My favorite liquor store in Middletown and maybe all of Delaware. If you are into Bourbon, check this place out. Great selection and no price gouging. Friendly and helpful staff as well.

Huge selection, I was surprised they had 40s in there, Ive been to a few other liquor stores and havent been able to find these huge leviathan of a beverage. If youre looking for something new or old this place wont disappoint.

Great wine selection but I always look for Double Cannon IPA and they don’t always have it. The one time I needed help the guy was really nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve had a couple people on the register that haven’t been very friendly/polite, but most of the time the people are great. Gotta say, I’m a music lover, but they could turn the music down a little.😜

I shop here 3-4 times a month. My most recent trip was not a good one. I saw that they had a new Yuengling, so I thought I would try it since it was on sale. I got up to the register to find out that the sign was wrong, I took a picture of course and showed the gentleman at the register. He said the sign is wrong, I explained that they advertised and that price should be honoured for me and then they can change the sign. He said No, the sign was wrong. When I was in retail, the sign price would have been honoured. I will now take my business down the street, there are many stores in Middletown these days. So for $14.99, they will lose all my business from here on out. - Update, just sent the owner a message in Facebook and he said if I come in he will honor the price. I will keep you posted.

Been going to this store faithfully pre-covid. They have the best beer, wine and bourbon selection in MOT. The extended hours till midnight is a blessing for those that get off late. Not to mention the music is always great and lifts my spirits =) If you ever need anything ask for Paul during the day or Josh at nights and they will be sure to take care of you 👌

First time in since we moved to Middletown and we are pleasantly surprised! As soon as we walked in we were asked if we needed help and were shown a variety of wines. Never felt rushed and felt like they genuinely wanted to show us their favorites. Will definitely be back!

I was followed around like was trying to steal something not cool..... Especially if I had a case of beer in my arm. A bad way to show hospitality to your African American former customers...

Apparently decent prices (DE no tax), but many empty spaces on the shelves, especially wines.

Was very impresses with the staff and help they offered. They personally engaged with me and know the value of local business. I am a huge Bourbon fan and was given a heads up that some limited edition releases were coming in soon. I was able to get a couple of them. I really like the one per customer on the special bottles.

Love this place! ... Mostly for the staff - not to mention the prices are more than reasonable.

I went into this liquor store for the first time last night and I was just browsing for some beer and wine and the gentleman had given some great customer service finding the cheapest wine possible preferably Melot and now we are getting saucy on some cheap wine 🤪

Empire is my go-to liquor store. It is convenient, it has friendly staff, a good selection of beer, wine and spirits. I havent comparison shopped prices, but my impression is that they are competitive with the other stores in Middletown.

This is by far the best liquor store Ive ever been to here in DE. I found it by accident a few weeks ago. Its about 30 minutes from me and its worth the trip. They have items I havent been able to find anywhere else. This is my go-to liquor store from now on!

This place is AMAZING! Such kind staff, GREAT SELECTION and tastings- make sure to visit Thursday -Saturday for a truly amazing experience but if you miss it don’t worry they will be back at it next week! Also, hours are so convenient; open until midnight everyday except for Sunday which is open until 7:45! Check em out!!!!

So today was my first time entering the store. I arrived at 7:35pm. I grabbed a shopping cart and proceeded to shop around. As I am choosing my last selection, I here someone yelling out hello ms, YO! Ms, we are closing at 7:45 I turn to see it is the cashier the guy with the beard who is screaming this. I looked at my phone the time was 7:41pm. I found that extremely rude, its not like I didnt have time to get one more item. So I left without buying anything. And I got in my car to write this review. While in the car I see the cashier come out at 7:46pm to smoke a cigarette 🚬

I love Empire Wine & Spirits the prices are Cheapest in town, Huge Liquor store with Huge Variety of wine and craft beers which you can’t find around.Owners are nice, Place is Clean and well Organized.

This is the absolute best liquor store in the area. They are knowledgeable, kind and uber capable. If you want something, they can get it. Now that they are here, we don’t go anywhere else.

I was going to try this place but I think the owners need to use better judgement. Luckily my kids werent with me when I popped in, but the music playing had foul language and was tasteless. Dont get me wrong, i listen to plenty of foul language tasteless music. But seriously, in a place of business, show a little class.
