We are so very pleased with our kitchen. They were very professional and nice. Malita was a such a big help and so nice. Chris did our cabinets and counter top, very professional. I do not know the gentleman who added our cabinet and crown molding, but very professional.I have added a before and after picture. We had our cabinets painted, hardware added, crown molding adding, countertops resurfaced and a cabinet with glass doors added. We just love it! I will definitely recommend them.

Hi everyone! Service Doctors just finished a ceramic tile project in my Valparaiso, Indiana office. Wow, what skill and perfection in the preparation and the finish! Ive used them on a number of projects in my home and 7 professional offices over many years. Why, Im very hard to please and Service Doctors always performs! I highly recommend them. Give them a try. You wont be disappointed!

We hired this company to put in an exterior door from our basement to the outside with temporary steps. We knew we needed a permit so we didnt think we could use our handyman. It started out ok although it took a long time to even get a quote. We were told that they couldnt get to it us because they were too busy. We finally got our quote but by then the weather had turned cold so we had to wait till Spring to get the work done. When they finally got to it, suddenly we started having additional charges that we didnt expect. For instance, our wall that they were removing to put in the door had to be checked for lead paint which supposedly required special equipment and care. We were not told of this possibility at the onset but was told after we waited so long and finally the work was supposed to begin. Of course we were told that our wall had lead paint and was charged an additional fee for its required specialhandling. Interestingly enough when they cut the hole for the door and removed that piece of wall there was no special equipment, not even masks to remove it so I have no idea what this additional charge was for. Then when the temporary steps were built, which was another additional charge, they told us that we then would have to put in a railing. This is all after the initial quote. Im talking about additional charges that ranged from hundreds to thousands. We decided to make the temporary steps permanent because of the cost but then was given an outrageous quote to do it. They told us just the wood alone would cost $500 for 3 steps. We ended up having our handyman do it. The wood costs him (from Menards...he doesnt even get a discount) $200. I suggest you beware with this company.

I was truly impressed and very satisfied with the service provided by the Service Doctor technicians on July 3rd. I had both a clogged kitchen sink and a leaking garbage disposal on Independence Day Eve ! Miranda promptly brought and installed a new garbage disposal and Fred worked tirelessly to unclog the sink. I really LOVE my new kitchen. Melita and Nanette have been a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They have always been available to help me through the process and very willing and able to answer any questions and create solutions for any issues that arose. The team of contractors that came to my house were nothing short of professional, friendly and efficient. Chris did an outstanding job on my cabinets and backsplash. He was extremely professional and always kept me informed of the process and reached out whenever he needed my input. He offered helpful suggestions and advice. Stephen was exceptional in everything he handled. If there were any issues, he figured out relevant solutions to get the job done correctly. He was available for any questions or concerns I had and was willing to do whatever it took to make sure the job was taken care of correctly. I would definitely recommend Service Doctor and would use them again on another project in my home in the future.

My wife and I have wanted to update our bathroom for quite some time yet it simply was not affordable. We had Service Doctor install a water heater two years ago ( Great job! ) so my wife suggested we call them noting that they had a process available that involved resurfacing our old tub. When they came out for a free in home estimate they took pictures and measurements. They offered a variety of styles that were available while keeping us well within our budget. Once we made our selections they told us that it would be a three day process and we scheduled an appointment. On the first day John and Miranda arrived right on time. They explained step by step what would take place each day and immediately began to work. They were both professional and personable and took the time to patiently answer my 6 year old daughters’ numerous questions (LOL).They completed the demolition and plumbing portion and cleaned up the area in preparation for day two. When they arrived on day two they installed the surround, shower head and faucet and what a transformation ! They did an amazing job ! On day three two young men arrived and explained what they would do and stated they would be done by 1:00. We went to the zoo and the mall that day and returned around 2:00 and the guys were just then loading up. We went inside and looked at the finished job and we were absolutely speechless ! This was an excellent alternative at a fraction of the cost. We will definitely tell all of our friends and family about the fantastic job Service Doctor did on our bathroom ! I highly recommend that you consider using Service Doctor for your next project. We had them remodel our kitchen. They were very professional from start to finish. They worked with us on our design and choice of products. They offered a fair quote and never pressured us to spend more than our budget. John and Saul did the actual work in our kitchen. They were very meticulous about the work they did including the prep work. The kitchen turned out better than we expected and on time for the most part. They had to come back for a few hours the day after but that was because they noticed that the finish on two of our new cabinet doors had minor imperfections and they wanted to redo them. Also, John knew we were getting a new refrigerator and recommended a new water line for the ice maker so he wanted to install it before we received the refrigerator.

