First cell phone I took here was going to be a trade in. Replaced screen and seemed fine. Then I took iPhone 11 Pro Max for cracked screen. He replaced. Screen flickered a lot and would open apps by itself. I took it back. He said it was my phone and probably had a short in the battery but would replace anyway. All the while he was trying to make me feel guilty for him losing money. Screen stopped flickering but my earpiece and Face ID stopped working. Took to someone else. I watched as he opened it and showed me that the flex cable to earpiece had been torn. I took it back to Cell Phone Repair. He still blamed on my phone until I told him what other shop showed me. Then he said it was cheap materials that break all the time. He would replace for 100 after already charging me 225 for screen. I replaced earpiece myself after this. That’s when I noticed that he also did not replace all screws holding inside plate. Recommend going somewhere else

Tried to get my iPad glass replaced. He said it was done I looked at it, it looked kind of weird. I paid for it I walked out and looked at it closer while I was in my car and it was sliding down. I took it back in and told him. He said it was my fault because I moved the tape, which I did not. I got a little angry so he said he would fix it which he did not but I took the loss and left. Since, it has cracked very easily because it slid out of place. I recently took it somewhere else to get it fixed again and they told me he put tissue inside of it to hold the button in place and he didnt even use the right kind of glue thats why it was sliding. I recommend Repair Bud at the mall. So far no problems..

This sweet man fixed an IPhone 7+ with a very reasonable price for the condition the phone was in. It took him less than 20 min to fix prior of going to him we were being charged way more and had a 4 day wait! again he only took less than 20 min!!! Highly recommend

He repaired such an important phone! The screen suddenly went black on my dad’s Galaxy S7 and he has hundreds of business contacts. Because it wasn’t synced, all of the information would have been lost without fixing the screen. He replaced the screen and installed a new battery for us. He did have to order the screen in and we happily placed a deposit for that. Finished the phone the day after placing the order. Life saver!!

Don’t ever go here he doesn’t properly fix your phone my front camera doesn’t work and he switched out my battery with one that doesn’t even hold a charge he, also tried running my card at his other location south on big spring street multiple times,

The owner fixed my phone screen for the same price we agreed to on the phone a few days before. There are lots of comments on here regarding fluctuating prices. Please understand that small businesses may not have detailed pricing lists clearly defined and that is perfectly ok. Business activity levels change and so should prices. This was the lowest quote I received from three or so repair shops.

Gave him an iPad with a cracked screen. It took weeks of phone tag for him to admit that he didn’t actually know how to fix it. Once I demanded it back, he said he had finally figured it out and then proceeded to charge us $400. With 24 hours, the button broke off and it was unusable. Then choosing to take it to someone else for repairs, they opened up a VERY bent frame (that wasn’t bent before by the first repair man) only to find duck tape holding wires together and business cards trapped inside. It was unbelievable. NEVER USE THIS MAN. He clearly has no idea what he is doing. If I could give 0 stars I would.

This man is horrible he replaced my sons iPad screen the home button wouldn’t work I took it back it worked for a few hours. I took it to a different place they found tissue shoved under the screen and missing brackets. Do not waste your money here

Worst customer service ever!!! I went to get my sons iPad screen replaced. $130 and it was not worth it! Fingerprints and dust could be seen under the screen. Broken glass was still underneath. I pressed slightly on the screen bc it was sticking up and the screen cracked. I went to show him and he got mad at me saying it was unfair to him! Well sir do it right the first time!

I still have an iPhone 5S since it was still working fine until one day, I couldn’t get it to charge. I did soft and hard reset already but to no avail. I decided to get in touch with this guy for an iPhone repair and lo and behold, my phone was charging once again! Thanks a lot!

The guy that answered told me the price was 249.99 for screen repair for my xs max and then said today he would only have me pay 220.00 and i simply asked the man if there was a deal going on that day and he proceeded to tell me am i coming in or not i said politely sir i was simply asking a question and he said the exact same thing “are you coming in today or not” i would not recommend this business what so ever they are rude and dont even try to show any consideration for the customer at all while still giving a continuous attitude the entire time

When I returned to discuss a refund for a failed attempt at resealing my Apple Watch screen (the owner improperly applied glue to my Apple Watch. CPR applied specific tape meant for iPhones and watches) the owner - no joke - called the Police on me.Called. The. Police.The original charge was $45 and I initially asked for $20 back and continue future business here. When he said he was “getting the cops here and they will decide what I’ll do” I was shocked. I stayed to confirm with the officers that there was never a threat and I would peacefully leave.I’ve never left a review before because I do my best to support small businesses, and understand that things happen. But this is not how one should treat customers and more importantly, local law enforcement.

