remaking it. Usually I am a fan of this ice cream place and have been coming here for years, but after this I’m not sure.

I had heard great things about this place so I decided to try it out. There were virtually no parking spots and the inside looked very crowded so I opted for drive thru. THAT WAS A MISTAKE!!! I ordered my sundae and the cup it came in was much larger than my cup holder (I have never run into the problem of it not being big enough) and the sundae was overflowing with whipped cream, which promptly fell off and fell onto me as I was driving with one hand. So messy!

Never have let me down!

This is my favorite frozen treat place! All the other ones Ive been to have tasted too sweet or too watery. This one is delicious!

As far as quick desserts go, this is my favorite in the area. They have a menu with flavors that rotate throughout the month (Spumoni is my favorite). You can buy anything from a cone to a quart to a cake.Definitely recommended.

The custard here is a local favorite. They have a lot of different flavors of custard, yogurt, and some old classics like malts and phosphates. I personally like the concretes, and get it with the cookie dough add-ins. Good prices for families.
