My appointment was on 6/17. I ordered both new glasses and new lenses for my sunglasses. The associate told me it should take about 2 weeks, at the most, for them to arrive. I started calling after 2 weeks to check on expected delivery. I realize that there was a long weekend over July 4 th when things were closed. I began checking on July 6th to get an update on delivery. “Still not ready. We will check lab and get back to you.” No return phone calls. No updates. I am now being told they won’t be ready until July 16th, at the earliest, due to a problem at the lab. If the order was placed on time, the “ error” at the lab would have been discovered before 3 weeks had passed. I have already paid over $540.0.00 and no glasses. Yesterday was the first time someone “ got back” to me. I am very satisfied with the examination and the professionalism of the staff. However, having to wait for over a month for my glasses is unacceptable. I have been given the run- around regarding my order and am very doubtful that the order was placed on time and not overlooked. Will rethink using My Eye Dr. in Middletown next time I need an appointment.

This place is very professional not sure why their was a negative review. It was good from being checked in to my visit with the eye doctors and the purchase of my glasses. I have been with them for a few years. The service has been consistent.

I have a child diagnosed with severe social anxiety. Yes he just turn 18. In the many texts and emails I received along with going into the portal prior to my appt. To assure our info was up to date. 820am on a sat. Im attempt to check in. My child was being denied an appt. As he didnt have Id on him( not a law that u must have your license for an appt!) As I attempted to explain and state that 1. Its not law 2. Child was with parent 3. Protected under the disability act. And mom had id and insurance cards. With her!I was then approached by an unasked 25 year old whom refused to give her name but came right to my face. Stating she was just gonna call the police and refused to call supervisor. Finally the dr. Comes out and I speak with her. Dr told the woman to call supervisor. This woman kept running her mouth and would not stop threatening. Finally its time for my son to go back and at this time Im confronted with another female whos trying to keep me from going back with my son. Were back at machines I beleive a glaucoma testing machine. When the M.A. starts with I dont feel comfortable. Oh well I wasnt doing anything. But my phone was in hand and I was recording thankfully so. Im then approached by an ungloved receptionist bringing only me a paper mask. Asking that I put it on. (Just me not my son) however let me note we both walked in masked! I did put the mask on thou over top the one I was wearing Then 25 yr old approaches me mask below nose telling me I wont have an appt this morning. So at that time told son lets go. No appts today the dr approached again and as I tried to explain the situation the 25 yr old would not shut up to the point she stated not just once but twice im lucky shes clocked in so my eye dr. And there supervisor in middletown supports this behavior and the dr there as well as its all on FILM!!

Turn around and leave!!!! Do Not do business with this establishment. The people here are unprofessional and inexperienced. Just look somewhere else! My first lens fitting was done incorrectly so I could not read or use my computer with my glasses. They offered to fixed them and tried.The person who handled my glasses today did not offer to adjust them or fit them on my face. She demanded I pay my bill before she even adjust my glasses to see if the fit was good. I waited over a month and she could not even offer me a chair and a fitting. I have been a customer at this location for over 10 years. I always paid on time and never have paid late. When I get this situation resolved I will never use this company again. Just shameful!!!

My experience has been mediocre. One of the doctor provided excellent service while the other who saw my wife and daughter was average and more focus on pushing glasses and extra services.

Last week I saw on your web site you cut your hours, not open in the evening any longer. So this week I’m home early so I stop by to look at frames and you have the door locked, open by appointment only. Do you think that may have been something you could have posted on your website. Business with poor customer service will not remain open very long in this business climate.

Scheduled appointment a week prior for 1pm. Told the receptionist my phone number (twice to confirm). I arrived 10 minutes early to hear that they had changed my appointment to noon so the Dr could rearrange his lunch. They advised Dr would be back at 2pm but could not fit me in. They allegedly attempted to call me to notify me of this earlier that day but had the wrong phone number in their system (this is not the first time they “allegedly called and had the wrong number” - similar incidents with my sons glasses - same phone number). Said they had nothing available until the next week. Very disappointed with their level of incompetence.

My appointment was scheduled over a month ago and even received the reminder on December 28 for my appointment time of 4. We arrived early for our appointment to have out the doctor left at 3 for the day. The receptionist, which was the same person I made my appointment with, said my appointment was changed to 1:30 today. I showed her my phone that displayed the text from December 28 for the time of 4 for today. Sad that the only thing they could say was a different location could take the appointment. Sad I will not be turning here again. Changing appointment times so the doctor could leave early. Not professional people at all!

I cant review this location highly enough. I stopped by, unannounced, on a trip from PA to Dover with an eye emergency and very little time. Mike, one of the consultants, was able to get me situated and on my way in less than 10 minutes. Some of the best customer service and genuine kindness Ive ever experienced. I wish I lived closer so I could come to this location to renew my prescriptions and buy new glasses or contact lenses. I plan on visiting my local MyEyeDr in PA the next time I need any eye care. Seriously, I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you for your amazing service and generosity!

PLEASE MY FELLOW AMAZONIANS AND FAMILIES AND FRIENDS PLEASE READ THIS REALLY HAPPENED. DONT GO TO THEM, SIMON EYE DOWN THE ROAD HAS GOOD PRICES .It was over a year ago I went into the location in Middletown DE. At first I thought ok they where able to get me in that day. The appointment was about hour wait. So I thought wait around check out the glasses. There was one other customer in at the time and a employee was working with them. I was dressed in a old pair of shoes torn Jeans and old winter coat. I waited about half hour for the employee to finish but a couple came in they had on normal clothes. So the employee was aware of me because I walked past several times. But when they finished with the customer thwent over to the customer to see how to help them. Left me standing there . I did get the eye exam done but will never do business with My Eye Dr again. I work for Amazon in Middletown and we have a comment board every time I get a email from My eye Dr I write a negative comment about My Eye Dr on our board so all associates can see. I tell any employee of Amazon to stay clear they are a scam. When I go back to work thursday I will make sure to put a negative comment on the board again. It takes a lot to get me this upset with a company.

We always had our glasses and test with them it was very good. However; last time we bought new glasses that took over a month. We had to go to their office more than twice and several calls before someone said whats going on. Very unprofessional attitude and poor extremely poor service. Even the manager did not know why our glasses werent ready. I think that was the last time we get some service from them.

My experience with the MyEyeDr location in Middletown DE was wonderful! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. All of the doctors at that location are great also! Would highly recommend this store to anyone!

In April of 2018, I purchased a pair of KD Nike frames along with myeyedr insurance for frames /lens incidentals, for my teenage son. In Sept of 2018, the frame detaches form the lens, so I return them to the location and order a new frame. In November of 2018, my son tells me the frames are broken again. I return the frames to the store to be told that the insurance that I purchased are only good for one time use and if I wanted to purchase another pair of glasses, the store manager is willing to sell them to me for 50% off ($155 dollars). I was never informed that the insurance is for one time use only. He later informed that I should have a been advised to purchase a thinner lens which could have prevented the previous damages to the frames. Thankfully the eye care specialist inform me that the manufacturer might be able to replace the $310 frames for me instead. The manufacturer was contacted and the third new set of frames will be mailed to out. But It can have happen again... because of the weight of the lens. This could be a total waste. of $635 dollars.I think it unfair that I misinformed about the insurance and also misguided on the lens/frames as well. I have used this company for several years and Im sorry to say this will be that last time.
