Upon arrival I noticed new staff, but a few of the regular Ulta employees who have been there for years. I normally shop online; however, I wanted to go in-store to look at a few shades of a lipstick because in the past my experiences at this particular store have been relatively mixed. Truth be told, it was like walking into a completely different store. An upgraded store mind you. I love this new change and I truly hope you will maintain this. Everything from the staff and service to the ambience and environment is outstanding. As not only a diamond member of Ulta, but as a customer for about 20 years—I will definitely be back.

I went in for a brow tint (first time) and the brow rep explained the technique well and results and she was super sweet! I did ask for natural looking and light, cool blonde. Seeing the results, I will say, this was not a good technique for me, personally; the lightest tint she had was too dark for me thus the amount of brow hairs I do have are now accentuated in patches and my cool blonde eye brow pencil doesnt blend well with the dark tint. Good thing this tint will supposedly fade in about 2-3 weeks; Im working on rubbing it off daily.

This one is so much better than the Boise location. Better variety of products, friendlier staff, just all around better. A welcoming atmosphere instead of a stuck up atmosphere, which I get from the Boise location.

I went in for a full color, and the color looked pretty good. But heres why Im giving it a 3-star review. The lady who did my hair talked me into getting a conditioning treatment. It felt like she didnt rinse it out all the way, and it left my hair feeling rough and sticky. Then she asked me if I wanted her to blow dry my hair. Of course I do. The full color price includes a blow dry. She acted like it was a big inconvenience to dry my hair and kept pulling it really tough while she was drying it. She also only dried my hair to get it dry, not to make it look good. She saw me running my hands through my hair and asked me how it felt. I said it felt rough. She acted surprised. So she took a straightener to it. That just made my hair strait, and it still felt rough and sticky. She also blew my hair flat to my head. No volume. In the end, my hair wasnt even dry, even after she straightened it. Also, everyone I encountered was acting really unprofessional, talking really loud about the staff member who didnt show up, or other employees who wouldnt stay at the register even after they were told many times to stay on the register. It was just a cluster. Im honestly not sure Im gonna go back after the money I spent and the weird results I got. My hair just feels damaged, rough, and sticky.
Lanita at the brow bar is so sweet. She knows what she is doing and she talks to you like she’s your friend. Highly recommend.
I went to ulta to change up my makeup and I met CODY! I just had to jump on before my concert to say gurllllllll yessss! My makeup loooks outstanding!!!!! omg I love you! Your my go to for any and all of my make up decisions! Whoop whoop

There were tons of people to help, but everyone always seemed so busy that they would just point me in a direction or spend a minute or two with me and then they were off doing their thing. I understand that they have to work and they have their things they need to get done but Im a paying customer and I needed some help. I did make a purchase but feel like I was rushed so I think I will be returning it and spending a bit more time deciding what I wanted. Huge bummer that there are no trial things out because thats how you figure out your foundation lipstick blush etcetera. So thats a huge bummer due to the covid-19
Don’t go for drive up/order ahead. I’ve done it twice... they never come outside or answer the phone and I end up having to go inside for my order.

I adore the staff at this Ulta location. They are talented, informed, friendly and so helpful. Even when it’s just a pick up order they are kind and respectful. The blonde manager (I feel awful for not knowing her name) is a gem and it is very evident she encourages and cares for her team as they have always been awesome. This locations staff deserves a raise, bonus, and a vacation!

Made an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed, and they got me in 10 minutes early! Natalie was probably the best person that has ever done my eyebrows! She cared about making conversation with me, and she made sure they were perfect before letting me leave. Will definitely be having her wax my eyebrows from now on!
The girl with the red hair I didn’t catch her name she was totally amazing with helping me find a color that worked. It’s hard with the whole pandemic going on not being able to color match and with a mask on makes it difficult but she really did amazing BIG thnx

I am a client at Ulta in Meridian (the village) for one reason, my stylist, Stephanie Oliver, a very knowledgeable, caring and skilled professional. During my first appointment she spent hours to correct my existing hair color issues. What I left with was beyond my expectations, my hair now has a rich color with an amazing sombre. Stephanie then set me up with the perfect hair products for my new look to wear curly or blow dried so I knew what to do. My hair has found its true love. I highly recommend booking your next salon visit with Stephanie at Ulta in Meridian.