Wish I could pick no stars. Took phone in to replace cracked screen. Fixed it very quick--while i was there. I started to get nervous as I read all the signs around the store that stated they would give no refunds and that they werent responsible for any problems with the phone and so on. I left the store and realized the screen had all these colored lines through it. I called him immediately and drove back over. This time he wasnt near as friendly or careful with my phone. He hurriedly took the screen off. Slapped another on there. He even tried to sell me another screen protector and I told him hed just sold me one. He didnt want to believe me because he wanted to sell another to me. Finally, he peels the screen protector off the bad screen and sticks it to the new screen without even pushing air bubbles out.We started using the phone and the p and the backspace button wouldnt work. I knew they had been working before I took it in. So I go back a third time. I explain the problem and that the phone didnt have this problem when I brought it in the first time. Then he got real defensive and told me it was an old phone and I should get a new one. I couldnt believe it. He claims to fix phones and yet he didnt want to fix mine. I demanded my money back but of course he wouldnt give it back. I told him I would give him a bad reference so here it is.Took my phone to Office Depot. They put on a new screen--which fixed my p and backspace problem and it only cost me $75 instead of $115. Live and learn.

If I could give him 0 I would because I went in with a working phone just cracked the next morning I woke up and the screen was black but my alarm was going off and it was on. so I took it back to him and he put a new screen on and now it was working but my iPhone was boot looping and wouldn’t turn on. I took it to battery joe and they told me that he broke a piece in my phone and they replaced it....the screen works now but the facial recognition,back camera, and flashlight can never work again on my iPhone X. Totally not worth it and he wouldn’t give me a refund. I ended up spending less to put on a new screen and replace the piece he broke than he charged me in the first place. Also they told me my phone was missing a lot of screws and was scratched on the inside and the screen was cheap, that was the first time it was taken apart.

So unprofessional! I was calling around to get quotes and he told me to come on in, he’d give me the best price at $200+. When I said the place down the road does it for $70 he hung up on me! Definitely go elsewhere.

If I could give a half star I would! We arrived to the store at 4:45. The sign on the door said open and there was another that said Sun. 12-6. So my husband gets out to go in... the doors locked. So, I call the number, also posted on the door. I ask if theyre open since theres 2 signs on the door but, I was curious if theyd changed the hours and just didnt take down the signs. Im interrupted by him asking me What phone you have. I tell him Were sitting out front and if youre not open well come back. To which I get interrupted again by him Maam, can you just listen to me? Ummm, no. I was interrupted by you twice, I wasnt rude and was even offering to come back later. But you want to be rude to a potential customer so Ill just go somewhere else. I hang up and he had the nerve to call me back! Yelling at me that I wasnt listening to him! I will NEVER even consider stepping foot in there again and wont recommend him to anyone I know! If you are rude, interrupt and then yell at a potential customer... you dont need to be in business.

My iPad mini tablet had a cracked screen and I needed a new screen when he took it apart he broke the LCD screen and bent my tablet and said that your lcd screen was gonna go out soon anyways and I just told him to put everything back together and he still charge me 70 bucks I took it down the road and had some other guy fix it he installed all original parts on it and he told me the person who is working on it broke the LCD screen he was just being too rough with it. Don’t go here this guy needs a different line of work he don’t need to be messing with peoples electronics.

I would give ZERO stars, but it wont let me!! He tried to fix my phone charging port. Took a long time and helped several other customers while i was waiting. When I left the main speaker wasnt working (it worked fine when I showed up), took it back and there was tension between us because he was saying it was working when I left. I just didnt realize the bottom speaker wasnt working. He reluctantly took it apart and fiddled with it ( he didnt seem to have a clue what he was doing) screws all over the place and he was using a screw driver to pry things around to try to get them to fit. Well he managed to get the speaker working. I called my wife and she couldnt hear me at all. Now the microphone wasnt working. I didnt even bother going back because of how bad the past experience was. I went to another repair place who stated that 8 screws (8 friggin screws) were not re-installed. once they took the phone apart they stated that there were several connectors damaged and they would have to replace the part that I just paid $75 to replace because it was obvious the guy had no idea what he was doing!!!! The other repair shop got my phone back to working fine. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY AGAIN!!!! He may be able to replace a screen or maybe even a battery, BUT there is no way I would ever let this shop EVER touch another of my devises again.... NEVER!!!!!

I was weary of coming here bc i read some not so good reviews but I’m so glad i did. The repair was quick with is always and plus and the best price i found around Midland. The man was very nice. I will come back here the next time my kids crack my phone haha

I never dropped my iPhone 5, I got it refurbished from Amazon, and it was acting fine until a few days ago when it started to randomly reboot. I took it to these guys and they have it fixed the same day. Thank you so much!!!

