I left my Dell laptop charge cord in a hotel in CT. I know that universal chargers dont work as they are chipped. The big box stores only carry the universal so I started calling. I was not disappointed in The Computer Shop!! Great service that was fast and fair. Always support your small businesses!!

Very nice people here. While on the phone, they explained they would see if they could put an order in for to replace my weak/dying laptop battery. I had also asked if they fix the broken screen of another laptop for a relative of mine, and they explained to me, very politely, what they could do. However, they said they would call me back when they have the battery in stock but I never recieved a call back. Its been 3 weeks now.I understand the business might be busy sometimes, I just wish I had recieved some sort of email, text or something from them, because I enjoyed talking them!I will update when I do go into the place and get service done.Keep in contact with your potential customers! It helps build better relationships and improve the amount who wish to return : )

I showed up on a Saturday morning with a camera that was compromised on a laptop by one of my kiddos pushing it in. I had no idea if it the camera would be even be able to be fixed. Let me tell you, within 15 minutes my laptop camera was as good as new. The service was prompt and professional and it was great to see a father son duo working together. Thank you so much, I will be back for them to look at my temperamental MAC.

My journey to a new machine was one fraught with unexpected pitfalls and punctuated with glorious highs. Through it all I worked closely with Jonathan from start to finish. First of all, communication was excellent and I was kept abreast of any issues and progress (as well as the occasional unexpected aforementioned pitfalls). Secondly, I explained what it was that I was looking for (a gaming rig that incorporated upper-middle parts in terms of performance/price) and I gave him a budget. He came up with a number of different possible combinations for me to look over and choose from. When it was all done I was WAY under my expected budget and the machine works like a dream: boots fast, runs fast (and quietly), has zero issues playing my games, music, videos, etc. And best of all, there was no pressure to buy any certain parts but plenty of feedback regarding pros/cons of the parts as well as a reasonable and realistic time frame and straight talk regarding what was being done and what to expect (i.e. no fluffy rainbows being blown up or down my chimneys, if you catch my drift). All and all, excellent all around and highly recommended.

I highly recommend this place! Joe worked long & hard to restore the workings of my laptop. He called me often to give me updates. After I got the laptop back he wanted me to feel free to call him if I might have any additional questions. It was well worth my 60-mile round-trip drive to The Computer Shop in Middletown, NY.

Great service in this shop! I took in my laptop because it was not charging when plugged in and Joe did a quick once over for free to see what could be the cause. Needing to look into it further I left my computer there and in less than a week he had the part ordered and swapped out and the computer back to me. The whole way through there was great communication on what was going on. Didnt try to over sell me, nor did he gouge me in labor costs. Ill definitely be bringing more computer issues to Joe at The Computer Shop!

Friendly local computer repair shop. I had a small project, soldering my mavic pro wing back into the board, which he had never seen before. 2 days like he said (he had opened up from holiday with 4 computers on his desk) and the bird works perfectly.

I was there for a repair, my expensive video card was bad. Joe explained to me that for my uses, the video card on the original motherboard was adequate. He popped out the bad card, reset the computer, and demonstrated the function using the motherboard, which was fine. He also discovered that one of the main cooling fans was not working, and replaced it with a used fan from the same model computer. I was done and back on the road within 15 minutes, at very minimal cost. While there, I also noticed that he had many used laptops, tablets, all at prices that rivaled the best Ive seen for reconditioned computers online. Best thing, he made no effort to sell me on things I did not need, like new cards or fans. Super first visit and Ill be back there for my next IT need.

Took my MacBook Pro there that was infected with some nasty type of malware. He repaired it promptly. Great service at great prices. What more could one ask for ?

When I bought my first laptop, not only did I get a great deal, but the owner Joe threw in a mouse and a briefcase.When that laptop met its end, Joe gave me a discount for the old model...This weekend I had some malware, I made an appointment to bring my laptop in & within 10 minutes it was up & running, NO Charge...You would be a fool NOT to buy your PC or laptop here...Joe is very pleasant to deal with & he donates computers and tech support to an after-school program in the City of Newburgh, which helps to keep kids off the streets. That is the kind of man you will deal with.