I went to the hair salon with a picture of what I wanted. The hair stylist suggested how we go about achieving that look and got to work. I trusted that the hair stylist knew better than me how to achieve the color I wanted in my hair and I am severely disappointed. I did not get the vibrant color we discussed and that I showed them I wanted. The color is so subtle I can only see it is there in certain lighting. I will not be going back to this store or any other Ulta stores.
Yesterday I went into this ulta looking for hair products. There was a hairdresser working who helped me pick out products perfect for my hair type! Unfortunately I didn’t get her name but I really appreciate her pointing me in the right direction and her knowledge. Also, all the workers are super friendly, knowledgeable, and nice. I will definitely be going to this ulta again in the future.

If I could give Ulta Beauty salon zero stars I would. Horrific experience! I planned around this appointment and booked it 10days in advance i went there on time and my hairstylist/colorist has cancelled and while one could argue that it’s not costing me as much money as it would for the salon for broken appointments, ultimately you never know how much trouble or coordination people go through to give someone their business, and it boils down to feeling like your time isn’t respected at all and they feel no need to “make it right” for the customer just as a reasonable business practice.When I talked to the manager Sara- was incredibly rude-, after i refuse her service for next day then she start argue with me I have never seen anything like this.
I absolutely love Tyler! Hes been a life saver to me! This store has been more to me than just makeup and skincare. Also I brought my daughter in to get her hair done and with her having extremely curly and textured hair its often difficult to find someone who knows what they are doing. They did an absolutely incredible job with cutting and coloring her hair! Thank you guys!
Writing this review for my mother, so bear with me as I type things incorrectly and say things about these products the wrong way.This is a really good store. The staff are nice, knowledgeable, and dont pressure you into buying things like some stores do.One thing that makes this store stand out is that the hair dryers are on display and that you can test them out and see if they are for you.All in all, would recommend them for hair dryers, make up, etc. for anyone wanting to try before they buy at a good price.

I had an amazing experience at this store. My baby girl is 9 months and I havent been able to get my hair cut or trimmed for about over a year. I baby wear my baby and dont have anyone to watch her. I went in to the Ulta salon and Stephanie had no problems cutting my hair standing up while I wore my baby. She even interacted with my baby. To all the mothers out there you know just how much this means to a mother. My hair looks so much better and I was able to get it done with my baby and all. Thank you so much Stephanie! To top it all off every single employee that walked past me while I was waiting asked if I needed help and even had a conversation with me.

Ive come to this location several times and every time Im there Rudy is the first one to welcome me with a big smile on his face. He made sure I was helped in finding exactly what I needed and continued to check up on me. Not only does he know about makeup but he knows how to make you feel like a million bucks by giving you his full attention. By far the best service Ive ever received.
I went into Ulta a few days ago to look for some foundation and first off, I have to say the customer service was EXCELLENT!! Trichele helped me find the perfect color and was able to answer all my questions. She also took the time to help me pick out other products that I needed. The whole staff was polite and helpful. I am definitely looking forward to visiting the Village Ulta again.
They like to close early just because no one is in the store. Came by to look at one thing 5 minutes before close and their doors were locked. I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on since I am not welcome in this store. Too bad I cant come in to buy mascara on a Sunday after work.

Ive been a faithful ULTA shopper for many years. The Meridian store is great. Ask if Tawny is there (in the Clinique section); shes knowledgeable and helpful.
I love the service I get here. I can go in with or without makeup on and I never feel judged. The girls that work here are always helpful and insightful with helping pick out what I need for my skin. I have incredibly dry pale skin and they never try to sell me things what wont match my skin type or tone. I prefer this Ulta over Sephora any day.
Every time I have come into this location the staff is incredible rude and stand off ish. If I ask for help it’s a burden.I also had a hair appointment scheduled here 2 weeks ago and when I showed up they were like “heh you forgot to give us your number so we couldn’t call you and we sent your stylist home” so I had to reschedule (but I didn’t and went to the other Ulta instead.) but all these girls are rude and have terrible customer service.
Being new to beauty, I went in to look at some brushes that I previously researched online. I went in expecting this fantastic experience and it wasnt. No greeting, just stares.. I definetly felt more out of place. When I asked where make-up brushes were the girl said over there in the corner.. Thanks.... I find ones I want and go to check out, the girl drops them on floor and gets frustrated because I didnt click on the pin pad button, she reached over & clicked it herself. Absolute snobs & very impatient.