He told me 60 over the phone and charged us 99 without saying anything when we went. Went against his words. He has signs saying “no refund” all over his shop for those who he screws over. Don’t bring this man your business please.

Do NOT take your phone here. I took my iphone 8 to have the back glass replaced and within minutes of the man starting work on the phone he punctured the battery, the phone EXPLODED, caught fire and the whole shop filled with white smoke. After the fire was out, The mans immediate response was that my phone was too broken and it wasnt his fault His only focus was absolving himself from any responsibility for his careless actions. He totally ruined my phone for which I have only made 25% of the payments. Between having to purchase a new replacement phone and continue to pay on the phone he destroyed for another 18 months, taking my phone to this shop cost me well over $1000 and no phone repair AT ALL!! Shady crooked business!

I seriously wish I could give this place no stars! Cracked the screen to my iPhone 7+ took it to him literally saw him rip my camera off and then he proceeded to say oh the camera broke I need to replace that also then said since were changing the screen the home button may not work and then to top it off my phone would not even turn on it would take 10-15 minutes for it to power on and the screen wouldn’t even work. Had to pay him $100 and he said if I took it to another place and they fixed it he would reimburse what I paid which was $190 BTW they had to replace the screen the camera and 2 pieces he had broken! Then when I went to take him the receipt he didn’t refund me A SINGLE DIME and yelled at me and my mother when we weren’t even yelling at him when we should have been. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE HERE HE WILL RUIN IT!

They call the cops on you to get out of a refund lol. There was no commotion, my father was not rude in any way about it. The phone was returned even more cracked, disabled and wouldn’t charge passed 4%. When returned and asked for a refund they gave every excuse in the book not to refund the money then stating it was his charging port that was bad and then switched up and said it was his mother board that was bad all while being terribly rude. Bad customer service, do not recommend.

Went in trying to get a quote and asking any advice on my phone issues, this man starts taking my phone screen apart without my approval! All I needed was a quick and cheap fix to retrieve data on it to back it up. Now I have a working for 5 mins this morning to just a very expensive trash! Not only that he had quoted me 120$ then talks to my husband and went down to 94$. Now I have a receipt for 154$! Then he changes the price on me again to 190 not including labor!!!!!!!!!!

My friend had his mother’s iPhone 8 Plus screen replaced here due to no certified Apple stores being remotely close to the area. These people are thieves and broke her phone. The screen was not only NOT screwed in properly, but BENT. His mother is a very kind older woman and this business took full advantage of that. She tried taking it back and they did not help. We tried contacting the business MULTIPLE times to rectify the issue, to which they were EXTREMELY unprofessional, and I was hung up on TWICE. At this point, we will be reporting the business to the Attorney General for not only elderly abuse but making a Consumer Protection Complaint as well.Shame on you filthy people.

This place is the absolute worst, having poor customer service and very limited skills.Wanting to give a new business a chance, I took my broken phone screen to them. They quoted me $120 to have it fixed. Most fixes will be cheaper if it is just a crack but my repair also included some other parts due to some water damage that had occurred. My husband was actually the one to drop off and pick up the phone a couple days after Id gotten the quote. When he picked the phone up, the guy said it would be $160. My husband said that Id been quoted $120 and they settled at $130 including tax. But the point is, the price may not always be what you think.In addition to them price scam, the repair didnt work! It worked for a couple hours and later in the evening, the phone stopped recognizing when I was touching the screen. We took it back the next day and they tried to claim that I must have dropped it or damaged it in another way. After continued pressing, they agreed to take it back and look at it again. When my husband returned a couple hours later, the screen was fixed but now all of the previously working sounds were no longer working! While trying to fix this, the repair man wiped my phone and I lost my contacts and photos. And the sound was never repaired still.This company is a complete SHAM and FRAUD. Do NOT give them your business. They are dishonest and incapable of doing what they say them can do.

An they were changed. However they freeze up, and have created more problems for someone who actually knows what they’re doing. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!!

This guy the owner I came to him with 2 phones needing screens replaced. $240 cash later I think great! Except for the fact that screws were not put in the right place so they bounced loose and lodged itself into the battery killing the phone and the charge Port screws were not both in place allowing the screen to bounce open. Also the one that was in there was definitely not the right screw as apple uses specific screws to make it up to each spot. When I went to talk to him about it....he said well if you opened it I cant be certain that I did anything . Guy I just told you the screen is not secure. He put no adhesive on the phone. So of course it bounced open. Terrible buisness practice has the nerve to talk about other people and there practices. Avoid at all cost.