I am in the process of remodeling my Bathrooms. I did not need want to replace my fiberglass tub so I considered refinishing. I am so glad I did. My tub looks brand new. Felipe did a wonderful job!!! Also, he was so professional, friendly & polite. I would highly recommend Service Doctor!

Just had my kitchen cabinets resurfaced, took awhile but most good things do. I am thrilled! Before that had ceiling in kitchen painted from very dark to white, all just came together. We purchased a home that needed extensive work throughout the entire home. Service Doctor did incredible work across the board. The attention to detail and overall professionalism is beyond refreshing and frankly atypical in this line of work given prior experiences. We hired Service Doctor because they can do it ALL. Rather than hiring multiple companies to do the work, we opted to hire a company that could do everything we needed. I do NOT regret it for a second. John and Saul were outstanding! I had my tub resurfaced by service doctor 12 years ago. the tub didn’t look good. it started chipping around the drain very quickly but the 90 warranty expired. they wouldn’t repair it. it continued to chip until I found a true professional to redo the tub. he did an awesome and meticulous job and gave me a 5 year guarantee. he explained all the steps he was taking. his price was LESS THAN 1/2 of what I paid service doctor 12 YEARS AGO! What a joke...service doctor should be named quack doctor. don’t use them for anything. disgusted!

Service doctor refinished our pink bathtub to white it came out looking like a brand new tub!The technision was very professional and courteous and easy to work with. He did an awesome job. We will definently work with them again!

I called to schedule an estimate and the woman that answered the phone sound like she just rolled out of bed. Shes was very unprofessional, a total and complete turn off. From the pictures it looked like they do good work. Figured I would schedule the estimate anyway and just reach out to the owner to make him/her aware that their receptionist is running off potential clients. After I receive my estimate, Id plan to call, but funny thing: I havent received my estimate and after reading the previous emails, my guess is, I wont be getting it anytime soon. Perhaps those pictures that are online dont belong to them or some of the positive reviews are fake. I havent a clue how this company is surviving with such incompetent people. You cant be this unprofessional and do good work. No way will allow them to touch anything in my home. If you cant get basic task completed, such as answer calls with proper telephone etiquette, or giving an estimate back within a reasonable amount of time....How can I expect you to be able to do construction on my home at a professional level?

I have been waiting to write this review for over a month now which felt like forever when your excited and happy about something. From the very beginning I was impressed with Service Doctor when they decided to take on my project. I called Melita which might I add is “absolutely amazing” in a panic and needed to find a contractor that could jump right in and take on my renovation project. I needed immediate help because time was running out on getting my renovation loan approved since the other one selected didn’t meet my lenders list of qualifications. Melita and Nat came right out looked at my project and immediately got to work and saved my loan! I provided details of what I wanted to do in the space and Melita helped see my vision through. The Team that came out to do the work John, Mariusz, Patryk and others were always professional. There were times I would stop by just to see how things were going and each time I could see the work they put into making this happen for me. All of the details they left for each other to make sure they were on the same page for the project was definitely a level of communication that I’m happy to brag about! Even with the Covid-19 pandemic going on they never stopped showing up to work. They were always clean and tidy. They even sprayed down the doors with disinfectant after leaving. All that they were doing for me feel even more confident that I hired the right team of experts for the job! As I watched my house morph in front of my eyes I begin to look at other areas of my home that I’ll definitely be calling on them for. We can’t recommend Service Doctor enough! They remodeled our bathroom 2 months ago. They were punctual, professional, considerate, hardworking and trustworthy. We have a baby and John let me know each day whether it would be loud so we could leave if we needed to. Also, they completed the whole job in a week, from demo to completion. When I sold my house the buyers wanted to finish the basement before they took possession. I referred them to Service Doctor and their design team came out right away to complete an estimate. Soon after that they started the 2,000 square foot walk-out basement construction project, did a great job, high quality finishes, good craftsmanship, and very efficient. We closed on time and my move went very smoothly thanks to their team! I am now recommending them for new construction projects as well. They have a retail show room, pre-construction design team, and construction field crews. Talk about a one-stop shop! You should call them today.