Spent 10 minutes walking around looking for someone to help me. No one even acknowledged that I was there let alone asked if I needed help finding something. I will take my business elsewhere since my money isnt important enough to them. Im sure another store would be happy to have me as a paying customer.

Great store. Was hard to get the help I needed because they only had one or two people on the floor and they were both swamped. Once I finally had the salon call me over some help they found me a great product.
I love coming to ULTA when I am not shopping for high end, luxury cosmetics (I supposed @ Sephora for those). Ive been a Plainim Member @ ULTA for many years now & they have awesome perks with that membership! The associates who work here arent in your face & suffocating, like they often are @ other makeup stores/kiosks.

The gal absolutely ruined my eyebrows. She also really enjoyed talking about everyone and everything. Will not ever be back to this location. She also made some rude comments and made me feel very uncomfortable. The Nampa and Boise locations have much better customer service at the brow bars.The only thing that saved this visit was the gal that checked me out, she was quite nice.
Came here around the holidays, and spent a lot of money on fragrances for the free gift. The lady who I asked for clarification said I could only get one gift, when I qualified for three gifts. I figured she was telling the truth, and went on to purchase everything and got one robe. Still, I felt weirded out by that salesperson’s answer, and went directly to the Ulta in Boise to double check.Not only were all the Boise ladies super helpful and available (unlike Meridian, where I had to go up to the lady and there were so many other employees on the floor for Black Friday just kinda standing around), but they were willing to honor the two additional gifts for me. Completely different experience, and that Boise store forever won me over. Even though the Meridian store is more convenient in location from my house, I’m still driving to the Boise location because they are simply the better store. Even Nampa’s store is better than Meridian’s in customer service!

I’m kind of mixed on this location but after reading some of the reviews I couldn’t agree more with some of them. I’m pretty natural, most days I’m only wearing brows and mascara. I have a toddler and work part time so my application time is limited and my wallet is low so I usually will shop in the NYX section. I don’t think anyone has ever asked if I needed help or said a word to me. Yesterday at check out the girl ahead of me was being treated very well, chatty, accepted.. when I walked up it was that mono tone prompted speech. It does always feel like people are eyeing you as if your going to shop lift, though I can tell you right now two young girls were sneaking through the store yesterday, whispering who knows what and constantly checking the front for again who knows what.. I get the feeling they were attempting to shop lift, I passed them too many times doing this dodging through isles not really looking for specifics but just scanning the shelves all over the store. If you wanna watch for shop lifters how about looking at people other than those who aren’t wearing heavy make up or buy the expensive stuff. I definitely feel incredibly judged when I come in there or belittled.. I go because it’s convenient but I am curious how often they check reviews and maybe if they did they should learn a thing or two. Another thing.. the popular items are NEVER STOCKED, I’ve gone in many times trying to find something and it’s never there, how about keeping this popular items stocked so that everyone can enjoy them.
Love Ulta as can usually find what I need and often have freebies. All you could ask for in makeup, hair care and perfume.
Terrible. Im a medical practitioner and wear almost no make-up for work as I am in surgery most of the day. However I love to get dressed up and wear make-up on the weekends. I love it. I have a lot of friends getting married and always need my make up done for the weddings. Ive always stopped in Sephora but wanted to check out the Ulta fad.Ill NEVER GO BACK.The girls in there treated me like I was lesser and made me feel like I was a thief or something. They acted like I was going to steal something. I was incognito for the day (no make-up, fresh out of my scrubs into some yoga pants and a tank)...needless to say I went to Sephora right after and spent $460 on make-up.To Management: Clearly this attitude starts with you & you need to get into a new industry and stop being so insecure.To Leadership: Fire your management if you want to be successful.