The original job he did was horrible leaving glue residue and part of screen popping up he said it was normal. I asked for partial refund as I understand the screens he orders cost money but he became hostile especially after telling him that his reviews may be true based on my experience. He then kicked me out and said he would not do anything anymore regardless of warranty. BE CAREFUL IF YOU DO GO. Ask yourselves if all those signs in his store and his attitude say something is awfully wrong about the place.

Trash service. I paid 270 to get my screen fixedon my note 5. 30 minutes after I left and called and told him my screen has pink on it for some reason. He told me dont bother bringing it back. I brought it the next day, he said I broke it again and was trying to get him to fix it again. He said I need to buy another screen. He said there was nothing he can do. Pulled out a blade on me when I started arguing with him. HE DOESNT GUARANTEE HIS WORK. bad service.

All the no warrenty signs should of been our red flag we took my wifes phone in to fix the LCD or back light while putting it back together he breaks the oringal screen then puts another screen on and breaks that one to. Then says he will only charge us a 100 dollars for a broke screen since its my wifes phone frame causing that so we leave but none of the top of her phone works so shes takes it back and hes charges her again to put another screen but this one magically fits. We thought the frame was bent right. Do not go there the guy is a just a scam artist ripping people off.

I payed this man $88 for him to fix my phone he told me it was the charging port then I took it home and it still didn’t work and I went right back to him for him to tell me that it was the battery!!!! Rating one star only because I cant give Zero. This place is a total scam and the owner should be locked up. I dropped off my phone for a cracked screen which he assured he could fix for $150. (iPhone 7 plus). So I knew it would be expensive. I picked it up and he put a cheap LCD screen on it which distorts the color and now I can only make calls on speakerphone.The main problem I had was my missing case. I asked him where it was and he said I didnt have a case on the phone and got very defensive and angry when I disagreed. Long story short the police were called and reviewed security footage which shows him removing my phone from the case and placing it on the edge of his desk right before a 2nd individual walks out of the store with it. This POS then tried to backtrack and said my Ottorbox cas was just a $20 case and hed take $20 off the price. I currently have an open investigation with him through MPDI will NEVER NEVER NEVER return to this store and I hope anyone reading this takes my advice, and steers clear. I will be reporting to BBB tomorrow

First, I think its important to describe what state the phone was in when I brought it to Syed (The owner): It fell from a low shelf and the front was cracked. It wasnt so badly shattered that I couldnt see the screen, I just couldnt click anything. This phone also has a sensor that let me look at the time by waving my hand over the top. That sensor was working perfectly when I brought it in. Everything was responsive except the actual screen itself. Lights, sounds, everything else worked.I took my phone in on the 22nd of June. I was told a part would be in by the 29th and Id get it back on the evening of the 30th. He asked me to leave my phone with him the entire time and I obliged thinking since he had a brick and mortar business he would be a reputable business owner. Spoiler: Hes not.He claims to be 20% less than the mall but they quoted me $99 whereas he quoted $145.I went back yesterday, the 30th, and retrieved a dead phone that looked like mine only with a fixed screen. He never told me if the repair was successful. I took him at his word that the battery was just dead and accepted the phone (I figured since it had been there a week, a dead battery would make sense). I put it in my purse and only took it out once I got home. I immediately plugged it in and the screen flashed a dead battery symbol, then a 52% battery symbol which was odd. So I tried turning it on to no avail. I unplugged it and tried again, nothing. I let it charge to 60% and still nothing. So, I started checking out the phone and noticed that on the top right side of the screen, it wasnt even adhered down properly. With very little pressure I was able to lift the corner up. I saw on the receipt there was a 7 day warranty and since this wasnt my error I decided to take it back up there to have him fix what he didnt properly do.We got back there less than an hour later. He was sitting with a man across from him. I ask the man if he was in line/if I was cutting and he politely told me no and let me go ahead to talk to Syed. I explain to him my issues with his repair work and he looks over the phone and immediately accuses me of dropping it. My fiance showed him the parts of the phone that couldnt have been broken in a drop (The speaker screens missing, the glue, etc) and he handed it over to the man across from him. That guy looked it over, pointed at some things and asked him something in a foreign language all while still pointing at the phone. Syed responds in the same language and starts telling us were liars. We argue our points once more and he shoved the phone in my face and told me to go to the police.Ive included pictures of his repair work. I have no way of even verifying if this is my property as I cant even get the phone on long enough to see is its ESN matches the one I have on file. This is completely unacceptable for a business to be run this way.

Stay far away from Star Cellphone Repair!!! They replaced a screen and replaced screws in the phone with screws that didn’t fit, a poor screen quality that is making the phone reboot, and lost screws to keep the phone together! When I called to follow up they yelled at me. Please stay far away!!!