I had a total kitchen remodel and foyer, new floor, cabinets, stove relocated to another location in kitchen, painting of kitchen and foyer, trim work in kitchen and foyer, the work was done by John and Saul who were on time everyday and the work was professionally done. I was impressed by their work habits and their personal attitude toward the job. If their were any problems it was taken care of immediately. I would recommend them to all my friends and family. I love my new kitchen and foyer.

The quality of craftsmanship is just not there! I dont feel I can do the quality of work that you want Randy Ralls. When the owner of Service Doctor told me this, I knew that it was time for them to go. I noticed while they were tiling my bathroom shower, that it was not going to be waterproof. The products that they chose to install were not even being installed to the manufacturers instructions. The tiles were not flat to each other, the cement backer board had a 5/8 gap in the corner, drywall screws were used instead of backer screws, the pan liner was not sloped to the drain at all and it was ripped and patched. From early on in the bathroom/living room remodel and all new plumbing ($25,000-$30,000 worth of work) I felt there was a lack of communication between their team. Day one the workers had to ask me details they should of known. Multiple attempts at ordering materials that I ended up getting on my own. In the end I finished the work myself. While going to hang a door they ordered(which is the correct size) I found the door frame that they framed and drywalled around was 3 too big. I was also told by their worker that he didnt know we were having heated floors installed, which he would of done earlier in the job if he knew. The heated floor was in the plan from day one. They left a mess of materials and supplies in my kitchen that was not being remodeled. It was not the most professional job site. To Service Doctors defense there were electrical issues that I had to straighten out, but this didnt have any affect on the issues mentioned above or any of the other issues I didnt mention. I could go on with other issues, but this review is already long enough. When a contractor tells me this is how Ive done it for 20 years and I dont feel I can do the quality of work that you want. This tells me its time for them to go and it doesnt mean it has been right for 20 years.

In March we contacted Service Doctor to redo our bathroom after reading some good reviews about them. We were not disappointed! From the beginning of the project until the end everyone was very courteous and professional. They redid our plumbing for the tub and shower, installed a new floor, new vanity and toilet, painted the tub and surround and repainted the bathroom, all for less than half the cost of replacing the tub and surround. Service Doctor always does a great job and they guarantee their work. I’ve had them do a number of projects at my home, large and small. They always work around your schedule which is great. Recently I had a leak in my toilet tank and Saul came out twice to ensure it was fixed and did a great job!

Dwayne came on Tues. to resurface our Harvest Gold tub to a Pearly White, he did a FANTASTIC job and we are quite happy. Working with the folks at Service Doctor to schedule a day and time was very easy. Cost was fair and all is good:) Just wish there was a way to get rid of the smell quicker but guess thats part of the deal:( Have had other work done by Service Doctor and all those projects are still in good shape, would for sure recommend them!!!!!

Ive utilized Service Doctor the last two years for several repairs/improvements on my brothers mobile home. Had an estimate on 8/30/18, as of today, 9/27/18 still have no estimate, Angie wasted 2 hours of our time and a month later nothing. Emailed Sarah 2 weeks ago asking where our estimate was, never got a response. Why even offer consultations, especially when you are too busy that is all we have heard....

Tyler came out to repair a crack in our tub and did a fabulous job. He was polite and his work was as if the tub was brand new. You wouldnt even know he had been there accept that he corrected my lame attempt at trying to repair the crack myself. He was worth every penny.

Based on the reviews here, I called for an estimate. They came out quickly (although 15 minutes late). It’s been over two weeks without an estimate, so I emailed to find out what happened. I was told they’ve been really busy and forgot. We need our job done asap and have now wasted two weeks thanks to Service Doctor. Three days after I emailed, I did receive an estimate - double what other area companies were asking. Obviously, they just didn’t want the job, so why waste my time?

I had a crack in my bathtub. My husband and I went to Mines in Munster and they recommend Servicw Doctor. They gave me an estimate of 300 dollars. I had them do the work. Less than a week later there was what looked like a small crack. I had them come back and they fixed it. They said it was only a crack in the finish. Less than 2 weeks later there was an even bigger crack. When I called them back they said it would be 3 weeks until the owner could come and look at it. In the meantime i am unable to use my shower. I am very disappointed. John came 2 days later and fixed the tub. He was very professional and I have not had a problem since. I wiuld recommend them to others. Thanks

The guys that came in were very neat and professional. I was disappointed that it was not explained to me over the phone that there would be a difference in color. Also the price was quoted on the phone before they even seen the job, which seemed strange. Other then that it was a reasonable price for the work they did and it seems they did a good job.

