Went to LKQ at 4:50 pm.They close at 5.I knew it would be a long shot to buy an alternator 10 minutes to close...But.. Literally the only parts store still closed to customers for covid.So you have to call 800 number on the door to order your part.A man walked out who obviously worked there and I give him credit he went back inside to see if the guy working could help me...And he came back a few seconds later and said he couldnt find him .Call the 800 number.No one answered... On hold past 5... So I gave up and left.Today I called, and they have prompts.. business press 1, insurance company press 2,Regular Joes looking for a part press 3.Im beginning to think they never answer that one.Because after being on hold waiting for 20 minutes I gave up and just drove to Metro in Valpo. There I was meet by friendly staff, and helped instantly. So the drive is annoying but the customer service is worth it. LKQ will never get my business. They obviously dont need it.
Been on hold for 45 minutes all I needed was a wheel and tire got off early to come here and they just wasted my time Ill never come back
Not a fan of this place. Lot of run around, havent changed their covid hours which is a joke. Why you close at four pm, due to covid? Is that the covid hour?

I purchased a rear differential from here and it was worse than the one i pulled out, i drove here to pick up an ABS pump motor and when the guy handed it to me and i said its broke and he said oh you cant use it? Its just a hassle every time we pickup parts here, they try to charge you for a core even if you have the core with you. They can never find the part you ordered over the phone. Just very unorganized and incompetent!!! This place is my absolute last option!!!!
After walking an auto scrapyard for 2 hours and not finding even a few of the parts I needed, I decided to call LKQ. They were able to locate all of the parts I needed and at reasonable prices. The shipping and delivery was speedy, all parts arrived in 2-3 days. I will definitely be back to get any and all parts I will need in the future.
I have bought a lot of different parts from here. They always have what I need at good prices. The guy at the desk is awesome. Very friendly and helpful.
We buy on average 9-10K in parts a month, We have only bought from LKQ a few times because each of those times the part showed up at different price than quoted, cant get cores picked up, our sales rep is not helpful, hes rude and quick to get you off the phone. Twice now I have called to talk to someone else about the problems I have with them and they always transfer me to him. We will no longer be giving them another chance.
I normally dont leave a review unless its 5 stars. I have never been dissatisfied with a product from LKQ. But I have to do everything in person. Getting through on the phone is often unsuccessful with hold times often exceeding 20 minutes.G says theyre open till 5 but theyre only open till 4:30. Like I said I have never been dissatisfied with them. They are just hard to do business with because the phone system creates a bottleneck. Also, if you call at 4:40pm and are on hold the whole time, the recording will come on at 5 p.m. and tell you theyre closed and hang up on you. Definitely could use some improvement there.
Extremely friendly staff and unbeatable prices on used tires. The used tire I purchased was practically new and was more affordable than any place around.

Doesnt even deserve 1 star. They had me on hold for 40 minutes and 38 seconds and when it hit 5pm (closing time) they hung up on my holded call. I gave them my business 3 times before and wouldve given them my business today but they can go to hell now...really pissed off. Your customer service sucks! Ill go elsewhere from now on.

Horrible service unfriendly staff poor communication they have core charges and if u pay cash for the core when u return it they return your money with a check that u have to wait 30 minutes to get then go to the bank to get your money back They also do not support our 2nd amendment right
Great prices on good used parts
LKQ sold me $1800 engine for my Ranger and it arrived with bright orange spray paint all over the valve covers and everything supposed to have 57000 miles on it and they wont give me my money back and it was one week late for delivery engine that are supposed to have a 1 year or 12000 mile warranty and they wont give me my money back and they keep hanging up the phones the worst customer service I have ever seen and the manager Chris keeps saying hes put my money back into my account and I have not seen it its been a couple of weeks now