Went in to have a father/daughter eye brow waxing. Maia was our young lady who took care of us both. Second time working with Maia. We recommend her.
I usually just head into Ulta grab the item I came for and leave so in that aspect everyone Ive ever encountered has been super sweet and helpful. If they didnt have the item in store they gave me a free shipping coupon to order it online or if it was close to a shipment day they said to call and have it on hold if I came that day. So super helpful and nice. I drive like 25min to get here since its a million times better customer service wise then the Boise location which is horrid. But since my Boise location experience was so bad I am not really an ulta shopper any longer besides for shapetape.
I go here only if in have too. I think Amazon has better prices. I do get the coupon, but anything I want to buy is always excluded. I hate that when I check out Im always asked to sign up for the credit card..it will same me more... the staff is friendly but when I have been there and a specific question they dont have the knowledge.
The ladies are so sweet who work here. They laugh because I look like a lost dog shopping for my wife by myself.. Know your ladies skin tone gentlemen! The staff here is helpful pretty nice place and the workers are reapectable, unlike sephora employees who are just overly flirtatious. I reccomend finding out what your girl wants and going to ulta! If you want to suprise her the staff is really helpful. (Buying makeup ia a great way to get out of trouble just saying!)
Will never go into this store after what happened to my daughter! She is a 27 year old beautiful Black woman, expecting her first baby. She came to visit me this past Sunday, in the course of our visit, she told me about her experience at Ultra at The Village, the previous Friday. She said when she walked in, a sales clerk started watching her, then after awhile she walked over and asked if she could help her. My daughter told her she was looking for a good, but reasonably, priced foundation. The sales clerk told her to go to the NYC section. Daughter said no, she didnt want that. The clerk said, Can you afford it! Daughter said yes. Clerk showed her some foundation, but kept asking if she could afford it! Through this whole interaction, clerk kept asking if she could afford it. At the check out, clerk picked up some type of make-up, not anything my daughter was interested in, asked daughter, again, if she could afford it.. Daughter said yes, because, in her words, the clerk was so intimidating and judgmental, I bought it. She spent $100 and all she wanted was a simple foundation. I was furious, so with my daughter, I went to Ultra to talk to the clerk. She denied she waited on my daughter, but daughter pointed her out. Manager was brought into the conversation. Both started making excuses, first saying it is always soooo busy, especially on Saturday, then when told she was there on Friday, they said Friday was soooo busy!! Maybe a sales rep waited on daughter. Just making excuses, dont remember an apology, which would have been the least they could have done. Im furious with myself for not asking them to refund the money daughter spent on something she didnt want because she felt so intimidated. Im a white woman, was asked right away if they could help me, when I walked in. Im suggesting Ultra puts a sign up that says-----Only rich, white women allowed!!!!! Im so upset about the treatment my beautiful Black daughter received, I believe the Human Rights Commission will be my next stop. Im a very calm, peaceable woman---BUT---this was just wrong!!!!
I got so much make up for a reasonable price and everything is super pigmented and easily the best stuff in my collection.
Nice place and I like the products but they are pretty expensive and you can find some of them lower prices elsewhere.
This place is very rude. Me and a friend came in and were just looking around because weve never been there before and we got asked 5 times in matter for 2 minutes if we were doing okay. Also were followed around the store the entire time we were there. Will never come back until guest are treated better

Dont support this Ulta store. Not only did they cancel a makeup application appointment last minute saying they didnt have time, but the employee JayCee (spell?) was rude and unapologetic on the call amd acted like their mistake was my fault. The makeup appointment was for my sister to try on different shades of lipstick for her wedding--something quick any stylist could fit in, especially after the appointment was confirmed. No solutions were offered except for making a booking on a different day--no confirming that the exact same thing wouldnt happen again. Go to the Boise Ulta, go to Sephora, or buy online instead of visiting this store.
Ive been going to this Ulta since I moved to Meridian a year and a half ago. I used to be a frequent shopper at the Nampa location, ever since Ive begun shopping at this store its like they refuse to inform me about any points I have. It got to the point where if I didnt see my receipt I would have assumed they discontinued the program all together. Finally, after over a year I checked the site to see how many points I had an I had nearly $300 worth and the last redemption was well over a year ago because its not present in my history. I dont know if the associate are told not to bring them up because the store doesnt get as much credit per sale, but for someone who spends $1000+ every year it seems super suspicious to me that they dont even mention it. Today, after using points online to pick up in store, the associate only mentioned me being able to use them AFTER she handed me my receipt. Again, suspicious.Im rating this store 3 stars and not 2 because of Anita who works at the Lancome counter and a lovely redhead who works at Clinique, both who are consistently helpful and amazing!