Over 4 years ago Service Doctor re-surfaced our 60-year old cast iron tub with a 5-year Warranty. When it developed a very small area of rust around the drain plug, I contacted Service Doctor and they promptly responded by scheduling a skilled technician to repair it at no charge -- a company that lives up to its promises.

They installed new hardwood flooring and refinished existing hardwood flooring to match. Also replaced base trim and shoe. Ive been regretting using them ever since. Typical salesman on the front end promise you world, but the work never delievered. Poor craftsmanship.

When changing faucets in my master bath we were stuned to find a hole under the old spout on top of our whirlpool tub that the new faucet spout did not cover. I went to my local plumbing supply to see if I could purchase a matching bezel for under the spout that would council the hole. To my dismay, there was nothing available. They recommended Service Doctor. I went home and called them immediately. They came out the next day. The technician spent a little over an hour expertly filling the hole, sanding it and blending in the finish with an air brush. The results were amazing. You cannot see any trace or indication that there was ever a hole or a repair. The repair cost was significantly lower than replacing the tub and worth every penny.

We had a truly remarkable experience with Service Doctor from start to finish - and even later. We needed the suround in our bathroom tub/shower re-tiled. First, the young lady that came out to bid on the project was very professional, and kind to my wife. Second, their bid was more than competitive with others received. Meeting with their rep at their location and choosing the materials also went very well. The workers came as scheduled, their craftsmanship was excellent, and they even cleaned up after themselves better than others we have worked with. After the job was completed, Service Doctor called to check on our satisfaction and I had a question. To their credit, they sent a guy out to make a 10 minute adjustment and the work turned out perfectly. Great to talk to on the phone but be concerned if they will show up! 2 techs for the whole company both having issues so they call a half hour before arrival to tell me no one will be coming out, when this has been scheduled for over a week and I had to schedule time off work! I do not have other days to schedule! What a disappointment! I certainly do not recommend this company regardless of their excellent work reviews.. I guess the key is to get them to the job first.

She checked with John on some concerns I had before they began to repair the damage to my cast iron tub. They made it seem so simple and repaired it like new again. I had my bathtub re-coated a few years ago. I recently had someone do some additional bathroom repairs and they damaged the finish on the tub. I thought my only alternative was to live with this damage. I met Randy through a former co-worker. My friend mentioned that Randy was the owner of Service Doctor. I related my story of the damage to him and he advised that the tub could be buffed out. I didnt know how to do this process. Randy said he would send a serviceman out to take care of it. Within 2 days his employee called and setup a time to come out. The repair took about 45 minutes and now looks like new again. I cant thank Service Doctor enough. I thought I would have to spend hundreds of dollars to accomplish the same results. I will call Service Doctor for my next home improvement. Thank you Randy.

Service Doctor has been OUTSTANDING. They are doing work on my home. Their prices are reasonable and Randy Ralls, the owner, is a man of integrity who will stand behind his work. Ive had work done at my home with shady contractors in the past that also gouged me for price with shoddy work. I could recommend Service Doctor or Mr. Ralls any higher. If you have ANY work that needs to be done on your home call them!!!

Service Doctors team of Saul and John just completed a tub surround for us. They were professional, curtious and very skilled. I would highly recommend them. The scope of work included remove existing tile and backing, old insulation, add new greenboard, new insulation, new fixtures, change out old pipes w/ new and install a Kohler solid surface surround, two shelves and three hooks. They provided the materials we specified and returned quotes and reviosions promptly.The only thing that would have improved this experience is a call day before to confirm appointment.

I am writing a letter of recommendation for Service Doctor and Tami Blatz. I had most of my entire home remodeled this year. The entire project was a huge success. All workers and staff performed in an excellent manner. All timelines were met in a timely fashion. Tami would email me or call before any changes were made.Tami was courtesy and explained in through the repair cost. She was also there to help me pick out the kitchen. It was too simple. It didnt take long at all to pick things out. Tami seem to know what I wanted before I did. The most important thing to me was the fact that all the important people involved were under the same roof, i.e. architect, engineers, designers and contractors. The lead carpenter, Joe and Mike, was especially easy to work with. The clean-up was done every day and if needed work was even done on the weekends. I have recommended Service Doctor to all my friends who might need some work and look forward to a long friendship with the entire staff. Most people are so happy when the project is finished. I actually miss seeing Joe and Mike and my meetings with Tami. Thank you all for a more beautiful home. It looks even better than I imagined it would. Love that I didnt have to run water through the pipes to keep them from freezing this winter too.
